History/Background Story: AnnieJade, also known as AJ, comes from a wizarding family, though she has minimal experience with magic. Her father is a pure-blood, and her mother is a half-blood. When her maternal grandmother passed away, a two-year old Annie and her family moved in with her Muggle grandfather to help him tend to his farm in North Yorkshire.

AnnieJade grew up surrounded by all sorts of animals. While she loved to ride horses and play with the dogs and cats, the goats were her favorite of all the farm animals. When she was young, she would run around the field and play with them. When she grew a little older, she would set up small obstacles in the field and have the goats run through her pretend agility courses. She hardly ever thought of magic when she had so much fun just playing with the animals.

Spending so much time with animals taught her how to be compassionate and care for those smaller than her or less able to help themselves. She would often look after baby goats or horses who had been rejected by their mothers. She learned to read by sitting with these animals and reading to them in order to calm them down and get them used to humans.

She had her first true experience with magic when she was nine. She had been out in the woods at the back of the horse paddock one night, when she had encountered a large wildcat. She had taken off running, but tripped and fell. As the large cat rapidly approached, she squeezed her eyes closed and wished for a tree to fall in its way. While no tree fell, a large branch overhead did snap free and crash to the ground right in front of the cat. Its hesitation was all that she needed to escape and run back to the safety of the house.
