Physical Appearance:
Phoenix's physical appearance is not anything special. Like many girls of her age, she is five feet and one inch tall. She has black straight hair that falls on the middle of her neck and has brown eyes. Nowadays she wears glasses instead of her contacts as she has developed a preference of comfort over style.

History/Background Story:
Phoenix Lyre was born in a beautiful seaside town in Hastings, East Sussex on June 24, 2008. Similar to many people that reside in the town, she does not have English ancestry. Phoenix comes a Singaporean family and is the first generation that was born in England. Due to this, she does not have many family members in England. Growing up, Phoenix was not a troublemaker. More so, she was an observer. She enjoyed playing outside and considers herself as "one with nature". However, she had a hard time making friends because she was too shy. This got worse after her mother separated from Phoenix's dad. Despite that, Phoenix still maintained a healthy relationship with her mother. She attended a muggle school near her home called St. Paul's before attending Hogwarts, which Phoenix thoroughly enjoyed.

Many witches and wizard have their encounter with magic way before attending Hogwarts. Phoenix was no different. Phoenix's first encounter with magic was when she was eight years old. Her cousin gifted her a sweater, which Phoenix thought was ugly. Phoenix was dreading to wear this sweater to school. She was afraid of what her classmates would think of her. Fortunately, the sweater shrank by itself and Phoenix did not have to wear it (she donated the sweater). After the situation, Phoenix told her father immediately and her father figured that Phoenix is a witch (like his close friend). He was also very supportive and still is. On the other hand, Phoenix's mother did not really understand the concept, but she still tried to be supportive. A year later, Phoenix had another encounter with magic. One night she by accidentally she cut the tail of her left eyebrow off which led to her crying all night about it. The next morning, her eyebrows were back to normal as if she never cut them.

Finally, at the age of eleven, she got a letter from Hogwarts. She was beyond excited to meet people like her. On her first day at Hogwarts, she was amazed at the castle and how many students lived and studied there. At the sorting ceremony, she was a nervous wreck because of the number of students in the Great Hall. The hat declared Phoenix as a Hufflepuff, which she did not mind. She did worry that she won’t make new friends or fit in, because of her poor English or her habit of zoning out. Since then, the fear has faded away, and she has made many friends.

Now at the age of 14, her personality has developed a bit more. She is kind, caring, loyal, occasionally shy, and thoughtful. Still, she gets carried away without knowing. Also, her love for nature has not gone anywhere, but she developed a love for art, music and books. Overall, she is excited to see what else is waiting for her at Hogwarts.
