Reading and Relaxing
Atticus sat alone leaning in the corner reading Hogwarts: a History. He hadn't been entirely surprised when he got his letter since in his childhood he'd made a couple flowers bloom, though he still didn't know anything about the school or being a wizard. Still hoping someone who knew more could tell him what was going on, he didn't like goiong into things blind he liked knowing and having a plan. Mainly he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of upperclassmen.
Atticus' mother and older brother saw him off, he was grateful his brother could come despite the large age gap, his brother was always trying to relate to him. Before getting on the train his brother had given him a small photo album with pressed flowers glued in it. Though it wasn't the nicest looking he was glad to have this with so he wouldn't get home sick. Though he doubted he'd have time to realize he was homesick. He hand the photobook in his lap to keep it close.
A new school was hard enough but a whole new world that seemed impossible. Though he was trying to read the history book he wasn't truly reading. He went back to looking at his photobook, I better memorise it now, don't want to be carrying it around school. He looked at the entrance of the compartment and sighed, getting settled for the trip.
