BACKGROUND

Born just northeast of London in a city named Colchester, Elias had a relatively mundane upbringing when one considered he was magical. His father was a muggle with a background in the military and his mother a witch which led to the occasional disagreement around the household in his very early years but nothing that seemed to scar the boy. In fact, in the long run, he seemed to have turned out relatively normal, if not a tad quiet and reserved. He often tended to keep to himself and avoided others though not at the expense of coming across as rude as his father had drilled it into him that respect was an utmost priority.

As for the boy’s magic and proof that he actually belonged at Hogwarts… well, it was an interesting story, to say the least. While playing on a swing set one day the boy noticed that the wind was seeming to catch him just right. He was floating higher and higher than normal and suddenly it felt as if he may, in fact, wrap around the pole at the top. Unfortunately for Elias, this euphoria didn’t last long and he soon found himself plummeting towards the ground his arms outstretched in an attempt to break the fall and distribute some of the impact; a poor choice on his part. Landing with a thud the boy’s arm snapped and he ended up away from school and in a hospital for a few days.

After this, the boy received his Hogwarts letter and found himself sorted into Ravenclaw upon his arrival at the school. So far he is enjoying it greatly despite his ongoing feud with Thomas Baines, who some may call his rival.

PERSONALITY

Elias is a relatively stoic and reserved boy and is often of the belief that his way is the best way. It is this belief that often leads him to quarrel with those he may have otherwise befriended and grown close to. Despite that, if he does find himself befriending people Elias is relatively quick to allow people to be his friends as he never particularly had many growing up, however, he does often find it hard to trust them completely. Only around those that he is truly close to and trusts do the boy's walls come down and his true personality is shown.

APPEARANCE

For his age Elias is relatively stocky and well-built and often finds himself quite literally looking down on those who surround him. His face is often devoid of emotion and often times it seems as if he may be blankly staring at things while he is actually studying them intently. Due to his father's profession and breaking his arm recently, the boy has a military-style crew cut which leaves his piercing blue eyes clearly visible.

Thomas Baines: Rival. Thomas and Elias get on relatively well for the most part. Despite this, the two young boys have n ongoing feud about who the better wizard is and constantly strive to outperform one another in classwork. Although he would never openly admit it, Elias holds Thomas in quite high esteem and is proud to compete with the boy.

Callie Jensen: Friend / Acquaintance. The two met on the Hogwarts express and upon arriving were sorted into the same house. Due to this, they are occasionally spotted studying together in the library or around the castle.

Phel Atwood: Acquaintance. Much like Callie, the two met on the Hogwarts express and shared their journey to school together. They are also in the same house, therefore they share numerous classes and can occasionally be found studying with one another.

Adonis Thorn: Acquaintance. Another boy that Elias met on the Hogwarts express, and the only person who entered their compartment after he did, Adonis and Elias bonded on the journey over their mutual interest in quidditch. They were sorted into separate houses upon their arrival and thus, the two boys do not interact all that often.

Sylvie O'Niell: Acquaintance. Elias and Sylvie met through Thomas Baines. Despite his general predisposition to dislike anyone his rival was friends with, he couldn't help but enjoy the girl's presence enough to tolerate being around her. The only opinion he truly holds of the girl is that she can be a bother while studying.
