Dear Patricia,
Hi! This is Anatole, if you couldn't tell by my handwriting. It has gotten a little better, hasn't it? I think that practice here with a quill might have helped with my hand posture. It feels a lot better on my muscles when I write as well!
Of course, I know you have been wondering how I've been doing at this new school, far, far away from you (I really miss you)! So far, it has been all that I've expected and more (in some cases, less, but I'll mail that another time). I've created a new friend almost off the dot. Her name's Rosie and she's very happy most of the time. She never fails to bring a smile to my face. Influenced by the documentaries you showed me, I even taught her how to dance! Before you ask, no, we're not a couple.
There's also a couple people that remind me of you in a sense. One girl, Claryssa, seemed nice until she whacked me with her ponytail. It hurt. Oddly enough, unlike you, she didn't want me to be formal around her. Another girl wants me to do whatever she says.
I'll always remember you were much nicer than them.
Part of me wishes you were back at my house with me, and you never left, and I never had to leave either. It would be great if one day we could meet up again. I would love that more than ever. Maybe I could even teach you how to dance if you don't know how to already. We could eat cake and catch up, just like a true pair of pen pals.
I want to hear how your life is going back in the real world! Please, oh please write me back! Thanks for being so nice.
P.S. Don't tell my parents you got this letter! I won't send them one, since you have been my best friend from now until possibly the end of time.
P.P.S. Was that you, watching me leave on the train?
P.P.P.S. Thanks for making your address so easy to remember! I really should get going now, shouldn't I?

Dear Patricia,
Hi again. Sorry to be sending letters to you back to back. I know whenever these letters reach you, you won't understand the length of time since I haven't dated it. Wait, maybe I should next time.
For the holidays, there has been a snowball fight and an Easter Egg Hunt, both of which I enjoyed very much and think of you constantly. If you haven't noticed, I miss you!
Well, the reason why I'm writing to you so urgently is that things have pretty much decreased majorly here. I'm always beginning to feel more tired than I need to, and I haven't even begun classes yet.
On the contrary (I just love that phrase!), that isn't my main issue. Let me just say I walked in on one of the scariest things I've seen in my life earlier this morning. Two students I knew, both not the kindest people, were sprinting through the halls covered in blood and miserable. You would have hated it, since one boy did not even have his cloak on. I know you hate horror and gore. I ran after them, nervous and anxious to see what would come, and I tripped again, falling on my face and worried sick about what would come next. I wish those boys were okay though.
Rosie (you remember her from my last letter, right?) hasn't been to see me as much as I thought as well. I have been so caught up in stupid activities like this and all of the others are tied up in work. It seems like we don't hang out anymore.
I always feel like I'm in the background nowadays, waiting and watching a scene to stand back in fear. Well, I gain courage around Rosie, but other times, like today, I just stand back and watch. My instinct hates it. At least I know you wouldn't like me running through the corridors with blood on my face.
I'm always wondering when I'm going to hear back from you. I haven't checked with anyone to even see if they deliver mail here, but if they can let me send these out, I bet they will let you send a note in. I still miss you dearly. Please, please write back.
Sincerely Yours,
Anatole Evans

Dear Patricia,
Hello once more! Sorry last update was a little bit on the depressing side. Take it from me, not everything has been atrocious here so far. The things I discussed last time have warmed up; both of the boys have recovered, and actually, both of them make quite formidable enemies! A prince cannot live his dream without a rebellion, for say!
Well, we haven't actually fought, unless you count words and a fun challenge to find the best rooms in the castle I've set up with the blonde one. His name's Adam (he wants you to remember his name!) and we joke around a lot. He's got some potential within him and someday wants to be a part of something major. He wants to fight bad guys.
The other one in that weird bloody fight thing was Kaegen (who would like you to really, really remember his name) and he's a bit on the strange side, you know what I mean? Like constantly talking about armies and war, and always has this one weird speck of blood in a random place every day? Yeah. He said he wanted people to remember his name, so that's why I mentioned him.
Anyways I told my prince dream to them and they both thought I was crazy. Are you sure people my age usually dream about this? I've heard of girls wishing they were princesses and all, but...well, maybe I phrased it wrong when I said "dancing with fine women." Do you think I'm weird, Patricia?Well, you brought this upon me.
Rosie's basically back to normal, and I saw this giant squid! Truly magical indeed. Also I got onto the Gryffindor (that's a house in the school, look it up or something) Newspaper, writing jokes! I'll see if I can send the newest copy in my next letter. You would be proud at my puns.
Whenever I mention my prince dream, or go dancing with Rosie, I can't help but think of you. Is that normal too? I really don't even know how to classify normal anymore at a school filled with crazy (mostly crazy awesome) people!
I've said this a million times, but write. me. back! I. miss. you!

Dear Patricia,
Hi! How are you? I wish I knew, right? I'm sure your life certainly hasn't been as interesting as mine, but interesting nonetheless. It must be nice that my parents are no longer a bother. Did you notice I cared to date this letter for once?
There's just so much I have to tell you! Sorry if this is long, and maybe you can't even read half of it because of my handwriting.
First off, there's this new event they do every year called Blossomfest, basically celebrating spring. It's really fun, because it's like the fair. They set up different booths and you go around, doing as many events as you want! The ones so far have been a Flower Crown making lesson (I was not the best at that since I came late), and even a maze hunt for a goat! My teammates, Sabrina, Reid, and Eris, are really cool (I think you might want to remember these names). Sabrina's the head writer of the newspaper I work for, and is surprisingly nice. Eris and I were a bit rough at the beginning, but she grew out of her earlier cranky mood and has gotten better. I don't know much about Reid.
My favourite part so far of Blossomfest has been a ballroom dancing lesson they're holding. I'm dancing with Rosie again and there's going to be a spring ball at the end! I don't think I can contain my excitement in words!
In other news, I had a crazy idea that actually worked, for once. You might not be so fond of this as I am, but...I'm putting on a production of Beauty and the Beast with some students and decided to cast our Transfiguration Professor (I'll explain Transfiguration later, assuming you don't know from the name), Sergei, as the main lead. I'm playing Gaston and Adam's playing LeFou! I'll be sure to keep you updated on that.
Well, hate to break it to you, but you've reached the end of my happiness for this letter. There's another set of bullies I've come across. Yes, Adam is still in the picture, but there's a few new ones I'll have to describe in brief. Max Avery beat up a kid and his bark's somehow as sharp as his bite. I was feeling a little confident and went to go visit him in the Hospital Wing to not much avail. Dorian Gray, one of Gryffindor's top students, is really good at creeping me out and insulting as well. Albert Pedraza's a flat-out jerk. They scare me, and they tease me a little about it. I just hope I'll stay strong.
If you were here, maybe you could help me take them on. I'm sure you know a lot more about discipline and could really help me out, especially since our Head wasn't great at noticing.
Whenever I dance with Rosie, I'm stuck thinking of you again. Stop being so memorable! And reply!
