Afternoon in Diagon Alley  Closed

Your character MUST have knowledge of the wizarding world and how things work.  I don't like roleplaying with characters who are completely clueless as it makes the roleplay not go anywhere.

Cynthia stepped out onto the steps of Gringotts into the bright sunshine one afternoon.  She had just visited her vault and withdrew some money which jingled slightly in her money pouch inside her purse.  She had already bought her new school supplies for her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft And Wizardry, which would be starting up next week.  She decided to come here and do her own personal shopping for things that were not related to school.  Her parents would have joined her for some shopping that day, but they had some urgent business at the Ministry of Magic that required their immediate attention.

She slowly walked down the steps of Gringotts Bank and strolled along the cobbled street of Diagon Alley.  It was not extremely crowded, but crowded enough.  Witches and wizards were happily going about their own business.  Cynthia wondered if she would meet up with any of her friends.  Perhaps if she did, they could just spend the afternoon doing a bit of shopping together.  She was looking in the window at a display when she heard someone calling her name.  She turned and saw one of her friends and smiled at the sight of them.  Perhaps she wouldn’t have to be alone after all.

Isabella slipped down on the hard wooden bench, biting her lip nervously. 10 minutes had passed, and still no one here to pick her up. She rummaged into her bag of newly bought items and randomly picked out a book. A History of Magic. Isabella flicked it open to a random page, and while her eyes remained on the page, her stomach churned nervously. Surely someone would come to pick her up.

After a few minutes, Isabella shoved her book back into her bag and looked around. She couldn't stand here forever. The best option would be to go to Flourish and Blotts. Felix, her brother, would be there. In fact, every time her family visited Diagon Ally, he was there. Unlike Isabella, he was drawn to quiet evenings with books piled next to you, the fire roaring, a cup of coffee next to you. Just as Isabella was about to head towards Flourish and Blotts, she realized she didn't know where she was. Well, that wasn't entirely true. She was next to Gringotts, but where to go now? She had no idea.

Isabella spotted another girl next to the steps of Gringotts, with short brown hair and pale skin. She rushed over. Unlike some people, Isabella didn't have a problem with strangers.
'Um.. excuse me, but would you happen to know what direction Flourish and Blotts is in?'

Cynthia loved coming to shop in Diagon Alley.  It was nice that her parents trusted her enough to come here on her own.  All she had to do was promise never to set foot in Knockturn Alley as it was a dangerous place.  Even her parents would never go there unless they had to something for work.  So far they hadn’t experienced a situaton where they had to go down Knockturn Alley.  They didn’t want to worry their young daughter if something were to happen.  At the moment, Cynthia was looking at a display of Dr Filibuster's Fabulous Wet-Start, No-Heat Fireworks in the window of one of the shops.

She looked around when someone came up to her and asked about the bookstore.  She was a girl about Cynthia’s age.  She noticed the shopping bags and figured the young girl must have been shopping herself.  “Flourish And Blotts is just over there.  I was heading there myself.  I need to pick up some blank journals for my parents so why don’t we go together?  My name is Cynthia, by the way.  Are you starting at Hogwarts this year too?” Cynthia asked.  She was always friendly to other people, especially those her own age since she was more like to strike up a friendship that way.

Lisabetta walked along the streets of Diagon Alley, loving the atmosphere of this amazing place. She had been here quite a few times before with her parents, but this time she got to come alone. Well, if you counted 3 security guards who were never too far away alone, that is. She always thought that her parents were too overboard with their security measures, honestly, it was kind of embarrassing. Most of the other children her age were either with their parents, siblings, or just simply here by themselves. She was trying to decide where she wanted to go now that she had received some coins from Gringotts. She was surprised that she wasn't exhausted after that trip, it always took WAY too long when she went to Gringotts. Why did her family's vault have to been at the literal bottom of the bank?

She noticed two girls that looked about her same age talking with each other not too far from where she was standing, and she recognized one from when she was inside the bank. She wasn't exactly a social person, not being raised around other children her age very much, but she knew that she wanted that change. She mustered up all the courage she had and approached them, quickly regretting the decision, she had no idea what to say. She tried to think of something quickly, how awkward would this be to just be standing here?

"Hello. Are you two new Hogwarts students?"

Cynthia had hoped to make some new friends while in Diagon Alley and now it seems as though she was.  She smiled at the thought of a new friend or two.  She knew her parents would be quite interested in hearing all about her day.  They always were.  Cynthia and her new friend were approached by another young girl who seemed to be close to their age.  She seemed like a nice-looking young girl.  She had dark hair and bright blue eyes with a kind look upon her face.  Perhaps she would become another new friend.  She seemed to be here alone as well so Cynthia was glad to have her join them.  “Hello.  Are you two new Hogwarts students?” She asked.

Cynthia and Isabella stopped when they heard a new voice calling to them.  “Yes, we’re starting a new year at Hogwarts.  Are you starting there as well?” Cynthia asked the girl.  “By the way, I’m Cynthia and this is…uh…Gosh, I’m sorry, but I don’t know your name,” Cynthia had to admit.  They have not been properly introduced and that was a bit embarrassing.  “We are heading over to Flourish And Blotts.  Why don’t you come along with us?” Cynthia asked the newcomer.
