A long walk Solo Finished

It was the weekend, which meant no lessons for two days. In fact, it was Joey's first weekend at Hogwarts and he felt a long walk around the grounds of Hogwarts would do him good. He had, after all, only been outside twice during his first week - once for Herbology and once for Flying class.
He came out of the Entrance Hall and turned left towards the Quidditch pitch. Joey had never seen a Quidditch pitch before - he had read about them and seen pictures but had never actually seen a real one, so thought this was as good  a place to start exploring as any. It was just before lunch - he had taken some extra rolls and pastries from breakfast that morning and was planning to eat sat outside - and the sun warm warm on his face as he walked down the path. There was a gentle breeze, just keeping the sun from being too warm but the sky was blue and cloudless.
As Joey got closer to the Quidditch pitch, he was astounded by the enormity of it - the height of the hoops and stands - dressed in the colours to represent the four houses - jumped out at him immediately. He walked a lap of the pitch, taking at least 20 minutes, trying to ingrain every detail to his mind.
Joey, knowing he would undoubtedly be back, decided to leave the Quidditch pitch and head towards the lake. Walking across the grass he spotted a fairly small Oak tree, on its own at the top of an incline, midway between the lake and the forest and headed towards it, thinking it the perfect spot to sit and have a bite to eat.
He reached the tree and sat in the shady side, his back leaning against it and removed the book he had borrowed from the library, Beautiful Beasts of the British Isles, from his pocket along with the food, wrapped in a napkin and a bottle filled with water - he had found one of his larger, unused potion bottles perfect for it, being big enough but still able to fit into his pocket easily. He took a bite of a croissant, before putting it down, picking it up and letting it fall open onto a random page - Nifflers.
Chuckling at the sketched drawing of a niffler, he reached down and picked up his water. Upon puting it back down, after taking a swig, he noticed - or thought he noticed - a small, stick-figure jump out of view into a small fissure in the trunk of the tree. He paused and stared at it. He was sure he had seen it - a small, green, stick-like man, with small green leaves pertruding from the top of its head. He looked up to make sure nobody was around then turned aound onto his knees to have a closer look. There was nothing there, all he could see looking into the gap in the tree was darkness. He turned back around and sat down again, unsure if he had really seen it and went back to reading about Nifflers and eating.
An hour or so later, after eating 3 croissants, a pain au chocolat and a cold bacon sandwich and after reading about Crups, Kneazles and Glumhumbles, as well as finishing the page on Nifflers, Joey decided he should probably head back to the castle. He put what was left into his pockets, had a glance at the tree fom any more stick-men, and set off, deciding to walk along the edge of the lake on his way back.
The water was black and shiny, reflecting the sunlight and intensifying its brightness tenfold, almost to a blinding level. Joey wandered aimlessly towards the castle, along the stony edge of the lake, the giant squid occasionally, lazily, flicking its tentacles out of the water, breaking the smooth surface and sending ripples all the way to the far shore, wondering what else could be in the lakes depths.
