Evelyn Woode was born to young parents Sean and Dinah Woode on December 22nd, 2007. The two came from pureblood families but didn't see marriage in their future, it was a strange institution that excluded the LGBTQ+ community and bonded people legally to abusers in the past. They eventually got married for financial and legal reasons in 2010 when Evelyn was 2 years old. Her brother Shamus was born before she turned 3 and she would go on to have six siblings in total: Shamus (~3 years younger), Jessica and Jasmine (~4 years younger), Wren (9 years younger) and Francesca (11 years younger). She was raised in a very loving home but her distant family on both sides despise her and her sister. Even though she showed magical prowess from a young age, she always felt as though she wouldn't belong in the wizarding world and it only fostered her ambition to prove herself and to thrive. She always thought that she would be put into Ravenclaw like her mother and father, considering how much she loves books and studying - but her desire to become respected and her ambition to be powerful outweighed that. Even though it was a shock, she finds that Slytherin fits her very well and she hates others that claim every Slytherin is evil, she will stand up for her House with pride.
