History/Background Story: Katherine grew up in Plant City, Scotland, a small rural area. Plant City was just a small historic place where most of the population grew up to be farmers to work on the farms. She and her family grew up in the outskirts of the town where there was more land and was not as near the small city in the center. They were close enough though, that if they did need anything from stores to even her school (before Hogwarts) that it would only take around 15 to 25 minutes.
Her parents, Kassandra Jolin and Jamie Jolin, were very protective of their "baby" girl. After all they weren't supposed to have any since her mother was counted as barren by a professional doctor. Kassandra and Jamie Jolin are both from Scotland, however Jamie is from the Highlands while her mother grew up in Great Britain but was born in Scotland. Her parents met in The highlands of Scotland in the grand school of magic, you guessed it, Hogwarts. They were both placed in Hufflepuff so they naturally met in the common room in their sixth year of Hogwarts, while her mother was talking to her friend Rie. Rie also knew Jamie, so she decided to play matchmaker. Dating for them was a breeze and Jamie didn't mind the fact that she was "supposedly" barren, he always did say they could adopt. That was before one night Kassandra started to get sicker then normal and after awhile they came to the conclusion she was pregnant.
Born to them on September 16, 2008 was Katherine Jolin. A bright and spirited young girl. She was their pride and joy. So to them it was only logical to protect their baby girl from their world. It was much to dangerous for her, the muggle world would suit her better. They never did talk about the wizard world to her. They hid all their stuff from her and out of her reach. Their wands though was always kept on their person If they needed to speak each other in secret about whats happening then they would when she was asleep. At times when she was a baby they would let some words slip, but since she was a baby they figured she wouldn't question it. Which was true at first but as Young Katherine grew older, her mind became filled with curiosity and her mind was a bit more developed. She started to learn words quicker, knew how to add earlier then all the other kids, and was just had a mind of her own by kindergarten. One day when her dad let the word "Muggle" slip in front of Katherine, She of course asked, "what's a muggle da?". Her parents started to freak out, not wanting to learn at least one thing about their world. They covered it up and said it was just a type of animal, Katherine trusting her parents, accepted their answer. They were the best parents anyone could ask for. They were sweet and loved Katherine to death, but knew how to handle her when her temper or curiosity got out of hand.
The more Katherine grew, The more the thirst of knowledge came to her. She was Enthusiastic, positive (though she did have her moments of doubt at times), smart, a bit of a temper(thanks to her father's blood) and of course always curious. Her second home was the public library in Plant City, so if you couldn't find her then they would always check the library for her. She just wanted to experience whatever she could. She loved history and the culture, The thought of far off places just sent her hours of thinking (which sounds like torture for anyways else but she loved to imagine what could have happened at those places and times.) Though her favorite book genre was always Fantasy. Just the thought of the things that couldn't exist amazed her to no end, little did she know she would have her wish come true one day.
They were the best parents anyone could ask for. They were sweet and loved Katherine to death, but knew how to handle her when her temper or curiosity got out of hand. So when one day when the mother daughter pair were in the kitchen. Her mom just took out freshly baked chocolate chip cookies out of the oven and Kathy's favorite, so of course she would have wanted one. Now since Kathy is known to have a slight temper at times, when her mom said no she at first pouted but the longer Kathy thought about it the angrier she got. So a few minutes later Kathy is screaming at her mother and kitchen utensils started to fly around the kitchen in every which direction. Her mom just stood still knowing exactly what is happening and calmed Kathy down the best she could. Kathy on the other hand wasn't freaked out (not even mad any more) at all rather she just stood still while her mother tried to "calm" her down. She was in awe and just connected the dots that this incident was caused by her.
She wasn't mad with her parents, no no no, she asked them about everything and anything she could. For hours she had her two parents spill everything about their world and Kathy just soaked it all up like a sponge, all while having a big smile on her face. She even had her parents take out all of their stuff that they had in hiding for years so that she could look at them in wonder. Her parents even gave her their old books from their old days, which she was ecstatic about. Kathy's parents knew they could no longer hide it from her, so they even told her about Hogwarts. Now Kathy sends at least a letter a week at Hogwarts to update her overprotective parents, their relationship together still strong. While Kathy is here at Hogwarts she still is looking for answers no matter if it's the bitter truth. She wants to learn more, make friends, and even learn about who she is in the process.
