Serena sighed softly as she looked up into the lake. Homework was incredibly boring. She knew it was important to do, but ugh, she did not understand half of the gibberish that these teachers spoke. Some of them seemed to be speaking another language entirely. Like transfiguration was beyond complicated. Divination was confusing, at the best of times. Why couldn't everything be as simple as flying or Quidditch to her? Tell her to fly around and find a snitch, she could do it. But this? This was all needlessly complicated. Some subjects were okay but others, ugh.

The third year sat with a few of her textbooks. She was reading through one of them, trying to do a bit more research on the topic. The assignment would be due in a few days and she had yet to start. Research was always a good place to start this.

She had defied what she had deemed to be the impossible in the past three years. She had learned a lot, dreamed, believed and lived her story. Her education became a valuable asset to her. She knew that better than most. When she was eleven, she had failed to cast a basic spell. A spell that would have changed everything, if she had been successful the first time around.

The Hufflepuff was sitting on the grass, leaning against a large tree. She was sat towards the lake, allowing her to overlook the beautiful water sparkling whenever the sun came out from behind the clouds and hit it. It was not so chilly today. She had her cloak on, which helped keep her warm but she did not need to bring out the hats and gloves for such an occasion. The fresh air was certainly pleasant. It made a good change from being cooped up in the slightly stuffy common room.
