History and Set-up:
The Blossom Ball is canceled for a number of reasons. The largest one being: it is too dangerous. Between the reckless activities of students and the fact that the staff at Hogwarts has become aware that there is something or someone very dangerous lurking about the grounds, we do not feel it is in our best interest to have another Blossom Ball this year. 

This addresses the main story and the events of the past year. It shows that the Professor staff is not incompetent or blind and that they are attempting to keep the students safe.

The Reaction
A planned group of non-staff students decide that they deserve a ball. They want to dance with their boyfriend or their girlfriend. They want to dress glamorously, in fact some already have their suit/dress. A planned thread with 4 non-staff students, preferably one from each house that are active. Invite the top 2 from each house in terms of point earnings to ensure likely we have that many to make a secret club where they will plan a party. 

The to do list
They have 3 tasks:
1. Find a Prefect and IC convince them to help sneak out of the dorms at night. Preferably each dorm. (this is Prefect facilitated). If they can convince an adult (cough Olphie), that works too.
2. Find a location that will not likely be noticed (dungeons, basement, grounds far from the castle, etc. Each area has a point value that is secret. Some places have a 0% chance of working, others a 90% chance. Each Professor (that wants to) rolls a d100 depending on the location, they may discover it. How this will be done I can demo later.
3. Set-up the party and let people know about it. 

Obviously, the adults were right. IF the party happens, something will go very very wrong.

Hi everyone! I'm super super stoked for this plot! @Solomon Lear, I think a discord group would really help us with pitching ideas to each other!

In the meantime, I'm gonna introduce myself to those who don't know my character: this is Aaron Jones, a muggle-born first year who turned twelve in January. He is obsessed with Quidditch, and he is currently waitlisted to join the team as a chaser. He is not normally a rule-breaker, but with the recent disastrous event that's happening in the Hufflepuff Common Room, he's actually motivated right now to treat his fellow housemates and other first years to a good time with this ball! He is best friends with Sean Hearth and Lydia Cooper (two of our fellow secret ball planners), and he also has a relatively good relationship with Olphie if we need someone to help convince her ~ (or if we go a different direction, that's fine too!)

About my character:
Opeila Seilun is a halfblood, who turned 12 a few weeks ago, on the 12th of March.
She is a very moody person, quite unpredictable when it comes to that. Sometimes she snaps at you, sometimes she is nice.
What she will always support is group activities or events, she would totally break the rules to make the blossom ball work.
The only person in this group that she knows is Sean Hearth, who she counts as good acquaintance.
Opeila would have an idea how to push the rather romantic Olphie, who was hellbent on shipping her with another student. Opeila would push that button to convince her.

Hi everybody, so I agree that a discord group would probably be good to get our ideas in order and how we are going to set-up everything. I'm excited to see everyone's ideas !

So just for a little basis on my character, he wouldn't really be the type to want to set-up an event like this but he found himself dragged into it by his best friend Aaron. He has an emotionless demeanor and can seem very cold when trying to be friendly, so i think it'll be interesting to see how he gets his ideas across to the group. He has already met Lydia and Opeila who are both also in the group. Breaking the rules never really bothered him if it seemed like the right thing to do.

Count me in! This is going to be really exciting to organise and everything.

About Lydia:

Lydia is a 12 year old girl (13 in October), that up until a couple of weeks ago thought she was muggleborn, when she's actually part-vela. She's usually a pretty joyful and positive person, that wants to always see good in people; she's very friendly, and usually sticks by the rules, even though she would break them if she believes it's for a good cause. Aaron is her best friend, and she also knows Sean; unfortunately she has no particular relationship with prefects or professors, aside from the normal kind, but she's very into organising and planning parties and all of that, since she had done that several times for her birthdays and her friends' ones back at home.

This will be awesome. I agree a temporary Discord group would be helpful!

Peri isn't much of a rulebreaker (or dancer) either, but he isn't afraid to "bend" the rules to get results Because he hopes to be an auror someday, he goes out of his way to practice investigation and research. While he tries to exercise caution and be conscious of his weaknesses (like being an 11yo boy who knows very little magic so far), he's heavily invested in the mysteries hanging over the school right now. If he heard some students were trying to throw a rebel ball, he could see it as an "opportunity to run a social experiment". Despite his love of knowledge he is deathly intimidated by teachers, he isn't sure how he's supposed to interact with them yet, so he wouldn't be much help in that department. He is getting up to speed on dangers around the school though, so he would try to make sure this "experiment" at least takes place in a (hopefully) safe environment.

Atlas has always been a trouble maker/ prankster and already with her short time at Hogwarts she has pulled off quite a few pranks so although she isn't one for being girly or dancing she would love the idea of a rebellious ball plus she may have a sort of large secret crush on her childhood friend Ethen so if it would give her a reason to impress him she would definitely be in. 


Atlas is very easy to talk to you and although she mostly spends all her time with Ethen, she is eager to make friends and really absorb herself into the school culture considering she was an only child and spent practically all of her time with her family. 

She hasn't ever planned an event before but with her fearless/adventurous nature she could be good with pyrotechnics or lights or whatever to give the ball some oomph!

April 7 (Tuesday)

• Sean invites Opeila to the planning group

April 8 (Wednesday)

• Rebellious Ideas for Bold Huffles - Lydia and Atlas - Lydia meets Atlas for the first time and will lead to Atlas' recruitment for the group

April 9 (Thursday)

• Pericles encounters a meeting of the group and volunteers to join in, also warning the group of possible dangers
• Discussion of location/time and decision to spread the word by mouth (no physical invitations)
• The idea of inviting Olphie to join is born

April 10 (Friday)

• A Lot of Sway - Opeila and Aaron - go to talk to Professor Olphie Bercegeay about being the "sponsor" of the ball and helping them with it
• Pericles mentions the idea of including some clubs in the ball

April 11-12 (Easter weekend)

• First mention of the ball to these non-organizers will go out:
  • SPREAD THE WORD - Aaron will spread to Gris (can spread to Martial Arts Club and to Gryffindor girls)
  • Opeila will spread to Slytherin girls and Flash (Slytherin boys)
  • RUMORS HAVE WINGS - Lydia will spread to Rafael (reaches out to Gryffindor Quidditch Team and Gryffindor boys)
  • SECRET MISSIONS - Atlas will spread to Ethen (Hufflepuff boys)
  • THE WHOMPING INVITATION - Sean will spread to Willow (who can spread to Hufflepuff Quidditch Team and HHAWT and Hufflepuff girls)
  • Pericles will spread to Ravenclaw (and the Arts and Orchestral Society)

April 13 (Monday)

• Rumors of the Blossom Ball begin to spread among the general population

April 14 (Tuesday)

• A Friendly Chat - Aaron recruits a photographer for the event! Santario Martin!

April 25 (Saturday)
