Dale checked his backpack, instead of the usual books and food he kept in there, there was something a bit more, something very special. Inside of the bag, there were at least 15 bags of thermite, each one with just enough ingredients to cause the appropriate reaction, a column of fire that reached up to 5-7 feet, maybe 8 on a good dry day. A grin appeared on his face, he planned to sell the bags, all of them, he knew from the past balls that there was a market for things that make fire. He had been sharing the news, telling some random people and asking them to pass it on, he made is sound pretty cryptic so that the professors/prefects wouldn't find out. Only those who really wanted his wares.

Dale made his way out of the Slytherin dorms and up to the abandoned bathrooms, a place he found himself spending a lot of time in... sadly. He felt anxious walking through the halls like someone would stop him and search his bag, he knew that would never happen, but still just walking through the halls with a bag full of thermite made him very nervous. He kept side glancing people out of suspicion, he hoped they didn't notice him.

He finally made it to the doors of the abandoned bathrooms, almost no one was around. Which was perfect, less people = less chance of getting caught. He pushed opened the doors and entered the broken down bathrooms, he made his way over to the corner and sit down, he placed his gad down and pulled out one of the bags of thermite. On the front of all of the bags was a label, it read "To activate: Use incedio on the bag, be sure to point at the center of the bag. If you can't use the spell find someone who can. Make sure to stay as far from the bag as you can, it's hot enough to burn through iron." and near the bottom of the bag in a finer print, it read "Dale Kurt is not responsible or liable for any damages to property or people that may occur" and in an even smaller text, that you can barely read it said, "product has a high chance to fail." He smiled, looking forward to a day of profit, 10 sickles per bag may not be much... but it would add up.
Note: It's all IC, you don't have to give up your precious sickles. Also please note that the thermite will not work, as your character tries to light it, nothing happens. The bag just melts.

The Hufflepuff had never had a reason for Jack to visit the abandoned toilets on the second floor, but the rumors about certain events there were aplenty. Today he had decided to change that. The boy often acted on a whim, and today was no different than any other....so far. Luckily today was the perfect day!

With a careful step, Jack entered into the dusty, dead stalls of the second-floor lavatory. Actually, they would typically be empty, but what he found instead was a vender of sorts—an unexpected turn of events for sure.

With a sudden burst of confidence, he strode directly in front of the salesman, with his small bag and little description tent. "So...what do we have goin' on here?" Jack crossed his arms and carefully inspected the older boy with a cocky grin on his face. "You givin' these out or somethin'?"

Jack felt this was kind of strange, even for the odd crazy school's standards. Crouching down, Jack snatched ahold of the label and read it aloud, "To activate: Use incedio on the bag, be sure to point at the center of the bag?" He askes, before continuing, "If you cannot use the spell, find someone who can. Make sure to stay far away- It can burn through iron?" He looked up once again to gauge the dude's reaction. He didn't even to bother to read the small print

Lawrence was, without a doubt, without question, absolutely, quite indubitably, lost. This was a common occurrence. He was supposed to be on his way to potions class... or was it transfiguration? Perhaps defense against the dark arts.

Hold on, what day was it?

The confused first year stumbled on into the abandoned toilets. His mouth hung open... not out of astonishment, but that's just how he was a lot of the time. It took him a moment to notice that there were two other students in there as well.

Lawrence frowned. He glanced down at the pile of books in his hands... then back up at them. Then back down at the books, then up at them once more. "...Hold on a minute." He mumbled, "You're not professor Masoud. And neither are you!" It occurred to him then that he couldn't even remember which professor he was talking about. Clearly, Lawrence was not as well acquainted to Hogwarts as he thought just yet.

It was only then that he noticed the bag Jack held in his hand. Lawrence's eyes lit up as quickly as his books dropped to the ground, and he scurried over as fast as hit little legs would take him. He was constantly aware of how much shorter he was than the others, but tried to put that aside in his mind for now. Lawrence tried to get a look at what Jack was holding, then glanced at the stash, picking up one of the bags himself. He looked up at Dale, a glint in his eye, "What's this, then?"

Dale was a little bored, thirty minutes of waiting and not a single person had come by, he started to doubt anyone would come by. He had pulled out a small book he had stored away in the front pocket of his bag and started to read it. Another 30 or so minutes passed by, a bit faster this time, and he heard the familar creaking of doors. He looked up to see a guy walk through them and approach him

"So...what do we have goin' on here?"

Dale examined him, he looked pretty sure of himself, he carried himself with confidence... and maybe a little arrogance. Dale smiled, this was exactly the type of person he needed. He had a reason for selling his thermite, not just to cause a bunch of drama, but to gain data. After all, he was only one person, but if he could get say... 15 people to run "tests" for him, then he could perfect his recipe even further. It was the perfect plan in Dale's eyes.

"You givin' these out or somethin'?"

Dale's smile was matched by the other guy's cocky grin, he read out the label and looked down at him. Dale got up and dusted off his black jeans, he stood at least 2 inches above the boy, "Well, im not exactly giving these away, but they are for sale... with a few conditions." Dale said, happy his stutter didn't rear its head.

"...Hold on a minute."

Dale heard a voice behind the other guy, his heart stood still for a moment, thinking it was a perfect, or worse, a professor. But no, it was just another boy, he sighed in relief. "You're not professor Masoud. And neither are you!" Dale didn't even know that there was a professor named Masoud... maybe he should pay attention more in his classes. "What's this, then?"

Dale wasn't very keen on telling him the truth, it sounded like this kid was close to a professor, and even if he wasn't he keen on even taking the chance. But he had thought of a plan long before, "Oh, I was just giving my freind here a bag of a spice mix." Dale eyed the first boy trying to get him to follow along with him.

The suspicious boy answered in the most untrustworthy way, right after standing. "Well, I'm not exactly giving these away, but they are for sale... with a few conditions." The handsome older boy said. The scarred Hufflepuff was not a fan of being smaller than other people, even less so than somebody a shady as a guy trying to sell stuff in the bathroom.

Suddenly, a voice cut through the somewhat soft-spoken loo conversation. "Hold on a minute." it started as Jack with the speed of a child who had been caught in the act, whipped his head towards the new voice.

"You're not professor Masoud. And neither are you!" Who the hell was professor Masoud? Jack had never heard of that professor. He would know, considering Jack had some rapport with most of them. "What's this, then?" the unexpected boy continued.

Jack had little to say before the bathroom stall salesman went on-"Oh, I was just giving my friend here a bag of a spice mix."

Jack Warren knew a lead when he heard one. "Yeah, Spice. I wanted to try cooking with it. Make some good grub, y'know?" The delivery wasn't exactly the best, but Jack thought he did well enough.

Lawrence nodded as they spoke, having to look up at them both since he wasn't even four feet yet. Soon enough, however, his gaze had already drifted elsewhere. He had quickly lost interest when Dale mentioned it was a simple trade of spices and nothing more. The worry of missing class, that had plagued his mind not a minute ago, was now practically nonexistent. "Right," he mumbled, dropping the little bag and stepping past them, further into the room. He gazed up at the ceiling, then looked around at the abandoned stalls and broken, rusting sinks and mirrors.

"I ain't never been in here before..." Lawrence muttered, almost to himself. He then turned back to the other two, his eyes lighting up as if he had only just remembered they were there, "Have you been in here before? I ain't never been here before." Lawrence generally spoke quite softly, and didn't seem to notice his repetition.

"How many people d'you think come in here, anyway?" The little badger had begun to try climbing up the side of one of the stalls, "I bet nobody don't come in here much. Not the professors at least. Bet I could have, like, a secret hideaway in here or something." Having reached the top after much struggling, he tried to balance himself on the corner, so that he wasn't just sitting on a single board. How he would get down, he had no idea, but that was a concern for later. "D'you come here often? I never been here before, actually." He paused. "You been here before?"

Continuing her exploration of the castle Maria once again found herself on the second floor. She had heard that there was an abandoned lavatory around and wanted to check it out for herself. Of course she wasn’t exactly sure what she would find there, but as usual her curiosity got the best of her. Why were the toilets abandoned? Did they still work? Were they closed off to students? What would people do there if they weren’t? She laughed at how silly her questions were but it was a slow day. There wasn’t much to do in her dorm so she decided to get some answers. Taking her time she eventually neared the area where she was told the toilets would be.

As she approached, she heard voices. Male voices to be exact.
"You're not professor Masoud. And neither are you!"
A voice shouted.

“Who’s professor Masoud again? And why would he be in a bathroom?”

With a shake of her head she decided to enter the bathroom.

There she found two boys, a Slytherin and another from her own house, standing in corner with a small bag. With them was another, smaller, Hufflepuff boy who seemed entirely disinterested with the two boys were as he was too busy checking out the rest of the stalls. She could quite get a read on the two boys but they looked like they were trying to act calm and cool.

“Well, this is usually the point where I ask what in the world all of you are doing, but I‘m not sure if I want to know now.” She called.

Ana was concealed behind a corner, nervously regarding the scene before her. She had come because there had been cryptic rumours going around the school all day - some guy selling stuff in the abandoned toilets, explosives, if she'd understood it correctly. Something you could use to pull a prank on somebody - which was exactly what Ana wanted.
However, she had been prepared for being alone with the "dealer". The small crowd of students gathered in the bathroom was kind of unsettling. Ana decided to wait until she had figured out the situation: what was each of them doing there?
One student, a Slytherin, was definitely the boy trading explosives. He had about fifteen bags about him, each was filled with a powdered substance and had a small white label on it. Ana quickly did the maths in her head: if he managed to sell all of them, he'd have thirteen Galleons and seven Sickles by the end of the day. Not bad. Most first-years could only dream of that kind of money.
There were two other boys with him, two Hufflepuffs. One of them had clearly expressed that he wanted to buy one of the bags, then covered up the detention-worthy incident when the other boy came in, claiming the contents of the little plastic bag to be some sort of spice mix. He would not rat her out to one of the Professors - they were all in the same boat, if he told anyone about Ana trying to buy explosives, she could say the same about him.
The second Hufflepuff was much more difficult to figure out. He had a soft, childlike voice, had apparently been looking for some Professor - Professor Masoud. Ana had never heard of him. She doubted that he existed. Still, she could not be sure, and despite the guy seeming very much harmless, someone who had a close affinity with a teacher was dangerous in this kind of situation.
The boy was now climbing up the side of a stall and perched on top of it. Ana very nearly burst out laughing at this peculiar sight - a boy sitting upon a toilet stall, talking about secret hideouts and such. Maybe he was harmless after all.
However, the fourth person in front of her, the only girl in the room... that was a different thing. She didn't seem to know what was going on, and it was possible that she would be running to a teacher or prefect as soon as she found out. “Well, this is usually the point where I ask what in the world all of you are doing, but I‘m not sure if I want to know now.”, Ana heard her say in a loud but calm voice. She leaned forward, inspecting her robes. Another Hufflepuff. Why were there so many of them here?
Carefully weighing up her options, Ana decided to play along with the spice thing. "Nothing", the Ravenclaw said coolly, strolling out of the shadows and entering the bathroom. "We're just exchanging spices. Tips on cooking and baking." She turned to address the Slytherin with the bags still in his hand. "You're the one who's selling them, right? I'd like a particularly... fiery mixture. You know, the kind that makes your mouth burn. Maybe with a little chili in it? I'll be having a party soon, and I'd like the food to be a surprise." She winked slightly, making sure to stand at an angle where the other girl could not see her eye. "This one's also wanting to buy some of your spices, right? As soon as you've finished the transaction, maybe you could come with me. I'd like to test them out a little, just to make sure you're giving me the right package." Ana could be naive sometimes, but she knew that it was possible that the Slytherin just wanted to make money by selling fake explosives. His house increased that chance even more - after all, Slytherins were known for being deceptive and cunning. She wouldn't pay ten sickles for anything unless she had made sure that it worked.

Dale was getting tired of this, he wasn't here to talk or lie, he needed to get these things out there. And running a test here and now would take too much time. He honestly didn't care about the money, he just wanted to get these things out there, and the faster the better. All he needed the money for was to buy potion supplies... but it looked like he would need to do more errands to save up for those. "Ok listen" Dale addressed all of the people on the bathrooms. "All of us look really suspicious in here, and to be honest I don't really care about the money I'm getting from this." He looked around the room at everybody "If you want one of these bags, the only conditions are that you don't tell anyone where you got them, and you report back to me if it workes or not." Dale eyes everyone in the room, he wasn't used to being this assertive and didn't really like it all that much. "Now take these bags and leave, and make sure no one sees you leaving, or all of us are in big trouble, me more than you." Dale put his bag in front of him and motioned to The two people who were there to buy his product and not interrogate him.

Ana frowned upon hearing the second-year speak. "All of us look really suspicious in here, and to be honest I don't really care about the money I'm getting from this. If you want one of these bags, the only conditions are that you don't tell anyone where you got them, and you report back to me if it works or not. Now take these bags and leave, and make sure no one sees you leaving, or all of us are in big trouble, me more than you." They did look suspicious, meeting in an abandoned bathroom that no  student would have an appropriate reason to be in if they weren't planning something... out of the ordinary.
However, Ana thought that the Slytherin's behaviour was even more suspicious. Why would he give away explosives that were worth ten Sickles per bag for free? If he was that worried about getting caught, he wouldn't have tried to sell forbidden substances in the first place - unless he was extremely arrogant. Was the boy afrad of someone investigating what he actually had in his bags?
Ana scrutinized him carefully. He was definitely hiding something. "Don't you dare try to fool me", she announced, folding her arms. "I don't care about the money either." That was certainly not true. Ten Sickles were a lot for the Ravenclaw, and she was relieved that he wanted to give away the bags for free. "But I want to make sure that it works. We'll test them. Now.", she commanded, grabbing a bag.
