Going to the unknown
Aquarius couldn't sleep that night. Her first night in fact at Hogwarts, so she decided to wonder through the school. She hoped she wouldn't get caught by prefects, but she just couldn't sleep, she couldn't help herself yearn for adventure. Even though Hogwarts was already an amazing adventure. She then wondered,
"Hmm should I get back t-" She was then cut off by a sudden noise. She then became serene. Noticing a door to a bathroom stall open.
"Huh?" She then went closer to the door. Feeling startled when she seen a mouse come out of it.
"Phew....just a mouse...." She said almost leaving the area and heading up to her dormitory, but then a cold breeze of wind touched her skin. She then couldn't resist but go into the bathroom which seemed abandoned.
" H-hello? Anyone there?" She said curious. She then took a bigger look at the abandoned bathroom.
" I wonder if anyone comes here anymore..." Then another noise came by. But this time it wasn't from inside the bathroom but from the outside of it.
" Oh no! It must be a prefect!" She said then hiding inside one of the bathroom stalls. She stayed there until they walked by.
"Phew a close one I hope...." She said then looking over to see someone else there. O-O
"H-hello! Please dont tell!" She said sweating more than ever.

Riona knew better, she definitely knew better--Ma had lectured her on responsibility the night before she left for Hogwarts. If I hear that you've broken some simple rule like staying out after curfew, I'll take you out of that school so fast your ears will be ringing, Ma had said. But behind her Da had been "subtly" winking, so it wouldn't be that bad... right?
Whenever she couldn't sleep at night, Riona would take a walk, and gaze up at the stars until she felt small. She had tried to do that tonight, but Hogwarts was huge and dark and she had gotten lost, very very lost. Ducking into a seemingly abandoned bathroom, she sat on the closed lid of one of the toilets in the nearest stall, Ma's voice echoing in her head. If a Prefect or professor came across her... She whispered prayers beneath her breath to gods she didn't believe in. What to do now? She had no clue.
She didn't have time to form a clue, either, as then she heard a voice. She sat very still, holding her breath, hoping whoever it belonged to would go away. Instead, the voice drew nearer. Crap.
As the voice became more clear, it became evident to Riona that it belonged to neither Prefect nor professor--indeed, it sounded like a fellow first year. She started to relax, until she heard another set of footsteps.
"Oh no! It must be a Prefect!" the voice said, and a young girl stepped backwards into the stall Riona was hiding in. "Phew, a close one I hope..." The girl turned to step out of the stall, but caught sight of Riona sitting there. "H-hello! Please don't tell!"
Riona smiled in what she hoped was a reassuring way. "Why would I, when I'd get in trouble too? I'm breaking the rules as much as you are. Riona Murphy, by the way. And you should probably stop talking so loudly."

" Oh yes." Aquarius said breaking into a whisper, still a bit startled that another person was there in the bathroom as well.
" Well hello Riona Murphy. I am Aquarius Laven. Its nice to meet you!" She said with a smile. Then she wondered to herself,
Why does this bathroom look abandoned? Does anyone go here anymore? She wondered looking around with her head a bit. But then looked back at Riona and then smiled and nodded at her reply.
" I came here because I couldn't sleep. I was wondering around Hogwarts and then I found this bathroom. It seemed...mysterious, then something about me wanted to explore it. There was also this cold grasp.. I don't know maybe I'm imagining things. What about you?" Aquarius asked hoping that no one would hear them, because if her father heard about this then she would be in a lot more trouble than being caught by a prefect. At least she thought. She hasn't seen her father in such a long time that she doesn't know what he would do.

At Riona's words, the girl did lower her voice to a whisper, so that was good. "Well hello Riona Murphy. I am Aquarius Laven. It's nice to meet you!"
Riona smiled at this. It was always good when someone was actually, you know, being nice. "Aquarius is your name? Like the constellation and the, oh what is it called... the zodiac sign?" The girl smiled and nodded in reply. "Well, Aquarius-who-was-named-after-the-stars, what brings you here? To these toilets. At this time. I mean."
Riona listened with a slight smile on her face as the slightly scared-looking girl told her story. A cold grasp? She hadn't felt anything like that when she first came in... But now, maybe, just maybe that sick feeling in her stomach wasn't from fear of being discovered. "I don't know, maybe I'm imagining things. What about you?"
Riona shrugged, keeping a cheerful smile on her face. "I couldn't sleep either. The first night at an unfamiliar place usually does that to you. I was trying to find my way outside, 'cause walking under the stars helps me calm down, but I got very very lost. When I finally realised I was getting nowhere, I came into this uh not looking the best way bathroom. And then you showed up." She continued smiling, yet wincing when she heard her voice echo off the walls. Hopefully there were no Prefects or professors nearby. If there were, then she would have a difficult time explaining to Ma exactly what she had been doing.

"Me too! I really want to go outside by the lake, I don't why but I do, I--"
Riona had been smiling at this girl's contagious happiness, but the sound that interrupted her left Riona on edge as well. Was that a Prefect? Professor? How many sounds had there been in this bathroom so far? Surely there weren't that many people also wandering the school... A feeling of dread pitted itself in her stomach. The bathroom had seemed harmless at first, but it looked abandoned and avoided, and probably for a good reason, too. She was starting to regret her late-night wanderings.
"Do you hear that?" the other girl asked, stepping out of the bathroom stall. Riona herself stayed where she was, hardly daring to breathe, hoping that whatever was going on would sort itself out--this castle was magic, who knew what kind of weird supernatural things happened here.
The girl turned around, a strange look on her face. "W-was that you?"
Was what her? Had Aquarius felt the "cold grasp" again? Riona had no clue what was going on, and half of her wanted to get the hell out of there, and the other half wanted to do like Sherlock and investigate. The Sherlock half won the internal battle, and she got up, walking over the few steps over to Aquarius.
"No, it wasn't. What happened? Aquarius?"

"No, it wasn't. What happened? Aquarius?" Questioned Riona.
Aquarius then spaced out for a few minutes and then started looking around her.
I-I feel like i'm over exaggerating. If I tell her, will she think the same thing? She wondered.
Maybe I should ask her if she feels any sign of it.. Aquarius thought as she looked back at Riona.
" I-I'm sorry, I just spaced out. I don't know if it's the wind or not." She said looking at an old window that seemed closed.
O-oh no! W-what's happening!? Just calm down and ask her if she feels any sign. Aquarius thought a little scared.
" I have a question, I don't know if i'm the only one feeling things odd in this bathroom. Have you felt any cold feeling or a sick feeling in this bathroom? Sorry I know it's not a big deal." Aquarius asked worried but feeling a bit brave and ready to find out.
I wonder if it's all a dream. She said as she pinched herself unnoticeably.
Ouch! Not a dream. I've gotta stop acting this way! It's not a big deal i'm sure. The only time I should worry is if things get out of hand. She then thought to herself as she took a deep breath as she was getting ready to see what Riona's reply would be.

The wind? She glanced around the bathroom, but all the windows were closed. That's weird. There goes my theory that we were getting ourselves worked up over a cold wind. Investigation mode had been activated, and now, one way or another, she was determined that she would find out what was happening.
"I have a question, I don't know if I'm the only one feeling things odd in this bathroom. Have you felt any cold feeling or a sick feeling in this bathroom? Sorry I know it's not a big deal."

"Yeah, I've been feeling... weird too. I don't know what it is, but I know what it's not. It's not the wind, it's not just in our heads and it's not that dangerous either, 'cause the professors wouldn't keep something dangerous in an easily accessible area. Replied Aquarius who was currently fidgeting with her hands.
So based off of what Riona had said, maybe a student is in here? Or someone put a curse in this bathroom. I’m not so sure.. I can tell Riona is a better detective than me. She thought not disappointed or mad, but more happy that they were figuring out what was in the lonesome abandoned bathroom. Aquarius then heard a noise that once again was not from in the bathroom.
A prefect? Oh no! I hope not! She thought backing up into the bathroom stall.
" Pst! I think it's a prefect!" Aquarius then whispered to Riona worried in hope that it wasn't a prefect.
