Certain Expectations  Solo   Finished
Perseus was finally going to Hogwarts, this was the day his family had been waiting for. Both his parents would now be freed of all six children for almost an entire year and they made it clear to the Karanos children that this was highly wanted from them. Percy was quite fine with this, he would also be getting a chance to be free from some of his siblings which was an opportunity he would take any day. It wasn't only his parents who expected or anticipated something from Percy, it was pretty much the rest of the family. All of them had either been in Ravenclaw or Slytherin and Percy felt they were breathing down his neck and trying to make him more creative or ambitious just to he could get into the houses. The only person who didn't care which house he got in was his great uncle Griffin and he was sorted into Hufflepuff so nobody really spoke about him, he was considered a disappointment to the family and Percy was confident he would not end up like him.

"Alright Perseus you just have a good time and remember whatever house you get, it will be your second home and thus it is completely correct." His father's deep voice sounded from his mouth as the tall man stood straight and proud, only looking down at his children for a few moments. Percy felt like there was a frog in his throat so he didn't reply, instead he just nodded. Would he really be getting the house he wanted? "And try to stay out of trouble, Percy. Your siblings are enough for us as it is." His mother's more soft and kind voice spoke after Percy nodded, she seemed to be trying to reassure him without actually doing this so once again, Percy nodded. His father nodded to, he obviously agreed to her statement and Percy didn't doubt this for one moment. Although he wouldn't be trying to stay out of the way of trouble, Percy would give it a bit of effort as he didn't want to get expelled on the first day.

One of his older brothers touched Percy's shoulder to signal him that they needed to go and that sibling was correct, the train would arrive any minute and the platform would close soon. While his parents had previously told Percy that they wouldn't go on the platform with them, he still hoped. It was the last moment comfort that he wished for before treading into a completely new environment but Percy was already used to his parents not complying to this need or want, they had work and neither thought it too important for them to follow Percy everywhere. Of course the new environment would mean adventure and for that, Percy was excited, but maybe it wouldn't be that great.

Great or not, Percy knew there was no turning back now and sprinted full speed into the wall like directed from his eldest brother who he despised but still, he had more experience with this sort of thing. Going in full speed definitely helped with his nerves a bit as the moment he entered he saw the thousands of young witches and wizards being led on the train by siblings or friends from previous years. Once he saw this Percy figured the whole Hogwarts thing would turn out quite all right no matter what house he got into (still crossing fingers for Slytherin).
