The idea is that for especially poor students or those who can't be trusted with an actual living being, they could get a rock with googly eyes.

It doesn't cost as much as the other pets (glue and googly eyes only) and the roleplay condition to get it includes that the student fails at finding a pet, can't afford one, are allergic, overwhelmed or what not, decide to make one themselves or get one gifted as a token of pitty.

Maybe the rock has a great fighting effect too! Like in one round you can lower accuracy by presenting your glorious pet and confuse the opponent by throwing it (at them.)

In my expertise I'd say this bridges the gap between poor and rich students and could work against discrimination of allergic sneezers.

Here a pic for how it could look like (but maybe with one eye smaller than the other and looking into the wrong direction cause i doubt students are good crafter here):

We have Rock Friend and Rock Friend's Dream House in Dervish and Banges I think. They are not cheap, he is a valued pet and great friend. We also have a sock with googly eyes and a wind up dog in one of our shops.

I love the idea, however you can buy this item in Dervish and Bange, it'd show up in your trunk, instead of on your profile as an actual pet.

Well, I also do not have the power to make new pets on the profile page. That is the site owner and coder, Zach. He is often busy so I am generally limited in the projects I can ask of him (understandably).

Would it at all be possible to add a forum made for IC journal entries? I'm unsure if others fell this was, but I myself still am not sure if journals would be posted in letters, or shelves. (or I think I've seen some in encys). I feel it would just add more cohesion for a single place to clearly post them rather then three separate ones.

This might sounds like a really trivial matter, but something popped up in my mind after reading the newest sport announcement (about duel).

About timeliness... I think this is not only about the moderation, but also about house point distribution after winning a match/competition. I asked this to one of the captain and they said this thing was an admin/staff level duty.

I keep questioning when will I get the +1 house point after winning a sport. Immediately after winning? After every seasonal games is concluded (which I assume is the correct one)? Or yearly?

A certainty -for now and moving forward- about this thing will be appreciated.

As specified in the sports on Hogwarts.io post, house points are awarded after all of that sports’ games are over for the season. So eg once all the summer dueling games have ended, the dueling captains reach out to admin with a list of all the winners so they can award the house points. Same with quidditch and broom racing, dueling is just an example here.

(If you notice missing points, reach out to your sports captain to verify!)

So what I assumed was right. That's why I put this in Forum Suggestion instead of FAQ-Question: I suggested for a timeliness in house point distributions.

I did ask the captain about this, and they said it's admin/staff duty (not everyone in sports captaincy can give +1 house point to the winner, I think). I don't know about other sports, but house point distribution for duel tends to be delayed too long. I believe I haven't received anything since last year's Fall Games, and it's been two, almost three seasons passed. I understand that you're busy. If it's 1 season passed due to your respective irl business or due to different speed of moderation, it would be understandable for me, but 3 are definitely too long.

So, again, certainty -for now and moving forward- will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know where the problem lies that's causing this delay as I'm not involved in and don't understand your structure, I find it difficult to propose a solution. The only one I can propose right now is to have one person on every sports captaincy in charge of distributing points after all the games in every season is concluded. Maybe the one that also contributed themselves in staff level duty

Hihi !! It's just something that came to me while planning my club : would it be maybe possible to add a poll option in posts ? I know we have one when we start a thread, yet for the normal posts we don't. Even if I'm speaking solely for myself, I think it would be highly useful for everyone, particularly for group decisions like IC clubs, or even onsite votes ? For planning and such it would be more practical than having to search and count the replies, or than linking an external poll website !
