Character Backstory:
Theodore was born on a cold, rainy January morning. His parents, Francis and Cassiopeia Abernathy, had been trying to have a child for a long time without success, so Theodore was a small miracle for them. His place of birth was Dorset. Dorset is famous for its beautiful countryside, including rolling hills, meadows and farmland. Theodore's pureblood wizarding ancestors built a red brick manor house on a hill and protected it with intricate spells to keep Muggles out. Theodore spent his childhood there.
Francis Abernathy, Theodore's father, could be described as a quiet, peaceful man who loved his family. He works for the Ministry, but is only a lowly clerk and has never harboured any ambitions to rise to the top. You could say that Theodore inherited his character from him.
Cassiopeia, Theodore's mother, also came from a pureblood family. She always had a way with words, which is how she got into the Daily Prophet. It was often the case that she spent less time with Theodore than his father, as she had to fly all over England in search of new dramas. However, she never neglected her son and spent every spare moment with him.
So Theodore had a loving family, but he sometimes felt lonely, as there weren't many boy wizards in Dorset, so he often turned to books. His father spent a lot of time studying with him because Theodore demanded it. He learned a lot about the history of wizards and magical creatures. It had always interested him. Especially dragons.
Abernathy Manor, though occasionally empty, retained the lingering presence of ghosts in its corridors. Theodore regularly encountered his ancestors floating through the empty rooms. One of his favourites was Gideon. A renowned painter in days gone by, Gideon had gained fame for his portraits of notable wizards. But he died young, tragically and without explanation. There were distinct drops of something on his silver body. Theo was never sure if it was paint or a clue to how he died. He always found Gideon in one of the drawing rooms with large windows. The ghost would hover there with a pensive expression on his face, looking out at the street. Theo often wondered if Gideon was waiting for someone. He never dared to ask. But the ghost was friendly and surprisingly well-read. He would always recommend an interesting book to Theo, mostly by French authors for some reason.
The second ghost to haunt Abernathy Manor was Blaise Abernathy. A ghost of a man with a stern and cruel face. Theo first encountered him in the oldest part of the manor, near the well. The ghost stared at him with eyes like dark tunnels, silent and unresponsive. It stretched out its hand as if seeking contact, causing Theo to retreat and avoid the area around the old well. Then one day Theo read in one of the books that a man called Blaise Abernathy had lived hundreds of years ago and that he had a connection to the Dark Arts.
Theo wasn't completely alone in this world and without friends. His mother had a sister who had a son. His name was Henry and he had always been Theodore's best friend, even though they were as different as night and day. Henry, who was older, had always been the braver, more courageous of the two. When Theodore came to stay with his aunt for the holidays, Henry always took him on adventures. At the same time, those were the only times Theodore got into trouble or was grounded.
Perhaps because the Abernathy mansion, old and haunted, was always empty, and because there were no children Theodore's age, little Theodore always looked forward to Hogwarts. He dreamed of meeting new friends there and maybe even having some of the adventures of his heroes from the books.
First Instance of Magic:
The first time magic appeared in Theodore's life was when he was six years old. He was visiting his aunt and went to play in the garden with cousin Henry. Henry suggested a simple game of hide and seek. Theodore wasn't very familiar with his cousin's garden, so he decided to hide in a place where Henry wouldn't find him easily.
Theodore ran around the garden, looking from side to side, hoping to find a decent hiding place. He spotted a tall oak tree, but it had its first branches planted low. He shot towards it and without hesitation began to climb up. Theodore had never been afraid of heights, so he climbed higher and higher. And then there was a sound: "Theo, I'm coming! I'll find you in ten seconds! You always hide behind our fountain!" Theodore smiled because his cousin was obviously mistaken, so he climbed even higher. Suddenly a branch snapped under his foot. He fell, not even having time to scream. He saw the ground below him.
Suddenly, he came to a halt in mid-air instead of falling onto the hard ground. As gravity resumed its pull, he landed softly in a pile of leaves. He sat up, breathing heavily, and appeared to have no broken bones, scrapes, or other injuries. How was it possible? He gazed up at the tree branches; they were far away and high up.
Then his cousin Henry came running to him. "Theo, I saw it!" he exclaimed and stopped a few steps away from Theo. "You were falling to the ground! I thought... I thought... that you would mess up your face with that fall. Our mums would kill me, if... But it looked like you halted the fall!"
"I dunno what I did," Theo whimpered, tears streaming down his face. He was shaking like a small bird. "I don´t want to play anymore."
Later, when he was inside his aunt´s house and cocooned in a blanket, his Aunt explained to him that he had used his magic for the first time. His magic had saved him. However, despite this revelation, he remained afraid of heights from that day forward.

The mattress could be summoned but it would not appear this quickly. We would suggest instead of summoning a mattress, he could temporarily cushion the ground or stop his fall for a few seconds.

Character Backstory:
ReducioSiobhan McCarty is part of what the town of Killarney calls “The Kookiest Killarney’s” what with their slipshod home, massive stature (each McCarty is above average height with her father and oldest brother both standing at 6ft. 9,) overly boisterous attitudes, and her parents obsession with the supernatural and otherworldly occurrences. Their house is decorated from top to bottom with crystals, dreamcatchers, non-magical herbs &fungi, and Scandinavian runes inscribed over every entryway into the house courtesy of her father’s side of the family. Her mother, whose family has their roots in the theatre, had emblazoned the house in many tapestries that she’s hand-sewn, depicting the climactic point of many plays and myths, her coup-de-gras being the tapestry of Penelope hand stitching her own tapestry to sway her suitors from the Greek Epic, “The Odyssey”. Siobhan is very well-versed in theatrical literature as her family's library was naturally dedicated to the art form.
Siobhan is the second youngest of five siblings, yet no more ordinary than the rest. The line consists of Eoghan (17), Cillian (16) Declan (14), Agatha (13), Siobhan, and Kaitlyn (6). Her parents, Niall and Ophelia McCarty have always believed that everyone has a purpose in the world, and by the middle-toddler years you’ve found your calling. For her brothers, this consisted of sports, debate, and traveling, while for her sisters it consisted of Fencing and dance. But for Siobhan, her parents could never tear her way from the Earth as she spends most of her time in their exorbitant garden, talking and reading to her plants, tearing up weeds, and considering the bugs that landed among her plants. At night she prefers to fall asleep under the stars, her parents having to literally drag her back inside to bed in order for her to get a well-rested sleep. If Siobhan had it her way she would live in the garden forever.
Being the only witch out of a muggle family, Siobhan is grateful that her family has chosen to honor her as an acknowledgment that magic exists. It has been very difficult for the McCarty family to keep this under wraps what with six kids all chockfull of wild imaginations and zero filters. Niall and Ophelia, both worry that one day someone will learn that the McCarty's are even kookier than they come off. Truth be told, Siobhan's little sister Kaitlyn was the one who had answered the door when the professor assigned to inform the muggle-born children had shown up. Siobhan's father had raced quickly to stop Kaitlyn from spilling Siobhan's secret to some random stranger like she had done in the grocery store the other day. If they could even understand the family, as the McCarty's speak both English and Irish in their home. Siobhan finds herself struggling to adjust to life without the constant stream of Irish in her life and will often fluctuate back to Irish if she cannot find the right English word.
Both Siobhan and her parents suspect that she was born with a magical core due to her unusual birth story. It had been a dreary and dark October in Killarney and her mother had been unusually drawn to her garden. There is a flower in the garden that the McCarty's had been growing for nearly eleven years with no sign of blooming but the night before Siobhan was born, one singular pod on the plant had started to turn pink signifying that it would bloom within the next twenty-four hours. Sure enough, when the moon had risen to its zenith on the chilly night of October 30th, 2011, both Siobhan and the flower came into existence.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioSiobhan comes from a muggle family, with neither her parents nor any of her siblings possessing a lick of magic within them. But because of her families unusualness, Siobhan’s family didn’t fully recognize her first instance of accidental magic until they had stopped laughing at her predicament. Because of her older brother’s rambunctiousness, Siobhan more often than not finds herself running away to the forest or into a tree to hide. On her 10th birthday, she was being chased by her older brother Declan and tripped over a tree root. However instead of falling down, she fell up and into the air levitating just out of reach of everyone. She was floating in the air for several minutes until her father got his ladder and came to rescue her, and promising that Declan would be given her chores on the farm for 3 months. /reducio]

The first instance of magic should be something that could be done with a spell by an adult, but it is done by your character without any intention behind it. The FIOM of Siobhan is something that couldn't be done with a spell since no spell makes a plant laugh or squeak.

ReducioThe Metamorphmagus ability has been passed down by many generations in the Keller family. Tracey being the daughter of Nancy Keller, also had the Metamorphmagus ability which shocked her father, Stephen and he was reminded of when Nancy had told him about almost everyone being a metaphor.
It all started when the very first Keller daughter was born. It was over 100 years ago, and the way her parents and herself learned that she was a metaphor was during a family dinner, when she had eaten something that she didn't like and her hair turned from brown to a green color. It shocked everyone including herself, and that was how the ability had started.
At that time, everyone had thought that the ability will only appear in the females, but when Nancy's father was born, he had the ability which had shocked everyone. Another big shocker was when Nancy's mother wasn't a Metamorphmagus, when she gave birth to Tracey's uncle, sadly he was not a metamoprh and neither was Nancy's sister, but Nancy was indeed a metamorph.
It wasn't a big shock when Tracey's cousins weren't metamorphs since their parents didnt have the ability. But when Tracey was born. No one knew if she'd have the ability or not.
Until she was six, there was no sign of Metamorphmagus ability in her. But, after she had turned six, and before they moved to the Muggle world, her hair was changing colors once an hour, her eye color was changing once a day, but her face stayed the same and her hair length stayed the same as well.
It was a shock to Stephan since he thought that Tracey wouldn't be a metaphor, but it wasn't a shock for Nancy. But it certainly was a shock for Tracey.
It was after breakfast when Tracey was getting ready for the day. She was brushing her teeth when she noticed that her hair color wasnt a brown color anymore. Instead it was a dark purple. Once she had finished brushing her teeth, she looked at her reflection and tried to change her hair color back, but her hair stayed dark purple.
She rushed down the stairs and went into the kitchen where her parents were sitting. She told them about her hair color changing and her father was shocked. But her mother explained to her what was happening. Tracey was confused with how and why she had gotten the ability, but when her mother explained that almost everyone in her family had been a metaphor, it made sense to Tracey.
Her mother then taught Tracey how to control the ability, but she was having trouble. When she attended the Muggle school, she got looks from the other students and teachers but no one asked her anything.
Tracey had only started to get the hang of the ability when she was 11, but she still couldn't fully control it. Once she had control over what hair color she'd be having, she kept her hair dark brown and kept her eye color dark brown as well. Maybe later she'll change her hair color, but for now, she'll keep it neutral.
Character Backstory:
Before Birth:
ReducioBefore Tracey was born, her mother Nancy Keller was born as a pureblood witch and had attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy and she was sorted into the house of Gryffindor. Nancy had an older brother, Nathan Keller, who was also sorted into Gryffindor, and had a younger sister, Jessica Keller, who was sorted into Hufflepuff. Once Nancy had finished her schooling at Hogwarts, she became a healer.
Tracey's father, Stephan Bailey, was a muggle born wizard and also attended Hogwarts. He was sorted into Slytherin and had gotten into a lot of trouble during his youth, but somehow made Nancy Keller fall for him. Once Stephan had graduated from Hogwarts, he became a shop owner selling both muggle and wizarding items in his shop.
Nancy and Stephan had met in Hogwarts since they were in the same year, they started off as enemies, but became lovers in their fifth year. Tho their career paths tired to split them apart, they didn't leave each other and they got married. Then a year after they had gotten married, Tracey was born.
After Birth:
ReducioOn April 1st, 2012, Tracey Bailey was born to Nancy and Stephen Bailey as a half-blood witch. She was raised in the wizarding world until she was 6 and moved to the Muggle world and was raised by Stephen's parents until she was 10, when she moved back to the wizarding world so she could attend Hogwarts.
At first, Tracey's parents didn't want her to be raised in the muggle world, but when she had told them that she'd want to visit her grandparents, they let her, since they weren't sure if she'd be able to see them, and before she left, they reminded her to never speak of the wizarding world outside of her grandparents house, and she never did either. But, also Tracey's parents wanted to come with her, but Tracey reminded her mother that she needed to stay in the wizarding world, so her father decided to go with her.
While in the Muggle world, she was sent to the same elementary school that her father was sent to made very few friends there, but she never got bullied. Tracey mostly kept to herself, but she did make some friends that were also quite like her, but she wasn't sure if they were half-bloods like her or muggle borns, so she never told them anything about her being half-blood.
Tracey is an only child, but she does have cousins that she used to hangout with before moving to the Muggle world. Her cousins are all pureblood due to their parents being purebloods.
Once she had turned 10, she went back to the wizarding world to be homeschooled by her mother and learn about the wizarding world, since she had learned quite a bit about the muggle world. Tho, she could never stop relating objects to each other in both worlds.
Tracey's fathers parents didn't want Tracey to go back to the wizarding world, but when she had received her first instance of magic at the age of 10, they knew that she and her father had to go back, so once she had finished school for the year, she and her father said goodbye to her grandparents that lived in the Muggle world and returned to the wizarding world.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioAt the age of 10, she was on her way home from school it was very windy and rainy, didn't notice a tree was about to fall on top of her. When she noticed it was too late the tree would crush her but it didn't. The tree fell in front of her instead of on her. She looked around confused then ran home but tripped on a stick and fell and scrapped her knee, she looked down and there was no blood and the scrape was vanishing. Looked around and didn't see anyone and walked back home and told her father and grandparents and her father told her that she had just received her first instance of magic and told her that they'd be going back to the wizarding at the end of the school year.

There are some things that have to be clear before I can approve this application.
Backstory
- Why did they (Tracey and her parents) have to move to Muggle World? Especially when her mother was a healer because healers only treat magical diseases. Please state more details about it or perhaps the urgency of their moving.
- How did Tracey know her friends were Half-Bloods in the Muggle World? Why did her mother also tutor them about the Magical World? Keep in mind that Wizards keep their existence in Muggle World as a secret so it would be hard to know other Wizard families. Please provide more details about it or perhaps you can change it.
STATUS: Pending, Zach Zaphiere, December 17
Form
Please include the entire backstory from your ency in this application (including the background of Tracey's parents) for documentation purpose.
Backstory
Unfortunately, we can't accept the reason for their moving to the Muggle World as it is not as simple as "I want my kid to know stuff so let's move over there". Keep in mind there are some limitations of Wizards living in the Muggle World.
1. Their magic will collide with the electricity and Muggle's technology.
2. The cultures of Wizards and Muggles are very different.
3. His father despite being a Muggle-born would find some difficulties in Muggle World since he spent most of his time in the Wizarding World since his enrollment at Hogwarts.
4. The chance of meeting wizard friends in elementary school is very low.
Metamorphagus
Metamorph talent is a recessive gene and its appearance is known to commonly skip multiple generations. Please make some changes regarding everyone in her family (Keller family generations) is a metamorph.

Character Backstory:
ReducioElisa Flores grew up in a quaint port town, the daughter of Muggle parents who prized above all image and success. Rosa and Fernando Flores brought up their child to be their doll, their perfect little daughter: pretty, obedient, bright, disciplined, and high-achieving. The fruits of countless hours of study and practice, Elisa grew up always top of her class and the first place winner of numerous piano competitions.
Elisa was her parents' trophy child. They had all details of her life carefully controlled and planned, from the cute ribbons in her braided hair and the clothes she wore to her friends, extracurricular activities, and her future schools and career. Elisa grew up like a trapped bird, her individuality and her own personal dreams and desires stifled and sacrificed to uphold her parents’ image of perfection.
It was a catastrophic shock when her parents discovered that she was, in fact, a witch. Rosa and Fernando were inconsolable. They were losing the image of their precious, perfect daughter and all their careful plans for Elisa’s future were flying out the window. Tears, screams, and denial ensued, but her parents’ reaction did nothing to diminish Elisa's own elation. The young witch was overjoyed to be leaving for Hogwarts. The fact that magic existed was an incredible dream come true. Deep down, she felt she always must have known. But magic aside, her acceptance to Hogwarts meant that for the first time, Elisa would know freedom. Freedom to be herself, to discover life on her own terms, and to even pursue her own hopes and dreams.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioEvelyn's first instance of accidental underaged magic happened when she was seven years old. One day, Elisa’s family cat gave birth to a litter of kittens. One of them was a pure white kitten with bright, blue eyes with whom Elisa instantly fell in love. She named it Cottonball and asked her parents if she could keep it. They categorically refused. However, whenever they tried to take the kitten from Elisa's arms, it would inexplicably slip from their grasp. Nobody seemed able to touch or pick up the little fur ball. Nobody except Elisa. It wasn't until her parents gave in and agreed to let her keep the kitten that the strange phenomenon ended.

Character Backstory: Born into a prestigious pure-blooded family with a strong Slytherin lineage, my character's history is shrouded in suspicion despite the absence of any known Death Eaters in the family tree. The lingering doubt persists, even though the era of Death Eaters has come to an end. The family's lineage is a matter of pride, although the shadow of potential involvement in dark activities looms. The presence of both parents marked her childhood, but tragedy struck when her mother fell victim to a heinous crime shortly after she turned nine. Murdered by her ex-husband, the perpetrator remains at large, and the family continues to search for justice. This traumatic event left an indelible mark on her, shaping her resilience and determination to protect those she loves. Among those loved ones are three younger brothers with whom she shares a deep bond. The responsibility to shield them from harm has become a driving force in her life, influencing her choices and actions. Growing up, she found solace and escape in the world of magic, particularly honing her flying skills on a broom. Her affinity for Quidditch developed from a childhood hobby of playing organized basketball with muggles, transitioning seamlessly into a passion that would later become a serious pursuit. The dichotomy of her magical heritage and her engagement with muggle sports reflects the complex tapestry of her identity. Hello there, I have several concerns regarding your application:
- FIOM
- Your First Instance Of Magic is missing a whole lot of details. What made your character repair a broken glass?, what was the influence behind it?. You can definitely make something out of the statement you provided. I would refer you to check the FIOM guide.- Backstory
- Kindly Provide enough details regarding your character's backstory, I have taken a look at your Student Card and there seem to be information about Mental Description squeezed in in order to reach the 220 word count. When we are looking for the background information/backstory, we are looking for details about your character— such as, where they were born, details about their family history. Kindly provide more details.
- Encyclopedia
- Please note that, we need to be able to see the Encyclopedia page before indexing you, we need to see the trunk and also the first post with mandatory information. For more details, visit this thread here

Character Backstory:
The Hatter family is a big, grand tree with deep-seated roots and high-reaching branches - well established within the Wizarding community and known for their strange lines of works chosen, colourful individuals and large families. At one point in time, the Hatters were known for taking harsh measures to keep 'mud bloods' out of both their own family and the Magical world alike, something which still stains their reputation at times as well as their view on anyone of "not-pure" heritage.
After a slow and gradual switch in mindset, Valdemar was never raised to frown down upon those of non-pure bloodlines - though still very much raised with the awareness that there are, in fact, those pure, those half and those muddled, leading one to be above the other, naturally.
By default in a large family, Valdemars' home life has never been very calm nor quiet. Being the second youngest in a hoard of eight, magic-wielding children to two often occupied parents who (at times of need, leading busy careers: his mother a Journalist and his father an Arithmancer) would swiftly place their children's care in the hands of grandparents or aunts and uncle alike, and the (to his eternal dread and suffering, when feeling particularly dramatic) only boy of the lot. Which, if being realistic, hasn't affected him more than the occasional fall-out about how unfair it is for no other reason than that his vote always pulls the shortest strand. 'Democracy' is the word that normally meets him when complaining, followed by an ear-twist.
This doesn't mean it was, or is, un-good by any stretch of the imagination - it has just meant that he smells of dandelions and cocoa, forced outside (on multiple occasions) with cheeks caked in blush and knows very little about resurrected knights (because that's obviously what most boys his age are interested in. Obviously).
What the surname Hatter does come without, are heaps of friends. If not for their past feud with non-magic born or half-bloods alike, then due to their tendencies for. . . unique ways and personalities. It's not that people take large measures not to talk to them, it's just that few choose to stick around. For this particular reason his parents settled for all their children to do homeschooling until their Hogwarts letter arrived, a common practice within the Magical community and therefore nothing which raised many eyebrows.
Hadn't it been for his many siblings, Valdemar might've found himself rather lonely (being a viciously social being), but now only smell possibilities at the prospect of meeting new folks.
First Instance of Magic:
That it would happen was of no concern or worry, having had no squibs in the family for many, many years (none at all, if asked Nan) but no one had foreseen Valdemar to be quite as late as he was - most of his siblings having had their first instance of accidental magic by the time they turned six. They'd always spoken of how lucky his birth date was and how it must mean great things for his magic, yet maybe it would prove the opposite entirely?
None of this was voiced to Valdemar, believing that it would do little good to make him feel alienated and worried; everyone and their late ancestors letting out the deepest of exhales as he (two weeks before his eight birthday), during a brawl with his older sister June about whether or whether not a Unicorn should classify as a Herbivores as it "does, in fact, hunt and devour flesh on the regular based off of Scandinavian tales" when - with red ears and red cheeks - the book in which they were looking, came jumping up with full force into June's face; like a cat pouncing its pray.
(Of course, this came with a scolding - one 'lacking all bite and unfairly short' if asked June.)

Jam was born from a wizard father and muggle mother. She had lived in a small but charming town in England all her life, rarely travelling unless it’s to the next town just a car ride away. She lived a regular muggle life, only hearing stories of the wizarding world from her father until she received her Hogwarts letter. The girl was never really close with her mother, due to her somewhat disapproval of the wizarding world. It wasn’t that she disliked wizards and witches, but rather found it incredibly unsafe for her children. Even though her mother was reasonably cautious, Jam sometimes got into arguments with the older woman. The young girl was very eager to learn about magic of all sorts, and felt that she was ready. Despite her soiled relationship with her mother, the girl shared quite a tight-knit relationship with her father. He often spent his time telling her stories of his time at Hogwarts, keeping her excited for her letter to arrive.
Jam was closest to her grandmother and her older cousin, who lived with her. She had a sister but she was a few years younger and the gap in their age forged a gap in their relationship as well. Her grandmother would go out with Jam all the time to the market, sharing stories of her travels and life working in several different countries in her lifetime. This soon became a dream for the young girl, hoping to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps and travel the world.
Her older cousin was like a sister to her. She knew everything there was to know about Jam, no matter how reserved Jam tried to be to everyone else. Her cousin was the only person the Ravenclaw girl could trust with her secrets, and the older girl would always understand. They did almost everything together; camping, baking, grocery shopping etc. If there was one person Jam could call home, it was her older cousin.
Jam went to school just like all the other muggle kids her age. She was a good student, well-liked by teachers and peers alike. She participated in most school events, putting in a lot of effort into all her work whether or not it was graded. She rarely broke any school rules, unless she felt mischievous and cunning, then she would join her friends in pulling harmless pranks around the school. Jam has never gotten into any serious trouble, but was still a fun person to be around once she feels comfortable.

First Instance of Magic:

Jam had known all her life that one day she would be going to Hogwarts, but that didn’t stop her from looking out for her first instance of magic. It only happened when she went on a camping trip with my cousins on the banks of the River Thames in London for the first time when she was 9. She considered this to be quite late in her life since her father had known he was magical since he was 5. The place was quite deserted and not many muggles were around since it was just after winter. The only 2 tents set up were on the opposite side of the banks and the campers were all inside their tents. Jam’s cousins were setting up the tent when dinner time rolled around so they instructed her to light a fire and cook the noodles that they had brought.
Jam was sure she knew how to light a fire because how hard could it be? It seemed the matches in the box we brought were faulty though, as none of them could spark a flame. Her cousins were calling out relentlessly from the back about how hungry they were, after hearing that Jam hadn’t even started cooking yet. The girl tried to explain how the matches weren’t working, but the complaints never eased. In frustration, Jam threw the box of matches on the floor. Just as the box made contact with the floor, the makeshift stove caught fire and it burnt bright and orange. Before Jam could process the situation, her cousins reappeared and started to cook, causing Jam to stay silent about the sure incident of magic until she got home.

Alis's story begins with Sophrina Luminaflore, an illustrious Metamorphmagus of her era. This extraordinary witch, renowned for her ability to change her appearance at will, hailed from a magical lineage celebrated for its rare and captivating talents. The Luminaflore family, steeped in ancient magic, had once held esteemed positions in the wizarding world. Their sprawling estate, Luminsworth, nestled in the heart of a secluded English countryside where rolling hills met an endless sky, stood as the focal point of the town and community. Luminsworth, marked by a stunning wrought iron gate, luminescent pathways, domed towers casting shadows over strange iridescent flowers, and an impressive grove of silver-leaved trees that synchronized with the moon's phases, was a symbol of the family's legacy. According to legend, the pale-stemmed trees formed a profitable enterprise for the Luminaflore family. The delicate leaves, it was said, were meticulously processed into a fine powder- aptly named Stardust. This shimmering substance, when added to drinks or food and consumed, allegedly bestowed a temporary sense of euphoria, allowing the imbiber to forget their worries or pain without lowering their inhibitions in any way. It was an odd, happy feeling- the essence of Luminsworth.
As a young wizard settling on the land, Sophrina's triple great-grandfather found himself entranced by the peculiar trees, their ethereal glow standing out against the evergreen tapestry. It was through serendipity, during a time of hardship, that he discovered the magical properties within the leaves one evening. Brewing a fateful tea that struck silver, not gold, he founded the town of Silverleaf shortly thereafter. Across generations, the town became renowned in the magical world for its lush landscapes, charming cottages, unique vendors, appreciation of the arts, and overall hospitality. It stood as an idyllic retreat for visitors seeking a pleasant holiday, marveling at the otherworldly trees. Above all, however, the town was noted for its rich history rooted in the fascinating magic that ran through the Luminaflore family.
The Luminaflores drew inspiration from the enchanting night sky, making stargazing a cherished family tradition. Countless Luminaflore evenings were spent beneath the celestial canopy, where family members gathered to share stories under the expanse of stars. They held a deep belief that this nightly ritual forged a profound connection to the astral energies that guided their unique magic. Elders of the family would skillfully point out constellations, spinning tales of ancestors who, as the stories went, now watched over them from the stars. The Luminaflores were renowned for hosting two extravagant galas each year. The first, known as Starfall, unfolded in late spring, while the second, Solstice, occurred after the first snowfall.
These luxurious gatherings were meticulously timed to coincide with celestial events of great significance- lunar eclipses, rare planetary alignments, and other cosmic wonders. During these magical events, the Luminaflores, particularly the younger family members, would exhibit their rare and captivating magical abilities. Under the watchful gaze of constellations, they danced until dawn, paying homage to their unique gifts. Starfall and Solstice evolved into revered traditions, attracting unique and prestigious magical beings from far and wide. The galas became a showcase of Luminaflore magic, where the family's extraordinary talents were displayed in all their splendor, creating an atmosphere of wonder and enchantment for those fortunate enough to witness it.
By the time Sophrina entered her late teens, the Luminaflores had basked in three generations of opulent wealth. She took it upon herself to preserve her family's legacy, adapting to the changing times to ensure the survival of their dynasty. Despite her parents' caution against using her Metamorph gifts too openly, to avoid trouble, Sophrina found herself compelled to employ them in various ways. A pivotal moment arose when an arsonist targeted their family estate, reducing a quarter of their sacred grove to ashes before the flames could be tamed. The next evening, in response to this dire situation, Sophrina, who had previously limited her gifts to practical reasons like adjusting her appearance for social events, decided to take matters into her own hands. Sneaking out into the town at night, she transformed into a wizard she had once observed in her father's employ. Confident that the man she now mimicked had long departed from the town, she hoped to uncover the identity of the culprit undisturbed. Despite her efforts to casually engage in conversation and gather information, the town remained silent, offering no leads.
Disheartened, Sophrina retreated along the winding cobblestone path to her quarters in the east wing of the manor. As she approached, a light emanating from the adjoining cottage caught her attention, indicating that the groundskeeper's son, Aervo, and one of her dearest friends, was likely awake. With a mischievous idea in mind, she crept around to the tiny, cracked kitchen window. However, her plans took an unexpected turn when she overheard a male voice that wasn't Aervo's but rather his father- Osiris Noctis, her own father's closest childhood companion and confidant. The revelation shattered her as Osiris confessed to the crime of arson with no remorse. In a heart-wrenching moment, he expressed his deep-seated hatred for the Luminaflores, particularly Sophrina's father, revealing motives and grievances she hadn't anticipated. Osiris, who had been raised on Luminsworth, felt entitled to a larger share of the family's lucrative industry for his many years of service.
The burden of exposing Osiris as a jaded outsider now weighed heavily on Sophrina's heart. She resumed her normal appearance and approached her parents' chambers to wake them, ready to relay the betrayal she had uncovered. This revelation marked the beginning of a generational family feud, leading to the banishment and poverty of the once beloved Osiris, the Noctis family dubbed pariahs in the town of Silverleaf. Exile was the harshest punishment her father could muster for his old friend. While Sophrina faced scolding for her daring escapade, her parents couldn't help but be both proud and thankful for the abilities that had protected their family.
Sophrina's legacy extended through multiple generations, gifting witches and wizards rare magical abilities, among them coveted Metamorphmagi gifts. However, four generations down the line, Sophrina's descendants faced a dire situation. They reluctantly harvested the final yield of silver leaves from Luminsworth before embarking on a journey to escape, taking any remaining valuables they could with them. In a desperate bid for survival, they sought refuge on the delicate border between the muggle and magical worlds. Once celebrated for their extraordinary talents, these gifts had now transformed into a crucial means of survival- because they were being hunted.
Centuries had elapsed since Sophrina Luminaflore exposed Osiris Noctis's betrayal, sparking a feud that eventually compelled the Luminaflores to forsake their magical legacy in Luminsworth. Osiris's descendants nursed a lingering animosity, dwelling in squalor and scheming vengeance in the shadows. Aric, Osiris's great-great-grandson, grew up immersed in tales of Luminsworth's grandeur and the Luminaflores' alleged mistreatment of his ancestor, who had succumbed to madness in embittered despair. Studying the intricate history between the two houses, Aric firmly believed he comprehended the complexities that held the Luminaflores accountable for his family's misfortunes. Fueled by an unrelenting thirst for revenge, Aric delved into dark magic, seeking forbidden knowledge to dismantle the enchantments shielding the Luminaflores.
Over time, Aric assembled like-minded individuals, forming the clandestine organization known as Umbra Noctis. Dedicated to eradicating the Luminaflores, whom they perceived as heartless elitists, Umbra Noctis sought to bring an end to their reign for good. Their pursuit of vengeance led them to ancient tomes, concealed artifacts, and dark rituals. Aric, a proficient dark wizard, harnessed familial knowledge and conducted sinister experiments to enhance his magical prowess. Members of Umbra Noctis, propelled by a sense of entitlement and a thirst for Luminaflore blood, willingly embraced the forbidden arts.
As Umbra Noctis grew in power, so did their influence. Rumors of their malevolent intentions reached the Luminaflores, prompting a painful decision to disperse abroad in the belief that it offered their best chance at survival. This separation led them to relinquish long-held astral traditions, severing ties with the peculiar magic associated with honoring the night sky, their ancestors, and the ancient silver-leaved trees deeply entwined in Luminaflore heritage. The family, battered but unbroken, came to realize that their power was a double-edged sword- one that invited both wonder and peril. Fearing the relentless pursuit of revenge, many chose to abandon their magical nature, finding solace in the mundane life of the muggle world or reserving magic for only the most essential needs in the magical world.
Two generations later, Alis's own triple great-grandfather, Alexander Nyx, emerged into the world with the Luminaflore blood coursing through his veins. This ancestral connection remained a secret from Alexander's mother, however, who was born into concealment and raised in the muggle realm. She was completely unaware of her magical lineage until her abilities manifested spontaneously, and her letter from Hogwarts arrived. It was then that she discovered a small fragment of her pureblood, Luminaflore history, but there was no mention of Metamorphmagi or the rare magical abilities her ancestors were once admired for from neither her parents any of her elders. Having had no knowledge of his Luminaflore kin or other Metamorphs, Alexander regarded himself as a misfit. Determined to avoid the prejudices of the time and the attention of unsavory wizards that sought to exploit those with rare magical abilities for their own wicked agendas, he resigned himself to a solitary life. In his solitude, he built a home with a reserved and studious pureblooded witch, with whom he had two children, his line tracing all the way down to Jareth Nyx- Alis's father.
Upon the revelation of Alis's Metamorph abilities at just one week old, when her eyes had been a kaleidoscope of color that seemed to mirror her emotions, her parents and elders embarked on an extensive exploration of their family lineage. Leveraging Jareth's connections within the Ministry, the Nyx family meticulously traced their ancestry, uncovering the connection to the audacious and remarkable Metamorphmagus, Sophrina. The pursuit led them to bridge the gap with the latest generation of Luminaflores, though this proved challenging, as many had either vanished into the muggle world, their magic suppressed to the brink of extinction, or were shielded by protective charms that rendered them beyond reach. Despite these obstacles, a few Luminaflores, resilient against the test of time, emerged from seclusion. One of them arrived with precious gifts, after hearing of the resurgence of Luminaflore magic in the infant, when Alis was merely a few months old- ancient, starborn trinkets passed down through generations, bearing a legacy of darkness & wonder. Alongside these celestial treasures, the Luminaflore relative presented a carefully compiled book that chronicled the family history, a narrative that boasted both pride and secrecy, revealing the Luminaflores’s extraordinary journey over the course of centuries. The book, with its silverleaf & seven-pointed star emblem, became one of Alis's favorite to read as she grew.
Alis seamlessly integrates her Metamorphmagus gifts into her daily life, using them for both practical and playful purposes. While she tends to keep her emotions private, her abilities serve as a subtle outlet for self-expression, with changes in appearance reflecting her mood. Alis embraces experimentation with her look, trying different hairstyles, eye colors, and clothing styles as a means of self-discovery and identity expression. Initially concerned about fitting in at Hogwarts, Alis now feels that her gifts might provide a unique advantage in social situations. Whether conforming to popular styles or standing out on special occasions, her adaptability helps her navigate the diverse social landscape of the wizarding school. Over time, she transitioned from self-consciousness to appreciation, viewing her abilities as an integral part of herself. Alis's primary goals include mastering control over her gifts. Given the historical feud with Umbra Noctis, she plans to use her abilities for defense if needed, subtly adapting to different situations with grace and stealth. She also dreams of contributing to magical research, exploring new facets of Metamorphmagi magic, and preserving the legacies of both houses- Luminaflore and Nyx.

Alis hails from Wellington, England, where she lives with her loving family. She has two big brothers, both of whom have eyes that gleam like molten gold- a warm fusion of brown and hazel- and each with wild temperaments (and probably far too much charisma) to match. Gideon, a fourth year Gryffindor, has unparalleled humor, wears his heart on his sleeve, and certainly plays the part of protective eldest brother. Finn, a second year Hufflepuff, is equally goofy, but can be a touch reserved and seems to not have a care in the world most days- apart from flying. He would take his broom around the world and back non-stop if he could.
Alis’s mum, Twyla, is a lovely, rosy-faced woman (muggle-born witch) who shares the same beautiful dark hair & gentle hazel eyes as her sons. She’s a tailor by day (cleaning & creating fabrics of all textures and hues) and artist by night. Often hosting her ‘Brush & Butterbeer’ events in the sunroom she’d converted into a brightly colored studio, Mum has become well-connected in the small magical community of Wellington. Witches and wizards of all walks of life seem to appreciate her opening the doors of her home to enjoy a moment of inspiration in good company. Alis & her brothers sometimes anticipate these events, waiting eagerly for the array of sweets the guests often brought in gratitude. They would fill their plates and scamper off to play gobstones or exploding snap, occasionally sneaking a peak at the various paintings. Alis's love of horses/riding & art stems from her mother's upbringing and creative gifts.
Alis’s dad, Jareth, is a tall, fair featured man who works for the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Cooperation. Often traveling for months at a time to attend to his duties, he works tirelessly to foster relationships between various magical communities abroad. Alis is well traveled. She and the whole family occasionally accompany Dad on business trips when the destination is worthy, and he can balance work and quality time easily. He is gentle, but firm- a trait Alis mirrors along with his physical characteristics.
Alis's parents ensure their children's every comfort and hold great affection for each other. Having been married for more than seventeen years, Twyla and Jareth have forged a deep connection, establishing a solid foundation of close-knit familial bonds. Alis dedicates most of her time to reading and seizing every opportunity for exploration and travel. She has recently developed a keen interest in muggle fashions as she discovers her own style preferences. She cherishes moments spent with her family above all else.
Metamorph Edit
ReducioAlis's homeschooling journey was a magical and nurturing experience. From a young age, her Metamorphmagus gifts manifested in delightful and sometimes unexpected ways, becoming an integral part of her daily life. Her homeschooling began under the gentle guidance of her mother, Twyla. Recognizing the uniqueness of Alis's abilities, Twyla consulted with their Luminaflore relatives to craft a tailored curriculum that embraced mostly traditional and sometimes magical subjects. Early lessons were often infused with playful enchantments, where Alis's changing hair and eye colors became an interactive element of learning.
Her mother, a skilled tailor, wove magic into their lessons, transforming mundane topics into captivating experiences as best she could. The sunroom, generally reserved for 'Brush & Butterbeer' events, became a homeschooling haven, adorned with educational charms and enchanting illustrations. As Alis delved into her studies, her Metamorphmagus abilities blossomed. In moments of joy, her hair might shimmer in a myriad of colors and, while concentrating or lost in deep thought, her eyes could take on a silvery glow. These magical displays became not just a reflection of her emotions but a natural and enchanting part of the learning process. Twyla consistently encouraged Alis to embrace her gifts, using them as a tool for self-expression and creativity.
Family trips with Jareth, Alis's father, added a key layer to her education. Visiting magical communities all over the world, Alis absorbed the rich history of many wizarding cultures. Her ever-changing appearance often sparked curiosity and camaraderie among fellow magical families, creating deep connections with several friends abroad that she often writes to. Alis's homeschooling was not without challenges, however. Moments of frustration could manifest as unintentional changes in her appearance, but these instances became opportunities for the family (Nyx & Luminaflore) to discuss her emotions openly and help Alis channel her energy in a positive way.
Upon turning 11 and receiving her Hogwarts letter, Alis felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. While eager to explore the magical world beyond her home, she wondered how her unique gifts would be perceived among her magical peers. The close-knit homeschooling environment and welcoming community of Wellington had shielded her from judgments, and the prospect of entering a much larger social sphere for the first time brought both anticipation and eagerness. Still, with her Metamorph abilities as a steadfast companion, Alis happily leaves homeschooling behind, ready to embrace the mysteries and wonders that awaited her at Hogwarts and attend school with her older brothers. Her childhood education had not only nurtured her academic knowledge, but also ingrained in her a profound sense of self-acceptance and an extraordinary love for her family's history and the magical world.

[ooc] This is Alis's first real FIOM outside of any Metamorphmagus abilities she would have displayed by this point. I'll also likely edit at some point to include those gifts while experiencing strong emotion.

It was the end of an adventurous summer. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of blooms sighing their last fragrant breath, as my family gathered in the cozy backyard of our Wellington home. Gideon's birthday, marking the end of summer and (now) the start of term, was always a lively celebration. He would return to Hogwarts before long to begin his second year and I knew Finn, despite moping all last year and pretending not to, would miss our eldest brother as much as I did. He'd soon accompany Gideon to school, however, and I couldn't help but sulk at the prospect of being left completely behind. At only eight years old, I knew my wait would be significantly longer.
The sun had just dipped below the horizon, and I watched as the canvas of amber and rose hues faded into stars that glittered like diamonds in the twilight- an enchanting setting for the festivities. We always celebrated, just the five of us, before guests arrived, and the real party began. It was a tradition Dad had started to make every second of time at home with us a memorable event. Mum’s face was illuminated by the subtle glow of candles adorning the cake she cradled in her hands as she slowly walked toward us from the house, beaming with delight. We began to sing to Gideon at the cue.
A wide grin was plastered on my brother’s face as he sat at the center of attention, amidst a whirl of colored paper, and ripped open his presents eagerly. Nestled beside Mum, I sat cross-legged, savoring a slice of the decadent cake- black forest with raspberry drizzle. I understood why it was Gideon’s favorite as the medley of flavors danced on my tongue.
My eyes grew big as Gideon unveiled his gift from Dad. It was a small, crystal globe that brought to life wonderous images of sprawling landscapes and various magical creatures when touched. I sat up straight, captivated by the ever-changing scenes, and then… a strange feeling stirred within me, one I wasn’t sure I had experienced before. It was as if a small cloud of discontent settled right into my chest as Gideon enthusiastically showed off his impressive gift. Dad gave his shoulder a hearty clap and smiled, recounting how he had stumbled upon an extraordinary shop that offered an array of magical trinkets during his travels this past summer.
As I continued to watch, a touch of envy slipped into my heart. I wanted something extraordinary, like the mesmerizing globe, too… something that would capture everyone's attention. The feeling intensified as I stared, an odd, prickling sensation that I couldn't shake.
As if responding to my inner turmoil, the globe began to levitate off Gideon's hand. Gasps rung out as it hovered mid-air; its swirling images even more hypnotic as it rotated. I blinked as my mind slowly acknowledged what was happening. My heart thrummed in my ears as I shared in my family’s astonishment.
With a look of bewilderment, Gideon reached for the globe, but it evaded his grasp, floating just out of reach. My family exchanged puzzled glances before Mum, noticing my wide-eyed amazement, turned to me and gently asked, "Darling, did you do this?”. Amusement sparkled in her deep hazel eyes.
“I… I think so,” I murmured with a small nod, my cheeks flushing from a blend of embarrassment and wonder as my small hands twisted the hem of my shirt. The jealousy that had seeped in moments earlier had been replaced by a sense of awe. The globe gently descended back into Gideon's hand as that thorny emotion, I realized, subsided entirely.
Silence lasted for a fraction of a heartbeat before Finn, who had been gawking, mouth still partially stuffed with cake, chuckled, and declared, “I think it’s safe to assume what Alis wants for her birthday!” Laughter ensued as Mum gave me a peck on the brow and pulled me under her arm with a loving squeeze. A knock echoed at the door, signaling the arrival of guests. I smiled broadly as Mum winked and said, “We’ll celebrate you later,” before setting off toward the house.

Hello there,
POVs are not permitted when applying for any Special Talents or Races. Instead, you must explain how "Metamorphmagus," in your instance, fits your character and how they acquired the talent.
Other concerns regarding the application;
- Your character will have to go through homeschooling because the wizarding community does not have primary schools.

Aislinn was born in Omagh in Ulster. Though her family usually told everyone they were actually from the Irish city, they actually lived in the countryside as a farming family. As a result, Aislinn grew up surrounded by animals, mostly cows, and crops, such as corn and oats, and, while she helped her dad with the farm work during every school holiday, she had no passion for the craft.
Living on the farm was lonely. Aislinn had no proper friends outside of her family. Most of the people she knew were online friends or school friends, and they didn't usually visit her because of the distance between wherever they lived and her middle-of-nowhere house. Aislinn wasn't completely alone, though. When she was three years old, her parents gave her a little sister, Rory, and the sisters were inseparably close ever since.
Aislinn found that as she got older, most of her time was spent daydreaming of her future. Would she be a teacher? An astronaut? An engineer? It didn't matter to her, as long as she wasn't a farmer, and the choice wound up being taken from her anyway when she learned that her future didn't involve choosing a path as a normal person, but as a witch.
When her mother had learned that her eldest daughter was actually capable of magic, it was as if a dam broke within the older woman's mind. Aislinn soon found herself on the receiving end of a great many stories of her mother's own time at Hogwarts, as if the woman was eager to cram a lifetime of magical stories into a few short years.
While Aislinn hardly felt more prepared for the day she would inevitably go to Hogwarts, she could say that she did understand why she'd never felt as if she belonged on the farm.

Aislinn was seven, maybe eight, if her memory failed her, when she first showed signs that she wasn't... normal. Though she wasn't aware, her mother's family was special. Magical, even.
She'd been milking a very ornery cow for her dad. Usually, they raised their own cows, so the fact that they'd bought this one instead of raising it from birth was strange in its own right, but even so, this cow was angrier and more aggressive than any cow Aislinn had ever seen.
She hadn't received the first drop of milk before the cow was lightly stomping a hoof on the ground and mooing loudly. She wasn't a fool, despite her age, so she didn't need to hear her dad's warning from the barn to know that she needed to run.
So she ran, as fast as her little legs could carry her, toward her dad's voice in the barn. The cow gave chase, and Aislinn, who hadn't quite thought her plan through, found herself cornered at the back of the barn as the cow was running for her. She closed her eyes, wanting nothing more than to be safely away from the cow.
She was safe from the cow, at least, but she hadn't asked to be sent to the barn's rafters. The next hour had been spent with her dad climbing a ladder and doing everything he could to coax the young girl down.

Felinya is a girl of medium height for her age, she has blonde, wavy and very long hair, blue eyes, but of a light blue, almost ''glacial''. She has clear and smooth skin, as she always takes great care of it.
She is a sensitive girl, emotional but radiant and cheerful, altruistic and always available to help others. If there is something wrong she always talks about it with a trusted parent or with her sincere friends.
Felinya, however, just can't stand people who are selfish, jealous, envious or who always think they are superior to those around them, which is why she never spends any of her time with people of this type.
BUT HOW DID FELINYA LIVE BEFORE ARRIVING TO HOGWARTS?
Felinya was born in Dublin to a wealthy family, made up of a witch mother and a Muggle father, who were very close and affectionate to each other and to their daughter, namely Felinya. In addition to the three of them, the girl's family also consisted of Felinya's older brother, named Martin, and their black cat named Blackie, as well as a dog called Goldie, who Felinya loved dearly.
Until the age of ten, Felinya was sent to study in the city's Muggle schools; she was very good in those schools, but her classmates didn't feel the same way about her, on the contrary, they despised her for this very reason and, therefore, she Felinya didn't have many friends in those Muggle schools. Apart from her, in addition to her family, a girl named Karla, who was also excluded from the activities organized by her companions. Soon, as time passed, Felinya and Karla became very good friends, sincere and well-mannered.

Sometimes she needs to be helped because, if there are too many things put together that she doesn't understand, she might have an anxiety attack and panic, so, sometimes, it might be necessary to adapt to her times, even if sometimes Felinya fears being boring.
Felinya will be delighted and delighted to play Quidditch with someone. For the first few times she may be a little fearful but, with time, she will get used to it.
Felinya is quite good at flying, she wouldn't mind so much if she were to lose in some game.
When Felinya is at her home or at Hogwarts of course, she has got some funny hobbies, and she loves to do them.
So, Felinya's hobbies are as follows:
1)Reading; Felinya reads a lot of horror books!

Once when Felinya was walking outside with her parent. At that time she was seven years old. Suddenly, a boy much older than her began teasing her about her clothes, which he thought were 'of little or no taste'. Evidently, she was having a lot of fun saying these things.
Suddenly, a not too large branch, which had just been firmly attached to the tree above the boy's head, broke away from the plant and fell on the boy's head, before anyone could say or do anything.
While the boy tried to clear away the leaves, Felinya and her family managed to leave.
