Hadashi had always been a perfectionist. Ever since he started at Mahoutokoro, he strived for perfection in everything he did. And whenever something d=didn't turn out perfect, a potion, or a spell, perhaps, he would always study what went wrong so that it NEVER did again.

One summer, his parents bought him a muggle video game, knowing how much me enjoyed puzzle games. One by the name of the Ace Attorney HD Trilogy. A game series in which you are a defense attorney, and have to find contradictions in people's testimonies to get them off the hook for murders they didn't commit.
While Hadashi enjoyed Phoenix Wright (his character) himself, he found himself far more drawn to the antagonists, namely Miles Edgeworth and Manfred von Karma. Perfectionists in every way. Though it should be noted that while he admired Von Karma's desire for absolute, utter perfection, and his record of 40 years without losing a single case, he did not approve of his cheating (and straight up illegal) methods. But his perfectionism, which bordered on a psychological NEED for it, was something Hadashi admired. This series pushed him to acquire even more control over his spells, and achieve a level of perfection he had originally thought unobtainable. Thankfully, what this series had NOT done, was instill a desire in him to be a lawyer. Hadashi had no intention whatsoever to do that. Being stuck in a courtroom with a bunch of stuffy wizards and arguing for hours over evidence did not appeal to him at all. If it DID, he would of course be a prosecutor; Defense lawyers tended to fare very poorly in Japan's muggle world, and the wizarding side of it wasn't much different. Still though, he figured he would make a pretty good prosecutor if he were interested in doing it.

Soon, no one would be able to stand in the way of the Mahoutokoro Dueling Club. He had noticed that Shimizu-kun had also become more skilled. Perfect. When eventually he would graduate, he was confident in the dueling team with Shimizu-kun there. In fact, he may just elect Shimizu-kun as leader when he graduated... He would be leaving it in capable hands, for sure.

But, for the moment, they were in the most capable hands outside of a teacher. Himself. One who would stop at nothing to become the best. And ensure that their dueling team would be the best.

Advanced Casting
Reducio
Hadashi was a studying fanatic. There was no question about it. As captain of the Dueling Team, he had to set an example. Which is why he always made sure his spells and technique were pristine. When he discovered that even the slightest change in wand position affected the quality of the spell cast, he spent hours upon hours experimenting until he found the optimal positions for spell after spell. He was confident by the end, that there had been improvements. And his father had even paid for lessons from a top-ranked Japanese duelist. His form was incredible by the end, and he found even himself impressed. His spell casting had noticeably improved. What an example to set for his team! And better still, this would look fantastic later down the line...

Then however, He came across a different book. One that stated that the technique and wand placement weren't everything. That your intent, belief, and conviction in your magic was important. To FEEL it flowing.
What a load of nonsense. The only thing that mattered was technique and poise, everyone knows that. But, Hadashi was never one to leave a stone unturned. So, he decided to try this.

And, to his shock, it DID make a difference.

He had no explanation for how, except for some contrived anime drivel about how believing in yourself is your strength. What, was the power of friendship going to strengthen his spells next? He made a silent oath that if he found out that, of all things, if the power of friendship actually DID make his spells, he would....do something. Hell, if that theory held water, he would go so far as to seek advice from Narumi-kun and Shamsi-kun. They knew all about that emotional 'power of friendship' touchy feely nonsense. Or at least, he was pretty sure they did. But thinking about that would have to wait until later. He was far too flustered at the nonsensical idea that "feeling" and "believing" made your magic more potent.

Hadashi was a logical person. To a fault. All this touchy-feely emotional rhetoric bollocks was not something he was good at. But, practice he did, until he got a feel for how it worked. Turns out, everything can be analyzed and implemented logically, to an extent. He trusted in his own talent, and his own magic to work. It was a start. Not as good a start as he wanted, but a start nonetheless.
He was sure this would be a source of both training, and increased power in coming duels.

Your trunk needs the extra stat points linked, so please add them to your application. According to your PC trunk, you should only have 8 extra points, but this application suggests 9. This is another reason we need the extra stat point proof links.

Both of your ability applications are under the 400 word minimum requirement. Please review them and add a wordcount when they are ready.

I am going to be very polite saying this. I am not going to go to your Dan account or any future account to find the sport wins, count them up, and copy-paste them to your iNPC trunk. This is your responsibility to do so. Please be considerate of my time. I am doing it this time but I will not be doing this moving forward. I will not be approving future applications without the links in them.

They say that cheaters never prosper. But then, they also say -- बंदर क्या जाने अदरक का स्वाद, (what would a monkey know about the taste of ginger?)
Shamsi had long ago decided long ago that he would not to bother with what they say -- they tended to say stupid, conflicting things more often than not anyway -- and just do as he pleased, and deal with the consequences as and when they came.
And what he wanted to do most, in sport at least, was everything. He loved the thrill of it, the adventure and the adrenaline, the effort and the jubilance of victory. But Shamsi had long ago found that for the team, one role stood head and shoulders above the others in importance: the Seeker was the heart of Quidditch, and the most important plays happened there; so he worked to set himself up for the role. It was challenging, but ultimately unrewarding. Seeking felt so... removed. Like the Seekers were playing their own game, separate from the rest of the team, and over time his enthusiasm for the adrenaline-thumping broom sport began to wane. Seeking was pleasant, but games started to develop their own brand of routine monotone, and his enthusiasm for the game began to wane.

In his desperation to re-ignite his passion, Shamsi attempted Chasing and that is when he found it: the true joys of Quidditch. Yes, teamwork and being in the thick of plays were of course more entertaining than being a one-man game of hide-and-seek with the Snitch, but there was something else that caught his fancy -- "cheating".

Cheating does sound foul, but cheating was as traditional to broom sports as tea ceremonies were to the Japanese. After all, if cheating was really frowned upon, they would give cheaters the red card instead of mere penalty laps. And he could admit to himself that finding the right moments to make his ... "extra-legal" plays, in a way that neither the referee nor the opposition had any proof filled him with anticipation in a way that very few things could. He could Chase; playing for the ball and dominance in the air; but in a pinch he could also play the roll of a Beater or a Seeker -- ramming opponents off their brooms or pocketing the Snitch -- so long as he timed his plays exactly right. It was extremely challenging, but every time he managed to pull it off, it filled him with a sense of achievement.

They say cheaters never prosper. Shamsi says that's because they were never good at it the way he is.
Terrible Presence
[reducio] When his parents show off Sara’s baby photos, a viewer's usual reaction is to ask if he was adopted. Well, sure he had a rather intimidating look about him, with his short hair, piercing stare, and clothing style. But underneath that rough exterior, anyone who knew him personally could see what a gentle softie he was. If it was not a blank intimidating stare he was wearing, it was an awkward grin. Rarely had anyone seen him truly angry. His parents had to explain 99% of the time why Sara as a younger child looked like he was planning world domination.

In Japanese, Kohana could be translated to Little Flower. Sara was given his name to suit such a flowery-themed name. In kanji, his name directly translates to Blossom Little Flower. It was a lovely idea! With two flower-obsessed parents, they had dreamed of Sara growing up as they did. With unconditional love for flowers. Perhaps even passionate enough to take over their flower shop. Unfortunately, that dream and expectation of theirs would never come true.

It was not as bad as a baby and toddler. He and his parents lived in a cosy modest room above their flower shop. Despite living right above a pollen-infested danger room, his parents had gone through dedicated methods to completely separate their house from their flower shop. In that house, the theme was minimalistic. Thinking they had seen enough flowers in the shop, the house was devoid of such monstrosities. This is why it came as a surprise to them when Sara, who had been confined to the safe quarters of their home, had a massive sneezing allergy to pollen.

The Great Discovery was found out when he was 8. While Sara had gone in and out of the flower shop to either go outside or play with cats, he never had to stay in there for long hours. Even before the Great Discovery, Sara had always felt an awful feeling towards flowers. He had to suffer a few sneezes and whatnot whenever he passed those dreaded plants, but after a few breaths of fresh air, he felt better. For the longest time, he thought it was just the cold weather, which was fitting for him as he would sneeze when he was too cold as well.

That all changed when his parents wanted to teach him how to run the flower shop. Every Saturday, he was to sit in the flower shop and observe the work, needing to do simple tasks as well. His parents were surprised that their mostly behaved and gentle boy could make such a face all day.

Despite being a mere child, his angry stare was something that even sent adults shivering. Chilling enough for several customers to visit the other flower shop down the road. What's worse is that he wouldn’t say anything. He only keeps a napkin by hand to sneeze into and his stare cold and hard whenever it lands on the colorful flowers. The uncomfortably he felt puts him in an awful mood, but he was not a complainer, and therefore kept quiet. Which may have intensified his foul mood, making his customer service skills go down the drain.

Knowing his parents were so proud of him, he kept silent about his growing hatred for being a florist for weeks, attending every Saturday florist work he had. However, that had to change when he was now expected to stay awhile every two days. His pent-up frustration started to seep into his daily life, making him easily irritable, constantly snappy and frowning.

Everywhere since then, all he could see was those blasted- eye itching- puke-inducing- assortments of dangerous petals. He thought it was the bright colors that he had a weird deep hatred for, so he started to feel angry whenever he even sees a few colourful tones. That tree with its luscious bright green leaves? Burn it. That calming blue sky above him? Burn it. That poodle with pink dyed hair? Don’t burn it, but please don’t dye the poodle anymore.

His teachers and friends noticed his change of demeanour first. The aura around him changed drastically. While he was still very polite, it was easy to sense the anger that laced in his tone. Suddenly, his peers were aware of his tall height, sharp stare and rough voice. All that added with his deafening silence and angry tone, Sara’s friend list on Facebook started getting short really fast.

After a week of losing friends, losing sleep, and losing his mind, he went to his parents and told them the truth about his experience with working as a florist. Truthfully, the idea of Sara being slightly allergic to flowers didn’t even come to his parent's mind until after their visit to the doctor. While they now understood the situation better, and Sara’s florist days were over, there was no cure to his hatred.

In fact, knowing about his allergy made him even more furious. Now not only did things with color make him wear an ugly scowl, but every single flower sent him fuming. Plastic, drawing, shape, you name it- he hates it. His parents had tried to help him with it, but it was no use. He wanted total domination of flowers. Environment be damned, he’d burned them, said he, menacingly to his parents who asked what he wanted for his birthday.

In fear that Sara would pick up on pyromaniac tendencies, his parents opted for a change of environment for Sara. He was sent to his grandmother's house to live in. Sara was still constantly in a foul mood and often scared people by how silent and menacing he is. But living with his grandmother, he learned that in a household, there can only be one cranky hag and it could not be him. His grandmother was eccentric at best, and devil-looking at worst. Healthy, upbeat, and with a history in the military, Sara had another thing that contributed to his foul mood.

2 years into their cohabitation, while the kid and the elderly had their rough demeanors clash multiple times, Sara had noticed that pink poodles could exist. His grandmother never praised his constant foul mood, but she had done a wonderful job at taking his focus away from flowers and bright colors. Slowly but surely, his dreams of being an arsonist faded and he found his old self again.

Although he had reconnected with his gentle side and was no longer in a constant bad mood, it didn’t change his natural face. Inherited from his grandmother, he had a resting look that could kill. Perhaps it was the years he spent making an angry face, but he could not do anything to ease people whenever he was near them. As if traces of his dark past were still on his face, people tended to stay away from the tall boy, eager not to anger him. Although he was in a happy mood, there was no way to undo his stone-cold, mean-looking face.. [/reducio]

Lovely Creature
[reducio]With his presence, he makes people tremble. Their eyes watch him and their hearts beat faster than a normal rate. But it was when he turned 12 that people started to think that perhaps their heart was racing for a different reason..

Before, they couldn’t see his face properly. His hair was often unkempt and shaggy, as a poor attempt to cover his naturally angry eyebrows. But When his grandmother expressed that she wanted to save a little money for her ‘next hot date’, Sara went to the barber to give him a haircut, hoping to cut his hair enough so they no longer need to constantly buy shampoo for his previously long hair.

Unfortunately, the barber got a bit too much of his hair- pretty much leaving him with almost none left. Sara forgave him of course, as now they could save shampoo usage even more! Unexpected luck, how sweet. The grandmother didn’t share his happiness with his new look. “ It’s shiny!” Which was a compliment, Sara thought. Being shiny was quite a nice look, wasn’t it? He would find out later that he was not the only one who liked his new look.

Apart from being amazing caretakers to flowers, there was another reason why his parents' flower shop gained a lot of attention. They did not have a history of being a cranky child that was constantly thinking of world domination, unlike their only son. Therefore, no one had expected Sara to inherit their ability to attract onlookers. His past years, he still attracted onlookers, but for completely different reasons.

Which is why he didn’t feel any different than he did before. People were definitely still avoiding him if they could help it. They still jumped whenever his piercing stares met theirs and looked away the next second. The acceptance he learned to live with his intimidating aura had made him oblivious to the faint blushes his peers' cheeks had after looking away.

Yes, being near Sara felt like you were standing next to a person who could crush you and leave you to live your life as a crumpled ball. But if you sucked in the chilling aura and were brave enough to take a longer glance at his face, you could melt in a puddle right there. Several classmates had linked Sara to a Persian cat.

Angry looking, with their own special elegance that made it stand out. Look past his scary demeanor, and you would know he definitely took after his attractive parents.
[/reducio]

Fearless
[reducio] It’s hard to be scared of others when you are considered scary yourself. Despite his record of stumbling over his words and relatively shy nature, he is not one to run away in the face of danger. Yes, he’s a cry baby. But he’s also a brave crybaby. Tears are hella manly. And only the bravest souls would be able to admit their feelings and let it out. He had suspected that his grandmother only told him that so he would cry more at school than at home. But regardless, in his head it had always been: cry more = more brave. Such an inspirational quote. So much that there is a badly drawn poster of it plastered above his bedside.

In addition to this, apart from his rather mischievous grandmother, he had grown up with the most loving parents anyone could ever ask for. They had made him the gentle and kind boy he is today. And with that they had taught him a few things in life that were important in his everyday life.

First, you do not judge anyone by their covers. Like him, there would be plenty of people with angry eyebrows that may like cats as much as he does. Second, mean people are only mean because they have been hurt. So try to understand it from their point of view. To understand one is to befriend one.

Third, be kind to animals. Some may want to eat your flesh, but if you invite them for tea, perhaps you will have a jolly time. It was no wonder his grandmother never wanted to live with them.

Regardless, it would be hard to scare the boy who attempted to understand everything. Even the scariest creature would not be able to scare him since they might enjoy a tea party if Sara invited them.

In addition to this, from the age of 7-12, he had thought he was a descendant of ogres. A crude joke from his grandmother that ended up making him read any picture book he could find on ogres and other related mythical creatures. By a very young age, he had already exposed himself to different picture books containing the magical creature. With an urge to understand his ‘heritage’, he would find the not-so-kid-friendly picture books in the library and promptly apologize to the librarian after he was done. Sure, he cried at some of those photos and drawings. But the more he exposed himself to them, the less he cried. Eventually being used to the most gruesome or grotesque images and their history.
[/reducio]

Evasive Maneuvers
[reducio]Evasive may be the last ability you’d think of when seeing Sara. His burly build made it seem like he was the type to send a powerful punch but be slow on his attacks. It’s no lie that his punches could make people weep from pain, but it wouldn’t be smart to underestimate his agility.

As a young boy, he had a terrible past where his entire being was the human reincarnation of the 😒😤🙄emogis. The life of someone who was allergic to pollen while living in a flower shop with his 2 florist parents made it hard to be happy about anything. His days were spent grunting, snapping, and frowning at everything and everyone in sight. The nasty reputation he had in his small hometown wasn’t helping either.

Though the issue was resolved once he had moved in with his grandmother and returned to his old marshmallow self, the prior actions Sara had done will continue to haunt him to this day. While he was still somewhat self-conscious about it now, he was very insecure about it when he was younger. It took years to get used to how differently he was treated due to his intimidating appearance and the reputation his old self had left him.

He wasn’t bullied, but no fists needed to be swung to understand how he was not favoured among many. The whispers and sideways glances were too hard to ignore, even for Sara. No one dared to touch him of course, not with his evident strength. And knowing his grandmother was in the army? Fat chance of anyone messing with him, face to face. But that only made him more anxious. He made a promise to himself that even with his strength, he would always be on the defensive and avoid hurting anyone. It was never in his nature to use forceful ways to get what he wanted.

How serious he was about his promise would be tested as time passed. Some children become gutsier as they grow older. The gang of gangster wannabe kids would prove that by surrounding Sara after school with intention of teaching him who's ‘boss’. A term that confused Sara because he didn’t recall having any jobs at school that made him a boss of anything.

One by one kid would attempt a chance to land a hit on him. Sara, reminding himself that he didn’t want to hurt any of them, merely placed all his energy into avoiding them whenever they tried anything. Being on his guard for so long had prepared him to survive this unfair attack. Despite it being 1 vs 6, none of them seemed to be able to get close to Sara at all. Just as they were about to hurt him, Sara’s determination made him narrowly avoid their attacks. Thankfully, someone had called a teacher before it could get worse, but little did he know this would be a regular thing to him.

After that attack, it seemed like beating him in a fight was a sort of honor among gangster wannabes in his muggle school. And it would always end the same way, Sara running away without a single scratch, profusely apologizing as he ran away. It was evasion practice for him. A band of 4-7 kids tried to hit him and ultimately failed. At some point in time, people stopped ganging up on him. Although it had been years since anyone attempted to attack him, Sara’s evading skills never dulled.

It was clear that he was very serious about his promise of never hurting anyone and being on the defensive.

[/reducio]

Rebound
[reducio]Once upon a time, Quidditch was simple to the young boy. Just a brutal bloodbath people surprisingly enjoyed. But now, as a 5th year, he knew better. He knew that there were worse things to participate in. The Hexwizard’s 1st task for example. The lingering scent of iron, the pounding in his ears, the tears he shed was still a prominent memory to him. Memorable, and yet he was still unsure in what way. Good or bad? Maybe it was more accurate to describe it as somewhere in between.

Thankfully, the boy was quite fond of focusing more on the good when he could help himself. The same optimism had made Quidditch a topic that was far more complex. No longer would the time turn slow during practice, for it was slower during the hexwizard task. No longer would be rigid with worry, for he knew what would happen to his teammates if he was slow to react. In some odd way, the horrors of the tournament had made the game more tolerable for him. Before, he couldn’t wait to get out of it. Now though, the only main objective in his mind was to end the game. And fast. The faster it ended, the less his teammates needed to spend their precious hours healing in the hospital wing.

Stumbling onto this ‘rebound’ method was by complete chance and luck. While mindlessly reading up on past quidditch matches, there was a particular skill that caught his eye. One where a player evades a bludger and still has the reflex to squash it back to an unsuspecting target. The thought of it made his stomach hurl. And yet… that was an interesting way to end the game quickly.

It was like this skill was made to enhance his already known capabilities. Even for a big guy like him, he was delightfully agile on his feet as well as on his broom. His history of being quite athletic didn’t make the task harder, at least. With just the right tilt, a certain angle, a sharp eye, and a lot of mistakes in the beginning, he adapted to the new skill.

It was not a certainty that he would always be able to use this skill. While his strong feelings about Quidditch had mellowed down, his usual worries would always manage to crept into his mind. What if I hit too hard? What if I had to hit a friend? What if I’m just not cut out for this? But since the Hexwizard, a stir had changed within the young boy. The small, but growing desperation to end the game rests in him. During the chance that that desperation becomes louder than his worries, it would be the time his Rebound skill would come into play.
[/reducio]

Evasive Maneuvers II
[reducio]His journey of practising his evasion came a long way. At first, it was because he was against all sorts of violence. A desperate tactic to prove he was not the ‘gangster’ image people often think of him as. But seasons change, and motivations take a different turn. The Hexwizard tournament. Quidditch. The friends he made along the way. It all shaped him and his perspective. When he practised evasion, it was no longer just to prove things to other people. Now, it was to keep his teammates safe in the skies during quidditch.

He never thought himself to like the sport. He still pretty much hated every second of it. But his teammates relied on each other for a win, including him. It was the reason why he learned how to rebound a bludger. And now, it would be why he asked his grandmother to tutor him in the finesse of evasion. Like seriously train him.

The woman was old, grey-haired with a small round back and a deep snarl on her face. But she was experienced in fitness, strength and agility from her time in the army. During every holiday and several summers, Sara revisited childhood nostalgia with his grandmother through rigorous sports training. As if he was training for athletic tryouts. It was pure torture. Evading tennis balls from an automatic machine was not fun.

And when he felt confident with evading tennis balls, his next challenge was to face off against his grandmother's old friends. Their skills are sharp despite their age. The tinge of slowness of their aged muscles provided a slight advantage for Sara. All he needed was to dodge their attacks. And yet even that took months to even achieve. He had it coming when he underestimated their skill.

With each failure over the months, Sara found himself in a headspace to reflect on his motivations. And in the end, it always led him to the same conclusion. His friends. In a game where his core insecurities became a strength. What he felt was his inherent weakness becoming an asset. The evasive skill that used to be used only for himself, is now a commonly used strategy to protect his teammates.

Before he knew it, motivation was easier to find whenever he started his evasive training. Before dawn even breaks, he would wear a jacket and turn on the automatic tennis ball machine. Pumped himself up, and prepared for an hour or two of dodging. After months of training, whether it was evading launching tennis balls, or skilful combat arts from an ex-member of the army, Sara’s instinct to force his body to react to incoming danger just came…easier.

He didn’t tell his teammates what he had been doing in his free time. But during practice and games, the more observant ones in his team could notice the improvement.

From an early age, Tone had always loved quidditch, it was one of the few things that could make him smile and give him some measure of true happiness. He tended to spend all his time perfecting his skills in the sport until there was no room for error. But even then, he didn't tend to stop practicing and honing his skills. After all, practice makes perfect, right? From the moment he was accepted into Mahoutokoro, he'd immediately checked out the quidditch pitch. Even on a school broom, Tone's skills on a broom couldn't be overlooked and soon he'd had the higher years and even the teachers take notice. It was only a matter of time before he was asked to be part of the quidditch team. Shortly after he'd been put on the roster of the second string, he'd continued to train and practice with every waking moment that he wasn't in class.

It was only a matter of time before he was promoted from the second string to the first string and became a starter for the school's team. But even after multiple victories, he didn't get complacent and continued to train, practice and hone his skills. Until one day, he lost because he couldn't avoid all the attacks that came at him and couldn't contribute to the team because his own attacks kept missing their mark. It hit him like a ton of bricks and he became determined to rectify these mistakes. Deciding to work on his accuracy first, since that was the most important, Tone ended up training on his own with bludgers and specific targets. Soon, he became aware that just doing it by himself wasn't going anywhere. He needed someone else.

So he ended up dragging one of his many friends into practicing with him, using them to help him improve his accuracy. Eventually, with all his hard work, Tone was able to increase his accuracy little by little. And then his second year started and he became way busier with classes, clubs and other events. But still, he managed to set aside a lot of time to train and hone his skills in quidditch. As time passed, he became even better than he'd been before but that much should have been obvious. If you had skill in something and poured in the time and effort to get better at it, eventually you would get better. It only stood to reason. Sure, during the process of getting better at his accuracy, Tone had gotten numerous bruises and broken bones. Maybe he'd even passed out too. But what mattered was that in the end, he was able to increase his accuracy and hopefully end up being of more use in an actual game. If devoting all this time and effort into improving a single stat worked in the next game, he'd focus on his evasion next time.

He'd gotten hit way too much in the last game he'd participated in before.

Evasive Maneuvers
[reducio]From an early age, Hiro had always been quite agile on his feet and possessed instincts that allowed him to evade things that were going to physically hurt him. Even though he might have been fearless around most people, he still had a sense of danger and possessed survival instincts. If it was just something like a flick on the forehead or a nudge, he'd allow it to happen. But if it seemed as if it would leave some lasting damage, or worse, Hiro's body would instinctively avoid, evade or dodge it. This was not intentional on his part, it was just something he considered to be a natural instinct of his. It also came in handy when he bothered people, trying to get them to become his friends. They might lash out or 'attack' him. Obviously, he'd try and avoid them. Most of the time he was successful due to his great reflexes.

Hiro's interest in flying had taken form back then too. He'd ended up finding out that he was actually pretty good at it when one of his friends had let him take their broom for a spin. Maybe because of these two things (his reflexes and being good at flying), he'd been drawn to quidditch in the first place. Sure, he'd never played for a professional league before, but that was to be expected as he'd been a child at the time. A young one at that, as it had been before he was considered to be a first year at Mahoutokoro. But the moment he'd stepped foot onto the quidditch pitch and risen up into the air, he'd known this was his destiny. During the tryout he'd been able to evade his opponents almost every time they came at him. Somehow, he seemed to always manage to dodge at just the right moment before something or someone came close to hitting him. Many marveled at this skill or luck of his, as it happened more often for him than it did for everyone else. He even managed to evade 9/10 of the practice bludgers that were hit towards him by his opponents. Apparently, it was something that was rarely able to be done by quidditch players when they first started out. But Hiro seemed to have no trouble doing so, which impressed the ones in charge.

After finding out that his evasion skills were actually better than most people, nothing really changed for him. Many might have tried to take advantage of this skill and use it for ulterior purposes. But Hiro continued to go about his daily life, trying to make friends everywhere he went and only used his evasion skills for simple purposes. Such as avoiding any 'attacks' sent his way and applying the skill in quidditch, whenever he could find enough people to play it with him. One thing was for sure though, Hiro was glad he had such skills because they definitely came in handy in both quidditch and going after people who seemed as if they didn't want to be friends or talk to anyone. But Hiro knew better. Most of the time he was able to convince people to become friends with him. It was just that sometimes it took longer for some people than with others. He'd never really lost any of his 'targets' before and never intended on doing so. If he had to increase his evasion skills to continue his success rate, that was what he would do.

[reducio]From an early age, Tone had always loved quidditch, it was one of the few things that could make him smile and give him some measure of true happiness. PENDING, Marcus Iwasaki, June 19

Your addition of +5 to accuracy (from graduation) breaks the stat cap of 15 for fourth years. You can add +4 to accuracy and would need to place the +1 somewhere else. Please recalculate your new stats accordingly. (The statistically relevant ability can break the caps, but graduation cannot.)

Chiaki had always known her parents were both the sportier type of people, and they had often encouraged a healthy yet competitive spirit within her, which had led to quickly find sports at Mahoutokoro that she loved. However, it wasn't until they separated and she had begun going back and forth between their homes that she would truly realise the extent of this.

Her father had always been a bit of a sports fiend, and he had always encouraged Chiaki to play a sport, often regaling her with tales of his time as a competitive tennis player during his high school years. Whilst, as a muggle, he didn't fully understand the concept of wizarding world sports like broom racing or quidditch, he understood that she was competing, and that was enough for him to insist on keeping her skills sharp.

Every other day on the weeks she would stay with her father, he would drag her out to the public tennis courts at 8am sharp and make her play tennis with him. They'd always start out with simple exercises to test her accuracy, like trying to hit a tennis ball at a target, before moving on to playing an actual game. As much as she'd always grumble about the early morning starts, especially during her school holidays, she grew to enjoy the matches and treasured the time before it was over. The first time she had to switch to her mother's, her dad had only one request of her - to ensure she kept up her training, and she promised to do her very best to uphold that ask.

At her mother's house, Chiaki wasn't exactly sure how she was going to be able to keep up her promise to her father, but her problem luckily found a fairly easy solution through her mother, who had, after the divorce, seemingly taken an interest in the sport of archery. Whilst her mother would visit the local archery range, she would use the time to sneak out to local tennis courts and set up her own drills to keep up her abilities that she had carefully honed. It wasn't long before Chiaki's mother caught wind of this, however, and thus decided to bring her along to the range to pass along her newfound love of archery. Initially, archery was not one her strong suits, however after a year of practise when staying with her mother, Chiaki found that she had only gotten better with her aim, and, even more helpfully, these accuracy skills were transferable to her tennis matches with her father and for her sport at school.

The past year, when not at Mahoutokoro, Chiaki only found her fondness for muggle sports growing and growing as she spent more time at the tennis courts and the archery range, honing these newfound skills she had developed. Whilst they were not perfect just yet, she was confident in her abilities, and knew that this would all prove worth it in the end.

Calming Presence:
[reducio]With such a turbulent home life, Chiaki always longed for a sense of calm in her life, away from the shouts and yells of her seemingly always infuriated parents. Upon arriving at Mahoutokoro, she took it upon herself to never make anyone feel the way she did at home. Ever since she stepped foot in the school, knowing that she wouldn't be hearing her parents shouting and yelling, she felt instantly at ease.
When Chiaki started to make friends at Mahoutokoro, she portrayed a happy and bubbly, yet somewhat soothing or calming exterior so her brain would not stray to her parents' fighting. Each of Chiaki's friends reported that they instantly felt calmer when they were around her. Any anger or built up pressure beneath the surface of them was relieved when they would even be simply near her. This attracted many new friends to her. As she quickly befriended two Quidditch players and followed them around like a puppy to their practices, she would be reported to put the team at ease, epecially before a big match.
However, playing Quidditch was never much of Chiaki's interest. There was too much chaos, too many things happening at once. Broom racing was much more her style. There was only one clear objective, and that was to win. Even if that required a little bending of the rules. But before a race, they would never be so nervous as all the fliers that came before her would warn her about. Many would always around her before a race, trying to absorb some of the calm energy she released unknowingly. As soon as she would fly ahead, however, the calm they felt instantly begin to disappear.
However, it was only truly noticeable when Mahoutokoro was the host of a spectularly large fight between several students. Chiaki wasn't aware of the violence occuring in the grounds, so she observed through a window what all the fuss and bother was about. Instead, she was horrified by the brutal punches and kicks that were being thrown. However, as soon as she appeared in person, the fighting died down. Rage could still be seen in the fighters' eyes, but they were no longer fighting. And Chiaki had managed to stop it.
Everybody knew then that Chiaki's presence was... special. Something about the chaos and turbulence from her past meant that she was able to bring the sense of calm that was much needed by many students, and even some of the teachers on occasion.[/reducio]
Cat's Grace:
[reducio]Chiaki's ability to be stealthy came even before she was born. Her mother wasn't even aware she was pregnant with Chiaki until the second trimester, when she started showing symptoms. And then, even after birth, Chiaki had an innate ability to sneak around. She would regularly manage to escape the house when her parents were arguing, and arrive at her grandparents' via bus (that she had managed to sneak aboard). If her parents began to shout when she was in the room, she was easily able to sneak out (though due to the loud yelling it wasn't the most difficult).
After her grandparents' tragic passing in a car accident, Chiaki found that she was no longer able to escape to theirs when things became loud and violent at home. As a result, every time her parents fought for three weeks, she would climb from her bedroom window and run around her small seaside town, looking for a place to hide. And she managed to get pretty far several times. She could easily slip ino buildings or sites that she didn't realise she couldn't be in, and then be gone just as quickly before anybody noticed. Some of her favourite hiding spots were tucked away in overgrown corners of old or run down buildings that she had no business being in, but was also never caught in. There had been one occassion that she thought that she needed to run, but when the guards appraoched, somehow she managed to get away undetected. That was the closest she'd been to serious trouble, but it didn't stop her from returning to that spot.
This habit of sneaking about was just something that she couldn't shake when she arrived at Mahoutokoro. If noticed, people would comment how she skulked around like a cat in the background of almost every situation. Howeverhen she wasn't actively being her bubbly and cheerful self, she very easily blended into the background. Maybe it was because she was surprisingly short, or just wasn't the most noticeable when she wasn't speaking. This allowed her to get away with several midnight scrapes, especially when she would have her private midnight flying sessions with Hiro and Ayako and try to beat her own time of the fastest lap around the school on a broom. There was something soothing about the cold night air, and something thrilling about barely escaping serious trouble, whether it be at school or at the chaos which ought to be known as home.[/reducio]
Evasive Maneuvers:
[reducio]As Chiaki's third year at Mahoutokoro quickly approached, she had already gotten more involved with the school and its activities. Firstly, she'd managed to make her mark on the school's broom racing team, pushing her way forwards and making sure to further her abilities, especially when it came to ducking, weaving and dodging around objects as she pushed to fly at faster and faster speeds. Furthermore, she'd been working on bettering herself and abilities after the Hexwizard Tournament, realising just how out of her depth she had been when she had competed. Facing all of those older students had been absolutely terrifying, and she didn't enjoy feeling so unprepared.
Naturally stealthy and gifted with a feline-like ability to dodge and duck, it only took motivation and dedication for Chiaki to be able to improve her skills. On New Year, she made a promise to herself that by the end of the year, she would have worked on improving her abilities, especially when it came to dodging things, and that included people.
She'd use different exercises, employing her friends' help, such as having them throw pillows at her and have her dodge them, or tennis balls if she was on her broom. But that could only do so much. It wouldn't be the same as ducking branches or weaving through trees. So she made a schedule for herself, and pushed herself to stick to it. Every day, working on the smaller exercises, and twice a week, she would do a lap around the track. The repetition would help her, at least for now, with familiarising herself and allowing her prepare dodges and move out of the way, increasing her times as she shot around the racecourse.
At home during the holidays, she would also continue to work on this newfound talent that she was leaning into and continuously working to perfect. Slipping in and out, moving around things, she would work these exercises into her everyday routine, especially when she was just doing her standard chores. It allowed her to feel more accomplished as she worked on the menial tasks whilst her parents were out of the house.
Finally, she decided to test herself, to see if she was any closer to achieving her goal. She had her friends set up a course she could run through, setting a time in her head she wanted to complete it in. It began on the ground, to test her abilities normally, and then she would complete another on her broom, to make sure the abilities were evenly matched. Whilst her time wasn't as fast as she would've hoped, she had definitely improved, and her newly developed evasive skills were definitely something for her to be proud of. [/reducio]

The girl grew up with brothers you see. Whether it was to steal her food or things, she would always know. Kanae was always quite an observatory and her instincts were better than most people's. She can't always blame it on her brothers but she can somehow feel the hair on her arm stick up when she feels something strange.

It's not just that when somebody steals her food, she always notices when something was about to hit her, for example, that one time when her neighbour's baseball went through her house's window. She was sitting in the living room with the big window in front of her, she liked looking through it and observing the trees and giving little glances to the corner where she could see her neighbour's yard. Not like she knew that there was a ball about to break through it, Kanae just felt the need to get out of the way, her gut feeling told her so.

Kanae also had quick reflexes, which contributed to her killer instincts. Not like you could get out of the way of something just because you noticed it, you had to be quick too.

One time, she was cycling around her hometown like she usually did in the mornings. The cycling session started out normal. The summer breeze was hitting her face, a few of the people in her neighborhood waved at her, and it was peaceful. Until another cycler from the other direction was about to collide with her! She noticed it in time and stopped. It was honestly a miracle, the other person was about 2 meters away from her when she stopped. If Kanae hadn't stopped first, she would've hit someone. The other person wasn't paying attention apparently and hadn't stopped until Kanae scolded them as they were approaching the girl who already stopped. She was also pretty flexible, so she could move her body in ways she can evade things a bit more quicker and sometimes in unexpected ways.

Another instance was when Kanae was watching her muggle mother mend her car. Since she still had a muggle job and had to get around somehow. When her mother was getting something from a shelf on top of her from the garage, a toolbox fell. The girl was looking up at her mother getting something she needed from said toolbox but as she was getting something from inside of it, it slipped off the shelf. Kanae swiftly moved out of the way as the toolbox fell to the floor. Afterwards, she helped her mother pick up the tools that fell with it.

Her quick reflexes and instincts were one of the reasons she joined the broom racing team until she switched to the Quidditch team because the broom racing team was rather empty and she wanted to play more as a team.

Her mother and father, Kyoko Suzuki (nee Sato), and Shota Suzuki. Shota Suzuki is the uncle of Ara Villa and her siblings and the brother of Mitsuki Villa.

They live in Osaka, Japan in a manor given to them by their family members. They also have a wealthy background because of the Suzukis. Since Kanae is a Half-blood she gets both worlds. She often exchanges letters with her cousins about the muggle world too.

Her first instance of magic went like this: It was a nice Christmas morning, Kanae was 5 or so. Her dad's side of the family was over at their manor to celebrate. Kanae and her cousins were opening gifts. "Hahaha! I can open these presents faster than you!" her cousin named Edmund said to his sister that was Kanae's age. "Nope I have already opened 3 while you're on your 2nd one," his sister named Ara said. Kanae chuckled at her cousins bicker a bit. Everyone was having a good time until Kazumi pushed over the Christmas tree! The tree was about to fall on Kanae until it just stopped and was put back in its original position. The entire family was happier than ever!

Quidditch was always a big part of Botan's life. As a young boy he was quickly introduced to the sport by his father and uncle. When he was young, he was often encouraged to try out all of the positions, but because of his strong competitive side, he was drawn towards being a chaser. Botan’s cousin, who was like a brother to him, often played with him, the boys always rotated who played what position, but being a chaser was always what Botan wanted.

Initially, when he made it to school at Mahoutokoro, of course he tried out for the Quidditch team. He barely made it, and so did his cousin, who ended up as their second string seeker, sitting on the bench. Botan was placed as one of the chasers on the team which brought him loads of joy. Every chance he got, Botan would rub it in, always striving to be the best and better than his cousin.

Even though Botan was extremely competitive while playing Quidditch, he did have one fear. Falling. Any time anyone even got close to the edge of their broom or lost their balance, Botan would swoop in and drop the quaffle to make sure they did not fall off of their broom. This made Botan the team’s savior. This position seemed out of character for those who knew him, but began to make more and more sense to Botan, as he watched his teammates getting injured in the dangerous sport of Quidditch.

Being a chaser-savior meant a lot for him and fit his style of play. Botan moved fast and was on the skinny side, able to swoop around and dive well. This allowed him to make it and successfully save some of his teammates from various attacks and falls. Botan usually paid attention, watching what was happening, keeping his eyes wide open for blunger attacks, quaffle passes and occasionally the snitch. Botan was also decent at avoiding hits and shoves, which also helped him be a good savior and overall better Quidditch player.

During his second year, Botan began extensive training for this position, taking up hours of study time each day to instead practice Quidditch. He practiced all of the skills including turns, sharp turns, dives, and flying with others on the broom before he was ready to use his new skills in the game. He watched many games, paying attention to all of them, and pretending like he was in some of the situations that players faced, and watched other saviors diving to help others. After loads of practice and work, Botan was finally ready to be Mahoutokoro’s savior. (WC: 454)

[reducio]When Botan was five years old, he and his cousin Akihiko were outside, playing in the mud and his grandparents were watching him. Akihiko was trying to make the perfect pie, and Botan had challenged him to do so. Botan used mud and worms, lining the bottom with mud, adding a layer of worms, which he had found. Then he added a big scoop of mud on top, and called it finished. A few minutes later, Akihiko finished making his pie, which was an amazing pie that almost looked like a professional chef had made it. If pie’s were made of mud.

Botan asked his grandparents which one they liked, and they looked at eachother and told him that “they are both beautiful!” Botan was hesitant, but when Akihiko announced that he liked Bo’s better, a big grin spread across Botan’s face. Botan had beaten Akihiko! Just then, his grandparents turned and announced that he had won. Victory! Botan was amazed. He had won!

Bo watched his cousin wink at his grandparents. That was it.

“Hey!” He shouted. “That’s not fair!” He complained. “You said you liked both of ours! I’m not scared!” He yelled. “I don’t care if you like Akihiko’s better, but at least say it!”

Botan continued to be brave throughout the time he was home. Working hard to complete pranks that other children would have backed out on, like sneaking into the kitchen and making breakfast for Akihiko, but injecting the fruit with food coloring.

When the two boys would go out, Akihiko would always be the one everyone talked to. Botan made a group of friends, but they were all muggle. The group often found Akihiko tagging along, as he had nothing else to do. The group always pranked neighboring kids, and made mischief.

One day when Botan was seven years old, he had a new idea for a prank. All he had to do was get one of his friends to buy a flower pot that matched his neighbors and plant different seeds in them. The pot was bought, and seeds were as well. They grew the seeds for a while, and when it was time to do the swap, Botan volunteered. No one else wanted to get caught. He wasn’t even afraid. Botan brought the seeds and the pot, and went up to the house and swapped the two pots. He even had the guts to sprinkle some of their leftover seeds on the flowerbed, and slip away unseen.

Botan was their fearless leader after all. It was his job.

Y2: Foulplay
[reducio] Botan is an interesting boy. As a young child he was always pressured by his parents. They wanted him to be better than his charming cousin Akihiko. Akihiko always won over others. He was smarter, and in some situations, just better than Botan. What ever Botan did to one up Aki, just never worked. Until his father sat him down.

“Botan. You need to do better. Why is Akihiko always beating you at… everything?”

“I-” Botan stammered. What he meant to sat was something along the lines of I’m doing my best, but Akihiko is just better. Or maybe I’ll do better. But no. Botan just sat there, stuttering at his father.

“Its because you don’t study. Don’t practice. Don’t put in any effort.” His father continued. “Come on son, do better.” his father added.

At this moment, Botan’s heart was completely crushed. Shattered into a million pieces like a piece of hard candy that has been stomped on. But two of his fathers words were stuck in his head. Do better. Do better. Botan was trying. He was practicing. But it just wasn’t enough for his demanding family. From that day on, Botan knew he needed to find another way, even if it wasn’t right. His new way was cheating. Finding loopholes. Sneaking around.

And for some horrible reason it actually sort of worked for him. About 25% of the time Botan would get away with it. And it pleased his dark and cold heart. Very few had peeled back the layers and reached the warm core that disagreed with his choices. If they saw him now, they would ask him why he was doing it. But Botan was getting away with it, so he continued.

One day when Botan and Akihiko were home, the decided to play a round of a basic version of quidditch, with one hoop, and only the quaffle. They agreed on first to 100 would win, and the loser would have to give the winner a stack of chocolate frogs. Their grandparents were sitting outside, supervising the boys and making sure no one got hurt, and that it was an honest game.

About halfway through, Botan was losing pretty hard to Akihiko, and Botan was determined to win. Not for the chocolate frogs, but mainly for the bragging rights. He just wanted to win one thing against Aki. During a round of play, Botan grabbed the quaffle and bumped Aki into their makeshift quidditch hoop. Aki yelped in pain and flew over to his grandmother. When his grandparents were inspecting Akihiko, Botan snuck over to the score board and took a huge risk but taking 20 points off of Aki’s scoreboard. It was a huge risk on his part, but his mother had told him, high risk, high reward.

For something that the rest of the world frowned apon, Botan did not find it that terrible. Actually it was pretty useful. It brought victory, and Botan liked to win.[/reducio]

Despite his ability to effortlessly praise, compliment, and flatter others, whether their talents, academics, accomplishments, or looks, Ginyami is rarely ever inspired or moved by others in any capacity. Having been born and raised as a Japanese pureblood, he had grown up around others that had been more or less bred to be 'perfect'. In a society and culture where appearance was of the utmost importance, impeccable looks were practically an expectation and thus not of real note among anyone unless someone was lacking.

It isn't that Ginyami is unable to appreciate aesthetic beauty. However, he recognizes that aesthetic beauty is highly subjective and thus a person's or thing's beauty can potentially mean nothing at all to one person while it might mean everything to another. It is this knowledge that makes him particularly immune to magic-induced allure based on aesthetics such as those of Veela.

Since the summer of 2023, Ginyami began to find his intense crush on Durmstrang student, Valentin Schnell, to be waning. This was due to the fact that, toward the end of the 2023 school year, though he and Valentin had grown quite close in a short amount of time, Ginyami began to sense that Valentin still harbored affections for Romeo Marchonné - someone who he'd had feelings for, much less known, a lot longer than he'd known Ginyami. Unwilling to play the part of second fiddle, Ginyami at first attempted to prove he was more suited to stay by Valentin's side than Romeo, but upon coming to the conclusion through several pieces of slowly-accumulated evidence that Romeo harbored feelings for Valentin strong enough to rival Valentin's own for him, the Mahoutokoro student decided to gracefully bow out of what he had started to see as a competition for Valentin's ultimate affections.

This was for a couple of different reasons. Despite his strong ambitions and dedication to winning, Ginyami discovered that, when it came to love and romantic relationships, he did not want to risk becoming a second choice. The fact that it was possible he could have been a second choice at all rather than being undoubtably the first and only choice was enough to dissuade him from wanting to compete. It was not a game he wanted to play because he didn't like to think of love or romance as a game to win; a perspective and an opinion he might have formed due to Valentin's influence.

Furthermore, he was not in the practice of partaking in competitions he did not see himself being able to win unless he was willing to cheat, but perhaps due to Valentin's good-natured influence on him, the Japanese student could not bring himself to try to sabotage Valentin's or even Romeo's chance for happiness. Even if he had been willing to entertain the competition as being a competition, cheating was out of the question. And if he didn't believe he had a chance of winning without cheating, he wasn't going to continue trying.

As crushed and disappointed as Ginyami was at first, as a Japanese pureblood student, he had a great deal to distract himself with over the course of his fifth year and threw himself into his studies and extra-curricular activities, also managing to finally re-join his school's Quidditch team. This was especially significant to him because one of the main pillars Valentin seemed to center his life around was Quidditch. Thus, to train for the sport to try to excel in it was rather therapeutic for him because, though he knew his team was younger and therefore not likely to ever defeat the much more experienced Durmstrang Quidditch team, it motivated him to think that one day he might have been able to prove himself to Valentin and even Romeo in a sense. He began to see them more as rivals, but he still feels conflicted about considering them friends due to his difficulty dealing with what he perceives as people wronging him. Especially because he hasn't really talked with Romeo or Valentino since the summer of 2023 about a year ago now.

The above is relevant because although Ginyami had initially believed Valentin to be one of the most beautiful individuals he had ever had the privilege of getting to know in several senses of the term, as his feelings toward him waned, so too did his idea of his beauty, despite the fact that Valentin did not alter his physical appearance. Though he recognized that both Valentin and Romeo to be considered extremely attractive by most conventional standards of society, even that of the pureblood wizarding community, Ginyami slowly began to discover that his concept of Valentin's beauty was much less based on his physical appearance than he'd initially thought. For this reason, he also developed this Impartial ability; because he came to recognize how little physical appearances actually mean to him.

Moreover, as Ginyami came to know him, Ginyami got the strong impression that Valentin was intensely moved by and passionate about aesthetics. He could appreciate Valentin's appreciation and believed himself to share that appreciation to a certain extent, such as when they discussed the more intricate ensembles of Valentine's clothes. However, when Ginyami came to meet Romeo Marchonné and recognize that, by society's standards, he was considered very aesthetically attractive, especially by Valentin, his more petty and jealous side began to unconsciously consider Valentin to be shallow for perceiving Romeo in such a manner. His more reasonable, mature mind knew, of course, that Valentin admired, loved, and respected Romeo for more than just his appearances, but due to that immature bit of him that chose to ignore that fact, he himself decided that finding appearances attractive was a sign of a shallow, easily-impressed person. For that reason, too, he has come to try to consciously make an effort to separate his concept of what he considers aesthetically beautiful from the he considers attractive, embodying the ability 'Impartial.'

Abilities:
Charmer:
[reducio]This young man is very good at being distracting. Whether with his looks, his charm, or his wit, he has a way to get another’s attention and keep it if he desires. Due to Ginyami’s keen sense of observation and determining people’s personalities as well as their likes and dislikes, he does his best to kiss up to them and keep them entertained. He has learned this from a very young age due to being used to manipulating others in the most subtle of ways to get what he wants, particularly using flattery and praise. A compliment here, a honeyed word there, and soon he has someone in the palm of his hand.

He is outwardly very friendly and outgoing, charming people by playing to what they want most to hear and what they want of him in general. Catering to people is a specialty of his, being a natural people-pleaser, and he tends to be loved for it. Whether it’s his extensive knowledge of peoples’ birthdays, personal tastes, or passions, he uses it all to his advantage. His cheerful outward demeanor often keeps others from guessing at his ulterior motives and whether or not he’s sincere with his words and actions. Making himself easy to get along with really does wonders for his networking and he whole-heartedly believes in the saying ‘flattery will get you anywhere’.

Regardless of whether he looks down on others in reality or not, this Japanese boy is very good at hiding his true feelings and personality, molding himself into what he needs to be for whatever the situation requires. If someone needs cheering up, he’s right there to give them a boost with a wink and a smile. If someone needs a serious friend to listen to them and give advice, he will take advantage of the contrast between his usually frivolous-seeming self and his calmer state of being to convince people of a seemingly genuine desire to help them out.

Depending on people’s preferences, Ginyami is careful to spend time with them either one-on-one or in groups to get closer to them, particularly those who he feels will be potentially useful to him in the future in one way or another. He keeps in mind their preferences as introverts and extroverts in how he treats them and what environment they would most be comfortable in. During this time spent with them, he can demonstrate his knowledge about them as a person, making them feel seen and understood by him. In this way, he makes friends easily and even befriends friends of friends in order to expand his network of known people and connections.[/reducio]
Fearless:
[reducio]Ginyami has never really been daunted by much. He’s just never really had reason to experience true fear during the course of his privileged life. He'd never needed to fear his parents' wrath because said parents hadn't threatened or punished him much. This was because when he was younger, he found out very quickly that he was far more likely to get what he wanted if he was a good boy and did as he was told. Thus he behaved well – at least in front of others. As a result, there’s almost nothing he fears.

Since he has no real attachments to anyone or anything, he doesn’t fear loss or being alone. Pain, failure, and mistakes don't frighten him because he sees them as lessons to learn from and things that are easily remedied, especially with magic. People don’t scare him because he pities and looks down on most of them. Death has him more curious than afraid. The unknown to him is simply something to be discovered, not to be frightened of. He rarely even gets embarrassed, shameless as he is, and thus doesn't fear being humiliated. Wearing a nearly-constant smile on his face while acting frivolous and carefree also adds to his fearless image as he brushes off whatever obstacles he encounters in his day-to-day life such as jealous bullies and other antagonistic peers.

Of course, the youth knows there are those who are dangerous, but he doesn’t fear them because he believes everyone has a weakness if only one takes the time and trouble to find it. Believing himself to be one of the brightest students with magic on his side, the brazen boy finds little reason to fear even usually-terrifying beings such as dhampir and werewolves, instead looking down on them as half-breeds. He is also so confident and his ego so big that he has no trouble believing he can take on anything that might come his way - human, animal, or otherwise.

To Ginyami, fear is a weakness and a hindrance and is only useful when being used against someone else. It dulls one's sense of logic and keeps one from being able to think properly much like other emotions. The weak may use fear to sense those stronger than them and stay out of their way, but as Ginyami considers himself one of the strongest and most blessed wizards as a Japanese pureblood, he only sees reasons why others should fear him and not the other way around.[/reducio]
Foulplay:
[reducio]This ambitious young man will do whatever it takes to win, even using dirty tricks or foulplay. Since he's so used to getting what he wants, he simply sees cheating or committing fouls as a means to an end so long as he doesn't get caught. Having a two-faced personality already suggests his ability and willingness to deceive others and he will do so with no hesitation or remorse. Ginyami believes that in this world you have to make your own luck and fairness doesn't always win out so it's actually those who break the rules or who use trickery who end up triumphant in the end.

Competitive as he is, Ginyami will stop at nothing to give his team an advantage when playing games like pick-up games of Quidditch. One time some chasers of an opposing team tried to knock him out of the way so their teammate could score a point because Ginyami was the Keeper. He wouldn't stand for the stooging, however, and blagged his opponents by grabbing their brooms by the tails to keep them from their goals. As a Keeper, he has also been known to defend the hoops from behind rather than the front by pushing the Quaffle out in a foul called flacking. Another time, he even performed a snitchnip by catching the snitch and waiting until his team's Seeker was close enough before subtly passing it over while appearing to whisper in their ear.

As vindictive as he is, this student has also been known to purposefully collide with other opponents in order to try to knock them off their brooms (blatch), get in the way of the opponent Seeker (block), locking broomstick handles with an opponents' broomstick handle (blurt), and use his elbows excessively in order to hurt an opponent (cob). It's as if fouls don't exist in his mind and almost anything goes on the path to victory. If he has to take a penalty lap or two, he doesn't mind, but he has seen enough fouls take place and performed fouls often enough himself in the past to know how to increase his chances of getting away with them.

This is one guy who wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over resorting to under-handed tactics and tricks because he believes that the strongest and most successful are those who will use any means to achieve their ends. Since there are no rules to keep people from cheating in real life, why should he live by such rules during school where he should be preparing for real life? If the rest of the world isn't going to play fair, Ginymai doesn't plan to, either.[/reducio]
Evasive Maneuvers:
[reducio]Ginyami has always been quick to dodge things and people. Due to his deceitful personality, he has been known to upset and anger others before, causing them to want to retaliate, so he has always been careful to know how to escape their wrath. Things would be thrown and magic would be cast, but he would manage to evade it all. Even when he seems most carefree and calm, he is constantly aware of his surroundings and is ready to move at the slightest provocation in order to avoid getting snuck up on due to the many reasons people have to dislike and hate him.

In school, when he was picked on or bullied, he would avoid his enemy and dodge their physical and magical attacks rather than fight back. As he much prefers slow and subtle retaliation, he usually withdrew in order to make plans for his indirect future revenge instead of standing off there and then. Other children considered him a coward for this behavior, but this belief of theirs never bothered him, egotistic as he was and is. Shaking off obstacles in his life and carrying on as if nothing were wrong was how he preferred to respond to conflict when he couldn't avoid it.

As he got older, however, Ginyami got better and better at being nimble, whether it was to sneak up behind someone or to slip away out of another's grasp. This became especially useful in unofficial Quidditch games when he wanted to avoid being beaten down by Bludgers or knocked off his broom when Chasers tried stooging. Being lithe and difficult to hit along with knowing how to commit fouls with a lower chance of being caught makes Ginyami a rather tricky adversary as a Keeper.

Someone with habits like Ginyami and as relatively weak and delicate as he is has to learn how to dodge if they don't want to get hit. Aside from often committing fouls in unofficial Quidditch, he doesn't know how to pick his fights and will openly insult those who he looks down on if he sees no merit in warming up to them. It's not that he means to instigate violence or loathing, but he tends to inspire those anyway due to his supercilious nature when he shows his true colors. Thus being cautious and ready for an attack at any moment has saved his hide many times when people have decided they've had enough of his awful tendencies.[/reducio]
Evasive Maneuvers II:
[reducio]After a good deal of practice on his own and playing non-official games of quidditch and airball, Ginyami's evasion has gone up considerably. He has been through a lot over the past year that has given him reason for needing to increase his evasion including facing off against an unknown enemy wizard over winter break and finding himself under attack at the spring ball. In addition to encountering these dangers, Ginyami has wanted to get better at evading in order to increase his chances to get picked to be on his school's quidditch team come tryouts. He has worked a lot not only on his stamina and accuracy as a keeper, but also his evasion because it's important for any player on a quidditch team to be able to avoid bludgers during the game.

In order to practice outside of unofficial games, Ginyami has been releasing bludgers and arming himself with a beater bat on the quidditch pitch, but only using the bat when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, he simply spends his time avoiding the bludgers as best he can which is no easy feat when he's the only target both bludgers have on the entire quidditch pitch. This has often left him black and blue at the end of his solo practices, but it has also taught him a number of evasive maneuvers in order to keep from getting hit whenever he can.

The Mahoutokoro student also isn't a fan of getting into fights or being the victim of magical spells, so he has learned to evade both magical and physical attacks even more than before because of his tendency to make people angry and want to lash out at him when he shows his true colors. Thus, dodging has become nearly second nature to him both in and out of games, whether he's playing around or not.

Ginyami anticipates facing a lot more danger in the coming years due to staying by the side of the Durmstrang student, Valentin Schnell, who seems to be a magnet for danger and is known as a daredevil, as well as the fact that Ginyami is a part of the Mahoutokoro Hexwizard Team which is bound to face a lot more hardships and struggles in the tasks to come. For these reasons especially, the Japanese student has done his best to learn to keep out of danger's way in order to make things easier for Valentin and his Hexwizard teammates so they don't have to worry about him along with themselves.[/reducio]
Impartial:
[reducio]Despite his ability to effortlessly praise, compliment, and flatter others, whether their talents, academics, accomplishments, or looks, Ginyami is rarely ever inspired or moved by others in any capacity.

For that reason, too, he has come to try to consciously make an effort to separate his concept of what he considers aesthetically beautiful from the he considers attractive, embodying the ability 'Impartial.'[/reducio]

Evasive Maneuvers
[reducio]From an early age, Tone had always been quite agile on his feet and possessed instincts that allowed him to evade things that were going to physically hurt him. Even though he might have been fearless around most people, he still had a sense of danger and possessed survival instincts. If it was just something like a flick on the forehead or a nudge, he'd allow it to happen. But if it seemed as if it would leave some lasting damage, or worse, Tone's body would instinctively avoid, evade or dodge it. This was not intentional on his part, it was just something he considered to be a natural instinct of his. It also came in handy when he bothered people, trying to get them to become his friends. They might lash out or 'attack' him. Obviously, he'd try and avoid them. Most of the time he was successful due to his great reflexes.

Tone's interest in flying had taken form back then too. But Tone seemed to have no trouble doing so, which impressed the ones in charge.

After finding out that his evasion skills were actually better than most people, nothing really changed for him. Many might have tried to take advantage of this skill and use it for ulterior purposes. But Tone continued to go about his daily life, trying to make friends everywhere he went and only used his evasion skills for simple purposes. Such as avoiding any 'attacks' sent his way and applying the skill in quidditch, whenever he could find enough people to play it with him. One thing was for sure though, Tone was glad he had such skills because they definitely came in handy in both quidditch and going after people who seemed as if they didn't want to be friends or talk to anyone. But Tone knew better.
