Character Special Race/Talent: SeerReason for Talent:
ReducioAtreus’ family lines can be traced back for centuries. While never large, especially in the case of the Beddoes and Desjardins, the blood of the families was “consistent” & “reputable”. Or so Atreus’ grandmother states. For the three families this was a matter of pride for them, even more so for the Beddoes and Ims as they had seer blood. In fact most of the seers in each families more often than not were the family heads. Of course not all family heads were seers as they were rare, but it was a pattern.
In the case of the Beddoes they often arranged marriages in hopes of orchestrating the birth of a Seer. And while in modern times the most of the Beddoes largely dropped this “tradition”, Atreus’ grandfather was not one to do so. In fact he had arranged a marriage for Atreus’ mother to be wed to another rumored Seer. This marriage fell through of course once Agnes eloped with Ha-Joon. Though his status as someone who did belong to a respectable Pureblood family with seer blood was most likely the only reason he did not argue against this marriage as persistently.
The same could be said for the Ims, although they were less concerned with seers and far more obsessed with keeping “clean” blood. And so when Ha-Joon eloped with Agnes they shook their heads and let them be. After all the Desjardins Heiress was a girl with good blood, why would they refuse a love match? Though the grandmother did rage, she found solace in the fact that her grandchild could be a seer.
However in comparison to their families Atreus’ parents hoped she’d never be a Seer. In their eyes they thought the pressure and the expectations would be too much for the child. Fearful of what those high expectations could do to someone. They both grew up with strict parents with high expectations, how worse would it be with the abilities of a Seer added on top?
In fact Ha-Joon rather disliked Seers, he did not like knowing there were those who could peer into the future or have premonitions and predictions. Growing up in the family with some still living he often felt off put by Seers when they just knew or felt something would happen. He felt trapped by it, controlled. So he often avoid those family members.
Of course, disappointing her parents and making her grandparents proud, Atreus was a Seer. However this was not something that was prevalent early on. In fact most, if not all of the families thought the child was normal. In fact most of Atreus’ childhood was spent Seer-free until she was around 4 years old. And even then her parents did not understand the signs, to be fair they were small.
Just a new fear or perhaps she was judgmental of new people. All things that most child have or do. It wasn’t until she was 5 that they really saw the signs. Before Atreus and her mother moved away from France she had been slowly gaining a fear of water. Strange as Atreus had lived by the sea all her life. But when a storm flooded the family home after they moved out, Agnes recognized the signs and felt dread.
From then on out Atreus came off as a slightly off child, very inquisitive and intuitive. Maybe a bit quiet maybe a bit strange, but the signs had not been as intrusive as her parents feared. Although they dreaded what can happen once she grows up.
Character Backstory:
ReducioBefore Birth:
Ji-soo was born the only child to Agnes Desjardins and Ha-joon Im in Namwon-si, Korean. Her father Ha-joon was the only son to the Im family, a reputable pureblooded house. The family was strict and controlling, often dictating the choices of his life for him. This caused Ha-Joon to become rebellious and out spoken, not helped by the fact that he attended Hogwarts. This was due to his first instance of magic occurring in England when on vacation. There he met the Desjardins heiress, Agnes, whom dearly too did not wish to return home.
Agnes Desjardins was born to an English father, one Idris Beddoe a spare of the Beddoe Family and Elodie Desjardins the only child of the Desjardins Family. Both families, while small still, were known for their reputable blood. Although the Desjardins in recent years had been known for their oddities, for they had interests in muggle culture. Later they would be deemed blood traitors, disliked for how they scoffed at pure blood culture. In the end some members of the family even married muggles, causing quite the scandal.
So when Idris wished for their family’s reputation to rise back up he offered his daughter’s hand in marriage. Agnes was angered by this, so she went to her best friend at the time, Ha-Joon. Ha-Joon was also experiencing some problems with his family, for they had a marriage arranged for when he returned to Korea. So they devised a plan, they’d elope together, so that they may enjoy their own chosen partners without the families interfering. After all they had both married families of good blood hadn’t they?
So upon returning from their vacation loosely disguised as a honeymoon, they returned to Korea. The Im Matriarch was furious at her son’s actions and spouse, so she pressured the couple for a child. Hoping for a son she could influence to later “guide” the family in the “right direction". And so caving to the pressure the couple welcomed Ji-Soo into the world in May of 2014.
After Birth:
However, everything was not well. The Im matriarch was furious at the fact that they had borne a daughter and not a son. Agnes and Ha-Joon, fearing for their child’s welfare and happiness growing up, decided that it would be better raising Ji-Soo in France with her maternal family. So at barely 6 months old Ji-Soo was renamed to Atreus and moved to Ault, Somme in France.
It was agreed that Agnes would be the main parent to raise Atreus, as then Ha-Joon could stay in Korea to appease his mother so that she would not bother their child. And so Atreus was raised for the first 5 years of her life in Ault, among the rocky beaches and chalk cliffs of the coast. Because of Ault’s location on the coast of the English Channel it was very easy for the two to visit the Beddoes. And they often did, going to socialite events and parties to meet up.
During these parties Atreus would often find a quiet spot to sit and read or observe quietly, as they were a shy child. It was here that they met one Cassius Hirano. While the two did not become thick as thieves immediately, they did enjoy each other’s company.
When Atreus was 5 years old, Anges’ cousin Leon Beddoe passed away rather abruptly. His wife, Arrianna Beddoe Nee Lestran, had already passed away in an accident so there was no one to inherit his estate. This left both the Beddoes and Desjardins puzzled over what to do with his house and muggle business. As his muggle wife had started a fashion business and after her death he kept it. The house too was not desirable as it was in a neighborhood in Muggle London.
However Agnes saw an opportunity, as Atreus had been slowly gaining a fear of the ocean. Agnes had always cautioned them so they would not be swept away by the tide, but it slowly got out of hand. As Atreus was beginning to have night terrors about the ocean. So Agnes took the chance to move Atreus to somewhere inland. It was a good thing they did as a large storm later had damaged the house, flooding parts of it with sea water. It would have only fueled Atreus’ nightmares.
So Atreus moved to Wimbledon, London shortly after cousin Leon’s death. Agnes decided to keep the fashion brand much to the surprise of the entire family as it was a muggle business, but she saw it as a way to escape the high society world if it all became too much for the small family. Ha-Joon through the years had continued to visit Agnes and Atreus, and agreed with the move to make Atreus more comfortable.

ReducioAt age 8 Atreus had their first incidence of magic, it was sadly not a happy one. While on a walk in muggle London with her nanny, Atreus came across a large dog. The dog was aggressive and able to slip the leash it had been on, much to the despair of the owner. It bolted after Atreus scaring her into running where she was chased through streets of London, until she was cornered in an alleyway. In an act of pure fear, her magic responded flooding the alley with fog, allowing her to slip away. After this she wandered the streets of London for 3 hours until the police found her and returned her to her mother.
Since then Atreus has a phobia of large dogs, and has become even more soft spoken. Though she gained the fear of large dogs, her fear of the ocean has lessened with the time away from the coast. Though large bodies of water still make her feel nervous.

- I cannot approve at this moment, because you can only have one nationality. If you are wanting to change it from english, cool, but nationality is where you were born. So like, if you were born in the United States, you'd be an American, if you were born in Korea, you'd be Korean. Based on the information you put in under backstory, I assume she was born in Korea, so please edit your form to state Korean as the Nationality, or if you wish to keep it English, make adjustments to the backstory.

First Instance of Magic: She is from Hull, England and loves her home town very much. She comes from a long line of pure blooded wizards as her father is from the sacred Lenoir family who have all been sorted into Gryffindor while her mother is from the sacred Silverling family who were mostly sorted into hufflepuff except for my mom and a few of her earlier relatives . Both sides do have a very neutral view towards muggles and scribes. Meaning they don't despise them but they also don't give them the attention or bat an eye. Both her parents are very famous Aurors who work with the Ministry of Magic. While Karime may only have 12 cousins in total. Her family is still tight knitted, big and loves spending the holidays with each other. She has been taught her family history and sometimes feels pressure to live up to their expectation as her father's side is sacred because of their wealth while her mother's side is sacred for their contribution to animal discovery. She has an older brother who has attended Hogwarts and was in Slytherin. He works in the ministry of magic with their parents but as a curse breaker. She was homeschooled by her parents when she was 4 till she was 11 but sometimes they would have a tutor on the days they were very busy. She is very much into animals and is taught to be herself.
Reducio
She would play with her brother in their back yard when she was little. They would play in the little pond they had and even had a tree house they would go in. One day when she was 5 her and her older brother were running around the snow and were having a lot of fun. They then started a snow ball fight. They were so giggly until she had thrown a snowball which hit her brother in the chest. He then started gathered snow enough for it to be the size of her face. She was getting ready to counter attack/ strike first. But she had gotten distracted by her mom calling them for dinner. When she turn back to her brother and saw the snow ball about to hit her dead in the face. She gasp and put her hands out to protected her face but…. She didn’t feel the impact and when she open her eyes. She saw the snow ball was floating right in front of her face only a mere 2 inches away. Her brother was surprised and then the snow ball had stopped floating and fell to the ground.

Genie lived a charmed but unremarkable life, right up until the death of her mother at the age of 4 following a magical explosion/backfire while she was working in her personal lab. (Her mother had been an avid potions enthusiast with a penchant for experimenting with new brews). Growing up, she'd never wanted for anything, not clothes, not toys, not magical tutors to ensure a proper education. Her mother had been her emotional lifeline, grounding her within the world of oppulence and heavy expectations.
After her mother's passing, her father remarried a woman thrilled and enchanted by the high life but less thrilled about becoming a step-mother.
Often, Genie was left to her own devices, wandering the estate and finding joy in her own company. There was always a nanny nearby to keep her on track, always someone waiting to address her whims but very few who took real interest in her day.
Young as she is, her life has been events, galas, parties and the sort of grooming that is intended to turn her into a young woman of proper breeding and etiquette by the time she comes of age.
While not the most involved, her father has always held high expectations for her, cultivating a culture of needing to succeed and harsh self-criticism when she does anything but.
Her friendships have been limited to other children of 'proper breeding' within her father's social circle. Her knowledge of wider and more common but less lavish social settings is severely lacking as a result. In many ways, it can be said she was raised and overly sheltered in an ivory tower.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Her first instance of magic occurred on her 7th birthday. Her stepmother had organised a party for her in the garden, full of children she didn't like and who didn't particularly care for her. Genie had been paraded and celebrated beyond anything she would've asked for, and when pressured to provide a gracious 'thank you' speech to all her guests, she accidentally set the cake and thus the tablecloth on fire.
What should have been a day of celebration was nothing short of overly stimulating and terrifying for the little girl who harboured so much anxiety. While others cheered, she could feel the hedges of the garden closing in. She didn't want to be the centre of attention, but instead to fade into the background until the horrible thumping in her chest could subside.
By the time they stood her before the gathered crowd, she could feel her heart lodged in her throat and the subtle trembling of her limbs. An escape was what she'd needed. A fire was what came. Her father, who might otherwise have been put off by her inability to maintain her presence in their world as seamlessly as the other children, was rather thrilled when he realised what had happened. Genie didn't speak much, and he'd lost touch with the sort of child he was raising. There had been little fears that she might have been a squib as he had exhibited his first instance of accidental magic at 3 and her mother at 5. She was getting on in age, and he was concerned.
Her stepmother was more disheartened by the burned decor and the party being ruined, as it was abundantly clear that Genie did not want to and could not continue with the celebrations.

Character Backstory: Shelowyn Bloomthorn, second child to Darius Bloomthorn and fourth child to Irene Bloomthorn. She was born in Frankfort, Germany and spent her first few years of life roaming along the river that meandered near their townhome. Her halfsiblings, Krissius and Christina, were twins. They were in their final year of high school when Shelowyn was born. As soon as they graduated they moved out and went no contact with the whole of the family. Neither Shelowyn nor her siblings remember much of them so life moved on as if nothing had changed.
Unlike her older sister, Cassandra, and her younger brother, Deric, Shelowyn felt out of her element in the city. While her siblings thrived in the bustle of the city, especially Cassandra who was nay if ever home. Spending her days jumping in and out of the neighbors homes with homeever would have her company. Deric thrived nestled in their mother's arms, as she cooed and catered to his every need. Shelowyn was sat at the riverbed. Her legs covered with a thick layer of mud as she collected worms, frogs and various snakes. She always carried a basket as well which she filled with wild flowers and the branch of whatever new plant she planned to research during their weekly visits to the library. Darius was unaware that his very young daughters were left mostly unattended in what he deemed an unsafe environment as he was too busy working. Rarely home by midnight and often gone before the sunrise. The rare times he did spend home he filled his children's days with love. Mostly his daughters for they clung tightly to his legs, begging for his undivided attention. Until one day Darius was called home by Law Enforcement.
"Are you the father of Cassandra and Shelowyn Bloomthorn, Darius?"
"Yes, what is the problem Officer?"
"Your children were found unattended by the riverbed. We need you to come into the office."
It was a dark day for Darius. After informing the officers he was unaware of his children free roaming the neighborhood, he fully believed his wife when she came in screeching about how their daughters had vanished. That she found the door ajar and had been looking for them. Tears streamed down her face as her daughters looked on, confusion plastered in their gaze.
"You know how toddlers can be! I was changing their brother's diaper and feeding him when I realized it had gone quiet and they were gone!"
The officer let them go, with a warning to get more locks on their doors. That's just what Irene did, locking them in almost all day. Darius cut back on his hours but was saddened to hear his daughters cry about being inside all day. Him and Irene decided it would be best to move to their hometown. All the way over to Iverness, Scotland. Despite Irene's protests, Darius insisted on a few acres just outside of town. They could keep a few animals and still have a big enough yard for the kids to roam freely. It was a quiet and peaceful place to raise children. Cassandra and Deric initially were excited for the change in scenery and spent their days with Shelowyn playing outside.
Then Cassandra and Deric began fighting over everything. Simple sibling spats but it ruined the ability for them all to play together. During one of these particular fights, Shelowyn had her first instance of magic. Her two siblings were fighting, again! Around and around they ran, chasing each other. Her older sister making all sorts of heinous threats to her little brother whom waved around his arms screaming, "Mama! Mama, Cassandra is going to hurt me!" Mother was just upstairs ignoring them. The screaming, the yelling, all of this high energy was getting to Shelowyn. She just wanted it to stop. She sunk to the floor, throwing her hands over her ears. The muffled thump followed by crying had her popping her eyes open wide. Their toys that had been strewn about all stood as a wall, having tripped her two siblings. As soon as she saw it, the toy wall came crumbling down. Her parents stood just behind it, a knowing look in her father's eyes. The event was brushed off by the rest of her family. Her father never spoke to her about it.
Cassandra's 12th birthday came around. She got her first laptop and suddenly spent her days locked away in her room. Deric turned 10, getting his first xbox and spending his days playing video games. Shelowyn was right back to playing outside alone. Her 11th birthday came and went. She got some watercolors and a satchel she treated as another limb. She occasionally played games or dabbled on her sister's laptop but she found them boring. She'd rather paint a ladybug crawling across a leaf, press flowers or read her growing collection of books.
Shelowyn was strewn across the couch as she watched her brother play his newest game. Plop. A letter landed upon her lap. Her gaze met the grey eyes of her father above her. He had the most serious expression on his face. They needed to talk, now. The letter slipped between her palms, crinkling in her grasp as she rolled off the couch and shuffled behind Darius. She swapped the letter between her hands, the free one wiping her sweaty palm down her pants. They stopped his office and Darius leaned against his desk.
"Open it."
Her father's voice rang in her head. What is this letter...it looked so ancient compared to the crisp paper she was so accustomed to, it even had a waxed seal and a crest ordained in the front. All of her willpower kept her from giving her father a look. She slipped her thumb into the letter, broke the seal and folded it open.
Hogwarts School of Wtchcraft and Wizardry
Dear Miss Bloomthorn,
We are pleased to onform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts-
She finally gave her father that look. At some point he had come to kneel, so they were eye level. He swallowed, grey eyes searching her blue ones. 'Is this a joke?' She wanted to ask but his face already told her the answer. No. It wasn't.
They both sat in his office as he explained everything. He was a wizard who attended Hogwarts once too. He told her about the houses, he was a Gryffindor who excelled in broom racing but his dream was to be a quidditch player. How meeting Irene and having Cassandra convinced him to leave the wizarding world. He had graduated before the incident with Voldemort. He wanted his family far from it. Then he saw her magical powers himself and knew that no matter how far he ran, the wizarding world was always there. He didn't want to take this choice from her. He believed it only right that she get to dictate her own life.
"Thank you...what about Cassandra and Deric?"
Darius shook his head, "you're the only one so far. Deric can still show powers within the year but I do not have much hope."
Shelowyn nodded. They spoke more of the wizarding world. Darius also spoke to Irene who was shocked. Cassandra and Deric didn't know how to take this new information and closed themselves off even more from Shelowyn. Irene spent more time with Deric. Darius made sure to treat Cassandra well but she was distant.
Darius took Shelowyn to Diagon Alley to get her supplies. He told her he would be with her as much as he could. That he was sorry she would be so ill prepared entering the world of her birthright.

First Instance of Magic: When Shelowyn was 6 her two siblings were fighting, again!

Character Backstory:
Maeve Wynn was a Squib, living in a small, coastal Welsh town for all her life. Since she was incapable of magic, it was no surprise that she would fall in love with a muggle. Someone as incapable of magic as she was. Someone who wouldn't make her feel that tiny twinge of jealousy she felt when her sister came round.
Emyr was a kind man. A man with dreams. Maeve spent many nights that winter watching the waves hit the coast as he told her all about his bold plans for the future. He would be a doctor, curing the world one patient at a time. It was easy to fall in love with such a kindhearted man.
The pregnancy was a surprise. Maeve couldn't possibly ruin Emyr's lofty dreams with a surprise pregnancy. They weren't even twenty, for God's sake, so she did the only thing she could think of. She wrote a letter to her sister and they left together, leaving Emyr behind.
The Wynnstone Inn is well known in muggle circles. Muggles see the website and its shiny promises of the 'Most Paranormal Experience in the UK!' and book rooms, fancying themselves paranormal investigators.
The cost of staying at the inn included the cost of the room, a communal dinner on the night of check in, and a communal breakfast the following morning with the other guests and the Wynn family. Lunch and snacks were available upon request, and Elspeth's mom especially loved providing herbal tea to the guests. The dining hall had a large number of tables, so there was plenty of room to match the number of sleeping chambers they had available. Some people stayed only a night at a time, while others stayed weeks upon weeks at a time.
The Inn itself wasn't an ordinary inn, obviously. Originally, many centuries ago, the Wynnstone castle, going by a different name at the time, obviously, was a smaller lord's castle used as an outpost in various border skirmishes with other local lords. Years passed, and the castle traded hands many times until eventually a wizard who was down on his luck sold the castle for far below its value, a mere pittance of galleons.
Elspeth's mom and aunt were the ones to buy it, relocating the three of them from Wales to Scotland.
When they arrived, Elspeth was but a baby, unable to form a single word just yet. It quickly became apparent that the castle, build long before the International Statute of Secrecy, had housed muggles and magical people alike, evident by the old tomes, charmed to only be legible by those with magic of their own, and the very common presence of ghosts.
While muggles couldn't see the ghosts, not really, beyond the secondary feeling of their effects on the environment, Elspeth and her witch aunt could see them quite clearly. To the baby Elspeth, they were just transparent, silvery-blue people. She babbled at them and, as she grew up, talked to them like she would talk to the other guests in the castle-turned-inn.
Back to that topic, the sisters juggled caring for Elspeth and cleaning and restoring the castle to a more pristine state. They left the rustic, lived in atmosphere, but cleaned the cobwebs and fixed the broken support beams and windows. It was quickly becoming apparent that maintaining the castle properly would be a lot of work, and expensive to boot, so to come out even for the galleons they'd spent, they decided to convert the castle into an Inn.
Maeve Wynn, Elspeth's mom, is a squib, but she dabbles in herbal remedies and the like. She mostly interacts with the muggle guests within the inn. She denies vehemently the fact that she preys upon muggle tourists with her old folk remedies, since a lot of the ingredients are actually used to treat the things she claims they treat, but without magic of her own, she can't actually make magical potions or poultices, so the effectiveness is a shadow of what it could be. Still, even though she's a squib, Maeve never shies from teaching Elspeth her own opinions on magic: that, even for muggles, magic exists in the form of stories, of songs sang through the generations. She insists that it's a subtle magic, but a magic nonetheless.
Nessa Wynn, Elspeth's aunt, is a witch, and she is stubbornly and apologetically strange. She carries her wand in her sleeve at all times, keeping backup wands she purchased during her career with the Ministry hidden throughout the inn. It isn't due to paranoia, though. She just tends to clumsily misplace her wand on occasion. She has an education in magic that all Hogwarts students have, of course, but she has a remarkable appreciation for older forms of magic over the modernized spells and incantations: she especially loves runes and magical vows or pacts.
Elspeth grew up within the Wynnstone Inn conversing with ghosts on a daily basis. The muggle guests that came to the inn only say a quiet girl sitting in the corner and reading her books, but the truth was that she was pretending to read while listening to ghosts' stories. She had a deep fascination for the stories of the ghosts that lived in the castle. Some, like the librarian, taught her history of the local area, while others, like the ghost who claimed to have been a war hero under the lord who originally built the castle, told her stories of great battles and loves lost.
When she wasn't speaking with ghosts, Elspeth liked to explore the castle. It was a smaller castle, of course, but even so there were hidden passages and blocked off staircases to the upper battlements that her aunt liked to pretend she didn't know Elspeth was using. When the adults weren't working, and Elspeth wasn't exploring or talking to ghosts, Elspeth did receive an education. The good thing about the castle was that many of the oldest books were intact, and educating Elspeth on basics of literature, maths, and even science was quite easy in such a place.

First Instance of Magic:
At six years old, Elspeth was exploring the grounds surrounding Wynnstone castle with her aunt. Atop the nearby river, there was a large rock the pair liked to sit on and braid each other's hair or toss stones into the river, but today was an especially rainy day, so it was a recipe for disaster.
Nessa was walking at a slow, casual pace behind Elspeth, watching the child burn her energy as she ran toward the river.
"Careful, little doxy!" Nessa called over the rain.
Elspeth turned to hear her aunt better, and her foot hit the slippery moss of one of the rocks she was running on. In an instant, she was tumbling down toward the river. Nessa sprinted as fast as she could toward the accident, her wand at the ready, but she needn't have bothered.
When she got to the cliffside, about a twelve-food drop to the river, Elspeth appeared to be floating there. On further inspection, she wasn't quite floating, but had somehow accidentally rendered herself weightless. Caught in a breeze like a feather, Elspeth wafted up onto the cliffside, where her aunt quickly caught her.

First Instance of Magic: The first time Asara used magic was when she was 3. Her parents tried to make her dress up for a community event and she hated the scratchy clothes so much she wailed so loudly her grandmothers glasses broke. Thankfully no one was seriously injured.
Character Backstory
Origins
Asara was born in Dublin, Ireland, her mother's own birthplace. Her maternal family lived there since her great-grandmother, Niamh, moved there from Ballyforan, Ireland, to enjoy the city life. Her parents met when her father, Callum, visited from Durness, Scotland, to tour the Guinness Brewery. When Asara was 5 they moved to Carbost, Scotland, so her mother could work at the Talisker Brewery.
Callum is a pure-blooded wizard who manages magical water ecosystems, mainly lakes and bogs. Ciara is a squib born of two half-bloods, her maternal magical lineage starting from her muggleborn grandmother. Ciara is a few months pregnant with a surprise child. They don't know the child's sex yet but Asara is hoping for a little brother, she wants to name him Camille.
Personal History & Relationships
Asara grew up attached to water, playing in lakes, creeks, and the ocean. If she wasn't in the water she was rolling down hills as fast as she could. Callum liked to call her 'my Each-Uisge wean' because she was always turning up a muddy mess. Her mother, Ciara, leaves her bathing to Callum because she's too grubby for her muggle methods. Ciara likes to call her 'my Caisearbhán' (my dandelion), when she's neat and tidy, but usually calls her 'wee goblin' for her messy appearance, wild behaviour and hoarding habits.
She has a muggle friend, Eilidh, who she met at piano lessons in the community pub. They often go fishing and camping together with their fathers. Eilidh knows about magic because of her muggleborn Auntie, Olivia, and has sworn Asara to writing her. Eilidh wants to take over the Glenbrittle Campsite when she's older.
Home - Bankstide Lodge, Carbost, Isle of Skye, Scotland
Asara lives in a 4 bedroom, 2 storey cottage home along the banks of Loch Harport. It's made of old, white and light grey cobblestone. The outer walls were painted yellow until Ciara had it restored when they moved in. Now they have vine plants and vertical gardens growing up the walls. The roof is a dark greyish black with teal trimming.
There's an extensive yard with a muggle food garden and a hidden magical garden maintained by the family. The magical garden has a pond with little water sprites and her mother is secretly brewing gin in the muggle shed. The front of the house leads to the loch where they leave their family boat and a couple canoes.
Asara's room is at the front of the top floor, overlooking the front yard and the loch. It's an organised mess. She has a tendency towards hoarding sweets and stashing wild trinkets around the place. She likes decorating with plants and a variety of fun and pretty trinkets. Her room isn't considered complete until she has something to comfy hug or curl up in, has at least one plant, has a few trinkets and at least one prism sun catcher hanging somewhere.

Character name (First and last name): Kaia Luna Lombardi-Flanning
School Year or Adult Level: First Year
Does any Profile Card info need changing?: Nope
Link to the character page: About me!
Character Statistics: Stamina 5 | Evasion 6 | Strength 1 | Wisdom 7 | Arcane power 7 | Accuracy 9
Character Backstory:
You may be wondering who Kaia is: she is a young girl who has been fortunate enough to be taught about three different cultures.
But let's start at the beginning.
Kaia was born on April 15, 2014, in the picturesque hills of the Cotswolds,Bibury, to an English father and an Italian-Norwegian mother.
Her mother, Sigrid Lombardi, is a pure-blood witch of Italian-Norwegian origin: she is described by everyone as an energetic, curious, and competent woman, employed by the Department for International Cooperation.
Her father, Edric Flanning, is a half-blood Englishman, a botanist specializing in magical plants, always with his hands in the soil.
She spent the first two years of her life in a house surrounded by flower-filled paths and misty hills, on an old family property on her father's side. Although old, the house was full of life, laughter, and books.
In her third year, they moved to Italy, to Rasiglia, a village known as the village of water. In Italy, she is educated at home by tutors who teach her basic concepts appropriate for her young age. Very often, it is her mother who explains magical concepts to her. The environment in which she grows up is peaceful and relaxed, punctuated by the constant sounds of streams running through the village: a place that, over time, becomes an integral part of her character. During these years, her mother passed on her Norwegian and Italian roots, combining Nordic myths and Umbrian folk tales, which were amplified when she visited her grandmother in Norway during the summers.
Her father, on the other hand, taught her to recognize magical herbs, to respect the creatures that inhabit the woods, and to never underestimate the intelligence of nature. In addition to the beauty of nature, her father taught her about Muggle concepts.
Shortly before her sixth birthday, an important change came: Sigrid received a promotion and was transferred back to England. So the family returned to their old but beloved home in the Cotswolds, where Kaia rediscovered her British roots and continued her education privately, followed by selected tutors who offered her both magical and Muggle training.
Two other important events took place that same year. The first is the birth of her twin siblings, a sister named Liv Aurora and a brother named Nikolai “Niko” Rowan. The second is the discovery of her magic.
Kaia discovers her powers shortly after returning to Bibury and the birth of her siblings. As was customary on rainy autumn days, she enjoyed completing puzzles on the floor of the living room. While searching for the last piece of the puzzle, she saw it under a piece of furniture. Kaia tried to reach for it, but frustrated at not being able to grab it, she shouted and magically made it return to her hand without touching it.
One April morning in her eleventh year, while Kaia was helping her father in the garden, she received a letter from Hogwarts. Excited, but also ready: school represents the beginning of the adventure she has always imagined.

I think it would have appeared really far back in her family history, as she is a muggleborn with muggle parents and grandparents, so she would not know who in her family was a seer, but like the witch part, it came to her. She has always had a good judge of character which could be interpreted by the intuition side of being a seer. When watching shows or reading books she can tell who the 'villain' is before it is revealed.
As she gets older, her intuition will get stronger and with what i read in the lore area, her hair will take a slight silver tone slowly, and then turn fully silver in her final year. In her third year I think her characters eyes would turn completely white, instead of glossing over, and I think it would be either to do with her family, friends or something completely random that can be decided closer to the time. I think at first she would start off being a bit confused by it, the wizarding world is new to her, so she would keep it a secret at first, maybe note it in her journal, before in public like during a Quidditch match or during a potions class, shed move or intervene prematurely to something happening. This would lead to her questioning it a bit more, going to the library about it, writing in her diary, and perhaps going to a teacher about it. After that she would pay more attention to it, using it to help others where she can as well as herself. At the same time I think she would not tell everyone as she wouldn't want it to be sort of a party trick. She wouldn't get a vision in a sense of a warning but more, she'd move and not realise until afterwards why she moved. At least at first, until she learns more about it. But I think in her family tree, really far back there was wizard history, and then they married muggles etc etc until her generation. She is also the only left handed in her immediate family which is ironic as she is the only one who is a wizard.
I think she would also then look into her family tree more, contacting her family and trying to find it out, as well as looking at any yearbooks or records in the Hogwarts library to cross examine and find who was a wizard in her past, where she would probably then see the mention of the seers in her history.
What she would find is many generations back on her mothers side, her great, great, great great great grandmother, was a seer, the youngest child in the immediate family. She was a halfblood, and married a muggle, who went on to have children, who also married muggles, passing down the recessive gene through the women in the family. This went on and on, until Stephanie got the luck of the draw and was a muggleborn seer.
Looking back in her childhood it made sense, she had never broken a bone, never been stung, she had managed to be just careful enough to not require be seriously hurt. She always knew who was at the door without knowing their guests for the day, and she always knew if she would do well in her class.
She was about 6 years old, and in a store with her family. She was looking in the book aisle and got the urge to move. And to move fast. She moved backwards quickly and at the same time the light from the ceiling above had broken and swung, falling right where she had been standing. Had she not moved, she'd have been hit. Safe to say her mother was horrified and she got a few free books that day for the shock it had caused. She doesn't remember it very much but remembers crying.
At the age of 7 she was in the garden with her siblings in the summer, her father had put the dinner on and not set the timer, whilst playing with her siblings with the chalk and drawing a hopscotch she looked up suddenly and yelled about the dinner. They rushed in and turned the oven off, managing to get it before it burnt and was ruined.
When she was 8, she was at home. Whilst watching a film and having no prior feelings she suddenly got the need to go outside so she did and stood in the back garden, when a bird fell from the sky with an injured wing. She put her arms out and caught it, the bird was a beautiful crow, and was taken to their nearest pet sanctuary to nurse back to health.
I think it really fits her character, and that she would find joy in developing her skills, and use it for good, and to help people, which she loves doing. She loves tasking care of her siblings and helping her parents with little chores, so I think her being a seer would heighten that and help her in so many ways.

Background
Reducio
Born on 27th September 2013, Stephanie Beth Kensington was at first an only child. This would not last long however, as a year and ahalf later, she had a sister, and then another year and a half passed before she had a brother. Growing up her parents couldn't drive, so their summer holidays saw them going abroad. This led to a love of exploring and experiencing different sites and cultures. Her mother worked in the primary school that she and her siblings went to. They spent holidays in the campervans, or flying to a sunny country for some warm weather. She loved either, and especially the kids clubs they had.
Throughout her childhood her only experience of magic was through the films and tv shows that included them. But they were not very accurate as she would later find. Disney along with Dreamworks and Pixar formed her perception of magic, along with some books like the Rainbow Magic books and some others. She always found it exciting, and it led to many a games between the three siblings where they pretended to have powers. Other games included floor is lava and hide and seek. One of the lengthy games was on their trampoline, they brought blankets and pillows and pretended the stands were lifts to different levels! There was a trampoline room, a water room, a pet room and whatever else they conjured up in their minds! That particular game had an imaginary cube on a belt which held all their clothes and inventory. They were rather creative at times.

Three months before her 11th birthday, the family was at a zoo, and were eating a picnic. They had been to this zoo a couple times growing up. Stephanie asked her brother to pass her the mini sausage rolls (they were one of her favourites) and he ignores her (he was rather distracted by the birds). His favourite bird seemed to be a blue macaw, a rather noisy one. She gets a bit frustrated after being ignored a second time so says it a bit louder and the sausage rolls are then in front of her. They had moved to her...but had not exactly been passed to her Her brother still looking at the bird, and her sister eating quietly. Her parents were confused and skeptical at first (as some parents often are) and blamed it on the wind despite it being rather still in the air that day. When she got her letter, however, they seemed a bit more convinced and spent some time talking about it. It was a big decision after all, sending one child to a boarding school to learn magic, the whole idea seemed far fetched. But eventually they decided to go for it, and if it was a scam, then not really any harm done. They very quickly discovered it was not a scam however, when they entered Diagon Alley.

3) Nationality
- there is no mention Norwegian influences on Stephanie's life, if you would like to change your nationality to solely Norwegian please elaborate on this in your history/background section
Also, you will not be able to apply for the seer special talent after index registration, so please include that application with your edits if you would like to apply for seer.

2) Please change your stats to add up to 30, due to seer application.
STATUS: Pending -- Aston, 21st August
1) Please expand more on what early signs of being a seer did Stephanie have and what specific family memebers passed down the seer gene rather then what will happen to her in the future. Even if Stephanie doesn't know who in her family was a seer we as index still need to know.

Juliette was born in South Shields, a small city in the Northern east of England. Her parents are Muggles farmer. While she excelled at school, she also took extracurricular activities, such as horse riding, violin classes. During the holidays, she often asked her parents to join them at their family farm, where she would follow her parents and learn more about what being a farmer means. She also had a good connection with the animals, such as cows, sheep and goats. Juliette is a single child, she has a few friends at home and at the equestrian centre where she rides, however, she often prefers to stay around animals, where she finds peace. As a Muggle-born, Juliette grew up thinking that magic was only a myth. She loved stories, such as the tale of Merlin and sometimes would even dream that she could be a witch. When Juliette learnt that she was a witch, and that the wizarding world was real, she wasn't sure if it was a joke at first, but the more the professor was talking and explain to her parents what Hogwarts is, and the wizarding world, she realised it was real. Juliette wasn't sure how to feel, she felt excited but scared at the same time. everything was new. On the other hand, her parents seemed more grounded, genuinely curious about this hidden world. Once Juliette and her parents' questions were answered and the professor told them that they will be back soon to help Juliette buy her school supplies, Juliette and her parents stayed in the living room, discussing what it meant for Juliette's education and future, which helped Juliette realise that she was about to start an exciting adventure. Juliette will start her education at Hogwarts in the year 2025-2026.
First instance of magic:
Reducio
Juliette's first instance of magic happened when she was 5-year-old. She was playing alone in her room, when suddenly, a small ball, which was on the ground next to her, disappeared and reappeared a few seconds after. At that time, Juliette didn't realise it, but other things happened over the next few years. A couple of hours after, she ventured outside her house because she couldn't sleep due to the previous strange thing that happened. She found herself in a pitch-black field a couple of minutes away from her house, something she used to do as she lives in the countryside and her parents told her it was safe and would help her clear her mind if she needed. About 30 minutes after arriving, she realised she couldn't find her way back home and started panicking. Suddenly, a small orb of light appeared in front of her and seemed to guide her home. Once her house was in her sight, the orb of light disappeared, and Juliette made it home safe. Juliette told her parents about it the next day, however, they told her it was just her imagination. She tried to replicate this orb of light; however, she never succeeded.

Hi Juliette, just a few things to take care of before we can accept your registration.
1. For your encyclopedia, make sure your trunk page only has your stats, and a section for your abilities. If you want to track spells and potions and RPs you can still do that, but you should make a separate post for that in the encyclopedia. There is no limit to how many posts your encyclopedia can have, so feel free to make an extra post (or multiple, if you prefer) to store this information.
2. Your character backstory should be 220 words on its own, separately from the first instance of magic. Can you add more detail about her life to the backstory? (One possible topic: how did she and her family react when she found out that she was a witch?)

Nuala Ó Ruaric was the name of witch once said to predict a season’s harvest and picture storms before they broke over the land. She lived as she died, carrying her people through troubling times, and nature was her expertise. But like many things, the passage of time made her preferred branch of Sight increasingly obsolete. Technology advanced. Her descendants didn't inherit what she had. One-hundred and seventy years later, word of her contributions went unspoken, left unread in the pages of books too fragile to handle. Since her time, no O’Rourke has produced a true Seer; their practice of the Sight now faded beyond remembrance.
Or so it is believed. Róis, all things considered, is a normal eleven-year-old witch. She takes lessons, plays rugby, and stays up past bedtime to text on her father’s old, often faulty flip phone. While young, there are few things she’s already sure of: her love for her family, her taste in music, and that the odd dreams that plague her in the night are not worth the existential crisis. Róis knows herself to be a witch like most of her family, however unremarkable and untrained her magic may be in her young age. It hasn’t crossed her mind in the slightest that she may yet stand out amongst them. While the Sight chose her, it has yet to express itself in a matter as clear as she needs, and Róis is no more cognizant of its presence in her blood than her parents are. Their union rekindled a a latent familial trait. A Seer born into the family after a century and a half was not the sort of thing that anyone could expect.
But it’s not like Róis doesn't ponder from time to time.
Premonition liked to strike even during her routines. The highlight of Róis’ younger days was racing her sister from school, eager to test the limits of their increasing freedoms. It should have been an uneventful mission: leave school, book it for the nearest convenience store, dawdle around the village for an hour, and then head on home. But not on this particular day. Róis remembers exiting the store, fizzy in hand, with a prickly feeling of urgency in her chest. An awareness that could only be described in the moment as deja vu—but rawer—trickled through her limbs like electricity, and suddenly, she was on the move. Without hesitation, Róis caught her sister’s arm with an adrenaline-fueled strength and pulled her out of the path of a careening cart. Its brakes, having not been properly set, sent it and the entire load of potted plants it was carrying down the street and pummeling into the shopfront. Earth and soil spilled in dark heaps along the pavement and on her shoes. Onlookers watched with their mouths agape. Róis felt as if she had acted out of control of her own body, but her sister was unharmed. That was what mattered most.
In another instance, Róis dreamed a sequence of the dogs barking in alarm, but upon awakening, Róis found them spread out on her bedroom floor, curled and sleeping. It would have been easy to brush it off and roll back over into her sheets. Whatever possessed her to still get out of bed despite the dogs' slumber very well could have saved her family’s kitchen that night. Her mother had left a tea towel slightly smouldering against the stove hotplate, to which Róis quickly doused in the sink upon discovery. Róis never told anyone. She could hardly articulate the experience if she tried. She could only boil it down to just another coincidence among many, another long string of luck in her life.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Róis is a young witch from Ireland. She was born after sunrise at Letterkenny University Hospital to a witch named Eithne, and [name TBD], a squib. Her earliest memories are those of her home in Dromahair—a quaint, historical settlement near The River Bonet. Just outside of the village sits a modest cottage surrounded by fence, shrubbery, and pine. On the outside it looks like any other modern Irish home. The walls are pebbled white and blue, the roof is slated, and the garden thrives with vegetables the dogs sometimes get into. Wind chimes sing even when the air is still, joined by the squeaking of a crooked TV aerial that clings to the chimney. Internally, magical oddities are obvious to anyone who knows what to look for: a vase of flowers that never seems to wilt, self-straightening rugs, or a tea kettle that rings a select tune depending on who enters the kitchen. Atop the fireplace sits the typical altar of crosses and rosaries, but the hearth itself sometimes flickers green with whispering flame. As a half-blood, Róis’ childhood was shaped by these contrasts; the magical and the mundane, the seen and unseen.
Her father, loved as he is, is a mundane man. The gift of magic was not one bestowed upon him, but in his eyes, having two witch daughters is miracle enough. Hard labor in logging paved way for an administrative promotion in the same field, particularly after an accident that granted him a fractured hip. While avoiding the office question of how he’d recovered so quickly, he was back to work in a dreary, but air-conditioned cubicle to support his family. It’s a far cry from the renown of employment within the Ministry of Magic like his father before him, but it pays well. He’s gained an appreciation for various machinery, from tractors, to cranes, to forwarders, and more. Even when not working, he can often be found tinkering on the family Volkswagen.
Róis’ mother, Eithne, is the magic of the family. She became a witch midwife within two years of her second daughter’s birth. The work was stable and rewarding; she made a name for herself among both magical and muggle families alike. When the girls could not reasonably continue to attend muggle school as result of their sporadic magic and bloodthrall condition, Eithne put her career on the sideline to homeschool them away from prying eyes. Now, whenever her schedule allows, Eithne takes on a side business installing house-hold charms such as anti-mold spells, garden wards, and other elemental protections. It was her idea to bring three Schnauzers into the home, but even her beloved pets can’t conceal her growing stress. Lately, Róis’ relationship with both parents has been strained; she remembers the night her sister changed forever and the harsh ways in which they blamed themselves.
While different in age, Róis and her younger sister [name TBD] are often mistaken for fraternal twins. It doesn’t help that they’re inseparable; wherever one goes, the other follows. They sleep in separate bedrooms but share a bath that connects both quarters, some products, some clothes—a blessing in learning conflict resolution, but not so much in keeping track of things. The cottage sits on enough land for them to entertain themselves when out of school. Róis still meets with peers from muggle school, but considers her sister her greatest friend.

First Instance of Magic:

Her parents can recall Róis’ first magic as silly rather than flashy or destructive. As a sensitive child, it was not uncommon for her tears to fall upward rather than down—or for her to rebel against a dress code by having her outfit change colors, but only when caught in the flash of a camera. It was of no shock to anyone when she received her Hogwarts acceptance letter in the summer of 2025.
