Majata's parents were 180 degrees different. Let me explain.
Her mum, Mary — Mary Rose she’d been before, you know, before she got married — she was one of those Muggle-born witches who’d gone to Hogwarts years ago. Smart as anything, that one.
And then her dad, Alexandre, was just… well, he was a bit peculiar when we were in school, wasn’t he?

They were only a year apart and both of them were Ravenclaws, so sure, they knew each other — but mates? That was probably pushing it. She couldn’t stand the bloke, if she was being honest. There’s Alexandre, always skulking around the common room with a potions book in hand, writing down notes as if his life depended on it about whatever strange ingredients he was messing with that week.
No one ever spoke to him properly. Well, they certainly didn’t talk to him like a person — they always talked to him about cauldrons or potions, and I don’t think that really counts.

Anyway, they graduate, right?
And Mary goes and does this thing that had everybody going mental. You hear something like that and you’d expect the girl — you’d expect her to do what’s supposed to be done: get some cushy job at the Ministry, marry some half-decent wizard, settle herself down somewhere in Diagon Alley or wherever. But what does she do?
She goes… she goes off to Muggle university. Had wanted to learn pharmacy, that she did. Her parents owned this little shop back in Durham, and it was kind of falling apart. And Mary being who Mary is, she couldn’t let it totally go to pot. Family first and all that.

Now the interesting thing happens. Fast forward a few years — no, I mean, we’re talking a proper few years, she’d done a degree and everything — and Mary’s out at the Three Broomsticks for some mate’s engagement party.
You know how these things are — everyone gets absolutely bladdered and starts banging on about the good old days.
And whom does she see in the corner, looking quite different than she remembered, if she was honest?
Alexandre blimey Rain, quietly nursing what appeared to be the saddest drink in the wizarding world.

Must’ve been the firewhisky talking, because Mary even crossed over. They started talking, and just somehow, it kind of clicked, you know?
Didn’t know back then that the strangest loner in school had turned into the quietly intense man who actually paid attention to what you said. You never truly know someone, do you?

Flash forward quite a bit — took them bloody ages to finally get organised — and they’re both stuck in this little town in Nowheresville, Durham.
They took over Mary’s parents’ old pharmacy, which by then was doing okay for itself. Mary took care of all the boring things like prescriptions and making the taxman happy, and Alexandre pretty much just stocked the shelves and worked the cash register. Not like he’d learned anything about that at university, poor sod.

But here’s the kicker — the part that makes it all that much more interesting: Alexandre had his own little side racket going on.
Not as though it was anything dodgy, just… I mean, being handy with potions and all, he’d sort of help out the few magical families around town. All very hush-hush, word-of-mouth kind of deal. Brown paper packages after closing time, you know, that kind of thing.
The Muggle customers weren’t to know, of course.

Rearing up in all of this, little Majata would listen from her perch behind the counter — or wherever else she could find to hide out — like some small-time shopkeeper with her nose always buried in a book.
Fairy tales, for the most part, although occasionally she’d wheedle one of her parents — her mother, let’s face it — into transfiguring one of her magical storybooks so she wouldn’t attract funny looks from the customers while she read.
Just another average Tuesday at the Rain residence, is all.

The first time they took her to Diagon Alley — she must have been, what, four, five? Who can really keep track of these things. Oh well, too late to remember now, right?
Anyway, poor little thing almost had her brain melted by everything. Shop windows full of things that jumped and moved or didn’t stay the same size; cauldrons bubbling over but nobody touching them; quills scribbling on their own in mid-air as if that was the most natural thing in the world.
Half of what she saw she couldn’t even make sense of — but it was all magic, and that was enough to make her gape like a proper tourist.

Her parents were off in — oh, what was it called again? Slug & Jiggers, Deathcap and... oh, I can’t seem to remember. It had something to do with potions.
They were probably rowing about the price of beetle eyes or some other such fascinating topic when Majata decides to go for a little explore.

The shop was full to bursting with bizarre, odd items — jars of stuff that surely shouldn’t even exist, stacked up on shelves; wooden crates stretching to the ceiling; bundles of herbs dangling all over the place, every inch of it strung with them like some sort of witchy washing line overhead.

Then she sees something out the window and takes off. Just walks out, bold as you please, into the front window of the Magical Menagerie.
She saw they had this little black kitten in the window, and that was that. Game over.

Now, Majata had been banging on about wanting a cat for months — many months — doing everyone’s head in with it.
But her parents kept brushing her off with the same old, “You’re too young to properly look after a pet.”
It was complete and utter nonsense to her at four. How difficult could it be to feed a cat, after all?
So she’d been chipping away at them with ceaseless nagging about when exactly she’d be old enough.
Her mum would just smile that tolerant smile of mothers everywhere and say, “When you’re older, sweetheart,” which was nowhere near good enough as far as Majata was concerned.

There she was, giving this kitten a proper chatter through the cage — like a right little chatterbox, acting as if the cat was talking back and everything — when she hears her parents flipping out somewhere outside.
They’d realised she wasn’t in the potions shop anymore and were obviously having some kind of breakdown looking for her.
All that panic for naught, in her opinion. She wasn’t that far, and she was perfectly safe, with the kind old lady who ran the shop looking out for her.

Majata just gave them this cheerful little wave from the window and laughed, “Mummy! Daddy! Look, there’s a cat!” — totally oblivious as to why they were both about to have heart attacks. Bless her.

That kitten ended up coming home with them, of course.
Luna, they called her, because of how her black fur caught the light all silvery-like in the moonlight.
Took weeks of Majata’s non-stop campaigning — and we’re talking non-stop, the kid was relentless — but she wore them down eventually.
Always did know how to get what she wanted, that one.

Seven years later, Luna’s still glued to Majata’s side like they’re joined at the hip.
That particular morning — it was one of those proper lovely summer days, you know the sort, all warm and lazy and perfect for doing absolutely nothing — Luna was curled up in Majata’s lap while she doodled away in her sketchbook.
Her brown and purple curls kept falling in her face the way they always did when she was concentrating, and she was absentmindedly scratching behind Luna’s ears with her free hand when something started tapping at the kitchen window.

An owl.
A great big golden-eyed thing, with an envelope clutched in its beak that looked far too official for anyone’s liking.
Her Hogwarts letter, finally. About bloody time, too.

First Instance of Magic:

Reducio
She was just six when it started – her very first proper piece of accidental magic, though no one called it that at the time.

It was one of those gloriously warm afternoons, you know the ones, where you don’t want to be cooped up inside doing anything sensible? Majata had managed to get herself situated in a great spot under the old oak tree down by the river - big old bugger of a tree, that, must have been there forever - with some ripped-up old book open in her lap and the sun shining on her face just right. Luna had tagged along, obviously. That little black cat was ever eager for adventure, be it of someone else’s making or their own misadventure.

Majata was lost in whatever story she was reading — probably some princess and dragons thing, knowing her — Luna had chosen to go exploring. Bold as you please, up the tree she went, picking her way on this branch that stuck out over the deeper water and hung there. Not one of Luna’s brightest plans, if you ask anyone.

Then came the snap.

It was a real loud crack, the kind that makes your heart jump before your brain even catches up to what’s going on. Head of Majata went up just in time for her to see the splash. Her stomach plummeted through the floor. Luna had plunged right into the river, and the poor little thing was struggling in the water, wild with fright and unable to catch hold of anything.

Majata absolutely lost it. Screamed as though the world was ending and tossed her book away - didn’t hesitate at all, just dived right in after her. The current was swifter than it appeared from the bank, the mean old thing, and she was fighting like the dickens to reach Luna. Just kept calling her name, over and over, more and more frantic with every passing second.

Then just when she thought the inevitable was in the offing (Luna's tiny paws started to slacken, you could tell she was slowing down), something mental happened.

The cat just... stopped sinking.

Majata stopped, stilled for a long moment, momentarily disbelieving what she was seeing. Luna was hanging there, not sinking below the water as if lying on an invisible cushion or something. Drifting toward her all gentle-like, no more thrashing around.

Majata didn’t spend much time considering the weirdness of that. The moment Luna got close enough she reached out and snatched that wet, trembling baby right into her arms and high-tailed it back to the riverbank as fast as she could run (while carrying a swaddled babe, that is). Tears running down her face the entire time, like a proper mess.

Luna had been completely soaked and scared to death, but she was fine. That's all that mattered, really.

Character Special Race/Talent: Metamorphmagus
Reducio
There had been metamorphmagus’ scattered throughout the long family line on his father’s side. The trait didn’t appear in every generation but there were many members of the Noxley side that had the ability. Leo showed this ability very early on in his infancy, where he was able to change his eye color based on his feelings. His parents were surprised but not entirely, of course, as they knew the trait ran through the family. It had skipped his father’s generation and Leo was the next one to show the trait, with one of his cousins following a few years later. While Leo wasn’t told about his ability until he was 6 years old, his family was and kept a close eye on him so he wouldn’t accidentally use his abilities in front of others when they were out in public. Not that his family thought it was bad, it was actually the opposite as the metamorphmagus trait was something that was rare and special, but they didn’t want people to continuously stare and ask questions.
After Leo learned about his unique trait, he started to work with it and see what he could and couldn’t do. During his younger years there wasn’t much more he could do than a simple hair or eye color change but as he grew the abilities he had slowly started to improve and gain new ones. Before coming to Hogwarts, he spent a lot of time with his grandmother, who was also a metamorphmagus, and she was able to tell him about her own powers and how they will continue to grow more powerful for him as well. This gave him hope as he was always afraid of being viewed as a side show attraction to others when he would accidentally have something happen with emotional changes. She always believed he could do amazing things and encouraged him to work hard so he could one day put the gifts he was given to good use. While at the time he wasn’t sure how his special skills could help anyone he didn’t want to disappoint her and promised that he would do his best when he went off to Hogwarts.
At home throughout his childhood his parents discouraged using his ability until he was older, although he still would play around with it in secret. Sometimes just when he was in the bathroom getting ready he would change his hair color to different shades for fun and practice so he could learn to control it better. He hoped that when he started at Hogwarts he would be able to keep his ability a secret, or at least only tell a select few close friends about it when he was ready. Leo really hoped deep down that going away to school to learn magic would be good for him and he could become more confident in all of his magic abilities including his metamorphmagus skills so he could use it more freely and not be scared of showing it to others.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Leo grew up in a pure blood wizard house, with his parents both very successful in their careers, his father being an auror and his mother working as a journalist. His 2 older siblings, twins Maya and Max, have begun their own careers as well now that they were out of school. He tended to stay to himself more, the only exception outside his family was his 3 best friends. While he never minded spending time on his own, it did make him more closed off to others. He was more close to his grandmother though out of his family members, she cared for him a lot throughout his childhood, always telling him wonderful stories and taking him places. He put a lot of effort into his school work so he would be able to achieve those higher
marks and praise like his siblings did, although he did get tired of people always comparing him to them. But he did hope he could make his grandmother proud especially since she was always there to support him and encourage him to do whatever he wanted. With his family
expecting so much out of him he usually would relieve stress by playing games and sports. He hoped that when he got to Hogwarts he would be able to make them all proud but also be able to enjoy his time there by joining sports and activities and making new friends.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Leo was always being compared to his siblings but as far as magic went he was actually ahead of them. Being a metamorphmagus meant he showed this magical ability from the time he was a small infant. He was able to change his eye color depending on his mood. His family
didn’t tell him about it initially until he was around 6 years old and he accidentally changed his hair length to be longer after his mother took him to get it cut and he didn’t like it. Leo’s parents told him how his grandmother and even one of his cousins all had the metamorphmagus trait. After that he occasionally played around secretly with changing his hair and eye color, trying to learn how to control it but there was a lot of times that he was not able to control it. When his siblings made him mad a few times his hair or eyes would change to a fiery red.

Marcus is in the situation of being the youngest child in the Contarini Crawford family, with an elder brother Enzo, who is the embodiment of athletics, playing quidditch both at Hogwarts and now as a carrier post school. And the rose in the middle is Aurora whose popularity and beauty is famous at Beauxbaton. So, Marcus is in a “pickle” – those are some big expectations to follow. This family is a mix between two pure-blood families, one from Scotland and the second from Italy.
The Contarini’s is the Italian side of the family, is a old family based in Venice, they have produced a lot of splendid witches and wizards, but the one thing they are almost “world famous” for is their ability to see the future, their seer bloodline. To underline the situation, the expectation for a child with “the sight” was very high. Especially for two promising highly magical families, and with no trace of “the sight” in both Enzo and Aurora, the cracks are started to show internally at Contarini Crawford manor.

Like many other pureblood wizard families, especially those with wealth, would hire tutors to teach the different subjects, but alongside these lessons in which you normally would be taught, the study of Marcus’ family bloodlines was strictly taught and tested.
During one of those tests on the Contarini seers, he was reading and writing down the answer to the question; who was the latest seer in the family and how are you connected? he feebly started to write an answer: “Cadiana Contarini who is my mother’s grann…” it has been a long day and Marcus felt overwhelmingly tired, his head started to bounce. What most have being a second felt like a good afternoon nap. Once again, he had one of those “sensory” dreams as he calls them, he was left with a smell of grass, new wood and fresh air, along with sound memories of a cheering crowd very fare in the distance and suddenly a snap or cracking sound of wood breaking. Mrs. Blyth, the tutor, clears her throat and Marcus is drawn back to the paper. He looks down and crosses out what would have been granny and writes grandmother instead.

A whooshing and a roaring sound are coming from the fireplace in the living room next to Marcus. A burly manly voice is streaming out of the fire - ´Lady Crawford. Is Lady Crawford there? `- a loud sound of a door slamming and a set of high heels clacking towards the burly voice saying - ´I’m coming, I’m coming Mr. Fiddes. What is wrong? ` - Mr. Fiddes is Enzo’s quidditch coach. Mr. Fiddes coughs but still manages to deliver the massage, - `It is Enzo, he has been in a terrible crash during the match and is brought to St Mungo's. ` - a moment passes and a stern and affirming voice replies, - ´I’m going straight there, and tell my husband immediately. He will be in the ministry. `- and Mr. Fiddes nervously answers, - ´Yes mam, I will do that. ` Once again the whooshing sound comes from the fireplace, but this time followed by a cracking sound, which Marcus recognizes as apparition, and the living room falls silent.

This feeling. The feeling of having experienced it before right after it had happened, it is what muggles call "DeJa’Vu". It is the same every time, like being pushed into an iced lake. The needle stinging on the skin, the cold shock that numbs the body and lastly the extreme heartbeats, like the heart wants to break free and escape this cold prison. Just as fast as the feeling comes it is over, and you are back to reality, with a short of breath, a racing heart and a confused mind.

With wide eyes he turns his head and looks at Mrs. Blyth, she looks as shocked as he feels. A short moment their eyes meet and then she oddly runs to his table and says, - ´Well little sir Marcus, let’s go and visit your elder brother. ` - she holds out her hand waiting for Marcus, he reluctantly gives her his, and with a crack, and they were of for St Mungo's.

In hindsight, that hadn't even been his first “feeling”, just the most notable. Several times, when he'd been meandering around the manor, he'd had moments where his stomach had dropped, when he would pivot and step to the left just before someone rushed through a door or when he would hide himself in his room just as Mrs. Blyth came for study lessons. But this was the first time that he could clearly put the “the feeling” and situation together.

Well, just like every other child, he wants to please his parents and earn they approval, and with these “feelings”, hi has a fair shot of fulfilling the family expectations and hopefully finding his own spot in the family....

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Marcus Contarini Crawford was the youngest member of the Crawford family, in which two great families are tied together; The house of Crawford is a noble Scottish family hailing from the Lanarkshire area, they are known for being extremely powerful magically and well-liked and respected in both the magical society and the Muggle world. The house of Contarini, a highborn family from the Italian city of Venezia (Venice), the city of masks. The Contarinis are a mysterious family; not much is known about them, other than they are connected to the founding families of Venezia and have strong seer blood in their family, which they are very well-known for.
Marcus has so far lived a very sheltered life, with a kind of absent father (Alastair), who has some old traditions when it comes to the children's upbringing, and he has his hands full with work and politics. His mother (Margareta) had a more hands-on approach, but she was still the lady of the house and therefore had other obligations, but she always had a soft spot for Marcus, possibly due to he was the youngest one. Otherwise, he would be looked after by nannies, tutors, or his Italian nonna (grandmother). Besides this very formal and rigged way of representing the family outwardly, at the heart of it all was a warm and loud Scottish-Italian mixed family, where loyalty and close ranks (family problems are dealt with inside it) are highly valued. As mentioned, Marcus is the youngest of three children, with an older sister and brother. They have a normal siblingship, like others; they would one moment fight and hate each other, and the next laugh and be thick as thieves. Enzo (20) is the eldest, an athletic, truly good-looking, and has that mystic Italian charm. His favorite pastime activity is, of course, Quidditch and girls.
Aurora (17) has inherited her mother's beautiful looks. Although she is the most beautiful flower in the garden, she still has thorns. She is always up to date on the newest gossip and trends. She is still in school.
When it comes to friends and friendships, they would usually be more on the superficial side, because it was never something naturally formed; it was always the child of a proper family or a good "family affiliation." Marcus once met a boy at a big social function, with a lot of important people. All in all, they would hit it off and be a nuisance in the kitchen and the staff, which in turn would interrupt or devastate the dinner. After all guest was gone, his mother was furious, and it was the first and last time she scolded him in a very serious manner. He can't remember ever seeing his mother so mad.

First Instance of Magic
Reducio
Marcus's first instance of accidental wandless magic was on the day were the whole family, both the Crawfords and the Contarini, were gathered for the annual summer fest and games. It was a time for letting loose and catching up with all the other cousins. Marcus was sitting under a tree in the garden, in his hands was a gift from his favorite nonna (Eleonora), which was a book, a book called The Tales of Beedle the Bard. He just wanted some peace and quiet, to be able to read these famous and magical tales. But that was impossible, people were talking, laughing loudly, eating, and even playing games such as Quidditch (which always is very loud), he was all of sudden very noise sensitive. He closed his eyes very tightly and imagined himself sitting on his bed in his room. Suddenly, all the noise and sound disappeared, his eyes sprang open, and he realized that he was where he had just imagined. He closed his eyes again and tried once again, but without success. He fell back on his bed and opened the book. It felt like only a moment, his door sprang open, and in entered his father, who had a strange facial expression; he looked very happy, but he had big rolling tears in his eyes. Behind Alastair stood the whole family with happy tears in their eyes. He stopped and smiled when he saw Marcus lying on his bed. The only thing that left his lips was, "You did magic!"

Character Name: Kayouz D'Velmorra
School Year or Adult Level: First Year

Reducio
RACE/SPECIAL TALENT: VAMPIRE
Kayouz D'Velmora has always had a natural connection with darkness, with the night, and has always felt more at home in the early hours—especially when it's cold and rainy. From a young age, he felt more awake at night, calmer under the moonlight, as if the silence of that dawn whispered comforts hidden by the day. Extremely intelligent, strategic, and observant, Kayouz has always been someone who thinks several steps ahead, and his high self-control goes beyond the ordinary, even when provoked.

Transforming into a vampire wouldn't strip him of his humanity, much less who he is. Quite the contrary, it would reveal who he truly is: a young man thirsty for knowledge, in control of his instincts and feelings, a very cool presence who commands respect wherever he goes. Being a vampire doesn't make him a monster, but it will amplify what he's always been: someone who observes in the dark, acts with precision, and keeps his humanity at a razor's edge.

Vampirism isn't a frill for Kayouz; it's a layer of complexity. He doesn't need redemption or control; he is control. And that's why the burden, honor, and gift of being a vampire will fit perfectly within his essence.

He never sought the glitter of the crowds; he was always drawn to the backstage, to the silence between words, to the details few see. He learned early on that power lies not in shouting, but in presence. His steps are calculated, his actions measured. As a vampire, this translates even more powerfully: he acts not on impulse, but on strategy. His every move carries purpose.

Kayouz doesn't romanticize his condition. He sees his vampirism as a burden few could bear with honor. He doesn't want to cause terror; he wants control, rest, and above all, lucidity above the darkness. He's the type who doesn't surrender to the savagery of the curse: he tames it. And it's precisely this awareness that makes him different.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Kayouz D'Velmora was born on July 7, 2014, in London, England. On a rainy night, with lightning, fog, and the cold causing terror.
Born the only child of a pureblood wizarding family of obscure origins, he was raised surrounded by secret portraits that only moved when no one was looking and books that whispered in ancient languages.

Kayouz carries something within him. Beyond magic, he carries an ancient echo; he seems to have lived many times before. His eyes are deep, his speech restrained. He does not seek good; he does not seek evil.

Like souls trapped between worlds, their power echoes a heavy, dark secret, an ancient curse that runs through the family's veins from generation to generation, shrouding them in an aura of mystery and terror.

His maternal grandmother raised him, a stern and always silent witch. Whenever he asked about his parents, she avoided the conversation. Because Kayouz's parents had been killed shortly after his birth. The reason? Murdered.

Kayouz always tried to find out how his parents died, when, where... but one day, rummaging through his home library, he found a note among old books, written:
"If something happens to us, the boy needs to know: we were betrayed by someone we never expected."

FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC:
One time, around the age of seven, while staying at her house, he decided to ask his grandmother how his parents had died again. She then lost her temper with the boy and scolded him, telling him not to ask again. Kayouz lost his temper when a strong wind blew open the window, causing the paintings and books on the table to fall. His grandmother's jaw dropped, and he was terrified. The boy then ran to his room and apologized to his grandmother.

Vivi Grace was born on May 7, 2014, in Harlow, England. She's the only child of John and Sarah Grace. Her dad, John, comes from an old pure blood family called Grace, but they were actually supporting Muggle-borns, which was pretty rare with purebloods. He was super ambitious and became a reputable Auror at the Ministry of Magic. Vivi's mom, Sarah, was a Muggle Born, meaning no wizards in her family before her. Sarah is really smart and curious, and she works as a part-time Healer with her own clinic in Diagon Alley.
Even though her parents are busy with their magical jobs, they always found time for Vivi. She didn't have any brothers or sisters, so she was their main focus. Before she turned eleven, Vivi went to a regular Muggle school called St. Francis in England. It helped her learn basic stuff, and she was a really good student there, never causing any trouble. For the first five years, Vivi didn't show any magic. Her family started to worry she might be a Squib, which is someone born to magical parents but doesn't have magic themselves. But then, when she turned six, something amazing happened! She was helping her mom in the garden and tripped on a rock. Suddenly, the grass on the lawn grew tall and thick, making a soft cushion so she wouldn't get hurt when she fell. It was her first time doing magic, and everyone was so happy she was okay and that she finally showed her magical abilities.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
While she didn't show instances of magic for 5 years her family thought that she maybe a squib. But when she turned 6, she startled her parents by performing wonderful magic. Her first instance was while helping her mother in the garden. Her mother asked her to fetch the watering can from the table in the greenhouse. She ran inside, took it from the table and came running back. While she was running she tripped on a rock. That was when the grass on the lawn grew tall and dense and prevented any injury to her when she fell down. This accident made the family rejoice both that she was not hurt and that she had showed her steps towards Magic.

Ripley Cunning was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, and spent the first three years of his life there before his half-muggle mother, lifestyle journalist and television presenter, Jenna Cunning and wizard father, enchanted robe designer Obsidian Cunning, transitioned the family to a more nomadic lifestyle. While his formal schooling has been intermittent at best, Ripley's parents have been conscientious about covering core subjects by hiring private tutors for Ripley and his younger sister, Darren, as well as making educational experiences a core part of their lifestyle. For Ripley, however, a core part of his learning has been flitting between the muggle and wizarding worlds around globe which taught him the social physics of how to be liked wherever goes. His slightly above-average height, athletic build, wavy blond hair, and piercing green eyes don't hurt in this regard.

Ripley is self-possessed and adventurous, tending towards action over analysis. He looks people in the eye, speaks confidently and articulately, and comes across as authentic which leads others to trust and listen to him. That said, almost no one get beyond the surface with Ripley. His parents, who are both public personalities, have always made a definite distinction between their public and private personas, and their kids took that on as well, keeping a portion of themselves reserved from strangers. This duality mostly hasn't been challenging for Ripley since he has rarely been anywhere long enough to form close friendships.

In many ways, Ripley is a normal boy. He enjoys playing sports, performing on stage as a singer and actor, and muggle movies. In other ways, he is unusual -- two examples would be that his appearance has not-once been described as "beautiful" and he's been to more places at 11 than some people could name.

While for many, attendance at Hogwarts is a landmark event, Ripley's panoply of experiences makes it feel as more of a stopping point for him. Will it become something deeper? Time will tell.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio

Ripley has adored his younger sister, Darren, since the day she was born. Though only two-and-a-half at the time, he was determined to be a conscientious big brother and protector. For her first few years, Darren was a reasonably quiet child, so when she spoke it was considered special. On one mid-winter afternoon in January 2018 when Ripley was four and Darren was going on two, they were strolling hand-in-hand through a grove of bare cherry trees surrounding Birr Castle in Ireland with their parents when Darren turned to Ripley and said, apropos of nothing, "I love you."

Young Ripley was so overwhelmed with affection that he felt he could not contain it, he closed his eyes as they filled with tears of joy -- suddenly, the cherry trees surrounding them, in a period of minutes, went from cold and craggy to full April bloom. As Ripley opened his eyes and calmed down, the brilliant white blossoms fell away, tossed by the wind.

His parents gave each other a meaningful look.

- Your first instance of accidental magic seems VERY intentional, please make edits, this cannot be intentional but rather by accident or done unintentionally. It reads to me as if he were practically imperio'ing someone without casting imperio, like he wanted to control or stop someone. It was not accidental.
---- "Very occasionally when he was bullied in school or on their travels, a bully would be close to hitting him and Ripley would persuade or 'command' (one might say) him to stop."

Tabitha grew up as the middle child in the large pureblood family of the Murrey's. She lived on the same large property as the father's side of the family with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, along with her siblings. The rest of her extended family made many appearances in her life in yearly galas and the winter getaways she got at the family cabin with her mother's side of the family. As a middle child, she had plenty of attention not on her which led to many adventures with her older family members. As well as numerous occasions where she got to listen in to the familial drama.

Eleanore Murrey, Tabitha's mother, works in magical cosmetology with a specialization in cosmetic and beauty transfiguration for high paying clients. She is a hardworking woman, if a bit of a gossip at times, telling tales from work in hushed tones. She is also known to be a bit picky about how tasks are done and the level of perfection to which she hopes for her kids.

Steven Murrey is the editor and occasional writer for a tabloid regarding popular faces and celebrities in the wizarding word. He doesn't share the same love for gossip as his wife, even though his work brings about so much naturally. He was found, through Tabitha's childhood, in his office, hard at work with stacks of pages covered in red markings.

As a family, Eleanore and Steven attempted to keep their work lives separate from their lives at home, though they still struggled to prioritize their time with their kids. Thankfully it was not as much of a problem since Tabby and the rest of her siblings always had other hands to help take care of her and fill in the position when work kept their parents further from them.

Overall Tabitha's childhood was one of good memories, despite the undertones of societal pressure as a pureblood family. Thankfully, the darker sides were hidden from her as a child and her memories are bright and full of joy.
First Instance of Magic:

On the night of a spring gala, seven-year-old Tabitha remembered being rather distressed that the dress which had been picked out for her was a color she thought was a nasty shade of light blue. Though somehow, and much to her parents delight, the dress changed color as she walked into the ballroom to a deep magenta. The rest of the night was filled with the excited chatter that accompanied any pureblood family being confirmed their youngest was a wizard.

Tabitha, however, was rather disappointed when her older cousin James explained to her that she wouldn't be able to change any of her colors at her whim and it was a one-time thing. Though she fulfilled her fantasy by asking her parents to buy her several colors of the same outfit so she could pretend to replicate the instance many more times during dress-up.

Maximus was born and raised on the outskirts of Rye England. He spent alot of time exploring wooded areas for his beloved birds and nice areas to practice his music. One fateful day during a particular good jam session he notices a small sleak black raven observing him. After a few other encounters, this little beautiful fellow became Maximus's new cherished friend and pet. Taking inspiration from one of his mother's muggle history books the raven became known as Loki. A fitting name because Loki was mischievous creature always taking any shiney interesting object he could find. Sadly for the pair Maximus's parents decided Loki would not be attending Hogwarts with him.

At the age of 5 a very determined young Maximus executed a masterful jailbreak from his distracted mother. Making his way down to a nearby wooded area an unknown beautiful bird drew his attention. After multiple attempts to coax the bird closer the frustrated boy climbed up for a closer look. Half way up a branch snaps and down comes poor Maximus but instead of crashing down painfully the boy hovered feet from ground. This random act of levitation saved our little hero and was his first magic feat.

The Delarosa family’s entrance into Japan occurred somewhere during the early 20th century. Opportunities for muggle, Filipino immigrants were limited in Japan. Bituin and Alon Delarosa moved to Osaka along with their twin daughters: Althea and Angela.

Delarosa Grill was founded by Bituin and Alon in 1946 at the start of the Japanese economic boom. The restaurant served mainly Filipino cuisine which satisfied an otherwise-empty market in Kyoto at the time. The restaurant continued in their ownership for nearly a decade (until 1954) before Alon, unfortunately, passed away, taking his expertise with him. Althea and Angela were 26 at that point and had been working in Delarosa Grill since its founding. However, they could not replicate the success the restaurant had under their parents' ownership. Delarosa Grill nearly closed several times but stayed open by a hanging thread.

In 1958, Althea’s marriage estranged her from her sister and the restaurant. Her husband of choice was a rich businessman from the Sentou family line. She moved to Tokyo and was not heard from again, causing further negative impacts on the restaurant.

Angela was married the year after Althea left to the new head chef of Delarosa Grill. They had three sons, Juan (b. 1960), Cesar (b. 1965), and Gabriel (b. 1967), all of whom grew up well with regular muggle abilities. All three of the kids were obedient in certain respects: they did well in school, did not cause trouble, and went on to help out with the family business. Yet, at the same time, none of them truly benefited Delarosa Grill more than the average employee.

Kyle, the fourth son of Angela, was different from the rest. He was born 10 years after Gabriel in the year 1977 and, when he was 5 years old, he had a rather explosive tantrum— literally. With each toddler shout, another flame latched onto the Delarosa residence, engulfing it slowly until the outburst died down. This was the first of several unfortunate incidents where. Without wishing or intending for anything to happen, the youngest child’s uncontrolled emotions elicited problematicly tangible reactions from the environment around him. He was the problem child of the lot, as his mother would call him. It was a wonder he was even related to his brothers. Understanding his magical talents came near his 7th birthday. Soon enough, the storm petrels took him to Makhoutokoro for the first time.

Kyle Delarosa neither excelled nor floundered in his studies. His robes remained a consistent shade of rosy pink throughout the years with little fluctuation. The prejudices against both muggle-borns, as he was considered, and non-Japanese people held him back in a socially intense environment. It did not help that he wasn’t an outspoken kid. He was often left eating lunch in the corner alone, isolated from his wealthier, more well-adapted peers.

Because of this, Kyle was more than eager to leave school after the obligatory years were over. He did not believe himself to be capable of excelling in any of the further education paths offered by Makhoutokoro. His 5th year had been a case of near failure on many of his exams. This surely proved that he was incapable of studying more.

The young wizard resigned himself to working in the restaurant with his brothers despite his lack of satisfaction. Despite his magical abilities, he had failed to bring change to the family. They were not as poor as they had been upon arrival in the country but still uncomfortably near the poverty line. Delarosa Grill was in operation but much of its renown had faded over the years. He was worthless unless he took action.

Kyle came to a realization through this. Unlike blood status or ethnicity, financial status was changeable. He, as the only non-retired magic user in the family, was capable of it. It was in the year 2000 that Kyle first began his research on producing viable scam products. His line of home potions was crafted in the back of Delarosa Grill's storage room. There were several variants although they were all variants of the same malpractice scam: a potion said to cure a given ailment that, instead, worsens the condition. Then, the buyer was encouraged to buy more of the offending product as their problem has not yet been solved.

Surprisingly or not, the scheme worked. He became rich and it was by these illicit means that he and his wife, Yuna, a muggle, were able to move around from country to country without limitations. That way, it was less likely that any of the various ministries would catch on to his illegal use of magic.

Unfortunately for criminals, the Ministry of Magic's technologies on magic tracking are quite advanced. Kyle was eventually apprehended hastily by the Ministry of Magic on the morning of February 9th, 2017 at his penthouse in Clifford where he was living with his wife and 4-year-old daughter full-time. The downside of having committed fraud in so many different countries was that it increased his Azkaban sentence by tenfold, ending in 14 years of jail time total.

With her husband absent and nearly of the family assets repossessed, Yuna was without many options. Returning to Japan was out of the question given the shame that her husband’s criminal record would bring. Clifford was rather challenging for a single mother who worked as a hairdresser and did not yet speak fluent English.

Unlike Kyle, Yuna's family was originally Japanese. Her parents resided in an apartment complex in the city of Nagoya with room enough to house both herself and her daughter comfortably.

Maelys grew up with little to no contact to the magical world. She was aware of it, yes, but only in the form of practical "fairytales." It was her best effort to raise a magical child as a muggle. Maelys’s grandparents did not know anything aside from their muggle realities so Yuna was left with the responsibility of preparing Mae for Hogwarts. She told stories from the remnants of what Kyle had informed her of regarding wizard life. It was not much to work with, covering only the information that did not breach the Statute of Secrecy. However, in a world that demonized Kyle Delarosa, it was important to Yuna for Maelys to love and appreciate him as much as she did.

Maelys was a well-rounded student throughout her time at Nagoya International School. The young witch managed to integrate with her classmates despite her relative introversion. It helped that Mae was a polite, amicable girl. She brought snacks for her friends and offered to help when others were struggling in class. Maelys did her best to fit in although she was never popular. She was more of the class president type, with a good academic and behavioral record. (Mae was class president. Several times, actually, as her teacher and classmates trusted her. )

That was not enough for Maelys. She was the type of kid with an insatiable curiosity, hell-bent on winning and pleasing others yet surprisingly hard to please. She worked hard as a "muggle," studying and making friends as if this was her permanent reality, but every night she dreamed of magic and fairytales. 11th birthday… Maelys knew that much. Her father had told her mother when he left, who, consequently, informed her of the date on which she would be contacted by a Hogwarts staff member, or so she hoped. The pair moved back to Cardiff the summer before Mae's 11th birthday as they were instructed. Given her father’s record, there was always the possibility it was a lie. She could only wait to find out.

FIOM:
Maelys was approximately 3 and a half and, by her definition, that made her a big kid. She sat with her legs sprawled out on the cool marble of their Cardiff residence's kitchen. Her mother and father were conversing quietly in the living room, leaving the young girl very much unsupervised. She pulled herself to a stand using a drawer handle.

Mae had been walking independently for a long time at this point so she stepped forward confidently. What was in the drawers? The young witch was tall for her age but could not yet see at counter-height. She knew her mother was keeping a cake on that shelf. Her hands were just a few inches short of reaching it.

The idea clicked into her brain quickly, gaze resting on the drawer handles. Ever so carefully, Maelys put her right foot onto the lowest one. Then her left. Suddenly, Mae was just a grab away from reaching the chocolate cake. Her foot slipped, twisting under her weight. She should have fallen directly to the floor, making a large, incriminating bang as she fell. That did not happen. Maelys' limbs seemed to figure themselves out as she landed gently on her feet with no more than a small bump. Maybe she shouldn't climb any more counters...

  • According to our site lore, Magic schools are free for all those attuned to it. In addition, If Althea's parents can not afford private tutors, the Japanese school (Mahoutokoro) provides day classes for all students, even those aged 7 along with transportation arranged by the school. While your idea of a magically attuned kid not attending magic school is a fun premise, it breaks the site lore and we can not allow that. Please change this part.
  • There are no muggle-wizarding regions. There's a statue of secrecy and these two different parts of world do not mix or overlap in a way you're trying to suggest. The two sides remain completely separated from each other. Magic does not work around electricity and electricity does not work well with magic.
  • We need more details on how and why Hyeol was left permanently blinded, he's a wizard and wizard kind provides free medical aid and even the most gruesome of injuries are healed with in hours.
  • A restaurant established in the wizarding world can not suddenly turn into a muggle establishment.
  • Money can't be replicated or in any way be interacted with in such a manner, there are heavy charms on them. Please find a different crime. Additionally, all spells leave a trace and can be easily found. Kyle would not survive fraud for that long.
  • Your application is missing any mentions of your character coming back to UK after leaving for Japan since their father's arrest. You can not attend Hogwarts if your residence isn't in UK.
  • As implied by your writing so far, Maelys lives in the muggle world, in which case a professor would arrive at her door with the letter. Not just a letter akin to what wizard-borns or Purebloods get.

Character Backstory:
Lilith is born in London. Her father is a muggle, but her mother was from a ancient and respected family of pure-blood. Her parents' relationship was very short and kept discreet as her mother didn't want her family to know she was seeing a muggle. When she got pregnant, she left him as her family whished when they found out about her expecting a child. Lilith bears her father's name because her mother insisted on it, but has been raised in her mother's family, like a pure blood child. Her father was never in the picture. Unfortunatly, she was frowned upon by a huge part of her family who didn't accept the fact that she was the daughter of a muggle and refused to let her wear the family's name, thing that she didn't quite understand when she was a child, since she was raised by her mother's family without any contact with the muggle world. As she grew up though, she started to understand and she decided to stay away from anything that could be related to the muggle world, forever. Lilith's mother didn't talk about her history with Lilith's father, but she made sure Lilith knew she had her place in the family. For several years, the young girl didn't understand how her mother could have betrayed the family by falling in love with a muggle. Then, as she had to grow up being the perfect little heir, always held to higher expectations than the others because she was half-blooded, she started to understand what her mother lived, how it must have felt to break the rules and taste some freedom. Secretly, she admires her mother for it. Nevertheless, Lilith never lets herself fantazise about freedom of rebellion, scared she might actually want to reject her family's way of life.
As a reaction to her family's perpetual contempt, Lilith developed a hunger for recognition and is eager to prove herself and show her family that she is the heir they need.

First instance of magic:
The first instance of magic in Lilith's life happened when she was 5. She was on a boat, travelling with her family, when a storm started. The boat was rocking from side to side, and all the fourniture started moving in the cabin. Lilith was absolutly terrified. To try and forget the storm that was raging around her, she was staring at a bouquet of daffodils on the fireplace mantel. The bright color of the flowers distracted her and allowed her to forget the storm that was raging around her. When, after an especially violent jolt, the vase and the flowers fell, Lilith squeezed her eyes shut. Confused because she didn't hear the vase shattering on the floor of the cabin, she slowly opened her eyes. The vase and the flowers were floating in the air.
