I see people referencing how they can 'fail the grade' or 'go down a grade' and I don't get it lol

grade, as in score/marks, not school year.

metamorph does not really have a substantial effect on systems like duelling or quidditch unless you are a third-year because only then can you fully replicate another's appearance. opponents would likely suffer the chance of targeting the wrong person.

@Lucia Fox In America, you can, like, not pass a year and have to stay back in that one year instead of moving forward with everyone else your age. I think that's what you're talking about... maybe not? Lol
