Good coding definitely will play a part in getting more people. But I think activity is a good way to keep people signing up.

It does! Definitely try a bit later if there's a (long) waitlist since spells are very important. I do know of First Year duellists, but they're the ones who do their homework, too. I originally wanted to do broom racing but the current roster looks as if they'll be on for a while and duelling wasn't a bad second choice.
By activity, I mean people seeing it on the front page of the Clans and Clubs forum. From personal experience, I tried to join clubs that were still active a few months before. Of course, no guarantees that it'll always be like that but I think it's a good way to make sure new people know the club is still running.

Since I need the money, I try to do 3ish homework’s per month, so that my house can win, sadly we won’t this month.
