Deadlines Approaching – iNPC Spell & Potion Transfers

Just a reminder that June 30 is the final day to submit for an iNPC and have your PC's spells and potions transferred. After this date, iNPCs will still be available for creation, but they will not receive any spells or potions from your main character. These will need to be earned through classwork or purchase moving forward.

Additionally, the temporary eligibility exception allowing users under 6 months to create an iNPC will end tomorrow. Starting July 1, the standard requirement will return: you must have been on the same account for at least 6 months to be eligible to create an iNPC.

If you plan to take advantage of these opportunities, please act now!

Deadlines Approaching – Graduation & Homework Points

As we wrap up this stage of the iNPC transition project, here are some important deadlines to keep in mind:

• June 30 is the final day to receive House Points for homework submitted from the previous school year.
• You may still complete previous year assignments after June 30, but you will only earn the spells, not House Points.
• Current year assignments will continue to award House Points as usual.

Graduation will begin on July 1. Admin will begin graduating eligible students over the next few days. (Anticipated July 1 - 6.)

Remember:

• To make sure that your character is registered with the Index.
• You have contacted your Head of House if you wish to be held back.

It is already the last minute—double-check your registration and reach out if needed!

Final Reminder. In just under 12 hours, it will be July 1 according to the time this site runs on. The deadline July 1 applies to graduation (applications to register to Index), early iNPC application (after this time you will need to wait until you have been on your account for at least 6 months), house points for completing HW in previous years (you will only earn house points for HW done in your present year, but may contionue to do HW to obtain spells and for your own sake).

Adult Jobs Now Open

Applications for Adults Jobs are now open. You can apply here. They will close on 31st August, so please complete any forms by then. There are a few exceptions this year and some changes due to the transition project.

I haven't done my job threads, when can I do them by?
You can complete your job threads until 31st August. Please only post AFTER you've met the criteria of 3 job threads. If you haven't met it, the post will be denied.

I completed my OWLs/NEWTs on my PC account, do I have to redo them for my iNPC?
Yes. Your iNPC will need to complete any required OWLs/NEWTs on their own account. No you cannot copy-paste them, you do have to redo them entirely.

However, we will be giving you an one time extension on this. Normally, you have to have them by the time you apply. This year (due to the transition project and sudden changes), we will allow you to apply for your iNPC job as long as you have met the prerequisite on your PC. You will then have one year to complete those OWLs/NEWTs again on your iNPC account. You will not be able to move up next year if you have not completed them.

I don't want to do the OWLs/NEWTS on my iNPC, is there something else I can do?
Yes. You can apply to be a Librarian Aide for this year, complete your three job threads and earn three OWLs & matching NEWTS of your choice on completion. This is now a job that can be held by both accounts. You will get the OWLs/NEWTS on the account that completes the role only. (If both are librarian aides, you will get it on both).

I just graduated in July. If I apply for an Entry level job in July, complete my 3 job threads, can I apply for Intermediate before end of August?
No. You can only apply for one role in the year.

I've completed Librarian Aide, what do I do now?!
Post in the linked thread with the form, specifying which three subjects you want and linking to your job threads. Once it is approved, you can submit the relevant OWLs/NEWTs with your name and a link to the approved post. Please do not do this until it is approved. You may then post your new job via a new form in the same thread.

Advancement Program Now Open

Applications for the Advancement Program are now open. You can apply here. They will close on 31st August, so please complete any forms by then.

Who can apply?
Any character that has been IC held back and had that reasoning approved by index. This means your character is currently on the index and is currently in a year lower than they would have been if they remained an active part of Index consistently.

Who cannot apply?
This cannot be used by any characters that are already at their intended year. This cannot be used twice in one year by a user who deactivates/reactivates an old character.

iNPC Spells

The deadline to receive a copy of your PC’s spells on your iNPC account has now passed. Players may still create new iNPCs; however, spells must now be earned through lesson completion or purchased in the shop.

iNPC Creation Policy Reinstated
We have returned to our standard policy:

To create an iNPC, your main account must have at least 6 months of consistent activity on the site. This ensures that iNPCs remain a feature for established and engaged community members.

Trunk Spell & Potion Tracking
This includes iNPC Trunks. We are no longer updating spell or potion lists in user trunks. From now on, it is each player’s responsibility to maintain an accurate and current record of what spells and potions their character knows or owns.

While event moderators or sport captains may still request to see these lists, they will be player-maintained and subject to verification. Misrepresentation will be taken seriously.

It's the end of the month, which means graduation! This is another reminder that this is a manual process - it may take the Heads of House a couple days to start/finish. Some houses may be graduated before/after others because of our schedules. Please do not panic when you see someone else has been moved up but you haven't. That said, you can apply for graduation stats and abilities when your specific profile title says that you have yeared up.

During graduation, admin will also be removing any sports roles and house roles from our recently graduated adults. If any of these roles are still needed to complete a sport, please owl your Head of House.

Also a reminder that a graduation ceremony thread will be posted in the next week or so (set IC on June 29th), so keep an eye out for that! There will also be a special graduates-only lake thread set IC on June 30th hosted by our Caretaker!

iNPC Graduations Have Been Completed

All iNPCs have been graduated to the next year. If your account was overlooked, please reach out so we can graduate your character.

There are several members that have not created their iNPC account, an owl has been sent to them to remind them to make their iNPC. There is a hard deadline of Sept 1 for creating an iNPC account if you have an existing iNPC. Failure to do so would result in the account being considered inactive and removed from the school roster. To RP with an iNPC, your character needs to be considered 'active' and listed on the school roster.

Summer sports are requiring an iNPC account for participation.

To celebrate the long-overdue inclusion of Part-Beings across all magical schools, this summer camp's committee has gone all out in hiring the Gragnok & Sons carnival company for a Spectacular Carnival-Themed summer camp that is sure to inspire lasting memories.

All students were sent a package of goodies ahead of the Summer Camp so that they would know what to expect.

Highlights of the Fair Days include: access to goblin-made carnival rides, fair foods from across the globe, the yearly Welcome Feast, our Petting Zoo of magical creatures, an Arts & Fair Expo, a Granian Derby, the Amortunnel ride for a romantic (or not) blind (or not) date, Carnival Games, and a Fireworks Spectacular to finish it all off.

So be sure to check your Itinerary for those events that interest you most! Sign-Ups for events requiring them are now OPEN. Links can be found in the Itinerary.

Furthermore, Tent Sign-Ups are also OPEN! To keep things simple, we have followed the same format as last year. You must live in a tent, but Sign-Up is optional as long as your still follow the outlined rules and themes.
