Aidens childhood couldn't be considered rough, but it was definitely not the best. His mother died when he was only 6 years old. It was a work accident. Before her death, she worked as a curse breaker and her sudden death was caused due to a cursed object gone wrong. From then on, he was to be raised with his aunt. Life before that was decent even if his parents were divorced. His mother loved him fiercly. His dad... well he tried, until the boy started showing signs of magic and it kind of freaked him out. It's debatable whether he knew that his ex-wife was a witch at the time they were together. If he wanted to know he would have to ask him, and he can't ask his mom. Currently, he doesn't have any contact with his dad since his father is a bad person. He's all kind of 'phobic' and judgemental towards other people, as well as an alcoholic. Not the best influence on a young boy like Aiden. The man only reaches out to his son and ex-wife's sister when he wants something from them, usually money, and Adrian isn't planning on visiting him ever now when his Hogwarts letter arrived. Spending the year away at boarding school is kind of a saving grace. And since he lives with his aunt during the summers, he doesn't have to see the man at all now. His hobbies are a secret he guards fiercely. He paints, and paints well—often when he can’t sleep, or when feelings bubble up. He doesn’t talk about it. Not even to his closest friends.

ReducioVictoria Blythe had the kind of childhood that looked perfect from the outside—quiet, orderly, and proper. But behind the grand halls of the Blythe family estate was a life shaped by rules, silence, and pressure. As the only child of an old pure-blood family, she was expected to embody perfection in everything she did. Her parents, Walter and Olivia Blythe, never raised their voices, but their expectations were sharp enough to sting. Her father, in particular, believed in discipline over affection, pride over comfort. Her mother was gentler, more composed, but still held Victoria to an impossible standard.
From the time she could read, Victoria was surrounded by books—ancient spellbooks, history tomes, and theory scrolls far too advanced for most children. She devoured them all. Not because she wanted to impress anyone, but because it was one of the only things she was allowed to do. She wasn’t permitted to go out alone, have sleepovers, or make many friends. Everything she learned about people came from stories.
With her long, wavy brown hair and pale blue doe eyes, Victoria looked like a porcelain doll—still, silent, and fragile. But she wasn’t fragile. She had learned to keep her emotions tucked away behind a cool gaze and soft voice. She rarely smiled, but when she did, a single dimple appeared on her cheek—an unexpected flicker of warmth in an otherwise distant expression. That dimple was like a secret; not many had seen it.
Despite how cold she seemed to others, Victoria was deeply kind. She just didn’t know how to show it yet. She was the kind of person who listened closely when others spoke, who noticed things most people missed, who silently remembered every kindness shown to her. She didn’t speak much—not because she had nothing to say, but because she'd been taught that silence was safer.
When her Hogwarts letter arrived, she wasn’t surprised. She had been preparing for it her whole life. But what did surprise her was how much she hoped for something more. For friendship. For independence. For the chance to figure out who she was outside of her family name.
Her first instance of magic happened when she was 9, she was sitting in the library of Blythe Manor, feeling overwhelmed by all the books she couldn’t reach. As she sighed and rested her head on the table, a book suddenly fell from the top shelf and landed in front of her — the exact one about basic spells. She thought it was just a coincidence and didn’t give it much thought, only mentioning it briefly to her parents over dinner.[/reducio][/i]

Milo is son of Barbara Lopez (Brazilian) and Maximus Harrigton (Irish); he was born two hours after his older twin, Wyatt, who was unfortunately born with a respiratory condition and weakness on the muscles, which made his parents have to spend a lot of money on treatments and be overprotective with him. Even with all the complications, Milo and Wyatt were really close brothers as they grew up, although the older twin was more comfortable staying at home with his books while the younger one loved to spend his time running around parks.
Once, when they were both six years old, Wyatt had his first instance of magic in the middle of a tantrum, which made the entire bookshelf fall down into the floor, but also made him faint, needing to be brought immediately to a hospital. His condition worsened as a consequence of the first show of his magic; Wyatt wouldn't leave the hospital until his death, months later. It was a dark time for the small family of one son and two parents, the death of the older twin always a ghost in their lives; even so, that didn't stop Milo from growing.
For all his school years, he studied in a public school of Westport and, because of his sunny personality, he is friends with everyone in his classroom, even the gloomy students; However, he has a best friend, Hiroshi Ito, a shy Japanese boy who went to live in Ireland with his mother soon after Wyatt's death.
Milo's parents got divorced when he was eight, and he's living with his father in his childhood home, since his mother's job makes it necessary for her to travel for months. It was stressful in the start, having only two people in a four-seat table, but the young boy slowly learned to deal with it all. Even so, the four years that passed since his parents' divorce didn't make it any less hurtful, though he doesn't want to trouble his father, so he makes sure the man can't notice how he feels about it.

Milo's magic first showed when his parents told him about the divorce when he was eight years old; since the death of his brother, he grew a fear of losing more of the precious people in his life, which made him freak out at the news. Unconsciously, his magic surrounded the room and made the table where they were seated at tremble until everything over it -plates, glasses, flower vase - ended on the floor. Instead of being scared, his parents worried since Wyatt, Milo's older brother, died a few days after he had a similar freak out. The rest of the night was spent at a hospital, where Milo's parents made sure the young boy was healthy.

Rigel's family, the McCoires, are a very large family of Purebloods. He has an older brother and sister, Orion and Andromeda; as well as a twin sister, Aoife. Two children predeceased all the surviving siblings. Before Hogwarts, Rigel and Aoife attended the small Altnaharra School where they learned all their early lessons. This is a small privately run wizarding prep school in the Scottish Highlands catering the magical families of the region. These lessons included how to tame the siblings' natural rivalry. They were ever at odds when they were kids and their rivalry lasted all through Hogwarts. Aoife was the Gryffindor; Rigel was the Ravenclaw. Even so, it was a very unwise cousin or schoolmate who tried to play one off the other. Such a fool would soon find himself with two wands jammed into his face as the twins closed ranks!
Their motto growing up was Never Mess With Kin!
Rigel's younger sister, Moira, is really the last sibling he paid much attention to. There was a several year gap between her and what Rigel always thought of "that pack little brats". That pack of little brats, naturally, includes the likes of Colin and Liam, Alex and Angus, Ciarán, little Aoife and, as if Ma and Da didn't already have a bunch of kids, the adopted darling of the bunch, Lily McCoire. Lily claims to the least sus of the gang --- that remains to be determined!
After leaving Hogwarts, Rigel spent some time travelling whilst honing his duelling skills. He never joined a professional team, but did and continues to enjoy the sport at an amateur level. His talents with astrology in particular led him to work with a variety of astronomical and astrological societies in Europe, South Africa and New Zealand. Upon returning to the U.K. in 2023, Rigel worked with his sister Aoife for a time in the Aurors Office before setting off on an adventure with an old school mate in 2024.
Of course, upon hearing that Professor Starwise was planning to retire, his mother would just have to suggest that he take employment at Hogwarts. A "most prestigious institution of learning" she called it. An "advantageous position" she called it. Given that at least three of that pack of little brats were now at Hogwarts, plus some ancillary cousins, Rigel did not quite see the prestigious advantage this transition would be as much a stint as a glorified baby sitter. Nevertheless, he was intrigued enough (or perhaps intoxicated enough) to see it as a way to engage in his passion for the stars.

Rigel was four when his magic first made itself known. His older siblings, Orion and Andromeda, being five at the time, thought that it would be a grand idea to tease their little brother by bursting into the bathroom where he was practicing washing his hands before supper. He was certainly used to their pranks, but this one left its mark! Orion burst through the door first and kicked the nice wooden stool Rigel was standing on to reach the water taps.
He turned to holler at Orion when Andromeda burst in right behind him, with some black thing in her hand. It was a raven. And it was dead and flopped about in her hand and she screamed like a banshee! She threw it, feathers floating about in every direction and poor creature splattered right in Rigel's face!
Rigel hollered!
Aoife came running in!
Rigel had no idea what happened but just then the toilet bowl spewed its entire content of water all over Andromeda and Orion! The two older twins ran screeching from the bathroom! Aoife ran screeching from the bathroom! And poor Rigel crumpled onto the stool crying because he was certain he'd end up in trouble for the mess!

The Lancaster line of pure-bloods was a long, winding, meandering line that continually mingled with most of the other pure-blood families in Britain. As such, by the late 1890s, they had resorted to marrying well-to-do wizard-borns, or otherwise pure-bloods not from Britain, to avoid inbreeding. However, they were well-exposed to all sorts of interesting wizarding genetics. Some of their cadet branches have had some renowned seers and even the occasional metamorphmagus when the right families married.
What the family of Slytherin-house heritage was most proud of, though, was its propensity for Parselmouths. The history of Parselmouths in the Lancaster family went back as far as anyone could remember, and they were certainly not loath to boast of it. If a generation of Lancasters went by without any Parselmouths, it was seen as a disappointment, as a result of poor breeding.
Thus, when Tarquin Lancaster, famed Parselmouth, Basilisk tamer and Obliviator, got married, everyone in the family was on the edge of their seats, metaphorically. Of course, Cressida Livingstone was wonderfully bred and was known as an extremely capable duellist, but would she be good enough for the Lancasters?
There was hardly anything to worry about. Their only daughter, Jessamine, made the most of her lonely time in the Lancaster manor sitting in the gardens and making friends with various aspects of nature: trees, flowers, grass—and most importantly, snakes.
Most Lancasters first had their talent surface when talking to a dangerous snake. It was family tradition to purposefully expose children to vipers, cobras and mambas, at the very least, in order to truly gauge their talent. Jessamine, however, found herself discussing the weather with garter snakes as a youth. By the time she was eight and her parents introduced her to the rattlesnake that would eventually become her first pet, she had made much progress in the talent of conversing with serpents, and she and Snakespeare hit it off from the start. As she was eight upon formally adopting him, he lived with her for most of her life, even going so far as to almost scare off her future husband when the two first met.
After learning more of the darker history of Parselmouths, Jessamine vowed to never delve into dark magic like so many of her family members, hoping to find a way to use her talents for a more wholesome and helpful existence. She instead continued to observe snakes and their venom, especially during her graduate schooling, for the medicinal properties it might have; Snakespeare remained her closest confidante until 2013, when he died of old age.
Jessamine was rather disappointed by Snakespeare’s death, but she continued to be unashamed of her genetic ability, and she would often have conversations with small, harmless snakes in her family’s garden. Unlike her parents, she has neglected to expose her children to very dangerous snakes, although sometimes, when Camellia is out in the garden by herself, she seems almost as if she is speaking to someone else… but whether she carries the Parselmouth gene is something Jessamine wants her to discover or state naturally, without it being forced.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Jessamine was born to two upstanding members of pure-blood society, Cressida and Tarquin Lancaster, on the 28th of September. She grew up just outside of Pangbourne and had an upbringing that was relatively isolated from the outside world—it was just Jessamine, her tutors and her house-elves, and occasionally her parents when they were not busy. To say she was spoiled would be an understatement; she grew up with everything she could even think to ask for easily given to her—at least, that was the truth for material goods.
In truth, Jessamine had yearned for knowledge. She had read most of the books in her family’s manor from front-to-back countless times, and, bored out of her mind from the lack of stimulation that re-reading brought her, she asked one of her family’s house-elves, Rocky, to take her into town.
He said no.
It was the first time Jessamine had ever not been given something that she asked for. Perhaps surprisingly, the spoiled child had taken it gracefully to Rocky’s face—she had smiled and said, ‘Oh, that’s okay!’. But the next afternoon, when her parents and the house-elves were preparing for a gala later in the evening, she took advantage of the commotion to sneak out. She was back in time to get ready and be the most perfect, poised pure-blooded daughter, but tucked underneath her bed were some Muggle treats and as many books as she had been able to purchase with a wad of quid she’d found dropped at a park.
Thus began Jessamine’s carefully-hidden rebellious streak. Through the books she borrowed, she delved into learning about the wizarding punk rock music scene as well as underground activism movements. She read philosophy books as if they were a lifeline. She even read about Muggle history in addition to the magical history she’d been taught by her tutors. Through learning with an open mind, she learned humility, patience, compassion and acceptance of all, not just pure-bloods. It was a sentiment that would have horrified her parents, though, and out of love for them, she did not let any radical opinions slip at dinners and get-togethers.
At Hogwarts, Jessamine was pleased to have the opportunity to continue learning about the world. Although she was often perceived as snobbish due to her outward demeanour, she prided herself on bringing joy and kindness to the school in small ways—something especially important during her first couple years at the school, which were during and immediately after the events of the Second Wizarding War. Even in that oppressive environment, she made a point to check in on those less likely to be okay with the school’s manner of running, and she began to leave treats, money and notes with positive affirmations around the school, a habit that remained with her until she graduated.
After graduating, Jessamine studied psychology at a graduate programme and worked as a travelling psychotherapist and tutor, that way she could learn more about the world she so dearly loved. Whenever she was back in England, she often met up with some of her friends from school to attend demonstrations or petition the Ministry, to varying effect. It was at a pub after one of those demonstrations where she met Leander Carlton, a fellow pure-blood with a penchant for protecting others. He was whimsical where she was bookish, but their hearts were in the same place, and they hit it off, starting to date soon after. They married in 2009 and moved to Windsor to settle down, and their daughter Camellia Carlton-Lancaster was born in 2016. Their son, Roscoe, was born in 2020.
Leander worked as a teacher for magical homeschooling grounds around Windsor and also worked as a chandler on the side. As such, the Carlton-Lancaster household is often filled with cutely-crafted candles; Jessamine’s favourite is the fish-looking candle on Roscoe’s nightstand. Jessamine continued to work as a psychotherapist, but as she remained in England to be closer to her family, she took up foreign language tutoring in particular to help satiate her urge to travel.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Jessamine was not an early bloomer by a long shot. Her parents had been trying to coax a powerful outburst of magic from her starting from the day she turned three, often requesting that the house-elves scare her or otherwise cause her to feel strong emotion. None of it worked.
She was eight, nearly nine, by the time she had her first instance of magic, and it was hardly explosive. She was practising a piano piece for a gala later in the week, and, bored with the repetitive sounds, she tiredly poked at one of the higher keys before slamming her hands onto the keys in exasperation. The sound that came out was not that of a piano, but rather, that of a didgeridoo. Pleased by the change in pace, Jessamine continued to play, this time with a smile on her face.
Although her parents were horrified by what happened to their beloved piano, they were still pleased their daughter had finally shown magic.

Aleks was born in the North of Serbia. His father had no interest in starting a family with his mother, nor acknowledging what he nowadays must consider a ‚random business-trip‘. He thus kept his distance from Aleks. He never met him and barely knows anything about him either, but his mother always claimed that the man held political influence and had more money than he could ever need. How much of this is true, is debatable. All of her letters and requests for financial support remained unanswered.
His Mother herself had no money and due to a lack of education barely any prospects in her home country (Serbia). When Aleks was two years old, she thus immigrated with him to England. Even with the language barrier, the woman managed to find a small low-income job in a magical shop in the city Portsmouth. Aleks has lived in England ever since, and learned the English language in the years that followed. Still, at home, he and his mother speak only Serbian with each other.
Despite hardships, which made only the emotional bond a steady constant, Aleks was never able to build a strong relationship with his mother. He blames stress, the hardships of immigration and financial problems for that distance. But he knows she still provided as much care as she could.
His early education consisted of sparse primary teachings by a neighboring old lady, who looked after him while his mother was at worked. His basic magical foundation came later, through a local preparatory school. Aleks chose to attend it out of his own curiosity and initiative, trying to get out of the dirty apartment once in a while.

Lily was born on 8th December 2012. Her parents are Xander Bennett and Karlie Bennett. She has a sister called Annabel Bennett. No one in her family is magic except for her-she is a muggle born. She lived in the muggle world all her life and didn't know magic existed until she was 9 and didn't properly believe it could be true until she got her hogwarts letter. She lived a reasonably happy life in the muggle world, even though unusual things occasionally happened to her that she could not explain. For some reason, she always won on sports day at muggle school even if she knew that the event was not her strong point and if she wished for something bad to happen to someone, it usually happened. Her sister wasn't magical and she was hugely jealous of Lily's magic. They used to be very close as they both used to mess around with witch dolls and other magical things but now Annabel ignores her quite a lot and calls her a freak. She only started doing that when Lily got her letter and their parents started focusing more on Lily. When she was 6, Lily dreamed every night about being a witch and that witches were real. Then her and her muggle friends started to wish to be witches. They imagined what it would be like to fly on a broomstick and hold a wand and cast spells. Lily also loved to learn new things and loved to read fantasy books about witches and even tried to fly her broom that was used for sweeping. When it didn't work, Lily vowed to herself that one day she would be able to fly. She used to get bullied because when she was asked what she wanted to be when she was older, she just said a witch and everyone laughed and said witches weren't real. However this made her more determined to be one as she was very sure that they did exist. At the time, she wanted to prove it as well so everyone would regret mocking her. At muggle school, Lily was reasonably good at her subjects but sometimes messed around in the classroom because why not? However she is also very sensible and careful.
First instance of magic:

Her first instance of magic was when there was a boy that she hated and he was doing a solo at a talent show in Leeds. He started and he sounded terrible so Lily glared at him, and her eyes started having a burning sensation, and then unexpectedly, his tongue ended up glued to the roof of his mouth and he couldn't talk at all. she was so confused and my parents were really shocked. Lily did this when she was 9 and she knew that she was magic ever since.

Adeline Rose Donnet, born 5th of June 2014 in Guildford, England, is a Half-Blood witch.
Her witch mother is an official at the Ministry Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, as part of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, while her muggle father is an eccentric novelist full of stories. Adeline also has a younger brother.
Adeline has grown up surrounded in equal measures by both magical and muggle children of her age, courtesy to her parents friends and their families, as well as the neighbourhood kids in Guildford. Her mother always cautioned both Adeline and her brother of talking too in-detail about their homelife full of magic and spells with their muggle friends, but occasional slip-ups do still happen.
Once, while leading an "expedition" to find the "wrinkle-tailed hornbeam" (looking for lizards in the nearby overgrown creek), Adeline slipped and fell into the frigid water. With a shout and a splash, Adeline suddenly found herself sitting in one of the highest branches of a nearby elm, to the big astonishment of her accompanying friends and a befuddled neighbour walking their dog. She explained how she had "mastered the skills of a squirrel", which led to the gang spending the next 3 hours attempting to climb the elm the fastest.
The wand of walnut wood and dragon heartstring (24,1 cm, rather bendy) found her in Ollivander's, with a soft "woosh" as she made various piles of wand cases (and almost Mr. Ollivander himself) suddenly spring up into the air, floating some 12 inches off the wooden floor before gently thumping back onto solid ground.
Her mother and her family have all attended Hogwarts before, so Adeline grew up on stories of her mothers and maternal grandparents' wondrous adventures within the halls of the great castle; she couldn't wait to see the turrets, the great grass fields, the living suits of armour, the ghosts and the moving staircases. She practised jumping steps on their own stairs at home, with only a handful of bruises.
She dreams of her years at Hogwarts as a time to discover every spell, jinx and potion vial, as well as the secret passages and hidden rooms the castle holds. She wants to learn every spell she can get her hands on, not just because she’s expected to, but because she genuinely loves the idea of understanding how magic works. She hopes her school years will be full of daring escapades, new friends, and stories worth retelling, maybe even ones her father might write down one day.
She most looks forward to Charms and Care for Magical Creatures.

Adelines very first sign of magic occured at just 5 years old. Furious with her brother for tearing a page from her favorite storybook her father wrote, she screamed, and the pillows in every bedroom in the house exploded in large puffs of feathers, raining down in heaps. “That’s new,” her father muttered. Her mother’s eyes were narrowed and proud.

Lucille is no stranger to the fact that she had a privileged upbringing. Her mother comes from a powerful wizarding family, and is a charming, social woman. When her mother married her father, the family was horrified. They were people of old-fashioned beliefs, and wouldn't have stood for their daughter marrying a wizard of "lower status," much less a Muggle. The family was quick to cut off ties with her, but, as a final dramatic gesture, gave her all the money that had been set aside for her, claiming that any association with her was a blemish upon their name, including her money. Her mother's admirable demeanor meant she excelled professionally and, with the boost she received from her family, albeit out of spite, she was quick to establish herself.
Generational wealth is a powerful thing, and thus, Lucille grew up in a large, sprawling property in the countryside. Their land was private and, aside from the groundskeepers and caretakers, no visitor dared to venture there. They were near Muggle country, and Lucille attended a Muggle school, as her father attempted desperately to teach his children how to do things "without hocus pocus help," as he put it. He loved his wife, but he firmly believed magic was the easy way out, and, at least in the beginning of their lives, he wanted them to learn resilience and "the real world." Of course, her parents' idea of the real world was a posh private school.
As such, Lucille has grown up incredibly sheltered, most of her days spent riding around the estate on horseback, exploring the countryside with her siblings, and sprawled on the ground with a dog or a cat nestled close as she read a book. The people she has met have either liked her, or been slightly afraid of her, as Muggles seemed to have a strange feeling about her mother, and even those who disliked her, didn't dare to act upon it for fear of "that strange woman."
Now, Lucille is incredibly excited to attend Hogwarts. She loves the magical world, and is so excited to explore it, since she never had a chance to be part of it otherwise.

Lucille's first instance of magic was hardly a spectacle; quite unlike most things Lucille is a part of. Lucille was 5 years old, sitting on the couch, excitedly waiting for her favorite TV show to come on. She had always been a child buzzing with excitement, and failed to notice her mother walking by her holding a cup of tea. Her TV show came on, and she squealed in excitement, as children do, and startled her mother. The next thing she knew, burning hot tea spilled on her. Lucille screamed, as her mother hurriedly set the cup down. All of a sudden, the pain dissipated as suddenly as it started. Lucille quietened and touched the tea stain on her clothes. Cold to the touch. At first, she thought her mother had cast a spell, but she had barely had time to react. Her mother confirmed it for her. "Lu, I think you just did some magic," she said with a warm smile.

The Pollux family had been in circulation in the magical world for a few centuries, maintaining the image of a well-behaved and open family for everyone. Of course, some of them might have been less welcoming to humanoids creatures, but overall the members of the Pollux family were renowned for their curiosity and spark towards magical creatures of all kinds. Many of them became researchers, enthusiasts and scientists, spreading their natural curiosity to their offsprings, who usually followed the steps of those who came before them, and some of them… went even further.
This was the case of Armand Pollux, the grandfather of Jules and Agnes. Graduating in Beauxbatons in the late ‘50s, he immediately showed an interest in Werewolves and Vampires. And of course, his family supported every step he was planning to take to become an expert, from all the books he got from different parts of Europe to his trips in the wilds to study on the field the habits of the creatures he loved so passionately, and through the year he truly became an expert in his field.
Things couldn’t have gotten better than that, until… Joelle appeared.
Armand had built the habit of hiding in the woods at nights to observe the behaviour of nocturnal creatures, no matter how hard everyone tried to dissuade him from doing that, as it was extremely dangerous for a human to be in those creatures’ territory, even for a wizard. He was quite arrogant, even if in a good way, and was sure nothing could have ever happened to him, having studied for so long the creatures he was trying to look at.
That night was quite boring, not a single noise or step could be heard in the silence of the woods. Armand was almost drifting off, enchanted by the starry sky above him and the soft wind flowing through the trees, a peaceful night like many others. Almost as in a dream, a swift movement caught the eye of the wizard, followed by an enchanted voice that resembled a melody.
“Is there anyone?” the voice spoke, but Armand couldn’t see who was talking. It couldn’t be a Werewolf - Armand thought – maybe a vampire? And so he tried to peek at the direction where the voice spoke, trying to see other movements to trace the so-called vampire.
“W-who’s there?” the voice asked again, slightly more worried now, as soon as they heard Armand moving from the nest he was hiding in, in the attempt to catch a glimpse of the figure. The wizard remained silent, trying to not blow up his cover, and kept still. It didn’t seem like it was a vampire calling, it would have been that worried, but excited to potentially find something to eat.
And finally, the creature revealed herself: Joelle, a mysterious, dangerously beautiful woman, almost ethereal. Armand couldn’t believe his eyes, what was her doing there, all alone in a wood full of nocturnal creatures? Of course his first reaction was to raise a hand and whispering “It’s dangerous, come here.” Trying to make room for her in his hiding spot.
Little did he know that the woman wasn’t human, but a Veela: a creature he certainly did study, but never actually saw before. Joelle giggled at the attempt of Armand to protect her, finding it funny that he was the one actually in danger for being a human all alone there. “Do not worry. You, though… should really go home now.” She suggested before giggling once more and disappearing in the night.
The next day, Armand was sure it had been just a dream, but for some reasons he was drawn to that nest, and kept spending the following nights there in hope to see again that beautiful woman.
Joelle appeared again, and again. Every time revealing a bit more of herself, playing with Armand as he was her plush, intrigued by him and his curiosity for the creatures. It didn’t pass long until they fell in love with each other, and when she revealed her true identity Armand couldn’t be happier: he could have finally wrapped his head around the reason why Joelle had such a magnetic impact on him.
Armand proposed, and Joelle accepted. She wasn’t really fitting the human society, and Armand had no problem finding them a nice little house in the northern France, away from the big cities, with the help of his family who were thrilled to finally have a Veela in the family after such many generations. The two had three children, one of whom was the father of Jules and Agnes, making them part-Veela.

Jules and his twin sister Agnes were born in Calais, France, from a wealthy and numerous pure-blood family. They could count many relatives displaced around France, Belgium and Scotland, and their household too was quite used to relocation due to their parents' jobs, both magical creatures researchers operating in those countries. After the first years spent in Calais, the family briefly moved to Belgium for a few more years, then Netherlands for just one year and finally they settled in Scotland, in a small magical town where other relatives were already living, forming a close bond with them and creating a small clan. The twins were already fully bilingual at this point, with few slips here and there due to their young age, speaking both French and English at home and knowing a bit of elementary Dutch, but were surely much happier to stay in the same place instead of moving across countries every few years. They spent their later elementary school years being taught at home by one of their aunts, along with other cousins who were around their age, and developing a sense of community in the small Scottish town, without of course forgetting their French origins. Nobody was surprised when the letter from Hogwarts arrived for both twins at their 11th birthday, and with all the knowledge from the older cousins who were already at school they couldn't have been happier to start their new journey.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Jules' first instance of magic occurred along with his twin sister when they were four years old. They were on a summer vacation in Scotland, visiting one of their aunts, and although they could speak French they still weren't fluent in English - but they certainly tried their best. They were both trying to play hide and seek with some other kids, children of other pure-blood families and cousins, but they were really struggling with communication. They both didn't understand they had to hide and that the game was starting, and even by trying to follow what the other kids were doing they still ended up getting caught. Filled up with frustration as they tried to explain to the other kid that they weren't ready, Jules made a little flower to appear on the ground, only to be splashed with water he accidentally summoned. The water splashed also the other child, and Jules and his twin sister immediately ran to their mother to tell her what had just happened.
