Swashbuckler Florian couldn't believe that they had sentenced an innocent to death. It wasn't someone he had voted for, but they had seemed a little suspicious, but regardless, it was a meaningless death. Of course that meant the next morning there would be another death among the cabin, with all fingers this time pointing to Bubba and Beatrice. They were the only two who had voted for Hunter, and now here he is, dead?
Florian tried to gather his thoughts. He had an inclination to believe Pax when it came to them being protector, but he wasn't sure why. He also thought it was pretty dangerous to start voting out their possible protector, even if they were lying. It could be a great cover up for a wolf, but why risk it?
And while Akira had been the one to put the blame on Aryann, he was now learning from past mistakes, showing that he was trying to think things through logically. He had an inclination to believe him, even if he disliked the boy generally.
Florian had voted for Aurelia the last time, and he was still suspicious of her, especially with her quietness, and based on Akira's thoughts, it seemed like a safe bet. "I agree with you, Akira, and I am inclined to hear your theory if this end's up being true. Plus, even if Pax is lying, if we vote them and they turn out to be not a wolf, we very well loose our protector, which could be quite bad. I would rather keep Pax around just in case than throw them overboard. Not just that, but no one has spoken against them in a different manner: no one has come forward to say that they are the protector instead, as someone would be more likely to do if a wolf was claiming to be the protector, so I am inclined to believe them."
Florian wasn't sure this would sway anyone's opinions on the fellow crewmate, but he really didn't want another innocent to be sent off the plank, especially if it meant loosing the protector. Why were people so immediately suspicious of it, Florian didn't understand.

Bluemane woke with a heavy heart.
Thinking they were doing the right thing, the crew had sentenced Aryaan to death, and it had done no good whatsoever. There was yet another murder in the dead of night. This time, it was Hunter, and while Bluemane had no connection to the boy, a young Catholic girl from Ireland named Sophia certainly did, so the captain took a moment of silence to mourn the fallen boy.
Suspicion was going around like a plague. Many were suspicious of her, given her sudden rise to the position of captain. To be honest, she'd been a bit concerned by the popular vote in her favor from a crew of people who didn't know her very well, but that wasn't grounds to accuse someone of heinous murder.
From Bluemane's point of view, all evidence thus far had been largely circumstantial, so she couldn't say with any definitive thought who was or wasn't a werewolf, but one figure in particular was quite suspicious in her eyes.
Walter Wolf.
It was in his name, for goodness' sake! Not to mention the shift behavior! Sleeping in the crow's nest, away from the prying eyes of the crew. Often being among the first to discover the corpse. As one other crew member mentioned, he'd even been quite quick to shoot accusations.
Aye. He was the one Bluemane was most suspicious of.

If you haven't posted, please try and get your post in before the end of the 30th.
Also, I haven't gotten an owl from the WOLVES yet.
Please send me an owl with your target before the evening of the 30th, thank you!
If the wolves don't give me a target, I will need to extend the deadline until they do so.
Those who haven't posted yet are the following again. This is your last notice before the mod post which I will post on the evening of the 30th which is tomorrow.
Unless I don't get a wolf target, then the deadline will be extended to whenever they manage to send me an owl. But do not count on more extensions, this kind of extension will only be until I get their owl which could be any minute.

Outfit: x To Vivienne's dismay, Aryaan wasn't a wolf. And to make matters even worse, they had struck again. Poor Hunter. She was honestly surprised it wasn't Aryaan, since it seemed the most likely that he would've been a wolf with all the evidence pointing against him. But maybe that just makes Akira suspicious, since he was the first one to blame Aryaan and the poor boy turned out innocent. She had honestly thought it was the most logical reason, especially given her own explanation, but apparently she was wrong.
Vivienne looked around again, trying her hardest to decipher who on this ship was hiding something. Pax still raised suspicions to her, but now Bubba did too. But maybe it was merely a coincidence that Hunter was killed right after Bubba, who clearly didn't like the boy, given his speech, had walked up to him. Some people also believed that Walter was also suspicious, and he was usually the one who finds the body first, but did that really mean he was a wolf? Aurelia was also quite suspicious too, and it seemed many people were voting for her again. Vivienne sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose, she really didn't know who to believe. Everyone was suspicious, accusations were being thrown left and right.
She turned to the captain, who honestly wasn't leading very much at all. They had stayed very quiet, and that was quite suspicious if she was being honest. Vivienne heaved a sigh again before speaking up, hoping to draw people's attention, "Does anyone find it just a tiny bit... weird, how the captain isn't doing a lot of captainly duties? They're silent, unusually so. We should be turning to them in our time of need, and they should be helping us. They should be the ones doing the big speeches, yet they aren't. It seems Pax has taken it upon themselves to be our unofficial captain, and truthfully, it's a bit suspicious to me. Maybe they are the protector, or maybe they aren't. But either way, I personally think there's something fishy going on." She shrugged, not really sure what else to say after she had given her mini speech.
Maybe she should've stuck with her gut the last time, maybe she should've voted for Pax then. Because they were really very suspicious to her. That had her decided, she was going to cast her vote on Pax.Vote: Pax Zhang

EmmaLee speaks with a light French accent.
EmmaLee woke up once again and wandered around the deck listening to everyone talk about last nights events, about who was and would be the next victim, and about who the wolves were. She was certain there was more than one. The wolves had claimed another themselves last night and yesterday, the crew had claimed one for them. Aryaan.
EmmaLee didn't feel particularly responsible for his walking the plank, since she had not voted Ayraan off the boat. That was everyone who voted for him's problem. His only crime had been to speak out too loudly and in a situation like this, speaking was a delicate balance. If you said too much, you were suspicious, and if you said to little, you were just as suspicious. EmmaLee tried to walk the fine line in between.
Too much to say was apparently Pax's crime as well. From the voting going on so far, it seemed like they would be next on the chopping block, even though EmmaLee was pretty sure they were telling the truth. Sometimes it was a good strategy to reveal your specialty and sometimes it just put a target on your back.
EmmaLee pondered a minute about her own vote. Everyone who had voted so far had very compelling arguments. She thought about following Xaliah again, but maybe it was a better strategy to stick with her previous vote, even though it was in the vast minority. At the end she decided to stick to her original assessment until swayed or proven wrong. Aurelia Notresvace it would be.

Accusations were flying, and Nessie was completely overwhelmed. Many of them seemed quite reasonable on the surface, but that didn't help Nessie believe in them. In her heart, she didn't want to be surrounded by anybody who was taking the others out of the game - she naively wanted everyone to be innocent, even despite the evidence that there must be wolves in their midst.
With only one person claiming to be the protector, Nessie didn't think she wanted to join the vote against Pax. The risk of eliminating her team's means of defending seemed too high given that there were so many other suspicions going around. There just wasn't enough evidence for the Hufflepuff to think such a risk would be worth it in the end.
Instead, she considered that there'd been suspicions against Aurelia since the start. Nessie was quiet by nature, but she'd spoken up to ask that those accused speak for themselves - but Aurelia had not yet given a defense. Not that Nessie could blame her, for quite a lot of people were sharing their thoughts and Nessie wasn't feeling quite brave enough to speak up amidst all the chatter, either. Were the talkative ones those with something to hide? Or did their words make them more trustworthy? It was a lot for the meek young Hufflepuff to think about, and she focused on trying to unravel her thoughts.

Silver's elder teammate explained that she had been talking with another crew member and that she was leaning toward either Pax or Bluemane. Before Silver could ponder their captain killing people in the night, Pax responded to the Duchess, accusing her of something treacherous. The Duchess responded that if she were a werewolf or any other foul creature, she would kill the captain and run the ship. Was that true? Would a true nefarious monster be so brazen? No one had killed the captain. If everyone were like the Duchess, then the conclusion would be that the captain was a werewolf. But Silver had spent a lot of time flying next to the Duchess, and while she admired the older girl, she was definitively different than most of their peers.
Another "night" passed. Aryaan walked the plank, but to no avail. He was human. And that led to Hunter being dead. Silver's mind was spinning. How could they connect the dots? Pax claimed to be the protector, many questioned Bluemane's leadership, some were wondering about Walter, and others accusing Aurelia. All of it based on circumstantial evidence.
As Silver listened to Pax's pleas, she decided against voting for them. It was bold to claim to be the protector, and even more so to have claimed to protect oneself, but risking killing the protector seemed too much (plus there was probably Gryffindor allegiance mixed in). In hopes to make allegiance with another Gryffindor, Silver found the Duchess again this morning. Out of earshot of most others, Silver whispered to the older girl, "You mentioned having suspected the captain? I would like to hear more. And what do you think about Akira? I admit I voted for Aryaan as well, but he seemed to lead the tide on that vote."

DAY 2 - directly before night time
There was much talk amongst those on board about who was responsible for the latest death. Aryaan had been chosen as the culprit behind the killing of Rita but it had been discovered that he'd been innocent of the crime. And then the wolves had claimed their second victim from those who had come on board since the Chaos Demon had last docked. This time Hunter had been targeted and devoured by the wolves at night time.
Having been wrong once before, this time those on board seemed to try and fix their mistake by finding the real creature responsible for the latest death and probably the deaths before that too. Once more a vote was held amongst those on board but this time the voting was different from the last time. For the first time ever, there was a 3 way tie vote. Akira, Aurelia and Pax each had 4 votes for them. Pierre managed to get 2 votes.
Also, for the first time, their elected leader Sophia was called over to make a decision.
After careful consideration, Sophia decided on eliminating Aurelia to walk the plank. And so, Aurelia was chosen to take the blame for Hunter's death the previous night. Unfortunately for those on board, Aurelia was a human and not a wolf, as they had suspected she was. And so night fell again on the Chaos Demon, where the sea surrounded them and prevented those on board from escaping the ship to ensure safety.
Those on board had just sent yet another one of their own to their grave. Now, there were 10 humans and 5 wolves. It seemed as if the wolves were on a roll taking out the humans.
Night fell. Hopefully, during the night, no one else would die.
DAY 3
Once more, night fell on board the Chaos Demon. Over the night, the wolves celebrated their success at being able to take out four humans already. Of course, they'd only eaten two but the humans had ended up taking out two of their own during the daytime too. It was rather amusing to witness them falling all over eachother to blame eachother for the crime. Perhaps history would repeat itself the following day when morning came again.
When the first rays of light hit the ship, Akira's body would be found alone. It seemed as if he'd tried to fight against the wolves but they had overtaken him in the end. Despite all the accusations that had fallen upon him, Akira was actually innocent as he'd been claiming all along, at least when it came to killing Rita and Hunter. Whether or not he'd been a normal or special human remained to be seen. And no one would ever know now.
The only thing that was ironclad was that Akira had not been a wolf.
So now, it was down to 10 vs 5. If the wolves kept this up, they'd win in the end and devour the entire crew on board the Chaos Demon.
But it was now the start of a new day and those still alive needed to decide who was the one responsible for claiming Akira as their latest victim. Tongues should fly and votes should be cast as soon as possible, before night fell again and another body showed up. Because it was becoming clear that the murders would continue until they discovered the culprit behind them. Best get to chatting and figure out who to 'blame' for the latest death!

Please vote for who you want to have walk the plank (eliminate).
Aka who you think the one responsible for killing Akira is.
Place your vote at the bottom of your post with the name of the person in bold.
Also state your vote IC as well with the person's name.
You may post as often as you want during this process but you MUST post at least once.
Remember, in your post cast your vote both IC and also at the bottom of your post too.
One last thing I thought I'd mention!!!!
You can send owls to eachother and discuss via discord if you like about who you are thinking of voting for etc... but you cannot reveal your true roles to eachother. By 'revealing' I mean by sending someone my owl I sent you that literally tells you what your role is. You can 'lie' and say what your role is to convince someone. But it's up to them whether they believe you or not.

To reduce confusion: Xailah will respond and refer to herself by either her real name or her fake one. It depends on who she is talking to and whether or not they are in character. In my narrative she will still be refered to as her given name, regardless of dialogue.
Walter had noticed her fawning over his feline, and kindly shared a fraction of Rimmers story. Oh, a Leopard? Saved from Africa? It was an undeniably goofy tale, seeing that Rimmer was obviously not a leopard. But the little house cat seemed to enjoy being called one. Felids of the domesticated variety often thought themselves bigger than they actually were. Xailahs own boy Schrödinger, liked to pretend he was a lion sometimes. Or so she assumed. What creature didn't want to be bigger and more powerful than they actually were?
Giving into the "leopards" purring, Xailah couldn't help but play along. She filled a few minutes scratching the small creature behind its ears- until she remembered she was here to weed out some murderers, not to play with a cat. Ugh. Could people stop dying for a few seconds? She wanted to pet the kitty.
If there was one thing Xailah was learning from Walter, it was that he was a storyteller. A... debatable title for someone who spoke so few words; but regardless of that observation, it was clear that he wanted to share his story. Xailah had only been asking the bare minimum, yet he offered tales of his origins. She shuffled through Walter's narrative, trying to piece together his broken English. If he ever had to defend himself, he would surely fail due to circumstance. It was almost as if the lord had intentionally dealt the poor sap a crap deck of cards, just to set him up for failure. It was honestly quite tragic, if his broken stories were indeed the truth. When he ended his accounts with mention of fame; Xailah snorted lightly, and thumbed at the the brim of her hat.
"A gentleman?" Was all she could say, amused to some degree. "A word of advice-" from one (ahem) thief to another, "Get that taste. Revel in luxury, but don't live it." How she spoke wasn't quite on par with her character Dutchess. Definitely a bit more personal, though easily dismissed. High society wasn't just a gilded cage. It was more akin to a gilded beartrap. "In any case, I hope you find yourself where you want to be. One day."
⬩──────────────────⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ᓚᘏᗢ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅──────────────────⬩
When Xailah and Walter found each other the following day, few words were spoken between the two. Walter had suggested to split their vote to reduce suspicion. Xailah agreed, but only because her vote differed from his anyway. Her hand patted the side of a rail, indicating her intention to leave Walters side. Her head jutted to a little blonde figure who had started to approach. "I'm going to check in on Silver."
The white-haired girl found her way to Xailah's side before the metamorph got to her. Was it appropriate to say good morning? The prefect supposed not. She stood silently for some time, watching the votes take up. Xailah was surprised to see a vote placed for Pax.
They took the stand to defend themself, by apologizing to Xailah first. They claimed they had chosen to protect themself the night prior. Hearing this, the metamorph brought her hand up, palm facing forward, in a halting gesture. Then, she proceeded to nod in understanding. There was no need for an apology. Looking at the mechanics of the game, Pax was a far more valuable piece. Granted everyone played an important role, without them there would be no game, but Pax had the ability to protect those on board. If they played their cards right. It was an ability no one else appeared to have. So it made sense for Pax to protect themself. If they were safe, then that meant there was a chance for them to keep someone else alive. Therefore Xailah did not find their alleged act of self preservation curious in the slightest. She understood.
She would not think much more of it. And with Dell Silver at her side prodding for answers, she could not spare more focus on the subject.
Silver desired to hear more about the suspicion of the captain. If the child was genuinely interested, or just trying to get her to talk in hopes of an accidental information leak, Xailah did not know. She would however, oblige with the younger girls request. "Suspected," emphasis on the past tense, "I'm not quite sure what to think of her now. The wolves hold some amount of power over the rest of us. Those we do not send overboard, they kill. If they could integrate one of their own into a position of leadership, they could rid of us quickly." She explained, her movements nonchalant and inquisitive. "But," this was where she began having a change of mind, "she is quick to protect Pax. They could be working together, yes; or Bluemane understands that Pax is in possession of a very valuable ability." In other words, her speculation of the two (presumed) friends was dwindling away. Through hastily cast votes, others had made themselves the subject of Xailah's skepticism. Bluemane, and first mate Pax were the last two she was the most concerned about now.
When Silver asked about Akira, Xailah wagged a finger. "His readiness to vote Aryaan off without much evidence is concerning." Admittedly, he had her vote, but it was a flimsy decision. If she had things her way, she wouldn't have placed a vote at all. To risk the life of another crew mate was unideal. If everyone abstained from voting without evidence there would be at least one death a day, instead of two. The ship had been narrowed down to numbers. Those on board were hardly people anymore- just a few digits. "It is possible that he meant well. With how fast people have been dropping around here, he may have simply felt the need to send someone off the ship. It was a gamble." Then with a note of curiosity, she added: "To be completely honest, I am more interested in those that followed him." Knowingly, she turned to the white-maned lion at her side. Miss Silver had been one of them. And though she had seen the vote go down, Xailah quirked her lips lightly; her eyes lidding in a soft manner; as if to dismiss the implication that Silver could be questionable. She believed the girl's vote had been out of pressure.
When the votes for Pax continued to pop up, Xailah simply shook her head. "Talk about suspicious." An eyebrow rose. Clearly there was something about the trickling vote that she did not understand. "Why would they want to take such a risk? There haven't been any other claims to the role of protector." Pax would need an incredible amount of luck to successfully lie about the role, and get away with doing so. For them to lie meant that the first crew mate to die had been the protector. So what was the deal with the voters? She'd have to dissect the matter later. For now, maybe Silver could offer her thoughts.
The overall vote had been concluded by intervention of the captain. With a three-way tie, it was decided that Aurelia had to go. With the matter closed, twilight fell. Everyone dispersed into their own little corners of the night. Did the crew make the right decision? Or had they sacrificed another innocent life? It was so hard to tell when the victims didn't even try to talk. Waiting for morning was dreadful.
⬩──────────────────⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ᗢᘏᓗ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅──────────────────⬩
Like the days prior, the only thing mornings light revealed, was death. Akira had been taken out. Had it been because he knew something? Or was it to frame someone? Akira had mentioned he had an inkling about something. Someone? Silver was the first person Xailah sought out at sunrise. She would say something when in earshot. "I think that boy Bubbles talks too much."
Voting for Monica Evans (may change to offset the Pax vote), however Bubba is still a main subject of suspicion.

Should something happen during the night, the documents can be found on the authors body (by the first person to post in the morning, following her death- or whoever posts and claims it first).
It would appear Xailah has been taking notes.
[Entries are written from the point of view of her assumed character Dutchess, a creature from the deep who had been unwillingly taken aboard by the previous captain]
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────
There is something wrong with the ship and its crew. I've known this ever since the captain plucked me from the sea and took me captive, binding me to the ship. He has given me the name Dutchess. I want out, but I cannot leave this place without the word of the captain, or until the ship has been laid to rest. He has refused my freedom, so I have cursed his vessel. Though I think perhaps... I have gone too far this time. I thought it was a small price for him to pay for taking a siren and Sea Witch from her home. However, my selfishness may have jeopardized the innocents on board.
Day 1: Unexpectedly, the ship has claimed its first victim. We woke up to find the ships captain dead. Or should I say former captain. He appeared to have been mauled sometime during the night. I do not grieve this loss, however it has now made my return to sea trickier. I will now need my freedom granted by the new captain. I believe we picked up some bad folk when last in port. But who? And will they kill again? There's been rumor of werewolves on board... it matches up with the marks left on the captain. We had to pick a new leader. Piérre, Aurelia, and EmmaLee voted for me. Aryaan and I voted for Piérre (Aryaan had voted for EmmaLee prior to this). Rita and Sophia voted for Pax. Pax, Hunter, Quinn, Akira, Vivienne, Beatrice, Emma, Avery, Florian, Astrid, and Nessie voted for Sophia to become the new captain. There was no further debate. I suspect Sophia may be a wolf, and Pax tends to act as Sophia's voice. Clearly some of those who voted did so to blend in. I hope you are prepared for what is to come, Captain Bluemane. (In entries going forward, known character names will be used to address players).
Day 2: There was another killing discovered in the morning. A crewmate this time- a young lady called Rita. She was quiet, the "wolves" must have been aware. She would have been an easy target for them. We decided that during the day we would try to weed out the wolves, by placing votes and sending the dogs overboard. Walter (Piérre) was the first to cast a vote- for Aurelia. When I questioned him, he said something about Aurelia disturbed him. I must admit, she does emit a feeling of unease. I voted for Aurelia as well, however I do question my vote. She has been awfully quiet though. Swashbuckler Florian, and EmmaLee also voted for Aurelia. I've been speaking with the young man Walter. I have decided to claim him as my first ally. Its a gamble, I am aware, but I think we may have use for one another. He wants to make it to land, and I want to be set back into the sea. He claims to have been residing in the crows nest. It would explain why I haven't seen him sleeping below with the rest of us. I have shared my concerns about Pax and Bluemane with him. Long Dell Silver (Della) has also captured my attention, I think I would like to make ties with her. While votes were being gathered, Pax made an interesting admittance. Somehow they sensed I did not trust them. They said they could protect themselves, or me. What that entails... I'm not quite sure. But it may help us both through the night, if they are telling the truth, that is. There have been no other claims to this "protector" role. Perhaps I was wrong bout Pax? And if I was, would that mean I was wrong about the new captain? I suppose the morning with tell whether or not they (Pax specifically) are with the wolves. I don't think I will be sleeping with the rest of the crew tonight. I will be heading to the deck. It's not safe below.
I find it important to note that some crew members appeared to have made early enemies. Aryaan was quickly suspected to be the one who killed Rita. He was the last person to speak to her. Akira, Silver (Della), Quinn, Vivienne, Ella (Astrid/Anastasia), and Monica voted to make Aryaan walk the plank. There was an odd vote- however I do believe this one was personal- Bubba had thrown in his vote for Hunter. What I find even more interesting, is how none who were voted to leave the ship even made an attempted to defend their honor.
A brief note: Akira speaks with logic, however he felt the need to defend his reason for picking Bluemane as a captain. Interesting. Is he trying to hide the truth about something? Or maybe someone? He was also the first to point a finger at Aryaan.
Day 3: Aryann turned out to be human... the killings didn't stop. We found Hunter dead this morning. I casted my vote for the first person who had started the line of Aryann votes. I was not confident in this decision however. Even more so when some curious accusations began popping up. Walter abstained from voting alongside me, stating it would look less suspicious if we split our votes. This comment draws alarm, why worry about suspicion unless you are indeed suspicious? His hastiness has drawn the attention of the captain. Her vote went to him. Silver however, put per vote in to match mine. It was a good thing too. If she hadn't split the vote, our potential protector Pax could have been sent overboard. Silver asked about my concerns with the captain, and I explained them to her. However, the captain nor Pax, no longer make me wary like they used to. I think they may be alright, though, I have not let my guard down. Right now everyone is guilty.
I've noticed a pattern with a few people. Bubba has quickly made himself out to be highly suspicious. I would like to believe that he is not a wolf, and is just moronically ballsy. He talks too much. Would it be much of a loss to us non-wolves if something happened to him...? He did try to vote off our alleged protector. Is he a possible red herring? Vivienne, Beatrice, and Monica followed him with the vote on Pax.
I find it curious that Monica, and Vivienne also participated in the vote for Aryaan. Beatrice on the other hand... appears to be following Bubba's vote. The day prior she had voted for Hunter alongside him. Beatrice and Bubba... might need to keep an eye on those two.
Day 4: We voted off Aurelia yesterday. The decision looked promising at first. That was until morning came again. Akira's body was found. A tragedy really, he seemed like such a bright fellow. He being the cause of Aryaan's downfall aside. Maybe he could have been help to us if he was still alive.

A note for the wolves- if that is what you truly are- should you claim me in the middle of the night, know it was not a lamb you had cornered. I pity your condition, however pity cannot undo what was done. Know that I am now with you always as a plague. I am the voice that speaks to you from the shadows, the ghostly breath on the back of your neck, and the shade that always wanders in the corners of your vision. You may escape from this ship, but you will never escape the fate I have crafted for you.
Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....
