Waiting for the other boy's reply, Dmitri couldn't help the feeling of being watched. His nape was tingling--usually an instinctive reaction to suspicion. Moving his head a little bit to let his bangs hang in such a way that covered most of his eyes, he scanned the length of the table.

Right there!

Right across from him and to the side was another young blonde boy. Dmitri didn't miss the calculating glance nor the suspicious stare that the boy kept trained on him. Tutting, he shook his head and resumed his meal and reading. Maybe he'll leave me alone. God knows I don't need any more people planning my demise.

That is not the case however. A few bites later, Dmitri looked up just in time for the boy to look away from what was obviously another stare at him. Rolling his eyes and sighing (Dmitri is not the type of person to like playing games), the raven-haired boy decided to be blunt. He called out across the table with a decisive sneer, "Like what you see? If you have something to say, say it." He smiled a smile that showed his teeth, deceptively friendly but subtly hostile. "Besides, I don't bite... much." Dmitri snickered and proceeded to take another bite of his meal, this time not taking his eyes off the boy across from him.

If you can't beat 'em, nerf 'em.

Kevin was jolted by unexpected approach by another House mate. As a result, he found himself pausing over long while the boy ended up addressing yet another student. Inwardly he sighed since he felt that he was careless or perhaps overly effective in advertising. But he didn't consider that a bad thing if he could build a good network. Still rather than pull out another book he'd just keep what he placed on the table as the only thing on the board.

"If you don't mind a little huddle, you're welcome to look at the one on the table. Just something of a light sample of things from home really. Long speech cut short: I'm willing to be friendly, or for the more practical: open my family's extensive archives to aid anyone willing to aid me. Y'know since it's not like the other Houses give this school any legitimacy  -may was well do the work ourselves and build something from it." Despite the highly delayed response he flippantly caught things up since he wasn't interested in repeating himself yet another time.

"Kevin Reagan by the way, just in case anyone is interested in proper introductions." His eyes rested on the guy who'd approached since he was the new guy.

"Begging the pardon of Miss Callaghan and yourself." His gaze leveled itself to the platinum blonde as he spoke. "I didn't think things would become so popular."

Alexander would raise an eyebrow at Dmitri's response. Also nothing how he quickly managed to discover if someon was watching him and thought of possible reply's to what Dmitri had just said befoer deciding on one of them "Didn't know it was illegal to observe people without starting a conversation. But if you wish to know I am simply making observations of people, try to know who my housemates will be for the coming 7 years. Just like most slytherins would do. " He says quite confident whilst leaning back against the chair and taking another bite of some good pork.

Furthermore he would ponderDmitri words for a moment before replying. After finishing his food of course, only fools eat with their mouths full. "Good, it is better to have someone who barks less and who bites. God knows we got too much barkers in this world" He remarks rather casually. Furthermore as Alex was a slytherin he could see the hostile intent but mostly let it go. As he saw Dmitri was still staring at him he would raise a cup of pumpkin juice in his direction not quite taunting before taking a drink of it. Also meeting Dmitri's eyes and keeping stable eye contact trying not to look away and he would raise an eyebrow

Memory is all we are. Moments and feelings, captured in amber, strung on filaments of reason. Take a man’s memories and you take all of him. Chip away a memory at a time and you destroy him as surely as if you hammered nail after nail through his skull

by this point in there conversation Roxy had become bored with the young boy- though she should call him Kevin at least he had manners to introduce himself properly as soon as more people started butting into the conversation she felt some what worrisome she hadn't had expected this young boy offer to attract other to there conversation. Roxy could never really handle speaking, or rather yet being around people.

maybe this was good for Roxy being around people- but that just social anxiety creeping up around the shoulder. she looked at the boy her smirk, and curiosity had faded as for now. Tempting to just get up, and leave with out even greeting her self would be out of her normal character so she supposed she could stick around a little longer just for a minute or so. "Ahem-.. it appears it has though- you would have had not prediction it would.. It was already rude of me to come listen into your conversation, and not greet my self properl-" Roxy sentence had been caught off short by a sudden cough the girl was able to cover her mouth with her arm just in time though.

"I apologize for that sudden cough it been happening to often this week- But as i was saying it would be rude to not greet my self towards you, I am Roxy Langley it is somewhat of a pleasure to meet you mister Reagan." She finished up her sentence, and began to stand up "I was slightly intrigued by your proposal of a offer but i shall decline if you do not mind, With that said i well be going now. I hope we meet again Mister Reagan." She flashed him a smile almost like the Mischievous smile he gave to her earlier when Roxy had just arrived. Roxy had Shut her mouth by the time she had already stood up, and began to walk off away from the Table towards the common rooms of Slytherin.

Wolf's eyes were big as saucers when she had heard that she was going to be a Slytherin for the next seven years. The only downside was that now that she was a Slytherin, Wolf felt that she might not have enough time to hang out with her friend, Roseline, who had ended up a Hufflepuff. However, Wolf was determined to make things work with her friends even though they ended up in different houses.

Wolf had looked up at the Slytherin sign above the table to which she was going to sit for the rest of the years to come. She found an empty seat and sat down, trying not to make eye contact with anyone; Wolf wasn't the most 'sociable' child growing up so she had no idea really how to talk to other people her age unless thrust into the situation like that on the train.

Silently, Wolf grabbed some of the pork and mashed potatoes and ate, looking anywhere, but at other members of her houses faces. She didn't think she really fit for the Slytherin, from everything that her father told her about, everything about her newfound house disgusted her father, except of course, her mum. An audible sigh escaped the young girl's lips as she continued to eat the gorgeous meal that they were presented with.

Shy, kind and unsure. Let's do this.

Victoria watched as another brand new Slytherin took the seat next to her. Besides the initial greetings from her housemates, everyone had returned their attention to the ceremony. However, Victoria was feeling antsy, she really wanted to talk to someone. She was determined to start her time in Slytherin on the right foot and was craving some conversation to curb her enthusiasm.
A sigh from the girl that had sat next to her drew her attention back to the newcomer and she decided it was time to try and make some friends, after all, how hard could it be?

"Excuse me?" She asked while gently poking the other girl on the shoulder to get her attention, absolutely oblivious to the signs and body language coming from the girl that implied she didn't want to chat. "My name's Veronica, it's nice to meet you," she offered excitedly with a wide smile on her face. "So I guess we finally know our house, I'm pretty excited about being in Slytherin. It's the house my dad was in after all. What about you, which house was your first choice?" she rambled.

Wolf jumped at the slight contact the other girl gave her, and cleared her voice, "Ah, I'm Wolf..." She wasn't used to having to introduce herself, however the slight introductions on the train were enough for her to get a tad bit better at it. "I wasn't expecting to be put into Slytherin, honestly. My father was a Gryffindor and my mother was a Slytherin. I've just heard many bad things about this house, but I guess I'm ambitious enough to be included here." Wolf spoke meekly, but gave a light smile to the warm welcome. "I'm also a half blood so I really wasn't expecting for anyone to be too kind to me."

After she spoke Wolf ate some more of her meal, fiddling with her robes from shear nervousness, once she was done she spoke again, "Thank you for the welcome, Veronica."

Good job V, apparently making friends commenced by scaring them to death, she thought to herself as she turned her attention back to the girl sitting next to her. "Wolf?" Victoria tilted her head slightly, "that's an interesting name, I've never met anyone called Wolf before. I like it." Veronica smiled, but soon found herself frowning slightly at the mention of the unpleasant things Wolf had heard about their new house and felt her resolve for dismissing such rumors falter, "I've heard a lot of not-so-fantastic stories too, but they can't be true. If a house was truly so evil, why would it still exist?"  It was then that she realized her dad had never really spoke about Slytherin beyond mentioning the fact that it was the house he was sorted into, I should write to him and ask how things were when he was a student. She shrugged, "I'm sure you'll fit in just fine, the wacky old hat must have had its reasons."

She tilted her head once again when the other girl mentioned being treated differently as a half-blood, "I thought people were over the whole blood status thing?"

When Wolf took another bite of her food, Victoria realized that she hadn't even started eating yet. Finally pushing her excitement and concerns aside, she worked on loading her plate with food and digging in.

She looked at Wolf when she spoke again, this time actually picking up on some of the nervousness coming from the other, and gave her a wide smile, "no need to thank me, I haven't made any friends yet and I tend to talk a lot when I'm excited so if anything I should thank you for not running away from my rambling."

Dmitri surprised the boy by laughing out loud. "Oh no, of course it isn't illegal, silly! You can stare at me all you like." The raven-haired boy raised an eyebrow, still smiling maliciously. "However, most people think it quite rude when others stare at them for an uncomfortable period of time. Let's be glad I'm not most people, then, shouldn't we?" He chuckled. "Besides, it would be an extreme kind of narcissism to assume that what one does, other people do as well, isn't it?" Dmitri stated pointedly--it was a subtle jab at the boy's last statement.
"Good, it is better to have someone who barks less and who bites. God knows we got too much barkers in this world"
"Why thank you. I am a person who hates barking as well... I usually just stay in the background..." He smiled darkly, showing his teeth, "...and you won't hear me hiss until I've punctured you with my fangs." The raven-haired boy started stroking a chicken leg with the tip of his dinner knife. "It would do you well to steer clear of my bite." He suddenly stabbed the piece of food with the knife for emphasis--expression heavy.

Dmitri chuckled softly a moment afterwards and went back to his fake-cheery demeanor, resuming his meal and reading. "On the contrary, you are welcome to my tail." If it wasn't clear enough, the boy told the other in subtle terms that getting in his way would prove to be detrimental--it was better to get behind him and not interfere with his goals. He returned the other guys gesture of raising his cup towards him and drinking from it--as well as his stare, albeit Dmitri has a mocking eyebrow raised.
@Kevin Reagan
"Kevin Reagan by the way, just in case anyone is interested in proper introductions."
Dmitri put a hand on his chest and faked a shocked expression. "Oh, I'm dearly sorry. I'm Dmitri. Dmitri Jones. I find that I have neglected to introduce myself, a fact that I do apologize greatly for." He dropped his head towards his plate and rolled his eyes, unseen. He looked back towards Kevin. "So... what do you request in exchange for..." Dmitri dropped his eyes derisively towards the contents of the open book in front of Kevin and raised an eyebrow, "...fragmented excerpts and discussion notes?" Wait. This is the book that caught my interest? Might as well have not made the effort to walk all the way around the table. However, he did mention that he had more so this trek might not be as unprofitable as I thought. Dmitri thought to himself.

Wolf shrugged at the mention of the blood thing being relevant or not still, "My parents dealt with that stuff when they were here so they told me to expect it. But I guess being a half blood is better then being muggle born from what my mum said at least." She smiled happily at Veronica, "Its no problem Veronica, but I don't think I'd have anywhere to run even if I wanted to." Wolf laughed softly as she grabbed a dinner roll and took a so of whatever kind of drink they were given. Maybe life here at Hogwarts won't be too horrible, heck, I've already made a handful of friends! Much more then I had before. Maybe I'll try to talk to some of the boys here next? Wolf inhaled slowly then exhaled with a smile, eating her nerves quickly, "But if the school has quit that kind of behavior, it's amazing and will make it such a more enjoyable experience for the next seven years."

She stretched, watching the other Slytherins interact with each other, they at least seemed friendly enough to get. "So why'd you come here, Veronica?" Great job, already asking about why your friend is here, hopefully it's something good that happened. Wolf glanced at her newfound friend not knowing what to expect.
