How about putting dates on homework? Like when a certain homework was submitted?

The bean idea while fun as an idea would require a lot of work on the back from Zach and English is not his first language. That said, I am sure we van do some riddle work for you guys as an activity at some point.

What do you mean by dates on the HW? So you can remember when you submitted a HW? I know when you did because the HOH team monitors the HW queue to make sure it does not go on too long.

Like the posts have date when they were posted on the left hand side. Like "less than a minute" or date, time etc.

Similarly the homework should have dates when they were posted.

Not sure if that will be something Zach will try to do, but it is in the thread here so if he finds it useful hopefully he can add it. in the meantime, you van get a rough idea from seeing when you earned points. The record of points earned shows when the HW was at least graded as a sort of receipt.

How about there is no need to re fresh the page to see new posts? Like it just pops up there

You only think you want a repeatedly refreshing page that pops up stuff... Someone was having issues with snow.

It would also use up a lot more data for those on mobile data since it would refresh automatically

The site would be as slow as... [insert whatever you want here really] the site would be painfully slow and it would overwhelm devices that are older. It would be unplayable for some members and the delivery would be heavy on the site itself.

I've got some minor technical suggestions:
1) Light syntax highlighting of the BBCode. Not sure if that is possible but having the tags in a lighter color, so the actual text is better visible would help with the editing of code.
2) A button to add the table tags (td and tr) like the others. So that one could highlight a portion, click the button and [td]..[/td] or [tr]..[/tr] is added. With the table button, there is always a completely new table created but sometimes I just want to add another line or column. With buttons to create the tags that enclose the selected text, it would be much easier.
3) While writing this, I noticed that the inlinecode creates rather big text by default and I needed to add a size 75 to make it as big as the rest of the text.
