I have two questions:

One) How do a lot of people know so much about everything about this website even if they joined just a few seconds ago?

Two) Not that I wanted to, but how would I go and be an adult or teacher? There was also that one Fifth Year that was just a default Fifth Year. And I just really don't understand

Just note that the first one is kind of a joke but I would also like an answer to that c:

1. We Googled it! Just kidding. As Ravenclaw's Prefect, I get a lot of owls asking about the site. You are not alone if you're confused about something. Feel free to owl your Prefect for information about the site if you're lost! Great question even though it was only a joke!
2. Everyone reverts to first year. Most adults are staff positions (teachers, shop owners, Hogwarts staff, etc...) You've found our hidden fifth year! When the site first opened in February, there were some people from this site's original French site that came to help translate. That person happened to be placed in fifth year to help translate words that only fifth years can see.

Through the years, will the Hogwarts Story follow on from previous years? Such as, in the Fourth Year (for the majority of users), will there be a Yule Ball just for some fun for the students; or will there be a lot of 'Study Threads' when O. W. L.s and N. E. W. T.s come along

Hi! So I have two questions that may or may not be related depending on the answers to them.

1. Does it typically take a long time for owls to be sent? Because I have one that has been flying for over a day now, while I can receive messages within in minutes of posting on a thread. I tried searching to see if there was a timeline for this, or if anyone else had the same issue, but came up empty handed.
2. I had completed all of the appendix administrative formalities and was able to go to Hogwarts to get sorted, but now both the character description and registration validation boxes are unchecked, so I'm a bit worried something with my profile has glitched? I had also suspected this may be the reason my owls aren't sending and seem to be flying indefinitely.

Hey Rachael! I can help you with your first question. That is normal for the owl to be sending a long time, because an owl officially becomes "sent" when the recipient of an owl gets online. I'm sure they will receive your owl when they log onto the site.

As for the second, you're verified so I don't think that would be a major issue. Some other staff can tell me if I'm wrong...

Oh, that makes so much sense. I honestly feel a bit dense for not being able to figure that out myself. Thank you, I appreciate you clearing this up for me!

Pretty much what Anatole said~ 

1. Owls are sent immediately (or within minutes). "Flying" means they are unread. You can still modify owls in the flying category, which is handy to know in case you decide to add anything else to it!

2. That doesn't matter  You've been validated so it's fine. It has nothing to do with the owls. They should work regardless of that! Pretty sure mine is still unchecked hahahaha - whoops!
