Being free at last from the "Petrificus Totalus" felt great, especially since May already knew fully well who had done it and who had helped her. May's eyes were looking directly at the Slytherin, Cazares, not at Xailah. Her hand was holding her wand and her broom all too firmly, and her face was red with rage. Although May had to admit, if it would have been anyone else whom had tried to get her down from her broom while she was petrified, she wouldn't have cared. But if it came to Ruby, May would be, like now, blazing.

While Ruby went to help Xailah, May directed her broom towards her, her wand pointing at her back, trying to attack the Slytherin full on so that she would at last fall off her broom. Flash Holmwood was being helpful. It seemed like he had understood that they all needed the prefects to get out, and Pericles seemed to lose his wand a lot. Willow, her Duelling partner, thought so too, as she casted Flipendo towards Xailah.

May would thank them later, if they would make them fall off. Yet again, May reminded herself that they were still opponents, and that she shouldn't trust too easily. This wasn't a game where they would partner up with each other. A violent flicker of her wand and May 's Flipendo would boom into the grounds.

From up there Alan could clearly see that one person in particular kept on being targeted by many, a girl from his house and year which was quite rare to see around. His year had a lot of dropouts and while there were still many, there weren't many that truly mattered or could keep up with a friendship of sorts. Alan had seen the girl around quite a lot and there was another thing that rushed him to help her; they were of the same kind and it was a kind that was rare. The fourth year would shake his head as he narrowed his eyes on the target. "Inhaeresco," he would incantate and if successful would shout out a "You're welcome!" Alan didn't particularly mind if he was helping someone his allies were targeting, he probably should have helped them but in a way he didn't like the fact that so many were targeting just one girl and with so many spells as well; a girl that was currently blindfolded nonetheless. He knew it was part of the game and that he had done the same to Willow earlier in the game but it kinda seemed wrong to gang up on the person with a handicap. It wasn't like he had switched sides, he had just wanted to make it more fair because where was fun if not in a game won fairly?

The Gryffindor let out an indignant squeak as her broom descended, fingers wrapped around it in a vice-like grip. If she wasn't technically knocked off, then she wasn't out. Perhaps it was for the best that she had already been clinging to her broom since a gust of wind came and blew nearly everyone off theirs. It seemed to be raining students as she continued to plummet against her will, and she desperately wished that she had more control over her broom so that she might at least try to catch someone. Eyre, Ruby, Willow, and Flash are all free-falling, and there wasn't a thing Ana could do about it. She hated feeling helpless and she hated seeing anything bad happen to the people she cared about, even if it was merely part of a game. Just because she was being less than warm and friendly towards Eyre and Rub didn't mean she wanted them to be blown off their brooms in such a manner. She definitely hated the sight of Willow falling from such a height. Somehow, she felt worst of all about Flash falling. A knot twisted in her stomach as she neared the ground. It was guilt, surely. She was part of the reason he had joined the club, part of the reason he was even there. That was definitely why she felt so ardently opposed to the sight before her. Definitely not any other reasons... Definitely not a crush or anything...

The moment her feet touched the ground, she kicked off with as much force as she could muster, eager to avenge her fallenhehe pun allies. As she shot back upwards, her eyes scanned the field to see the remaining players and determine her next target.

"No!!" She called out. Her eyes widened as she spotted that the wind knocked a few people off their broom. They were falling. She was quite high up - far too high to get affected by it. Her position was definitely an advantage, without a doubt. But that did not matter to her. She hated the idea of people falling and hitting the ground. Without care for the game, she instantly turned her broom and started to fly down swiftly. "Rats!" She mumbled to herself before gritting her teeth and attempting to dive down.

Serena could not save them all, unfortunately. She might not even be able to save one person. But her eyes were fixed on a fellow Hufflepuff that had recently quit the Quidditch team with her, after the chaos of the tournament. Willow Anderson. She had seen her in the hospital, seen how upset Willow was - how upset and hurt they all were. She was not about to let her fall if she could help it. In all honesty, Serena had no idea if this was against the rules or what but she did not care.

Leaning forward, gripping her broom, Serena attempted to catch Willow from falling. If she was thinking properly, perhaps she would have used her wand. That would likely have been more efficient and had a better chance of preventing the falling students from getting hurt. Besides, she was not sure if her ability to cast and successfully hit the target would work after the fact that she had missed most of her targets this game already.

In his haste to rejoin Xailah and Ruby, Pericles was not rendered oblivious to attacks aimed at him. He had spied Flash just in the moment of casting, and for a moment he spluttered to a stop, drawing a sharp gasp. He'd only just reclaimed his wand and was not keen on losing it again. But before he could even think to lose his deer-in-headlights posture, he saw the spell backfire. The prefect wouldn't dare add insult to injury by teasing his poor peer, but then, he was plenty glad it wasn't his wand flying for the ground again. There was a fleeting flicker of a relieved, cheeky smile on the edge of his mouth, then he was darting off again towards the formidable target.

His spell missed Ana, though the expression of sheer determination Pericles wore implied he wasn't prepared to give up on her yet. Regrettably, he would soon not have a say in this matter. Her spell had missed Xailah, nearly striking him in the process, and Peri managed to dodge with a hard swerve. He braced, rising slightly from the seat and shifting his weight against a stirrup. This would prove to be a mistake, a miscalculation in weight and overestimation of grip, for in that moment he was battered by a terrible gust of wind. It was just the right force at just the right posture for him to lose his grasp, and with a hard inhale, he slipped away from the prized Silver Arrow and plummeted from the game. Dread struck him. Others had fallen, and fallen hard. Weren't there adults spectating this round?
Where were the professors?!

No- SWAG was often isolated, with students meant to fend for themselves, only a set of rules and codes to keep them from harming each other horribly. He could not wait for an adult to save him, nor would he distract an ally with his moment of vulnerability, and giving in to his fate was not an option. Pericles twisted in midair, a cat-like maneuver enabling him to face the fast-approaching ground. He squinted hard beneath his goggles while the wind whipped against him, bringing the tip of his ivory wand to his chest and crying out: "Arresto Momentum!"

It was a funny thing... how one was forced to face their fears.

This wasn't a day Willow expected to meet not one, or two of them. Perhaps she'd even contemplate quitting S.W.A.G. after this. That had seemed to be the one thing she was good at at this point in her time at Hogwarts. Her spell before didn't fully work, her spell backfired and hit her with the force of a flipendo knocking her square off of her broom. Now she was falling.

It had been something she had talked to Aaron about in her first year before he joined the Quidditch team, something she talked to Professor Jensen about when she was the interim flying professor. She wasn't exactly afraid of the pain of getting hit with a bludger, being targeted with a blatch, she could handle that. It was the falling that terrified her. The plummet off of a thin broom that she couldn't even stop.

Her mind was wild with terror as everything seemed to slow down around her, really make her feel the wind whipping by her, the only thing still clutched in her hands with an iron grip was her wand. Her mouth opened, to what? Ask for help again? Scream as the damsel in distress that couldn't even help herself? She was a witch. And a poor one at that.

So all she could do was let the scream rip through her vocal cords as she wondered if the blue sky of Scotland would be the last thing she saw.
