Autumn, having had arrived at the courtyard, looked around, only to be met by a crowd of people, one she personally considered too large for her taste. She tried to avoid everyone as she made her way over to the table where she could see several bottles of foundation of all different shades. Scanning the bottle, she found an ivory bottle and looked around for a mirror.

After a few seconds of observing the crowd and checking if anyone was holding a mirror, she found a Gryffindor boy, one she felt same to assume was either in his 1st or 2nd year. He had olive skin, green eyes, a triangular face shape, and looked very confused, compact pocket in his right hand, examining a palette of eyeshadow with his left.

Moving towards the boy, Autumn could notice several things. First of all, the boy was wearing bright pink lipstick, which was a fun shade, although most definitely not Autumn's style. The only problem with the lipstick was how horribly it clashed with the boy's olive skin. Autumn chose to put off this noticing until later, because she had others and if she pondered on this one for too long, she would never shut up, and nobody liked it when Autumn talked, unless she was lying.

Second of all, she noticed that the palette the boy was examining had some bronzes, some golds and two, maybe three, shades of green on it. Nothing else. The problem with that was that none of the ones and colours on that palette would be compatible with the boy's lively green eyes.

She did not have to tell him. She would only come off as condescending, and not help the situation. She could lie, and pretend to be someone nice. She could suggest subtly that, maybe, that shade of lipstick could be replaced by, huh, you know, maybe the sheer cherry lip gloss which had magically appeared next to her.

Still, she was not in the mood for mind tricks. It was a Saturday, and she was tired, and she would probably never see the student ever again. And so, with this in mind, she glided over to the slightly taller stranger and spoke quickly and with a deadpan tone.

"Salutations, I am Autumn Artemia Ivy, your name does not matter, I need your compact mirror, and you need to do multiple things, first of which is getting rid of your horrendous lipstick."

She flinched slightly at the face the Gryffindor made at the last three words. She had not meant to have had said them. Still, she kept her resting face on, not daring to show emotion. Before the boy could open his mouth, Autumn reached across the table for some makeup wipes and offered them to the boy.

"Second course form of action you must take is putting-"

She walked away then, and returned with a container of sheer bronze lip gloss.

"-this on. Matches your skin tone significantly more effectively."

She watched patiently as the boy confusedly took the gloss and put it on, looking at the compact mirror as he did so. He then smiled at his reflection, and Autumn actively kept herself from smirking.

"And, finally..."

She went through the eyeshadow palettes surrounding them with a sharp look in her eyes, and a dedicated aura. She sighed in satisfaction as she found what she was looking for; a deep burgundy eyeshadow. She handed it to the boy, who looked down with a raised eyebrow.

"Burgundy eyeshadow. Fits your skin tone and your eyes. After that, if you think you're up for the challenge, a classic thin flick with eyeliner and fix up your eyebrows a bit."

She turned around with a mysterious, knowing half-smile playing on her lips.

That was, until she realised she was not holding a compact mirror. She sighed, but did not go back to the nameless stranger. Her exit had been perfect, and she was not ruining it. Instead, she returned to her previous location, only to find a mirror, one with made of silver and glass, with a stone which Autumn recognised to be tiger eye on the back. She made a face of delighted surprise, and positioned the mirror against a surface and finally sat down.

Then, with a small, genuine smile, she began putting on foundation.

For reference, this is what she looked like by the time she was finished:
(please ignore the actual person, she looks nothing like Autumn. Also Autumn's skin is a shade of ivory.)

Also, she got a standby faceless Slytherin girl to do her nails in exchange for drawing on the girl's thick flick eyeshadow for her and this is what her nails ended up looking like.

Alaric would keep his eye on the work Mars was doing and Alan as evenly as possible. He was ready to help Alan if another mistake arose, and he was genuinely enjoying the design that Mars was working on. When Alan quickly ducked his head away and muttered an apology, Alaric would shake his head a little. “No need to apologize. I am very accustomed to my uniqueness. If you have questions, I wouldn’t think you rude to ask them. I would be honored to help satiate any curiosities you might have about myself.” It was, after all, normal for the children to be curious about him, and he wished to do what he could to put their minds at ease.

“I would love for you to do my other hand just as soon as Mars is done with this one.” Mars was doing an amazing job, and working faster than Alaric had thought. He never put much stake into designs rarely varnished his claws, to begin with. Colors drew attention, but now that he was here, he found that he didn’t mind as much anymore. He was more accepted for who he was at Hogwarts. When Mars had finished, Alaric smiled brightly. “It’s brilliant! I will be careful with them until they are done drying.” His done hand resting on the table, he would shift slightly and put his left hand on the table for Alan. “Do not feel the need to match it. I will rock mismatched hands and be proud of it!” He laughed a hearty laugh that rang out across the courtyard. The Ravenclaw Head of House was enjoying himself far more than he thought he would have.

A faint blush would spread over his cheeks as the professor would respond but at least he was not mad or anything which made the situation far less embarrassing than he might have expected it to go. With this there was little that he would have to worry about since the professor even offered to answer his questions if he had any. And questions he would have. He might have considered it too bold to ask @Alaric Equinox if it hasn't been for the professor to offer it himself so he would finally speak up with what was on his mind. "You share a lot of t-traits with a friend of mine, sir, are you a dhampir?"

Now that this burning questions was out of the way and he had gotten confirmation that he could practice on the man's other hand once @Mars T'ien was done so he would wait patiently until that was the case. He would notice how Mars drew little symbols such as rainbow colored stripes in the middle of some black onto Equinox' nails and even though the man mentioned any color would be fine Alan would still like to at least have it match a little. As he watched Mars at work he would think about the professor and what simple pattern he could do as he slowly got to think of something that would match both the painted fingers and the professor's personality.

As he got ready for his turn he would grab both black and white nail polish colors and show them to the professor once he was done with his current interaction with the Ravenclaw and returned the hearty laugh of the adult man with a shy smile of his own. "Are th-these fine, professor?" he would as for a last confirmation as he showed the man both a matte black nail paint and an equally matte white option of nail polish. Quite simple so far which left his plans in the open. "Th-Those look nice," he furthermore commented on Mars's work with a nervous smile.

He should have used the time Rainwood spent dragging him to the courtyard on sleeping instead. How he went ahead and agreed to allow his roommate to take him somewhere was beyond him. He didn’t get to dwell on it much as he was too busy being skeptical on Rainwood deciding they were close enough for him to grab his hand. It was a silent but clear fact that Hanako did not like his space getting invaded except when he was the one doing it to piss people off. Rainwood and him so far had only got into each other personal space to do just that. Without warning, Rainwood decided he was allowed to hold Hanako’s hand. Did that piss him off? He wasn’t sure. His brain kinda stopped screaming about personal space when he saw Rainwood smiling like a child that just got free ice-cream.

He’ll let it slide, for now.

So, when they arrived at their destination Hanako looked around in mild curiosity. Didn’t this look like a spa? Why are the students and teachers doing the work? Wheres the workers or staff for that? Rainwood talked about putting something on him and it dawned on him. He wasn’t a dumbass when it comes to how these things worked. His grandmother would take him sometimes to the spa and he’d enjoy a nice face mask of different variates. What he was a dumbass in, is doing it himself. Why would he when he had the money to pay for others to do it? Why does it look like everyone was enjoying this? God, he needed sleep.

I’m the last person in his school that needs an anti-stress mask, but why not. Don’t expect me to do the same to you, though~” he joked to Rainwood, not expecting him to put the mask on his own anyway. Rainwood does know Hanako quite well, does he?

Rainwood then called out for Professor Jensen to paint her face as well and Hanako couldn’t help but laugh. Many students would think that Professor Jensen was a- to lightly put it- a stick in the mud. She was exactly what people would expect her to be when it was mentioned that she was the head house for the house of the cunning and ambitious. Basically she looked like someone who would dominate you in chess without mercy. Hanako had thought of her like that as well, without any special interest in getting to know her. But when she accepted his flower crown for Mother’s Day, it was like someone just flicked on the light switch and Professor was now seen in a better light. That didn’t happen often to the people Hanako had met, let’s be honest.

He’d like to stop favoring Professor Jensen since after he graduates, it’s not like he’ll see her again. But with the thought of Jensen comes a thought of his own mother. They both had similar vibes yet why does it feel like Hanako knew Professor Jensen better than his own mother? The interactions he had with the two weren’t all that different but seeing Professor Jensen wear the hand-made flower crown his mother never bothered to...it was tough to decipher so he didn’t want to think all that much about it.

But for now, he could say that he respects her- just a teeny bit. And he knew Rainwood felt the same.

To his surprise, Professor Jensen accepted Rainwood’s offer to paint her face. At the moment, she looked rather popular with the students. Seeing her look rather flustered about the amount of students that asked for her attention managed to make the boy laugh. “ Don’t worry Professor. In a few minutes, you’ll have a chance to look as stress-free as me“. Hanako gave her two confident thumbs up with a cheeky grin. He turned to Rainwood and said: “ Hey, don’t forget to put some on my face as well~”.

Atlas found herself staring at Alexis intently as she put blush on her cheeks and mascara on her eyelashes like her hands were performing a dance. She made it look absurdly easy and she knew eventually it would be easier for her too but it would take practice and time away from pranking which was a sad thought.

Holding up the lip glosses, Atlas opened her mouth to give her pick just as Alexis quickly decided on Coral as she turned back to her mirror to apply it. Lip gloss seemed easier enough as you didn't have to mix colors, Atlas thought to herself as she shuffled through the makeup box til she found a gorgeous dark purple one that pulled her focus.

Pulling it out of the box, Atlas carefully twisted the top off as the wand came with it. "Oh look a tiny unmagical wand!" Atlas exclaimed letting out a gentle chuckle as her nerves started to settle. Waving the wand in a haphazard fashion, Atlas felt the lip gloss wand connect with the mirror as a large streak of purple was pulled across the glass. "Ope...my bad..." She said her face not matching her words as a giant smile pulled from her cheeks.

Placing the lipgloss wand back in the tube, Atlas jostled it about a bit before removing it once more as she rested her elbow on the table to get a steady hand as she painted the purple color over her lips just imaging it all as a picture she was coloring that she didn't want to get out of the lines. At the crease just below her nose she felt a small panic but exhaled soudly taking her time as she carefully followed the lines of her lips making sure to fully cover them in the color.

“Backpacking sound interesting. I might have to try it sometimes. Where do you recommend?”
Alexis inquired as Atlas put down the lipgloss to concentrate. "I love Germany. The food, the culture...the landscape..." She replied closing her eyes to picture her last adventure there. "Any place you go will be magical as traveling is so rewarding."

Pulling her focus back to the day, Atlas opened her eyes as she picked up the eyeshadow brush rubbing it in the orange as she mirrored her eye with its bright color. Adding some red and purple, it seemed to be far too much makeup but from wearing nothing every day any amount would be a lot.

"Uhhh how's this?" Atlas replied turning to face Alexis. "Anything to fix?"

"Oh mascara right!" She interrupted as she shuffled through the box finding a tube labeled mascara as she slowly painted her eyelashes mimicking what the young girl had done just moments before to eliminate getting it on her eyelids. "Okay, how about now?" She inquired once more turning to the girl.

"Does it still look like war paint Tebo?"
She called behind her turning to also show off her face to Ethen.

The little Ravenclaw rarely dabbled in makeup and such. Even with her mother, the most the freckled witch has gotten from her was the instructions that she gave to Breana to the Blossom Ball, and even then she just had her tiny fingers and a couple of tissues to work with it. It wasn't the best, but it was a good first try for her. She glanced over at the Hufflepuff boy, curious with how he knew what brush to use and trying to figure out what brush is which. Whenever Quinn would catch Breana staring at him, the timid little girl would quickly avoid eye contact as quickly as possible. Even if none of her parents would pressure gender norms unto her, it is natural for the girl to think that she has to fit into the mold society has built up around her. She should know such knowledge! ... Right?

Breana turned her attention to something else, something more calm and fluffy. She rarely meets any domesticated cats before. Usually, she encountered the usual neighborhood cats that scuttle about in the alleys near her home. Maybe a more domesticated on would be easier to befriend? The little Ravenclaw gave the pet kitty a small wave before looking back down to Caradoc's head, continuing her braid work. The Hufflepuff Professor's hair is more... poofy than she expected. Not that it's a bad thing, but Breana was more used to her father's type of hair, which was very coiled and long. She had a lot of hair to work on with him, so the Head of House's head of hair was proven to be slightly difficult to braid for the 11-year-old. Still, Breana is up to the challenge. It's just hair, what could possibly go wrong?

... Well, something did go wrong, in a sense. As Breana was finished with the first braid, she realized that the braid was too short. It only ended at the side of the professor's head. Okay, okay, it's no big deal. She can fix this. Maybe a second braid would help? After a couple of minutes of braiding the Badger Father's hair for a second row, Breana then realized that the braids still look ridiculous, even more now since the braids end with a cute poofy tuff. Oh, dear. Maybe tying the Head of House's hair like a pineapple would salvage it? Slowly but surely, the hairdo slowly took form, and it made Breana's baby doe eyes grow wide in horror.

Saps, on the other hand, is having a more relaxing time compared to his mistress... at least for now. One would catch the fat croaker blinking his eyes slower than usual, most likely drifting off to sleep. Then he noticed the fellow familiar, Irene. The silver-haired cat was the first pet the frog has seen, so when the both locked eyes, Saps has seen... something in the feline's eyes. Is it hunger? Curiosity? Unfortunately, this fat lump couldn't distinguish it, so he could merely deduce that Irene is a medium-sized threat. So he did what any big amphibian would do: He changed his stance into defense mode, and with it, he blew up his throat as large as he can to try to scare off Irene away.

Percival raised a brow in a joking manner as Hanako joked. It seemed like Hanako wasn't necessarily upset at being dragged to get a makeover. The boy's revelation brought a feeling of hope as he wondered if the two were finally back to normal. Ever since the incident at the lake, both boys had been slightly more on edge around each other. Sure the two had still interacted with one another, but it had felt like he had to be on guard.

One thing Percival did not want was to break down in front of the other again. He had already cried three times in front of the other, and it was one time too many. The boy didn't want to be seen as weak, and in his mind, he reinforced this idea. Percival had vowed with himself that he wouldn't cry in front of the other anymore. It honestly did nothing to help either party.

"There are other benefits you know. It says it clears your pores and balances your skin." he said with a small smile as he explained the apparent things this product could do for one's skin.

Percival watched as Professor Jensen quirked an eyebrow at him. The boy began to wonder if the Professor was really about to deny him. In his mind, the boy tried to convince himself that he didn't care what she said. Yet, his heart stung slightly as he waited for the incoming denial. The boy was fairly certain at this point as she glanced down to the tub of facemasks. Percival stared at the Professor barely even hearing Hanako's laugh.

The boy did his best to prepare for the blow to his ego. His mind whirling with ways to show that he didn't really care what she said. Even though he did. Percival's eyes brightened in a slight surprise as Professor Jensen agreed. It had obviously been an option, but an option that the boy hadn't expected.

Percival could not help the grin that crossed his facial features. The boy quickly went over to the Professor, and quickly painted on the blue colored mask. Thankfully for Percival's art skills, it was not difficult to paint the mask on. Once the boy had finished painting on the mask, which only took about a minute, he stepped away from the Professor.

"Alright the Mask should be left on for..." he started the boy walked away from the Professor grabbing the mask bottle he had left on one of the tables. "Twenty minutes or until it is dry." he finished with a small nod.

Percival snickered as Hanako gave the teacher a cheeky grin. "Hana I don't think anyone can ever reach your level." he snickered. The boy raised an eyebrow as the other reminded Percival his face still wasn't painted. Percival rolled his eyes at the other before sitting down in front of the other.

The boy leaned in closer to the boy as he painted the facemask onto the other with quick even strokes. The last thing he wanted to do was accidentally drag the facemask into his hair or eyes. Like Professor Jensen, it did not take very long for the mask to be applied to the other's face.

Once Percival was finished he swiveled to face the mirror. It seemed like second nature to not expect the other to return the nice gesture. Percival dragged the brush up and down his face painting his face the same blue color. Now in the room, three people had faces painted the blue color.

He decided that it was now a good time to spring the invite on the other child. In his mind, the other was in a good mood which meant he possibly had a better chance of receiving a yes. "Hey Hana, I did want to ask you something really quick." he started trying to gauge the other's emotions. Percival reached behind him to his back pocket where the invitation sat. It wasn't difficult to drag it out of his pocket and hold it out to the boy in front of him.

"My family is hosting a celebration for my cousin's first birthday, and I get to invite one friend. I was wondering if you would like to come?" he asked smiling.

The fact that the girl was able to respond to his playful tease with a grin and to take it in stride was something that impressed Jack. In his meager experience with Ravenclaws, they hadn't seemed to have too much of a sense of humor; showing a tendency instead to take things literally and seriously. This one, however, was obviously different if her choice of nail polish was anything to go by. It peaked Jack's curiosity and caused him to wonder if she'd picked it for any particular reason.

Despite wit supposedly being one of Ravenclaw's renowned house traits, the Slytherin hadn't really met many other eagle students of their year who he thought exhibited all that much of it. The brunette's quick comeback, though, only seemed to confirm Jack's prior suspicions that she stood out from her fellow housemates - at least by his standards. The more she spoke, the more his opinion of her steadily rose. In fact, it ended up rising so high, he began to feel downright intimidated.

Just as he was about to respond to her thanks for his aid, she caught him by surprise, disarming him with the pleasantness of her genuine smile combined with the extremely astute observation of his spell being one that second years, not first years, were taught. Even among Ravenclaws, Jack had not expected anyone to be so sharp. It was one thing to be observant and pay attention, but it was a whole other to notice what you weren't specifically looking for.

For a rare moment, the one who some called 'chatter fox' found himself scrambling for words. "Uh...I, er..." Face flushing in embarrassment, he scratched the back of his neck with a sheepish smile, hazel gaze deliberately avoiding her aquamarine. "...I sometimes help out a second year with charms," he blurted eventually, allowing himself to peer at her again out the corner of his eye.

He was honestly both surprised and once more impressed with her lack of protest at his casual act of seating himself beside her, though he was starting to wonder if maybe he was getting himself in over his head. It was so peculiar to find a girl - no, to find anyone - who didn't seem to take offense to him immediately, even when he wasn't trying to tease them.

He wished the color in his cheeks would fade quickly, but by the heat he felt in his face, it wasn't going to dissipate any time soon. Clearing his throat in an attempt to at least sound like he'd regained his composure, he replied amicably to her offer to find him a suitable color. The warning about the promise she told him she couldn't make earned a hearty, honest laugh.

"I would be honored if you would assist me in choosing such a color," he answered with a gleeful grin. The question about what he was trying to ward off caused his eyes to twinkle with mischief. "Are idiots not a kind of creature all their own? But you're a Ravenclaw, aren't you? If anyone would know anything about warding off idiots, I'd hope you would."

He put his hands on the table, presenting his nails as if submitting himself to her mercy. "Thus, I put myself in your care, Ms. Enigmatic Eagle. I hope you'll be gentle with me. It's my first time, you know."

Jack watched, amused and entranced, as she continued to paint her other nails. Was she really planning to paint them all that color, then? Intriguing...

"What am I - ? Oh," How did she keep catching him off-guard like that? Maybe he was just out of it today. Or maybe she was just the first new student in a long time to give him so much to think about upon their first meeting. "Hahaha...that makes two of us," he chuckled at the mention of her not knowing about makeup. "I just thought I'd play with the face paints a little. I thought it was interesting how certain colors, highlights, shading, and contours could really transform the look of someone's face. But I'm always happy to learn what I can, regardless of whether it's about face paints or nail polish."

"Oh." Dee didn't really know what she had expected - some stirring story of how he had learned advanced charms? - but that was disappointingly mundane. She shrugged, the smile easily slipping back onto her face. "Guess I'll have to thank that second year, then," she noted, amused. "For enabling you to come to my rescue. Send them my gratitude, will you?"

As she looked at the boy again, she noticed there was an unnatural redness on his face. Was he sun-burnt, maybe? The sun was blazing down on them rather strongly that day, Dee supposed, and squinted up at it, wrinkling her nose. Both of them were on the pale side, so if he had gotten burnt... Maybe she should have put on sun protection today, but she always forgot, if no one nagged her to do it.

The thought was forgotten just as soon when the red-headed boy agreed to let her pick a nail polish for him. Dee brightened up, mischief entering both her eyes and her grin, and stood up to rummage through the box of little glass bottles again with her right hand, her left hand held aloft to avoid damaging the polish on the already painted nail. She tended to forget about that at some point which always resulted in... interesting patterns on her nails.
She even managed to keep herself from using it to brush a lock of hair out of her face, which had escaped from behind her ears as she bent forward, in what she'd consider an impressive display of restraint.

The little Ravenclaw laughed at his next words, bright and tinkling, and nodded in agreement, her eyes still fixed on her search for the perfect nail polish. "I suppose some of them are - I wonder if anyone has ever tried to study the stereotypical Gryffindor the way they do with magical creatures. That might give some interesting insights- oh." Delighted and with a flourish, she pulled one bottle from the box, which contained polish of an enchantingly obnoxious neon orange colour. It lacked the glitter that hers had, but it would clash delightfully with his red hair, and if she'd ever seen a colour that screamed "Danger! Stay away!" at anyone who made the mistake of glancing at it, it was this one. "That should do," she said, entirely satisfied with the result of her search, then shook her head. "I wonder who decided to turn that colour into nail polish. And why."

His title for her made her snort lightly as she set the small glass bottle down next to his spread out hands. Dee enjoyed both banter and wit, and this boy seemed to be able to offer plenty of those. There was also a spark of both mischief and curiosity to him that she liked - one that she shared.
"Well, I hope my choice is satisfactory, Mr..." Dee's gaze slid over the House crest on his robes. A Slytherin, huh. Although she'd found the Sorting Hat might have had a point putting her in Ravenclaw after all, she had always been a little partial to the House she had thought she would end up in. She also seemed to have a knack for meeting students of the cunning House, for better or worse.
"Shrewd Snake," she finished. Not the perfect adjective, but it would do. It wasn't like she'd describe herself as "enigmatic", either. "I don't believe in going easy on novices. Where's the fun in that?" Despite the teasing words, her smile was genuine. This was more fun than she had expected to have at this activity.

The tip of her tongue peaked out between her lips, held there in full focus as she finished the nails of her left hand, but his words made her perk up. Transform someone's face? That sounded interesting, and a lot more impressive than drawing a line on an eyelid and putting on mascara. Her bright blue eyes were full of open, sincere curiosity as she looked back up. "Do you want to show me?"

Lindsey arrived on the courtyard rather late. Most people seemed had finished making up when the time she arrived——she couldn’t see many students and teachers around.
Some were still staying, that’s true, but Lindsey knew no one and all of them seemed busy in their little group.
Never mind. Lindsey didn’t hate to stay alone, so she gladly helped herself with the cosmetics on the tables.
She hadn’t made up for herself before, nor did she know how to make up. But, as a girl, she was born to use the cosmetics, right?
Lindsey casually picked up a bottle of nail polish. It’s of dreadful red. No, definitely not this one.
Another bottle there seemed alright. Lindsey soon found out her mistake.
Dear me, Barbie pink.
Lindsey wasn’t that type of girls that loved pink color, instead, she tended to like darker ones——the one that the “boys” preferred.
Orange…nope, too shiny…green? Maybe not…after about ten minutes of choosing, the young Hufflepuff had decided a rather beautiful color, lilac.
Lilac flower was very nice, and Lindsey heard that her mother wanted to name her “Lilac” before. But for some reason she didn’t know, it was denied by her father.
The light purple color was gorgeous. It’s not too dark, which would make a girl seemed rather evil, or too shiny, which Lindsey didn’t like. She gently opened the bottle and started to brush some on her nails.
Like this way? Nope. Lindsey tried her best to remember how her mom and aunt did makeover during family events. Her mother Carolyn wasn’t a huge fan of doing nails, nor was her aunt Yvonne. Aunt Yve had never appeared with colorful nails in Lindsey’s memory, and her mom, simply didn’t have any nail polishes in her makeup room.
The young badger felt very nervous when brushing the polish on her nails. What if she couldn’t wash them down after the event? And what if the professors told her not to wear them?…
It was a huge innovation for Lindsey. She stared at her long fingers, which were turned lilac color on the top, rather awkwardly. To her surprise, it seemed…quite nice.
She now understood why adults do makeups. Some women loved to polish their nails, and appeared on the street with bright hands, attracting everyone in sight (not because they were beautiful, but just because the brightness of their fingers).
Lindsey decided that she’d persuade her mother to do her nails when she’s back home during the summer. It would be great on her beautiful mom, she was sure of that.
Now it’s time for make up, which was certainly a lot more difficult then nails.
She looked at the mirror with uncertainty. Lindsey was almost certain that she’d turn up as a bloody ghost after she finished her makeup.
But, she’d got to try. Lindsey Springhall was never afraid of anything and would never admit that she could not do everything very well.
The girl picked up a lipstick. Bloody red, again.
She sighed, and picked up another one. Bright orange. Lindsey threw it to the other table. She’d not gonna use it.
At last, she found the perfect one——pink red. It wasn’t too bright, nor too dark, again.
Although pink wasn’t her cup of tea too, she accepted this color happily——you couldn’t find a lilac lipstick on a normal makeup place, could you? She thought.
At least, Lindsey hadn’t seen anyone appeared on the street with blue or purple lips——maybe only people in the muggle movies would did markups like this.
The young badger moved in front of a mirror. She looked critically at it, and suddenly smiled.
Lindsey remembered learning drawing in the muggle primary school. The teachers were very kind, and they taught the children to draw on simply everywhere——in order to release their imagination. So she could just imagine this makeup as a painting too——only, it’s a one on her face.
She slowly begin to “paint” her lips. Nice work, Lynn. She said to herself, after carefully examined her work.
Lindsey began to try something harder after this success. Some eye shadow would be nice.
She picked a light blue one from the desk. Although it was, well, rather a bit vulgar, Lindsey was eager to give it a try.
Lindsey carefully painted some on her left eye. It matched well with her brown eye with a dash of gold now. She then put some on her right eye, but unfortunately, she had made it rather heavy.
She had to find some tissues for it. After rubbing some colors down, her eyes seemed better with the strange blueness——a light blueness, she promised.
It was so much fun. Lindsey now tried simply everything on the table, and added many different elegant and beautiful colors on her face. She tried to put some on her hands too——but that seemed inappropriate for such a great event organized by Professor Jensen, right?
After some times of experiment, she finally ended up with lilac nails, pink cheeks, blue eye shadow, and pink red lips.
Lindsey examines herself again in the mirror. This time, she giggled.
The girl in the mirror seemed interesting——not very ugly, though. But, it seemed that her first experiment of makeover and manicure failed, cause Lindsey was now…rather a “bloody ghost”.
However who would mind that? She looked over, seeing others making up too. Some did it successfully, but some, just like herself, somehow made them ended up pretty interesting.
Good. It would be time for Lindsey to leave.
Washing up her hand nearby, she looked at herself again. The last time, Lindsey promised.
She was very glad that she finished up her little game. Makeover wasn’t that difficult, if you seen it as painting on your face rather than on a paper.
That’s the case for life too, she guessed. Everything wouldn’t be difficult if you saw them as something you already mastered. That would make life a lot easier and merrier.
The Hufflepuff walked happily back to the castle, while took the last look of the courtyard. This errand was fun, and she really hoped that the professors and prefects would hold them more often.
