"Can I play too?" He would ask @George Henry smiling. He would say and he would glance at George at once again, he had trouble looking at people in the eye. In his culture, it was considered rude to do so if you looked in someone's eye. It was seen as a confrontation to those. He certainly was not a weight lifter and he was a bit worried. He did not want to look weak at all nor did he want to look like a sissy or complainer. He was a tad bit worried, to be honest. "Can I partner with someone too?" He would ask louder and he cast a glance at @Willow Anderson , @Jack Warren , and the few others.  Right now it seemed like an uneven amount of people.  He wondered if they would even look at him or even talk to him, so far they were in their own friendship circles and it was a bit of an annoyance. He certainly hated voicing his opinion or actually having to talk to people who were a lot of charismatic or a lot more socially inept than him. Now he felt very embarrassed over it and he would sigh.

Knuckleheads? Alan glanced at the tall kid and his eyes widened slightly. "I-It's not l-like any o-of this was p-planned!", he huffed with an amused snort, shaking his head slightly. Before nodding pointedly at Jake with a light mood, exposing the culprit. Well Jake was at fault for George, whereas the latter was responsible for pulling Alan into the pool as well.

Alan watched Willow arrive back at the pool and she hugged him quickly in a greeting, which he returned in an instant with a bright smile on his lips. But he was quickly distracted by Jake struggling to stay long enough above the water to speak to them, the water reaching just below his nose allowing him to at least breathe without difficulties. Talking however... Alan couldn't snicker warmly at that as he slowly stitched the pieces of sentences together that Jake spoke whenever he hopped out of the water. When Jake pointed out that the two of them had yet to take their clothes off, Alan sighed shaking his head at the a lot smaller Hufflepuff, but it was clear this was all jokingly and that Alan was not actually bothered by the question; the upward twitch at the corner of his lip was quick to expose his actual amusement during this whole situation. But admittedly he could already feel the cold creeping through his body with the clothes that stuck to his skin like a second layer dragging him down with their heavy weight. Meanwhile George complained to Willow about not getting a hug, while the girl climbed back into the same position he had seen her in, when he had arrived at the pool; on the other kid's back, whereas the curly haired girl he had seen at the Talent Show joined back into their small group of people. George luckily had told him her name, Breana and how he had saved her from falling from a broom, which Alan thought was super cool. While George had been playfully raging about the fact that Willow had not hugged him, he splashed a fair amount of water into the face of the Gryffindor and Jake, making the third year squeak in surprise before pushing a handful of water back at the Hufflepuff in revenge, with a skittish grin on his face as he did so.

Breana and Jake began to discuss what game to play in the water and they quickly decided onto chicken game. Alan had no idea what the rules for the game were or if there were any; all he knew was that people teamed up while one person was carrying the other and then the teams would battle? He supposed he could just go with it, even though he was a bit nervous about it. But before he could worry any more, George began to lift Jake onto his shoulders and Alan reached up to loosen his cloak that he was wearing above his red shirt and the black pants. Pulling out of the sleeves that clung to him turned out to be quite a task, but he managed it within seconds and tossed the soaking piece of fabric over the edge of the pool before reaching down to take off his sneakers and socks, because he already felt awful with the feeling of wet socks in shoes and had them join his cloak outside of the pool. Now he stood there, dressed in slim pants and shirt as he turned to look at Breanna, while George excitedly shouted at him to lift her. He nervously pulled his lower lip between his teeth, adding a slight amount of pressure on them, before he shook his head in determination and lowered himself so that Breana could easily climb onto his shoulders now. "I-Is the goal t-to just shove J-Jake off?", he asked curiously, before glancing over to Willow and the tall kid he did not know, wondering whether they would join the game as well.

Another kid joined them, one that Alan was not familiar with as he waited for Breana to climb onto his shoulders. Craning his neck a bit, he managed to keep it above water level without an issue. "S-Sure, y-you would j-just need to f-find someone t-to play with I th-think? Th-then you can j-join...", he offered kindly, not wanting to exclude the boy and hoped none of his friends would mind either. "O-Or you c-can sit out the f-first round and w-we rotate!", he murmured helpfully.

Finally, all of his friends were in the 'pool.' Jake annoyance showed, but it subsided when the littlest badger saw George in his soggy school uniform. Jack patted the boy's shoulder with a smile. "Oh, he totally deserved that, though." He couldn't even help but laugh at George's reaction before a stinging thwack of a soggy tie rang out. A flinch and a raised a fist followed after the whipping. The stinging wasn't even that bad, but he faked a grimace before raising a fist and decking George on the arm. "Well, maybe you shouldn't have been pushin' so hard!" He retorted playfully.

Jack hadn't even noticed Willow swim back up to the group and hugged Jake, and the Gryffindor he had only seen in passing. His head turned towards her the minute he heard the work string bean. The boy made a face at the name because he wasn't a string bean. Jack was big ol' strong boy, not a string bean. "They fell in. I've done nothin' wrong. They should have better balance." A noncommital shrug followed his words.

Without another word, she was already back on top of him. She must not be used to the tall height, considering how much of a pipsqueak she was. Plus Jack did have half a mind to drop her back into the water but was immediately called out by the soon to be victim. Did she just read his mind or something? Mind reading wasn't apart of the divination curriculum, right? His slight childish worry quickly subsided the minute games had been put on the table.

Jake didn't know any games, but a girl he had never met recommended chicken! Game on! Jack already had Willow on his shoulders, so that's a win win. "You wanna wreck these fools at this game?" He glanced up to ask Willow, before preparing to WIN!

There were so many of her friends surrounding her, it was bound to be a joyful afternoon after it seemed like the inevitable thing to go wrong had already happened, and was being helped by Ruka. From atop Jack's shoulders she felt powerful, for one she could take down Jack at any moment if she needed to, but as the new person in charge it gave her an advantage to see the rest of the pool to make sure no one died under her watch. She was taking the job very seriously.

Well, as seriously as she could as she began molding Jack's hair into a mohawk while people talked. Her attention was only grabbed when a couple of new people talked. "Hiya friends! The more the merrier in the game of chicken fight as long as everyone has a partner!" She had recognized the two new additions. Adohiro, who she had met right at the beginning, as well as Breana approaching who she ended up getting in that unfortunate broom situation in that George had yet to let her live down. A small wave was passed back as she finished the mohawk on top of Jack's head. It was an absolute masterpiece. She leaned around him to look at it from the front, before nodding in satisfaction.

Willow had started moving on to making pigtails sticking straight out of the top of his head before he glanced up and asked if she was ready to destroy the others in a game of chicken fight. She had completely zoned out focusing on the master styling that she was doing, but suddenly a fire lit within her eyes now that they had fully decided on the game. Competition. An adrenaline rush pumped through her and she smoothed Jack's hair back. It was game time, no fooling around. She cracked her knuckles and tried to be intimidating, but it actually kind of hurt and she winced. "Demeter and String Bean are ready for battle! Can that be our official team name? I think it's cute, just like us!" The compliment was offhanded, she was mostly the cute one in the pair It was another responsibility that was hard to carry on her shoulders.

As water began to splash around, some of it got right in Jake's face and even his eye. "Ow," the young Hufflepuff whined, wiping at his eyes with his fists and blinking out the water. Nobody was being careful...it was just why he didn't want to play with other kids in the pool in the first place. When it was Alan's turn to splash back Jake was ready, protecting himself with his arms and turning his body away from the danger even though nothing had been aimed at him.

But even with the splashing, Jake couldn't exactly be mad. Not when he saw the look on George's face in his dripping robes. Jake blushed guiltily as George picked at his wet clothes. He really hadn't meant to pull him in. He wouldn't have grabbed on had he known. George was definitely owed a better apology.

Jake looked at Breana doubtfully when she mentioned the Chicken game. He did know it. He'd never played it before, but not knowing how to play wasn't exactly what he was worried about. Marco Polo sounded a little scary, on account of you were either being chased, or you were wandering around in the dark looking for people that you couldn't see. But at least it didn't have the word 'fight' in it. Because "Chicken fight" was the real name of the game, wasn't it? Between that, and George volunteering him for mishaps inside of the common room, Jake really had a couple of bones to pick with his bunk buddy, so he raised his finger. "Well, wait, Georgie, I think---"

But Jake was much littler than his dorm-mate, and soon he felt his toes leaving the floor of the pool, as a newly re-energized George went under and grabbed onto his legs. Before he knew it Jake was out of the water and sitting atop his friend's shoulders, the cool breeze hitting his skin. "Hey!" he complained, trying to wiggle out of his grasp for just a second before realizing his perilous perch. Then he instead attempted to cling desperately onto his friend's head and stop from wobbling. After a little while he realized that George had a steady grip on him and that he wasn't going to fall. Still, he didn't like how it made him feel. Just because George COULD pick him up, didn't mean he had to. He hunched over trying to keep a cautious grip on his friend, alternating with wrapping his arms around his chilly body before quickly trying to hold on again when he felt himself losing balance.

But a funny thing happened. As George held him up and he began to feel more stable, Jake's protests began to turn to nervous giggles. He began to feel more secure on his new seat, realizing that he wasn't going to be dropped. He kept his hands lightly touching George's head so he would be ready to grab on at any moment, but allowed himself to look around. He didn't realize how high up he was until he looked over the edge (which luckily was a safe distance away). There was a certain sense of strength in being up so high and being much taller than on a normal day. This must have been what it felt like to be Quinn.

Riding on George's shoulders was actually kind of fun. How come that couldn't just be the game? Couldn't they skip the fighting part and just have a chicken ride? He was trying to work up the courage to suggest it, but all hope of THAT died with the excitement of the other kids. Willow declared her team ready for battle, and cracked her knuckles intimidatingly, and then there was no more giggling from Jake.

"B-battle? Guys w-wait...George what am I supposeda do?"
He was so dead. "W-Wait, okay, guys, go easy" he begged, stammering on as he saw the murderous glint in Jack and Willow's eyes and the excited gleam in Breana's. Jake gulped in fear. "Please, I don't wanna fall!" he whined, holding his hands out defensively. "Guuuuys!"

Breana couldn't help but squeal in delight as the group agreed to the chicken game. Oh, now it is on. Maybe it was that hint of Slytherin that she got from her mother, or maybe it's because whenever her family goes to the park her father encourages her to try to climb to the nearest tree just for the sake of saying that she did. Nevertheless, for some reason, the start of a chicken fight lit a fire in the girl's tiny behind. As George coaxed the third year, Alan, to join in and be Breana's partner, she didn't even hesitate and koala hugged Alan from behind. Laughing at her current position right now, she slowly and carefully climbed up atop of Alan. "There!" She hooted, flexing her tiny freckled arms for her victory on climbing on her partner.

She looked down at Alan as he asked for the mechanics of the game. "Yep! Basically whoever falls offa their partner is outta the game!" Breana then pointed at her flexed arm. "Don't worry, Al! I may be small, but I gots tenacity! Just keep me on your shoulders and we can power through the game." She then flashed a competitive smile towards Willow and Jack as soon as thy mentioned wrecking. "Oho, the only wreckage that'd happen is your buddy's body getting dumped back in the pool!" She hollered playfully. "Oh, team names, right!!" Breana quickly turned her attention back to her partner. "Wanna name our team? How about Rabids?" She said with an innocent look on her face.

Cupping her hands around her mouth, Breana bellowed loudly to her friend, "Woohoo! Go Jake!!" She pumped her fist in the air. "Don't worry, mate! Just don't fall offa George and you'll survive!" She encouraged, then looking down at George. "So ya ready to start? Alan and I are ready to kick butt!" She boasted excitedly, holding out her hands in a claw-like form, ready for the war that will unravel in the waters.

"It's called Chicken Fight, Jake. You're supposed to fight!" he said, with the most fearsome roar he could muster. George sloshed through the water. His agility was hampered by the weight of his wet outfit, straining his legs to carry both the weight of the wet cloth and Jake. Thankfully, his little badger brother was lighter than a pile of wet clothes, so George was able to keep him held high as he walked. It would definitely hurt their chances in the chicken fight, but George had so little faith in his fighting partner that he didn't bother to mention it. An unfair fight was just as entertaining to watch, anyway. Maybe more so, considering who the loser would be."Just keep holding onto me and then, uh... throw Willow into the pool."

He glanced up, seeing Jake's outstretched arms. Jake was doing himself no favors with that off-balance stance - he could barely hold on when he was using both hands! George compensating by reaching up and grabbing Jake's knees, lifting up his shoulders to try and make himself as stable of a seat as he could. He approached Jack and pushed forward with a graceless lunge, doing his best to joust the girl Hufflepuff off of his shoulders using Jake's outstretched arms as a lance. It seemed he was battle ready, although he forgot to announce it.

"We're ready too- ow," he said. In his haste to start the fight, he had bumped heads with Jack. He stumbled back a bit, nearly dropping Jake, though he leaned forward to compensate and even reached a bit further up to tug on his little friend's arm if it looked like he might fall off. "A team name? Uh... oh! Fantastic Beasts!"

He was quite proud of that. He reached up and gave Jake's leg a tap to draw attention to his coment, but he couldn't tell how the boy reacted, given that looking up would mean dumping the poor Jake backward into the water. He'd just have to trust that his friend liked it as much as he did.

"Battle stance, Jake! BATTLE STANCE!"

The third year got more excited for the actual game as he watched everyone prepare themselves for it, a grin showing his teeth as he slightly looked up once Breana had successfully climbed on top of his shoulders. This was going to be fun! He was slightly confused at the team name the girl suggested as he had no connection to the word whatsoever. When he heard about George's name his initial thought was that he should make his team name relate to that. He loved creatures and he aspired to be a Magizoologist, to tame them without breaking their natural habits. But he wanted to win this game and a smug smile curled his lips as streaks of competitiveness shone in his eyes. "What about B-Beast Tamers..?", he mumbled quietly, only because Magizoologists didn't sound as fancy or intimidating, hoping Breana would find the suggestion acceptable.

Her energy was contagious and soon Alan found himself nodding enthusiastically, "L-Let's do this!", he agreed as he watched George target the tallest couple of them in an instant, which was not a bad tactic. If they did their best to knock Willow off, they could focus on Jake with ease! He would steady Breana by holding her knees and march through the water with his soaked clothes, heading towards Willow and her friend, Stringbean as she had called him. Since he had no idea about the actual name, this nickname would have to suffice for now. "G-Get Willow d-down th-there", he chirped with a determined yet cheerful look as he steadied himself to give Breana the best chances to stay on his shoulders.
