My current options I’m considering for Silas this year are broken broomshaft, evasive maneuvers, fearless, foulplay, the martial artist, or the muggle condition
That's completely valid, I think I just got lucky that the specific abilities I want for Fawkes just so happen to be amazing with duelling and fits her narratively as well.

Foulplay sound like Silas lmao :wow:
Hehe yeah it does but it doesn’t have any use in duelling 😔
I already applied for terrible presence a few days ago for his year 1 ability which already reflects how awful he is, too, sooo~
Well if you are considering for both sports, out of the list EM would be best since it can be used in both

🙈 I’m so bad at making decisions lmao I get too attached to multiple options or get stuck in indecision and it always feels like so much more of a big deal than it actually is
For my first gen character Ruby I haven’t got her an ability since fifth year… she’s adult II now 😭😭😭 too many good options so I just simply ✨haven’t✨
You know what that's SO relatable 😂😭 Nance only got her ability so quick because i saw it and it just felt so right that I didn't even read the ones below. (because if I did I'd be stuck not making a choice for weeks 🤭). For one of my first creative writing projects years back it took me over 6 months to settle on a name for my main freaking character
Finally someone who is like me to the same degree 😭😭🙏 I didn’t fully decide on the names for Silas or Valeriy until the day I signed up for their accounts here, despite the fact that both of them were in the works for a year or two before that. The entire time I just couldn’t settle on their names 😭 kept going back and forth with different options

That’s the case for Fearless too though, which is the one I was leaning towards more a few days ago (and then I started questioning myself/wanted to be more thorough in making sure I wasn’t forgetting about a different ability I really wanted)

I've had a project on the go for a good...5 years. I decided the characters name about 2 weeks ago 😭😭 I kept changing it and changing it and changing it. I chose Nancy pretty quick, again it just felt right. Pretty sure 99.9999% of my writing decisions are just based off vibe and feeling

Tbh fearless would do well currently with how many people are getting TP after all 🤔 I did briefly consider it for Fawkes but considering her growing list of fears I don't think it would work 💀 So perf 2 it is for her :>

I'm actually loving writing Nance though. It's been ages since I've written someone quite as young as her

lol, when i made isla, i was not in my right mnd, but there is a lot of flexible plot so i still want to write her and see where she leads to

I didn't really have a problem creating Fawkes solely because I have technically been rping her since her original creation almost 5-6 years ago (she started as my online persona).

Raphael was really easy to pick a name, I kinda just went through a bunch and found something that sounded good to me and would stick in my head

Tbh I find picking out names to be easy. The hard part for me is giving them distinct personalities afterwards 😭

Also because TP affects allies as well and Silas will likely encounter more
It also fits him well and I have flavour for it that I’d enjoy writing
Hmmmm every time I think I decide though my brain goes “but what about [this other one]! and you only get a limited number of abilities so be careful”
