Name of Ability that you Are Applying for: (applying for all of Nadira’s abilities, sorry for the large amount of stuff to read)
Apparition - 7th year
Reducio
Over the years, Nadira had learned to drive a muggle car from her father, learned how to ride a broom, something she had truly enjoyed learning, and traveled from here to there in a variety of ways via muggle and magical means. While there were many ways to get around whether magical or mundane, there was still one way she had yet to be able to do. Being able to apparate at her mind’s will. Being able to go from one place to another place by just focusing her mind would allow her to do so much more with her time and waste less time on the hassle of travel since this would only require her mind. It would also prove useful to be able to travel between Uagadou and home to visit her family whenever she needed to or wanted to. Being able to see her mother and father, her friends, or go wherever she needed to and then still be able to return to her position at the school was something she had set as a goal for herself, and she was determined to achieve it.
The classes themself were very informative, Nadira had no opposition to being in an extra class and in general loved learning. She was careful and diligent with paying attention and taking notes throughout the weeks of classes. At some point she became restless for the end of the classes to finally be able to put what she had been learning into action.
By the time the last class came and time for the final exams had finally arrived, Nadira was hopeful that she would pass. She had prepared very well and worked hard for this moment and she wasn’t going to leave the class a failure. When her turn came to show the official, Nadira stepped up, shoulders back, full of confidence. Upon her successful apparition, Nadira couldn’t help but be beaming, smiling from ear to ear. This success in the last class’s exam was followed by her obtaining the license from the officials. Once she had the license she celebrated by showing off the new ability to her family by apparating to her family’s home to give them the good news, enjoying a lovely home cooked meal made by her mother before sadly having to apparate back to her dorm back at Uagadou. Nadira enjoyed being able to apparate to different places, often using the new ability to visit the village easier or visit her family as it became an easier method of transportation for herself.
STATUS: Pending, Santiago, June 7th.
- Please provide more detail on how she used her newly acquired skills to successfully apparate.

Charmer - 1st year
Reducio
From the time she was young, Nadira had this effortless charm about her. She was like a bright ray of sunshine to her family and friends, even acquaintances whom she just met. Everyone was charmed by her grace, her poise and most of all her intelligence. Her parents always liked to say how uniquely special she was with how she was able to meet someone and almost instantly have conversation like they were a friend and were able to make them feel comfortable. She especially loved using her charm as a young child on her family. While she was an only child, she loved visiting her other relatives who would usually fawn over the girl and this usually also meant lots of treats and presents. Before Uagadou she had a group of friends near her home. The group of friends was brought together by Nadira, one after another being added along the way as she introduced them all to each other. There were little fights between some of them on occasion but using her charm she was always able to settle things so there was no tension.
During her school years at Uagadou, she was a radiant beauty and intelligent student. There were people in all different years who knew her, even if they hadn’t talked before, her reputation always seemed to precede her. She never thought of it as a bad thing, in fact, she more so used this fact to her advantage. More than a few times she was able to get away with some specific cases of mischief or sneaking out and was able to remain in the staff’s good graces by charming her way out of getting into trouble.
Multiple times she was able to charm her way out of getting in trouble when she would be out of her dorm room past curfew or when she would work her 'magic' on her professor so they would give her extra attention and tutor her on more subjects than those covered in class. She also was able to charm her peers, usually able to 'wow' and amaze them easily and effortlessly. During her first year even, she was able to charm her fellow students and was left as a favorite underclassman to the upper years at the school. Her personality was just so easy to get along with you couldn't help but love her and be infatuated by her smile and grace. This led her to being a favorite by many for invitations to parties and gatherings of all sorts where at she always dazzled her friends and people who didn't know her.

Nonverbal Magic - 5th year
Reducio
From the moment Nadira stepped into the amazing Uagadou School of Magic, she was entranced by all the magic there was to learn. Her grades over the years were always amongst the top students in her year, even amongst those in the potions speciality that she chose to specialize in. She didn’t mind putting in hard work to learn the proper incantations and even didn’t mind learning the more European style of using a wand with the correct movements. While not everything was easy going the first time around, over time she became a natural at the spells she had learned, practicing them over and over and putting them to use in duels or classes.
While studying she learned about skilled wizards who were able to use nonverbal magic and was always in awe as they usually could just do a simple gesture and their magic did the rest without even speaking the incantations.
Through her mother, she became rather close with a retired professor whom she had been studying under in an apprenticeship for her potions skills. While working with him she nearly begged for him to train her in the ways he was able to use his magic without speaking. Thus her training of using nonverbal magic began. She was forced to practice often and work hard towards getting the skills needed to master it. By the time her internship with the professor was ending she was able to skillfully use nonverbal magic in her daily practices. Being able to flick her wrist and have her spells work without saying anything was something of a dream for her. She truly felt like this new skill set took her magic to the next level and has since then been a helpful tool in her magical practices.
During school she was always testing out her nonverbal skills when she learned a new spell. It became a game with herself to see how long she would need to practice a spell before she could cast it without the need to speak the incantation, a game she became quite adept at over time. She also rather enjoyed a little bit of showing off the skill to her friends who did not know how to do it. They would always leave amazed by her control and skills as she would simply cast a spell so effortlessly compared to reciting the sometimes long incantations.

Wandless Magic - 6th year
Reducio
After her first instance of magic happened, Nadira was beyond excited to learn how to actually use the powers she had been gifted. When she arrived to Uagadou she began learning so many amazing spells, potions and everything in between. She had heard from her mother how, like the accidental magic she had performed as a child, many students from Uagadou were skilled in Wandless Magic. That thought had been in the back of her head since then and wanted to be one of those students who could excel to the point of only needing to give a simple wave of her hand and let the magic naturally flow from her fingertips. She was less excited about learning how to use a wand, although she did enjoy the somewhat dramatic nature of waving it. She would see many older students in her early years using wandless magic and it looked so effortless, she was determined to be one of them soon.
As her school years went on she started to understand the more simpler spells a lot easier and continued to work on her studies and continuously excelling. With her becoming more confident in her powers and skills, and getting more comfortable with the wand magic, she finally felt like she was ready to start learning how to harness her powers in a way that wouldn’t require that pesky wand. With a little charm and persuasion, Nadira was able to get one of her favorite professors to teach her tips and tricks to be able to get to the point where she would no longer need to use a wand and just her own hands.
Her first few lessons were not as smooth as she had hoped, ending more then once with her going back to her room frustrated at it not working. However over the time they worked together on it, she was able to finally get a handle on some basic spells without the wand. With a snap of her fingers or a wave of her hand she was able to open locked chests or levitate a book off the desk. This was very promising for her as she began to get more of a comfortability with it. Soon the magic effortlessly flowed out of her, something that felt so natural. Truly she felt this was the way magic was meant to be. Something that you could feel within you and rush through you, more personal than just waving the little piece of wood.

Perfectionist - 2nd year
Reducio
After growing up in a modest household, the only child to her mother and father, Nadira knew early on that she wanted to be the best possible. This mindset started with little things like wanting to achieve perfect scores on her tests in her early education and continued on in her education at Uagadou. She always had this immense desire inside, this need to strive for better and perfection. Even if she was among the top of her year it wasn't enough and she had to push to be even better, the need to be perfect.
Of course, this perfectionist trait was not just in her studies. When she played sports or did any sort of competitive activity she had to be the best with that too. Always aiming for perfection, always aiming for number one. People often wondered why she would push herself so hard, why not take breaks or go easy on herself every once in a while? Well, for Nadira, she had bigger aspirations than those of her parents who were content in their more simple lifestyle at home. She wanted to be able to do everything and anything her heart desired. And with those kind of aspirations and dreams for her future she knew early on that she needed to do whatever she could to reach them. Being a perfectionist does turn some people off to her, although not often as she usually wins people over with her kind and caring personality anyways. But even so, those around her either are worried for how hard she pushes herself or just plain jealous for what she has accomplished and wish they were as successful.
While most of the time her perfectionist trait was positive in the way that it pushed her into greater things, the draw backs came from her tending to spread herself out too thin. While she was still so young the pressures of achieving things weighed heavy on her even though she put that pressure on herself. She spent many nights awake for longer than she should have to study or perfect a spell, anything to achieve her goals. She would never show it to anyone, so even when people would worry about her she would just brush it off and tell them she was fine. With this pressure on herself she hoped in the end it would be worth it when she was able to achieve those higher positions, the high honors, and that maybe someday people would look at her in awe and be inspired by her.

Potion Mastery - 3rd year
Reducio
In the early years of Nadira's education at Uagadou she had quickly became fond of the potions and alchemy lessons. While many found it to be hard or maybe too rigid, she loved the structure and learning the potions process from start to finish. Her potions professor at the time had been a great help in encouraging her love in it as well, often times showing her their rare ingredients or potions they were working on. She enjoyed sitting and reading her potions textbook outside of class, usually always way ahead of where they were in their lessons as she couldn't stop herself from wanting to know everything there was to learn. To say Nadira was fascinated with everything to do with potions is an understatement.
Often Nadira would be found in the greenhouse or around the herbs and plants, studying the magical and mundane properties of each and keeping track of her own little garden of plants that she tended to in her own time for her own personal potion use. While she never strayed farther than what she had learned she was eager to get to that point in her potions studies where she could maybe one day create her own concoction. She loved to check out the village's shop that sold rare potions and ingredients. Usually she would save money just to be able to obtain an herb or plant that was rare or that she found curious.
When it would come time to decide on if she wanted to apply for one of the school's specialties or not, it seemed to be the easiest choice ever that she would choose to continue her work in Potions and Alchemy through the school specialization program. She often was seen as someone who could easily go on to do great things in the potions world if she wanted due to her fondness and clear skills. She was never one to do poorly on her potions and alchemy assignments and was highly regarded amongst her peers as the person to go to for advice or tutoring on the subject, especially among the first years she was a popular tutor with all her knowledge of potions. She loved being able to help other students with their potions questions and used it as an excuse to talk about her special interests in the rare ingredients and potions, although many weren't as fascinated with it as her. Sitting down to watch a younger year successfully brew a potion after she had tutored them meant the world to her and she only hoped she could continue on with her love of potions in the future.

When Gloria was 5 she desperately wanted a pet cat. So the next day the Shells went to the Magical Menagerie to get a family Tabby Cat, but on the way out of the store a problem came out of nowhere- literally. A buff dude Apparated right in front of us with a "tough dad" face on. "Hey, my daughter wants that cat more than you do. Give the cat here now." says the dad. He still has the tough face on and my very timid dad cowers down a bit, but my mom goes up to him and says "We got this cat first and you have no right to Buttercup now that we have payed." Says my mom with a slight smirk on her face. " If that's how you want it, it makes no difference to me whether I beat you up for that cat or not." Says the dad cracking his knuckles. My dad hunkers down even more, but my mom goes right up to him, sticks her finger at his chin and says "You better chill out or I'll call security!" "No, I will not." The dad says as he reaches for Buttercup. As I am holding Buttercup I back away abit and he misses his attempt to grab Buttercup. " Give me the cat now!" He roared, and a lot of heads turned to look but no one came to help deescalate the situation. His face turned a shade of deep red as he misses another attempt at grabbing the cat. He roars I fury and back me into a corner. " Give me the cat now and I won't hurt you." He says with the look on his eyes that says that he totally will. After a split second of hesitation I get an idea: I will stall him until I think of something else. So I start blabing random stuff. " You must really spoil your daughter if you willing to go this far just to get her a cat when there are plenty others still in the store. Like, actually, what did she say to you? 'Daddy go get me a cat that someone else just bought and scare them until it's mine!'" I stutter as I run out of things to say and he starts advancing on me. I panick and say the one thing that comes to mind. "Buttercup! Save me!" As I hunker down I feel Buttercup gracefully leap from my arms. A few seconds later I hear a tearing sound and peak out from under my arms. What I see amazes me: Buttercup has went and started scratching and biting the guy. I stand up, grab Buttercup and make a run for it, alerting athourities that he is injured. At home I don't think twice about how Buttercup followed my command, done perfectly.

Mary, along with other first years, made her way to the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch, in the middle of which, stood the flying professor, who’d appeared to be waiting for the students, to begin their first lesson of the year. Admittedly, Mary had tried flying before, her family owned a few child-sized old brooms, that collected dust in the lumber room for years on end, but when the waves got too big, and the wind was quick, the kids would take them out to play quidditch, or simply race above the beach – those were some of the best memories from Mary’s childhood. She loved playing Quidditch with her father, and he was probably the only person that actually matched her skill of Quidditch in the household. He’d always praised her, saying one day she’d become a broom prodigy, and she believed him. None of her younger siblings were as fast and agile on a broom as her, and her father, who’d already been quite old, had a hard time keeping up, but being athletic, and once great in his time, he could keep her on her toes for some time.
Making her way to the field now, she felt confident in herself, and her heart lacked any anxiety, as to approach the broom, pick it up, and fly on it. It all felt familiar, and she was strolling with a relaxed stride, chatting to other students excitedly.
After the group of students reached the standing professor, the lesson began, the eleven-year-olds were told how to act around a broom, and introduced to all the boring basics, that Mary didn’t bother listening to. The only thing on her mind was hopping onto a broom and darting up into the sky at full speed – she was so excited to start. Finally, they were ordered to pick up the broom, by shouting the word “up!”. Her broom was one of the first to shoot up, if not the first out of the whole group. It felt like a natural instinct, to catch the broom so quickly in her fist, and look at the sky with eagerness, as she wished the others would just hurry up.
Finally, once everyone was holding their individual broom in their hands, the students were allowed to gradually rise up into the sky, and fly around carefully, just above the Quidditch pitch. Mary flew up effortlessly, and the flying felt like a part of her, as if she was a bird. The Hogwarts grounds looked beautiful and grand from above, until the voice of the professor shouted out for her to lower down, as she was getting too high.
