Your RPG storyline idea : Pureblood relations. I’ll explain some backstory first: Before moving to England, Jun’s family always attended balls, social events and whatnot. The Mochizuki family is a well known, honored family in Japan and that reputation may have carried through Asia and over to Europe - however after her Husbands death, Reina (Jun‘s Mother) preferred to keep her daughter and her to themselves. Due to Jun being the only child, she’s the rightful heir of everything that belonged to her father (his wealth, his property, their home in Japan - it all technically belongs to her).
I‘m looking for someone that Jun might know from several of those balls or social events. Her mother currently works in the Ministry of Magic in Magical Law enforcement so her and your characters parents could have reconnected from work, met at a Work event again or similar. We could set a thread for Summer, where their parents arrange a meeting at one of their houses and the children are sent off to reconnect or similar.
This could also work with someone that has no relations to Japan as Jun traveled a lot with her parents, especially between Japan and England but also other places.

She doesn't feel well, she couldn't focus in class, and to make matters worse, she received an owl from her parents saying her mother was let go at the ministry. After classes/dinner is over, she sneaks away from the cozy friendliness of the common room to have some time to herself. In other words, cry despite her best efforts not to. Your character finds her and comforts her, starting a friendship. This could eventually turn in to something more, but that's all up to how the story goes, I guess.
