t!roll 1d20+your evasion

Verses the targets accuracy

t!roll 1d20+target accuracy

Example- you rolled a 15 on evasion and the target rolled a 10 on accuracy. You successfully dodged their attack. But- switch the numbers (for my example) you failed the dodge and got hit by the attack.

Let’s say (because I understand duelling over the rest) you got 15 and they got 15- it would be an impaired hit- whereas you partially dodged it- but still got hit- like getting grazed by the cats claws when you know he’s gonna scratch you and you move your arm but still get scratched but not as bad

What if the item is a falling object?

Edit: Basically, something kind of dangerous is falling and I want to know if it's going to hit me or not.

UHHHH I don't know- if it were up to me- I'd slap a DC on there- 5 for every weight- perhaps--- like a Piano could be 25-30? and then roll the evasion

But obviously I have never tried that so- x.x

👍 I'm not sure if that's how its done on here- but its how I'm understanding the DMG (dungeon master guide) for both 4e (fourth edition) and 5e (fifth edition) when it comes to-- rolling things like that-
