That's the best way to find what you truly believe. There have been times in the past (look at the Catholic Church during the late middle ages to early modern age in Europe to see) that the church doesn't get everything right. Back in the late medieval period and early modern age, the Catholic church was pretty much the only accepted church. Since they had no competitors, they took it upon themselves to interpret the Bible their own way. The people, having limited access to Bibles, began to believe the church and do what they said in order to be saved even though it wasn't necessary. That is why it is so important for us as Christians to read the Bible and see what God is really saying instead of interpreting it in our own way or listening to what others think it means.

Note: I am not saying anything bad about the Catholic Church. I am just using the early church as an example of what can happen when we interpret things our own way.

Welcome to the club, Theo!
hi guys! I just felt like I should share something a respected women in my church told me today, it’s not much of a surprise of what she told me but it is still a bit of a good surprise.

soo I’ve been in a Christian family my whole life, was baptized at the ripe age of eight, and I love to dance and sing. And, you see, it turned into loving to praise the LORD. I still love to praise Him, and my whole life I’ve been told many things about my worship. “Did you know you worship just like your father?” “Your worship is beautiful.” “I see you praising for Him.” And, believing in the LORD, I believed them. One time I cried when a little girl around my little sister’s age, whom I love dearly like my own sister, went up to one of the elders of the church and told the meeting about a word about my worship and I, that the LORD gave her. Anyways, during the meeting, this women, whom my family and I know very well, and keeps my crazy sisters and I in line, she came up to me, grabbed my hands, and took them in her own. She told me that she had a word for me, that God gave her, and a huge smile spread across my face. I love God with my whole heart, and I saw in the lady’s eyes what she said was true. Then it suddenly got really hot, because I saw a smirk on my dad’s face, and I really hate it when I get embarrassed, my skin just gets so hot, ugh, does anyone else get that? It gets so annoying but anyways... The lady told me that she saw me worshipping and praising for the LORD, and said to keep doing it. To never stop, and I nodded, my heart saying yes.

I just wanted to share that you can do that too. You can keep worshiping Him, and never stop. You can be His forever if you confess to Him that you want to be His, and confess that Jesus is LORD as He is the only, only way you can ever enter the golden gates of Heaven. Like Theo said, you don’t have to go to church or anywhere, to be a good Christian or really, any kind of Christian. Its literally just you and God. Keep seeking His face and keep worshiping him.
