First Year Graduation Party
Though Illowy had claimed that Mari was only singed, the Hufflepuff's skin said otherwise. The flames were extinguished, yet as Mari fingered her arm gently, all she could think was pain. The tears still flowed, and though Mari would like to say that it was because she wanted to spite her enemy, it was, quite honestly, because she was in pain.Interactions: @Hjørdis Jensen

She wanted to scream once more because of the presence of Illowy, but her eyes instead flickered in amusement to the new sight that was before her: the boy, whom she only knew as boyfriend. As soon as he made another effort to extinguish whatever flames were remaining, Mari attempted to speak to him - she even considered rewarding him with a real kiss, where she would do her best not to throw up - but the boy ran away before Mari could get a chance to thank her knight in shining...uh... robes.
Mari didn't really know what to do now. She wanted to leave, wanted to get out of this hellhole that was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, or at the very least, she wanted to get out of this dance. But how? Disco balls were flying everywhere, her enemies were nearby. Her best bet would have been boyfriend, but he had scurried away like the socially unaware weirdo that he was. Thankfully, her final rescuer came to aid and cast a protection shield, giving Mari the courage she needed to move onward.
"Um... I guess," she murmured to Professor. Her courage to leave had been granted, but she was, quite frankly, intimidated by the powerful presence before her. "I've...been there before."
Surely Professor Jensen knew; Mari had to be famous by this point. But Mari was smart enough to realize that this was not the time to go over her life's issues. Maybe, now that the Slytherin Head of House knew who she was, they could discuss why her exams had not been cancelled like they were supposed to. Mari still was baffled as to why her owl had not arrived and wondered if it had gotten lost.
Heck, of course she'd never actually ask the woman to meet with her. She may be a fighter now, but she hadn't quite gotten over one of her greatest fears: adults. But she was appreciative of Jensen, and hastily, in a barely audible breath, said, "Thank you."
Without a second's delay after these word were spoken, Mari summoned herself up from the ground, tears still flowing liberally. With every step, she winced in pain, still focused, however, on her final destination of the Hospital Wing. Only a few more steps, and she would be healed - for now. Only a few more days, and hopefully this nightmare of a school year would be over.
Mari Haynes has left the thread.

The door to the great hall opened once again, and Lamik, carrying in his arms two bottles, rushed in. As much as he would have liked to simply sprint towards the Professor, he knew that it was smarter to make sure there wasn't a disco ball flying at him. To his delight, things seemed to be somewhat under control. The disco balls that when he left had been smashing into things and electrocuting people were now bobbing in the air. In fact they seemed to be dancing, which was absolutely ridiculous. He searched the room until his landed on her. Saskia. Lamik breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she was safe from harm, and proceeded to sprint towards Nora. The boy didn't really care enough to check on Mari.
"I'm back!" Lamik said, resting the two bottles on the floor before holding onto his injured arm, which was now wrapped in a bandage. "The one that's not a love potion antidote is to heal the kids who were electrocuted. I figured you would want that too, even if you didn't ask for it." Even though he knew the situation was bad, Lamik couldn't help but feel a little bit proud of himself for making it back so soon.

First Year Graduation Party

{ Interacting with Lamik Fillestar, Caradoc Browne, Mari Haynes | Mentions Olphie }
How many times could the Slytherin Head of House think she regretted ever being here - or rather, allowing students to have a party? The answer was countless. She had so much regret right now. Nonetheless, she nodded as she listened to the young girl [MARI] who had gotten hurt in the fire. "Go now, quickly." She encouraged her as she kept the protective shield up until she could ensure that the girl could get out of there. She did not want her to get struck down as she tried to escape.
At the very least, she was glad that Mari was able to make it to the Hospital Wing by herself. That was one less student to worry about. Turning to see Lamik, she almost sighed in relief. The boy was smart. He had brought two potions - the antidote and a cure for the electrocution. She took the healing vial first and examined it for a moment. As a potion maker, she knew very well how dangerous it was to administrated a badly brewed potion - or worse, a wrong potion. Once she was satisfied, she gave him the vial, "Excellent. Administer this potion to as many students as you can." She instructed, tasking him with the responsibility of dealing with that whilst she dealt with the other nightmare going on right now, "Well done. I'll take that one and sort Browne out." She explained, taking the antidote.
From what she could see, Olphie seemed to have finally come out of the effects of the love potion. She had asked how she could help and turned her attention to the students, which was a good sign. Caradoc seemed to still be just following Olphie around like a lovesick puppy. Taking the antidote, she quickly made her way over to the two Professors, "Browne, drink this." She instructed, holding the potion out for him. But the man was under the influence. There was a good chance he would just ignore her presence or refuse to take it. If for any reason, he did not take the antidote and drink it on his own - or if Hjørdis suspected he was going to drop / push the antidote away and potentially break it - she would change her strategy.
Without warning, she swapped the antidote to her non-dominant hand and opened it. Raising her dominant one, she threw a fist directly into the side of his face as hard as she could. There was no holding back. The man was definitely stronger than her. She had no doubt about that. She needed a punch that would be strong enough to catch his attention, despite whatever was happening in his brain, or to distract him long enough for her to continue. If successful, she would grab his face and empty the contents of the vial into his mouth, trying to force him to swallow it. Hjørdis was just trying to get him to consume the antidote. Whatever the consequences of her actions, she would deal with that afterwards. She could not think about that right now - there were more important things to worry about. She needed him to return to his previous self. Nothing else mattered right now. The students needed him.

WHACK.
From a blissfull moment in time where he could stare upon her elegantly flowing hair and twinkling eyes, his face was met with what had almost seemed like bedrock. As if he fell from the sky where he had been dreaming, he was cast down with one knee to the floor. Both hands now held tight to the ground and kept him in balance, a fit of rage and confusion rippling across his body like a warm waterfall. Who... dared... to embarass him in front of her radiant gaze. Humiliation struck down deeper as a drink was forced into his mouth. Was this poison? A foul player in the game of romance that would rapidly make short work of the competition?
Slowly he felt the liquid seep into his body. The cold nearly shattering his blazing anger, as shock petrified his body. He tried to take a breath, but was weirdly interrupted by... sadness. An overwhelming blanket of deep sobriety channeling itself within. He almost felt his eyes grow dull and his face turn numb. He let his body sink onto both knees and stared downwards to the empty floor. But... what about love? He felt blind. The world was grey, and so... lonely. Where was Cassanora? Where was his daughter? He looked up only to meet colleagues and students. Memories slowly creepign in as his hand reached for the aching bruise on his cheekbone.
"Nora. I mean, professor Jensen. What..." He frowned as his eyes darted from the Slytherin Head of House to the Professor of Flying next to her. Miss Bercegeay... "And you..." He eyed her with shock and confusion. He felt lied to to by himself. The world he knew a few minutes back was just a lie. "I... I feel bad." He admitted to the room. A room, he now noticed, engulfed in chaos. Students on the floor and Jensen distressed. Was there a fight? He rose back to his feet and took a second to stabilize himself. The impact on his cheek clearly visible with a bright red stain, he stroke it gently. The look on his face would have been dreadful. He felt terrible and sick, almost as if empty. Drained.
Unable to mutter any word he simply looked towards Nora. A sign of Tell me what is happening even though his voice was lost for the time being. He took out his wand and firmly convinced himself to not look in Bercegeay's direction as memory dawned upon him. Frankly as sick as he was, in that moment she disgusted him more than anything. Hurt, like a dagger shattering through his back. Fierce humiliation desperatley trying to control his actions, but he would not let it. His hand clecnhed itself around the wandwood harder and harder.
If you're reading this... You're awesome.

As much as Lamik wanted to just sit down on the floor and rest, he knew that there was more work to be done. With nothing but a short nod directed at Professor Jensen, the boy picked up the cure with his good hand and sprinted towards the electrocuted boy. Kneeling besides Saskia and Tatiana, Lamik realized that he was going against what he promised the professor that gave him the potions in the first place- he was instructed not to apply the potions himself. There was no time for indecision though, so the young Gryffindor decided to listen to Hjordis instead.
"He was electrocuted, right? Where was he shocked?" Lamik asked, inspecting the boy closely and doing his best to find burn marks, wounds, or other injuries. Hopefully he was capable of figuring out how to apply the cure himself, since Nora didn't exactly give him any instructions. Still- whats the worst that could happen? Permanent brain damage? Death? It'n not like a poorly used potion could do anything worse then death, right? With that comforting thought, Lamik opened the bottle and shuffled a bit closer to the boy, ready to not leave this boy with anything worse then death.

First Year Graduation Party
Interactions: Open
A student with messy, unbrushed, green hair, wearing a black turtleneck under their collared shirt- which had a few brown stains (probably dried blood), was standing in the corner of the party, separated from everyone else. Alone.
Jay Victoria was kind of in a world of their own at the time. They were in a corner of the party just thinking, they were staring into nothingness. They weren’t bored, entertained, or anything, they rather felt... empty. There was a flow of many thoughts but there wasn’t an exact topic or meaning behind these thoughts.
They didnt even realize that tears where falling down their cheeks.
Lily Gray wasn’t there, and there were a lot of possibilities to where she could be, and Gray was Jays only friend so if she wasn’t there that would only mean one thing: Jay wasn’t going to interact with anyone as long as someone doesn’t encourage them to- and that would only be something Lily Gray would do, it wasn’t like anyone else besides her would dare to talk to a nobody like Jay Victoria.
Death?
Blood.
Roses...
Tears falling
Books
Jay continuously thought of not exactly random words-
Red flames...
Wait a second- Jay looked down from the ceiling with flying disco balls and saw a girl on fire. They simply stared, tears no more falling. It all felt fast. She wasn’t on fire. Things happened. Everything slowed down again...
and Jay felt completely alone again. They felt nauseous, the world seemed to be spinning- slowly. Their vision became blurry. That was quite a lot of stuff wasn’t it...? Jay walked to a wall and put their hand on it for support, just as they were going to sit down they fell against the wall and passed out.

When Norweigan suggested that Olphie force Caradoc to heal the injured students by offering to kiss him, she beamed brightly. Of course; that seemed like a reasonable plan. Everything was aligning perfectly. She had known that Caradoc would fall for her, finally, at this event, but she didn't realize how in love he'd be. It was the most perfect second date she could have imagined.
But before she could usher Caradoc away, the Gryffindor first year had run up to Yoldest and brought some potions to help. The Slytherin Head of House dictated directions, then said something along the lines of "I'll take care of Browne."
Olphie's eyes widened, concerned. Had it been that obvious that Caradoc had had an interception of her doing? She had thought he was acting fairly normal, that her little secret had remained undetected. Yet, it seemed, the Slytherin beauty had figured out that something had happened. As much as Olphie wished to demand her to stop, she did not wish any association of her with this act, so she remained mute.
She watched as the Hufflepuff man got down on one knee, thinking - hoping - that perhaps the potion that had begun entering his body was ineffective, that the love had transitioned from fantasy into reality. In a last-ditch desire to confirm her wildest dreams, she threw her hands to her widened mouth and boomed, "Well, it feels a bit too soon, Caradoc, but I'd been thinking the same thing! A proposal...of course I'd marry you!"
As he looked up, Olphie sensed, as her heart began to ache, that her dreams had failed. As he muttered those fateful words to her, "And you...," her heart ripped into a thousand pieces. She was now certain that her dreams had failed. She supposed that meant that the proposal was not a reality, but she was too embarrassed to say otherwise. So as soon as Caradoc declared that he felt sick, Olphie murmured, "I've...stomach. I've got to go."
It was a low for Olphie, one that she would internalize until she could forget the realities and create a new story, one in which Caradoc really did love her, he was just embarrassed for his actions of loving her over protecting the first years. So for the months after, the story would blur in her head, as she determined that any avoidance from the Hufflepuff Head of House was more due to an embarrassment of his actions and a feeling of intimidation when around the great Olphie Bercegeay. The blurring of reality was the only way for her to function in these times of emotional chaos; she had done it so many times before. Thus far, it had worked, but deep down, Olphie knew that it was only a matter of time that reality would catch up with her.
Olphie has left the thread almost half a year later.

First Year Graduation Party

Her fist connected to the side of Caradoc's face. Still clenched, long after she had released the contact, Hjørdis stared at the man. It stung a little but she ignored the pain or the fact that her knuckles were definitely turning pink. Guilt started to creep into her heart. She probably should not have hit him. Especially not in front of all of the students. That was a humiliation that she could not take away. Nothing she ever did after this would take that away. But in her moments of panic, she could not see another option to force him to drink the antidote.
It took him a few moments - which felt way longer to Hjørdis, who was just silently hoping the antidote worked quickly. He would, no doubt, feel terrible for a while to come. The antidote was not exactly pleasant. He just seemed lost and confused. But they were not safe yet. She had little time to comfort him. "Tend to the students." She instructed, "Those balls electrocuted them." Giving him the most simplest explanation she could. It appeared to be enough, as he seemed to acknowledge her words. "I'll stop the balls." She simply stated as she moved away from him, raising her wand and quickly stopping the nearby disco balls from hitting anyone. She went to focus on them, to ensure they did not take anyone else down so that Caradoc could focus on the few that already needed his attention.
It took her a few minutes but she managed to stop all of the remaining balls, whilst ensuring that the shields protecting the unconscious students remained up. As soon as the last ball fell to the ground, she turned her attention to the remaining students. The shields would drop, as she sighed a breathe of relief.
Lamik had been treating some of the students with the other antidote he had brought. Caradoc had taken care and tended to the remaining students from the looks of it. At least, no one seemed to be in immediate danger anymore. Thank the lord for an additional healer. Healers were much needed in this school, it seemed. "Get to the hospital wing, if you can walk." She instructed to the remaining students, who were conscious. With that, she waved her wand and started to pick up some of the unconscious students that had already been treated but had not woken up yet. They would be dragged to the hospital wing, where they could be properly treated.
With the help of any willing students, Caradoc and Hjørdis managed to get all of the stragglers up to the hospital wing shortly after that. They would wake up in the safety of the wing, nursed back to full health as though this were just a dream or a nightmare, rather.
