Campout
Staying in the burning forest was bad, the trees were collapsing and he could risk himself with getting buried with it. He wasn't dumb to danger, Reid just had a hard time accepting it at times. But his judgement was better and he realized he couldn't find anyone. Nothing smelled right anymore and he was starting to grow weak from the lack of air and blood, plus the heat wasn't helping. Instead of becoming a corpse, Reid did the smarter thing and double backed to safety. Hopefully no one was back in the forest, he couldn't bear to hear the following day that someone had been left behind.
No one was ever supposed to be left behind, at least that's what he believed. But right now he couldn't do anything and disorientation was slowly beginning to set in, it wouldn't be long till he would soon pass out. But before that happened, Reid stumbled out as far as he could before digging his knees into the cold grass. The heat lingered on him and a wave of exhaustion hit the young boy, he knew it was time to give up this fight for now.
He glanced up as he felt someone slip his arm across their shoulder and haul them up to a standing position. Reid glanced at the fire behind him, nearly wanting to stay and wait till the fire was gone. Orion and the others, were they okay? He couldn't tell and his legs were giving out on him as he glanced around. The person who helped him up nearly had to drag him as Reid did his best to look around and see if he could see the others. His mind was blank and he was still reeling from the shock he felt after seeing the others, the fire, and the aftermath. Nevertheless, the defeated boy was helped towards the hospital wing.
