Maybe I’m not walking through the magical halls of Hogwarts, but the magic that was in the castle you have bought to this site. With the dedication, support and the great efforts you have bought, you have made hio a truly amazing place.

It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to write for this, so excuse the lateness.

To all the heads of house, thank you so, so much for all the work you have put in over the years to make this site as great as it is. I'm more familiar with a few of you than others, but even though I only came back recently, I have seen all of you working tirelessly to ensure this was a safe, comfortable, and plain good place to be. I have more respect for you than I can ever express, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon. I wish you good luck in whatever you decide to do next.

My thanks go especially to Caradoc, Nora, and Marcus; all people who have had to put up with me and my antics for far too long. I know Marcus more as Aaron, so though I can't speak to his work as HoH directly, I can speak to the fact that he has always been such a warm, friendly, and fun presence. I hope you know just how much of an impact you've had. Caradoc and Nora, on the other hand, have had to deal with me when I was a child sticking my nose into places I shouldn't have been. Both of you have seen me do absolutely idiotic things as a 12 year old, and I cannot thank you enough for all the grace you always approached the matter with. Thank you so much for all the kind words, all the patience, all the advice you gave over the years.

This site would not be the same without all the time and effort you have all put in. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Dear HoH,

Thank you so much for always leading the site with steady hands and a calm, warm presence. All of your character accounts are ones to look up to—and I hope to continue to see them around the site. I've always seen Marcus and Nora answering questions, helping new staff members out, and welcoming them to the team. Caradoc, whom I mainly think of as Hugh, was a big reason (along with Nick) I'm a dedicated sports captain today. And Galahad showed Ruckus all the ins and outs of being on staff—the warmest welcome and softest landing I could imagine. Lesmana has an envious work ethic—I'm glad we'll still get to work together; I know he has some amazing ideas simmering for Potions.

I hope it's clear that you've all had a monumental impact on the site. I'm glad there are those of us brave enough to fill your shoes, or we'd be completely lost. I hope you enjoy your well-deserved free time and continue to write with us. Thank you for everything!

While I'm pretty sure I haven't had an IC interaction with any of you as of yet, I have been around nearly three years now and it's hard not to see everything you put into this site. Thank you so much for your time, your patience, your energy, your passion, your creativity, your responsibility - I can only imagine what being staff is like, let alone head of house. And even IC, all of your characters are people to be looked up to. I always rather enjoy lurking around and reading random (and less random) encies, and yours were a lot of fun! I know for sure Mahl is very much in awe of Nora despite rare encounters and the fact that she didn't stay head of Slytherin forever.

I will miss seeing your characters around the school, but I do hope you all can get a restful break from the responsibilities, you've definitely earned it! Thank you for everything you all have done for the site and its people

It's honestly incredible how you all manage to run a site with hundreds of active users while juggling real life. Between managing lore, reviewing staff apps, handling multi-accounts, and all the communication that entails, what we see in announcements must be just the tip of the iceberg. I can only imagine how many peaceful afternoons you've traded for site work.

Honestly, I don't know you all that well, but from the little I've seen, you've certainly done a lot and inspired many people. It certainly has done me though, for managing so much work and a student accounts demands and real life, and it seems you have risen up to this occasion magnificently.
