Final round… which team shall victory fall upon? That all depends if their spells connect. Both teams were prepared to unleash their attacks that will determine who gets the winners’ crown in this match. The thrill was in the air, even Raizel could feel it with how she’s grinning in anticipation of what will come next. There was silence, as if time stood still for a few seconds until it was broken by the sound of incantations from each duellists and then being followed by a loud bang and flashes.

The remaining Hufflepuff duo unleashed their final cracker jinx, not minding how repetitive their spells were for only one thing matters here: To win the duel. Flashes and crackles filled the air, perhaps enough to drown the crown that could possibly be cheering for any one of them. What happened to Jake though? He had so many misses these last few rounds. The nerves getting to him? If it was, that’d be understandable with their situation. Down to two members with no clear signs of who was winning. Even so, despite missing, his attacks were enough of a distraction for his remaining partner who had managed to hit the only senior on the other team. While not enough to knock him out, it took down a chunk of his stamina at least.

Hanako made his last attempt at a Confringo. It was all or nothing and this spell would secure their victory with how devastating it was. But what only fired from his wand was a spark and a sputter, failing once more. Even in desperate times, his magic and spell won’t even cooperate. Raizel knows that too well, reminding her of how magic had become unreliable. As if that was not enough, the second one to ever be brought to the Hospital Wing was the feisty Ara Villa, taking on the blast from the cracker jinx of the Hufflepuff duo. Her Flipendo was impressive, knocking the air out of Julian but he remained standing. Mahlioz must’ve been taken aback by everything that’s happening, throwing her aim off and hitting nothing but an empty space.

“Duel Over!”

This duel was something alright. Jake remained unharmed, Julian managed to hold on, Hanako failed his 3rd Confringo, Ara was second to go down and Mahlioz survived despite the horrible condition she was in before. Looking at both teams, their statuses, she already knows who to call as the victors of the duel. “Hufflepuff wins!”
