I'm just now finding this club. I'm not a Christian and I've done a lot of bad things in my life that is definitely not something God would accept. I question a lot of faith/religion but I also would like to be a Christian and be religious . I feel God wouldn't accept me because of what I've done, my sexuality etc. I guess what I'm asking is, is there anyway I can turn my life around, fix the mistakes I've made?

I'm just now finding this club. I'm not a Christian and I've done a lot of bad things in my life that is definitely not something God would accept. I question a lot of faith/religion but I also would like to be a Christian and be religious . I want you to know that god will accept you. One of the most important concepts for Christian’s is the fact that Jesus was crucified for us. On Christmas, a woman named Mary gave birth to the son of god. Jesus lived a perfect life, and when he grew up, he took on our sin, was crucified and died. After 3 days he came back to life. All of that happened so that you can be with him. Jesus does not care where you have beeen, he loves you anyways and will meet you where you are

This is actually what makes Christianity a bit unique, it’s completely centered on mercy and forgiveness and love. I completely understand where you’re coming from, I’ve been a Christian my entire life and still wonder if God will forgive me. The answer is 100% yes. I’m not fully sure how you personally need to turn your life around, and good place to start would be reading Matthew 5-7 which is the famous “Sermon on the mount” that was spoken by Jesus. It gives a good starting model for how to live your life. However, you in no way have to go to God after you turn your life around. God doesn’t need a perfect child, he wants a willing child, and it seems like you’re already there. Don’t wait to be perfect because Jesus is the only person who was ever perfect, and he died so we didn’t have to be perfect and so God could love us as we are.
