“ Oi oi oi!” Miss Flip being dangerously close to passing out had caught him off guard immediately. Sure, her unwanted comments and continuous attention to Stinky Pei pissed him off a couple of times. But he never genuinely wanted her to pass out while catching on fire. As someone who had a low tolerance of pain, he can only imagine being in her shoes right now. But his biggest problem right now is his loneliness. Who is he going to rile up if Miss Flip is out of the picture?! “ Oh my god.. The boredom..” he mumbled to himself, realizing his mistake in choosing to attack Miss Flip. He looked back at the girl with an annoying smile. “ Hey. C’mon now. You’re really going to let me get away with that, hmm~? No hard feelings at all? Aww haha you’re really too sweet~”

Another six seconds had passed by in the blink of an eye. In this blink, Roberta had felt time creep slowly. It was as if a week had passed by during this bit of time dilation. Fires were put out, new ones were started. Allies were injured, as were enemies.

One thing however remained unchanged. Spirits still stoked by the heat of fate's forge, Roberta's voice addressed Enzo and Lovanna. "I'll cover you," she commanded, and though her eyes did not turn away from her opponents, her voice was resolute in the information. Confidently, she stood upright and kept vigil. "Do not hide forever in this lonely corner."

While simply moving around the board wasn't quite as fun as actually casting, this was really the best option seeing their current circumstances. No spells came her way, but she watched as Percival managed to dodge two oncoming spells. Piper was still safely hidden away in the corner and at least she had managed to put out the fire that was on her robes. Starlee was still conflicted about Piper: Sure they needed her to win, but gosh it was fun seeing her on fire.

'Pull yourself together Starlee... eyes on the prize...' She thought as she tried to shake the thoughts of Piper totally engulfed in flames out of her mind.

Percival didn't know how long he could last at this point. The burns on his body were putting him in a world of pain and whatever happened to him earlier knocked the energy out of him. His only positive was the fact the fires had stopped burning for the first time in minutes. Looking unsteady on his feet he glared at the surrounding players and knew a bitter end was coming his way.

All he could do was stare blankly at the opposition, his throat too dry to even mutter a word as he stood weakly on his feet. The end was near for him, so it was only best to do something while he was still able to stand.

Despite her confidence in her spellcasting, it was unsettling being so close in proximity. For the duration of the match, two opposing in particular had been bent on bringing Greta down. Or so it seemed anyway. Even as Greta moved forward, it wouldn't be long before the dark-haired girl would start to wander back to maintain the diagonal in order to maintain a line of attack.Before the girl could vacate her square, however, a spell would be cast her direction. Not only in her direction either.

Squaring herself between her two opponents, Greta set her expression into one of resolve. A single incantation, but from it, two lines of line streaked forward. One towards the girl, the second towards the boy with a perpetually bored expression. It was a skill she'd first managed the summer prior, and one she'd recently been able to replicate at will. Unfortunately, with two projectiles came the need to split ones attention and aiming became increasingly difficult. With a suck of air and whine of annoyance, she watched as both streaked past their intended targets.

"I miss not on next one," she promised, brows furrowing as the girl dodged out of the way to secure a more advantageous position out of Greta's line of attack. Next time, it would land. But for now, Greta's attention returned to the boy, the only one that yet remained within her offensive domain.

At last! Piper wasn't happy about being cornered, but she had managed to extinguish herself for the first time in history. So she wasn't totally worthless; she could at least stay alive, probably. Another first was that the second-year was finally able to take a look at what was happening around her. Spells flew from all directions. Notably, one Viper had managed to Incendio a girl, who looked woozy. Piper felt a hint of a smile. At least they were close to getting one down. The poor boy in front of Piper had been on fire more than her in this round, and he swayed. Piper felt a small tinge of guilt for his suffering to protect her. Then again, he had signed up for it. The Slytherin readjusted her stance, preparing for next moves.

ROUND 7

The moment that spells started flying around, Lydia kept her eyes glued on the field, too afraid of missing one of the players fainting. All spells were successfully cast by both teams, but not all of them hit their target. The Slytherin team seemed to have married the bad luck that creeped over them, as two of their spells completely missed their target. Hanako was the only Slytherin that successfully hit their target: he aimed his wand towards the already barely standing Lovanna, and his Flipendo hit her right in her chest, sending her one cell back right after Roberta had excellently extinguished the flames that were still burning the unlucky girl. The moment that Lovanna hit the ground, Lydia raised her hands trying to get everyone's attention, "Everybody, stop casting!" she exclaimed and looked at Willow; the Hufflepuff Co-Captain, being closer to the fainted girl, quickly reached her and helped with removing her from the duel. Lydia mouthed a thank you towards her, before turning back to face the players. "Alright, you can continue!"

After that, more spells flew around: Opeila had tried to set Greta on fire, but the girl had absolutely no intention of being hit, and she easily and effortlessly dodged the spell; Piper, from the safety of her position, decided to aim for Yefim that so far had been spared from being targeted, but her Flipendo never reached him. Almost as if it was a payback, Yefim had set his eyes and his wand on his target, and his Flipendo hit the poor Percival on the shoulder. The Slytherin boy didn't look too good, so Lydia made sure to stay nearby, just in case someone else decided to target him. Almost as if they had read her mind, Enzo also targeted Percival, that was hit yet again by a Flipendo, that rendered him unconscious, just as he was about to switch places with Starlee.

"Everybody, stop!" Lydia paused the duel another time, and quickly helped with removing Percival from the field; after that she gave the signal, and the duel started once again. Even though Percival had fainted, Starlee continued with the plan and moved onto the cell that the boy was previously standing on, placing herself between Yefim and Piper.

Both teams were now one player short, who knows who will come out as a winner?

The opponent's queen truly was sweet. Using her 1 action to save an almost fallen comrade was admirable in Hanako’s eyes. Unfortunately for them, Hanako slowly realized that talking to someone who was this close to fainting wouldn’t do much to his boredom. Could she still have the energy to retort back to him? They’ll never know because Hanako just flipped her again. Between being bored for a few more minutes and getting an earful from his teammates, the latter was more tedious to go through. Plus, Miss Flip Lovanna was hiding a much healthier-looking Hottie behind her Enzo. Perhaps he wouldn't be so bored if he took a few steps closer to him.

But alas, it seemed like fate had other plans. Before sending a series of more flirty gestures, bad news had struck his team. Contributing to the fall of Percival Grey lost the Hottie -150 affection points. Therefore, Hottie’s rank has been reduced to Hot-Not Enzo. Sad rank to be in. Hanako wasn’t close to Percival, but seeing him being taken out of the game didn’t feel great. Was this how the other team felt when Miss Flip Lovanna was taken away as well? Good! Both teams can emotionally suffer for their loss.

This round was perhaps the most exciting and stressful of them yet. Spells went flying from all sides. Unfortunately Piper's and Opeila's missed, but Hanako's hadn't, and he managed to knock out the girl he had cast at completely, pushing her backward and to the ground. She was removed from the field, and spells continued. Starlee was excited, one person out was a great place to be - one less person casting at them. But it wouldn't last.

Their teams luck resumed to its low levels when Percival was hit, not once, but twice, to where he was knocked out as well. She had hoped Percival would be able to make it through just one more round, but alas, it seemed it was his time to go as well. She waited as he was removed from the board as well, and took her place in his spot. Now the field was even again - four vs. four. 'Must push onward.'
