Result: Cecily wins the first quaffle grab. TP = 4 so she auto-misses. No points to Ravenclaw for this attempt.
Quaffle Grab Attempt 2
Cecily proceeds to attempt quaffle grab: 1d20+14 = 11+14 = 25
Melissa proceeds to attempt quaffle grab: 1d20+7 = 8+7 =15
Alan proceeds to attempt quaffle grab: 1d20+9 = 18+9 = 27
Result: Alan wins the second quaffle grab. TP 1d100= 54 and does not auto-fail. Attempt was uncontested, Alan scores.
Quaffle Grab Attempt 3
Cecily proceeds to attempt quaffle grab: 1d20+14 = 3+14 = 17
Melissa proceeds to attempt quaffle grab: 1d20+7 = 18+7 =25
Alan proceeds to attempt quaffle grab: 1d20+9 = 18+9 = 27
Result: Alan wins the second quaffle grab. TP 1d100= 55 and does not auto-fail. Attempt was uncontested, Alan scores.
Again with goals unguarded, whichever team gets the quaffle should have no problem scoring points for their team, however this was not the case. With a start, Cecily and Melissa raced off towards the balls, followed by Alan, however there was not much challenge here as Cecily reached the ball long before either of the other two. She raced towards the Lions goals, but something shook her resolve. A presence that had continued to permeate the field all game. She tossed the ball but if fell short, barely making it a few feet before falling.
Alan was prepared this time, taking the next two quaffle grabs. He raced to the goals and scored an easy 20 points for Gryffindor, one again proving his skill on the pitch.

Gris' roll for calming presence: 1d100 = 99. She is assisted and auto succeeds.
Lavina/River take 11x75 = 825 damage. They are left with 350 HP and are not knocked off the broom.
Lavina/River attempts to blatch Evelynn using Parkins Pincer with Bloom and Gabriella.
Evelynn is doing a spiral dive, so any attack made on her will be at a disadvantage to Eve, with the lowest evasion roll being used.

Melissa takes 600 HP damage: 500-600 = -100HP. Melissa is knocked off her broom.
The Gryffindor pair of beaters continued to be a force of nature, the sound of thunder roaring through the pitch as they both again targeted the same player. This time it was the pair, Lavina and River. Gris made the first attack, landing a solid hit to the body of Lavina, nearly knocking her off the broom, but perhaps by the combined grip of River, they were able to hold on.
Attempting to escape the brutal attack from the Lions, Lavina and River raced off. If one had been paying attention, they would have noticed Bloom and Gabriella closing in on the sides of Evelynn. Unable to escape from being squished between the pair, Evelynn could do nothing but star at the incoming pair of Eagles playing a game of chicken that they were determined to win. Lavina and River would brace for impact. THWACK! The pair succeeded and Evelynn fell to the ground. One might think this would have been an obvious attack to see, but be it sheer luck or sympathy by the announcer for the blue teams unfortunate fate this match, the pair would not be told to take a penalty lap.
Success or pride may have crossed the pairs mind, momentarily distracted. Scarlett took this as her cue, sending yet another bludger at the pair. There was no hope. Both Lavina and River were already exhausted and in pain from the relentless attacks. They both fell to the ground. With an uncanny skill, Scarlett once again landed her blow where it bounced off the pair and went straight for Melissa. Despite an attempt to evade, it was a weak attempt. She too went down. They say fate may be a cruel mistress, and she would not take mercy today. With five players fallen to the ground, Ravenclaw would be the underdog in this match.

Catch attempt 2: 1d20+13 = 9+13 = 22
Evelynn does NOT catch the snitch.
Evelynn was a skill seeker. She knew the risk she faced each additional round. Despite many attempts to take her out, she had not been phased. Seeing a glint of gold, she raced off. So close came the snitch she could see the win nearly in site. Her hand out stretched, she could almost feel the wings nearly gracing her fingertips. With a sudden change of direction, the snitch evaded her. Though the ball was not sentient, it was as if it sensed the two birds flying up on either side of Evelynn. Try though she might, she could not escape them and with the same tactics of real Eagles, at the last minute Lavina and River descended from above, flying straight into Evelynn, knocking her off her broom.

Scarlett could barely breathe - she was that excited. They were doing so well! How many Ravenclaws were down again? As Scarlett whizzed round the pitch, searching out the broom with the Ravenclaw Seeker on, she did a quick tally in her head. The first guy, the curly-haired girl, and then the Ravenclaw Seeker - but she had been caught by someone else and was now sharing the broom with said 'someone else'. Scarlett obviously had to knock the pair off their single broom, because if the Seeker was out, then they had to bring in the second-string, who hadn't seen the snitch yet.
Speaking of Seekers, had Decipio seen the snitch yet? She saw the redhead take a tumble from her own broom to land on D'Spacito's one (ugh, she hated that guy). Scarlett gritted her teeth in annoyance, glimpsing the broom who had knocked Decipio off. Lo and behold! The Ravenclaw Seeker was on that very broom, along with some other brunette.
"Gris, they're over there!" yelled Scarlett, over the noise of the commentator, the referee, the crowd and the players. She gestured wildly towards the pair and zoomed off. Her Beater partner arrived first, sending yet another perfectly aimed Bludger towards their target. They were hit, but it didn't knock them off. And that was where Scarlett came in, slamming the little metal ball towards the broom. After Gris's attack, the Seeker and the other one were probably weakened, so Scarlett's bludger sent them tumbling off their broom. She winced again. There were probably quite a few people lying unconscious on the ground, which made her feel a bit nauseous. "I'm sorry about that!" she yelled as they went down. Though they couldn't hear her, it was enough to ease her conscience a little.
The perk of her broom was that she could 'ricochet' the bludger off to another target. With a smooth whack, she sent it to one of the redheaded Ravenclaws, who promptly fell. A smile grew on her face again after her guilt from the bludgering of the Ravenclaws faded away. This was Quidditch. This was awesome. "Whoo! We got this Gris!"Action Doing as Strategised

@Rafael D’SpacitoAlright, a quick penalty lap! Quick quick, quick as a rabbit! Piérre hurtled around the pitch (as he perceived to be) at light speed. He kept an eye on his surroundings, but was relieved to find that nobody had him in their crosshairs. Evelynn had been unfortunate enough to be pinched between two players and a blatch, but she was caught by Rafa...
Piérre felt himself grinning ear to ear as he watched the two of them. They really were the mama and papa lions of the team, even if they did argue with one another a lot.
One lap complete, Piérre darted back into the game, eager to cause some mischief.

Henry watched the game on the edge of his seat. He had almost forgotten that Sylvain was there next to him, he was so engrossed in the events unfolding before him. They weren’t doing so great. He watched as Gryffindor got more goals and people got hit left and right with the balls. He was aware the game was dangerous, but he hadn’t thought that other teams would try this hard to knock someone off their broom. Not only did the hit look like it hurt, but the fall looked awful, too.
His excitement and nervousness quickly turned to horror as he watched Lavinia and River fall off their brooms. They had so many team members down. Wait, River was the first-string seeker. Horror turned to terror as he realized he was in. He barely knew how to play and didn’t have all that much practice. He was sure to get knocked off his broom, too. Still, they needed him in so that the game could go on. Hopping onto his broom, he took off toward the rest of the action.

It was a good thing that Evelynn had peeled off when she had. The shock that had permeated the Gryffindor captain's face at her—as he would mentally consider it—selfish decisions would go unnoticed. Even the whip of the wind would work to mask the venomous words he had spat at her in retort, but it would quite be enough. She would hear them all the same, his words chillier than any gust could be. And yet, paradoxically, they had only served to flare the fire within her. He had undermined her authority one too many times, recently going so far as to suggest that she was wasted space as a co-captain. That she neither pulled her weight nor offered anything of value to the team.
He had even suggested that she was barely competent as a seeker. Evelynn had a great deal of patience. She had been raised to swallow her pride for the greater good. This, admittedly, was better executed in theory than in practice; and she knew that. She yet had a ways to go before she would be able to fully control herself and stop her pride from getting the best of her. Nevertheless, the nature of her rearing still meant that she at least had a lengthier fuse than many. Certainly more so than him, or the company he chose to keep. But with every interaction, he burned away just a little more of that length. And after seeing Pierre's expression coming back from the penalty lap, he snuffed flared what little was remaining. He had gone too far. He was beginning to piss her off.
She would have to deal with that matter another time, however. For now, the call to catch the snitch sunk just a little closer to home than she might have liked. In the distance, much closer to the snitch than Evelynn's current position, Dewlight had aligned herself with an alley-oop. Their formation could have left much to be desired, but Evelynn really wasn't one to talk with that. She'd only ever managed to successfully execute that move once during a practice, and never during an official game. The reliance on another person made it tricky enough; but that it could be so drastically impacted by the slightest delay or premature release of the hold made it a rather precarious strategy. And with just how disoriented it left the seeker immediately afterwards, she often found it better not to bother with an attempt.
Luckily, this had been one of the cases where it hadn't gone quite according to plan. She had a chance. Flattening herself against her broom, Evelynn kicked herself into high gear. Then, tilting forward, allowed herself to cusp slowly over the edge of the curve where she almost seemed to hang for a moment like a rollercoaster right before a drop. Then drop she did. Gravity and broom worked in tandem to draw her down. Crimson tresses whipped out behind her, lost against the crimson of the uniform flapping wildly in her wake. Storm-torn eyes welled with tears with the pressure of the air and breathes came in gasping gulps as the air seemed to resist inhalation.
100 feet. 90 feet. 70 feet. 40 feet. She was gaining ground upon the snitch at an alarming rate. The path was cleared. It was as though someone had laid out the red carpet just for her. A tilt of the broom and she spiralled the last portion of the descent. Closer. Closer. The snitch drew ever larger to the point where she could make out its individual wings. She couldn't breathe. Whether it was the speed of the chase or the excitement of a victory close at hand that had stolen her breath, she couldn't say. So close. 10 feet. 6 feet. 2 feet. She pulled a hand from her broom, eyes wide in concentration so as not to let this moment slip through her grasp. Sore all over, she ached for the victory. She could feel the churning of air from the flutter of its wings, the cold of the metal as fingertips brushed just barely against its contour. Almost. Just a bit more...it was hers—
The snitch veered suddenly. Unexpectedly. NO!
Evelynn snapped a hand back to the shaft of her broom in an effort to pull herself up from the dive and adjust her trajectory. She overshot a touch, necessitating her to sweep around; but in doing so, she had lost much of her speed. It allowed the eagles—no, the crows—to flock. Oh how the regal and dignified had fallen. Evidently, Ravenclaw had stooped to new lows in their attempt to scrape a recovery. One to either side, Evelynn suddenly found herself swallowed by the murder. Knees knocked as they blocked her in (per description of the moderation). A new kind of panic swelled in her. It was one thing to take a bludger, or to be hit broadside by a blatch. Those were sudden instances. You either dodged, or you didn't. But here, in this, she was trapped.
They kept her on course—on their course—despite her attempts to peel off from it. The worst part about it, however, was watching the pair heading straight for her. Trepidation showed in the whites of eyes with the growing realization that she was about to be hit head-on and there was nothing she could do about it. When a last ditch effort to drop the nose of her broom failed, Evelynn flew up her arms to protect her head, shrieking in pain with the shock of the impact. By the time her mind stopped reeling and the pain subsided to a manageable level, she was already free-falling. Her heart lodging firmly in her throat was the only reason she didn't leave a trail of screams in the wake of her chaotic descent.

The crowds, populated by the small congregation that was the Hogwarts student body, never ceased to surprise the young Captain in the sheer audacity it radiated, the very vibrations of their voices shaking the Gryffindor to his very core in excited anticipation. Yet, no amount of enthusiastic shouting nor animated gestures could rid the young man of the uneasiness that was now beginning to settle in his stomach – he couldn’t focus on the ball, focus on the movements of his fellow chasers, nor the bludgers circulating the air, the way his blue tresses were sticking to his sleek headband. Any movements in opposition to his mental distress was in vain, for the redheaded seeker that had so brazenly invaded his game mindset had stolen right from him the attention he had been errantly focusing on the match. The seeker’s words still reverberated throughout his mind, an endless echo of pitchy disturbance that drew his gaze towards her quick and nimble form every other moment, despite the impending projectiles and numerous other actions circulating the pitch.
He was still amazed – astounded, really – at the girl’s fearless and decisive mutiny against his leadership, her ill-willed attempts at his advances on the goals. Never before had the co-captain performed such a feat during a live game, a fact that did little to quench the odd feelings of distrust mulling about in the stomach of the young Quidditch Captain. A spark of distrust resounded throughout his chest at the mere thought of the team losing their star seeker due to a few mutinous decisions – would it be ambitious of him to keep an eye on her, make sure she didn’t further endanger the game, then? Perhaps. He needn’t break formation, there was surely plenty of room to catch a Quaffle in the midst of his side mission. He was for keeping people in the air, regardless.
Having made his decision, he shortly banked right on his broom, arcing near midfield as to take account of the field and gather his bearings. It would seem as if the Lions had scored again – this was a fact that did nothing to stifle the pride he held for his house, and he would allow himself the pleasure of that pride, if only for a mere second, a small yet radiant smile pushing up on his face and brightening his demeanor. The group’s blood, sweat, and tears were finally paying off, in the least pushing the Lions closer to the championship position then ever before since he’d been a part of the team. But, of course, it wasn’t over until it was over, and Rafael would be a fool to ignore the raw willpower of the Ravens.
He’d been bested by the former Captain before – once bitten, twice shy, they said? A bout of uneasiness settled in the depths of his stomach, his brown doe eyes zoning in on the lone chaser on the field. She was damned good, her flying not unlike a fish flitting through the water. Cecily Quinn, he remembered offhandedly. If she was anything like her predecessors, then it was very possible that she had some sort of wild card up her sleeve – because that’s what Ravenclaw did, wasn’t it? Force their brains into their small numbers, push their mind power into their offense? And it wasn’t as if the young Captain hadn’t heard of their Captain on the benches, either. He’d never properly met Sylvain Indinarys, nor gazed upon him from afar, so it was no wonder that the name had raised an assortment of question marks upon first seeing the roster for the game. Which made the Thunderbird slightly uneasy – it was impossible to evaluate his risk factor, whether he was a threat to his team or not. It was impossible to know what cards were up his sleeve, what cards were up both of their sleeves. What was going on in their bird brains? Something no one would see coming until it was too la –
FUCK.
If he had been any deeper in his own thoughts, perhaps he would have never caught the flash of red and yellow falling unabashedly through the air ahead of him. Evelynn had been knocked? As I’d thought, he deduced with a distasteful shake of the head as his reflexes jerked into action, carrying him forward in a practiced and perfectly executed movement. Forward, lean gently, dip, thud. His hand reached backwards to fist a chunk of the seeker’s robes near the shoulder, grunting slightly as the broom jerked backwards at the sudden shift in weight. Then, shifting so that the weight was evenly-distributed, his broom began picking up speed once more, albeit carefully, giving her a few moments to catch her own bearings and get a grip on the mahogany handle. His eyes flitted towards another familiar figure approaching from afar – had Anastasia had the same thought as him? Aish, she had gotten lucky. He sent her an annoyed roll of the eyes and shake of the head, as if saying, what a fucking inconvenience. It looked like he was on garbage duty again. Bother.
* * *
A shadow crossed over Evelynn’s face, the sky darkening to black. With her countenance framed with the whipping of hair and uniform, she was left to see nothing else. Just the encroaching void of nothing as the only view she had was sapped away in an instant. For a fraction of a moment, she was sure that she was about to lose consciousness. That this, like last time, was the onset of senselessness as she succumbed to the pain of the collision. She hadn't felt the impact of the ground last time. And as tears formed at the corners of her eyes to be whisked away by the wind, she prayed to her God that the professors would not fail her now in slowing her descent yet again to the unyielding earth racing up to meet her.
But a second passed, and then another, and the impact never came. Eyes clenched shut, she didn't see the distance grow between herself and the dreaded floor of the pitch. She felt it, however. The gravity, it was all wrong. No longer was her stomach in her throat, nor her clothing batting around her face like an owl attempting to scold her for not rewarding its delivery of post. Awareness of the handle supporting her weight gradually developed, as did the realization that something—no, someone—was grabbing her uniform to keep her in place.
When that grip let her go, she still hadn't quite taken over her own balance. The sudden release left her body to start falling backwards. Eyes flew wide with the sudden realization that she was about to fall if she didn't grab hold of something. Reflexively, her arms shot forward, wrapping themselves around the figure sitting in front of her to anchor herself firmly in place. Her head rested peacefully against the boy's back, and she took a moment to steady herself. It was always like this after a fall. She'd faced a great many things at Hogwarts, but she doubted she would ever be able to be entirely calm after being sent careening.
"Thanks, Pierre," she muttered in relief, appreciative for his swift intervention. Yes. Pierre. Right before launching forward to secure herself against her saviour, she had glanced the number upon the back of the uniform. '13'. Chest heaving, she took a series of deep breaths, exhaling each one through pursed lips until she had found her center and her calm.

Rafael chuckled, slightly smug as he took into account the arms wrapped about his midsection. Perhaps he’d keep his mouth shut on the matter for the time being, allow the revelation to sink in on its own. Let her embarrass herself, overlook his assist. She would have to admit to failure at one point or another. Not breaking pace, he jerked his handle right, eyes scanning the field for a quick route down as he neatly avoided the impending disturbances on the small field with gentle, almost avian turns. “Damn,” he started pointedly, his voice calm and collected, and very much audible over the whistle of the chilly air, “You are just full of surprises today, aren’t you?” His words may have been docile, his demeanor relaxed upon his broom as he flit through the air, but his intentions were far from innocent. “I suppose I’d thought higher of your performance on the field. Your leadership leaves little to be desired, but I suppose we all have our off days.” Some reconciliation there in the end – he should give her no reason to twist his words. She was so good at twisting his words.
* * *
The whiplash she sustained when ‘Pierre’ spoke was almost worse than the collision from the Ravenclaws. Recoiling mentally and physically, Evelynn couldn't let go of him and push herself back fast enough. Eyes widened all over again as she put as much distance between herself and the lie as possible. Naturally, this meant a quick shot of her hand to clasp around the mahogany handle to stop herself tipping over backwards. She barely managed to hold on. Then, as her eyes searched that number again to alleviate her confusion, she realized her error. The fabric had been wrinkled to hide part of the number. It wasn't '13' at all. It was '18'.
Which, of course, seemed like an obvious thing now that she had her faculties about her and was sitting more upright. Her mind had been reeling, her awareness honed in on survival and that which was just immediately in front of her. She hadn’t seen the blue tips of his hair as he bent over his broom after catching her. Even the size difference hadn’t tipped her off. Keepers wore more armor and padding than the rest of them which closed the gap in their relative bulk. Her lips curled in a sneer. Had D'Spacito turned to face her again, the disgust would have been evident on her features.
"Yes, you've made your opinion known about my 'leadership' since the start, haven't you?" she shot back in irritation. Try as she might, the embarrassment of having mistook him for Pierre in the moment gnawed at her. It reflected in her partially misplaced ire. "Pray tell. If running practices, helping with private training sessions, setting a standard for personal practice, and strategizing our games doesn't fulfil your deluded notion of 'leadership', I'm not sure what does. Perhaps you're mistaking the word to mean being a tyrant and commanding people do something they don't want to do. I saw the look on Pierre's face after that blatch." The venom in her tone only increased with each word.
* * *
Ouch. That… hurt more than anticipated. The Captain was surprisingly happy Evelynn couldn’t see his face, the way his idle smile wavered, cheeks heated in the very slightest at her well-placed insult - he already felt shitty over his call, but stressing over it further wasn’t going to help anyone in the moment. What had happened, happened - if she wanted to waste her energy trying to dig her claws into his pride, she could do just that. At least, this was how he rationalized matters in his head. Glancing backwards with a raised eyebrow, he managed quite the impressive unimpressed look, the clicking of his tongue just audible over the wind. “You’re right, actually,“ he breathed with a happy exhale, turning his docile eyes once more towards the field in search of opportunity. “I’ve never trusted in your judgment as a leader. Today is only a testament to my reservations. I mean, really? You, strategize?” Ah, seeds of doubt, sowed by a careful hand. He didn’t suppose they’d take root, but trying never hurt anyone. “Please. It's not like I go behind your back, or anything - if you’d done what you were supposed to, perhaps you would have known about the blatch. It was preplanned, you know.” It hadn’t been in the strategies for very long, admittingly - on the contrary, the change had come at the last minute, a quick adjustment to the former strategy they’d sketched together a week prior. “Anyways, you really shouldn’t wear yourself out over things like this. You’ve got to use that energy of yours for something other than running your mouth.”
* * *
Very rarely did Evelynn show signs of anger, and when she did, she tended to take after her mother; she got quiet. Here, with the speeding of the broom and having to battle against the rush of wind, she had to keep her voice elevated. She was almost shouting. The upset in her tone mixed with that, roiling, bringing emotions to the surface that she would have rather have kept buried and pushed down. She was frustrated. Tired of D'Spacito's hypocrisy. Of how he treated her. Of the way that he tried to twist her words and actions to frame her as something diabolical. Unbidden, tears welled at the corners of her eyes all over again.
"He was crying!" She hissed, a fist hammering dully in frustration against her thigh.
* * *
“And I don’t take fucking pleasure in that!” he hissed, before catching himself. Foolish - and he’d thought he’d been careful. Hesitating, his eyes hardened upon the field beneath them, eyes searching for an opening. Then, after a beat, he tried again, sweeping to the side as a player distantly approached from the right. “Unlike one whiny bitch on this team, Pierre’s my good friend. If I’d known he would have been upset about it, I wouldn’t have put him on blatch duty. I’m not a fucking sadist. Of course, that’s what you’d like to think, yeah?” He bit his lip, closing his eyes tightly and exhaling in frustration. And the game had started off so nicely - well, that was enough bickering for the time being. Having said his piece, any further insults fell upon deaf ears as his attention towards the conversation was promptly redirected towards his search for opportunity. Wait - there? A break in movement. It was perfect. “Now, we all know you can at least catch a snitch,” he continued, very seriously. “So how about you end this fucking game already?”
* * *
“Friend,” Evelynn echoed, reining in a part of her anger to exchange it for a healthy dose of cynicism. “If he were your friend, you would know that he dislikes blatching. Have you even stopped to consider asking your team members what they are and are not comfortable with before declaring your ‘strategies’?!”
She wanted to continue, to give him every little piece of her mind, but she had lost him. She knew that intrinsically. He wasn’t listening anymore. Plus, as he dipped the nose of his broom and began to pick up speed, it became clear that it wouldn’t matter how hard she tried to verbally fight back. Every word would just rip from her mouth to be discarded behind them like the trash he so obviously believed it to be. Every time she thought his arrogance couldn’t elevate any further, he set the bar just a little higher. It boiled her blood. All the more so with the fact that she couldn’t even deny that he’d had a point. They could bicker until the sun set. But only after she had caught the snitch and secured Gryffindor’s lead in the Quidditch cup.
* * *
Not waiting for an answer, he took the moment to lean forward on his broom, tuning out the unnecessary noises of cheering and idle conversation and focusing his attention on the break in the field. If he played his cards well, used the maneuver he’d been working on, perhaps he could put her on the ground and still save some time for a bonus maneuver of some sort, whatever the moment called for. “You should be damned happy I’m fast. I would hold on.” If he couldn’t drop her off his broom, he’d at least have some fun with simulating the experience for his passenger. With such an ominous declaration, the seeker would immediately notice an unnatural, sickening drop, the same sort that signaled the drop of a roller coaster, the Captain positioning the nose of the broom towards the bright green grass as his speed began to rapidly increase. The air whistled past both of their forms, growing louder the farther they dove.
Admittingly, when the young Captain first tried this maneuver – right after the first game of the 2020-2021 Season – he’d very nearly destroyed his broom. It was, of course, no secret to anyone that the Captain was far from a fearless figure, as was firmly established among his peers during times of high-anxiety and strife. To many, Quidditch was a pastime, but to real, committed players, such instances that partook in a game were no different to the painstaking adventures of Hogwarts, at times little to no divergences between their dangerous and brutal dynamics. Proper shame was also no secret to the young man – that bastardly creature had haunted his burdened soul from the moment he’d walked off the field of that fateful first game, and had been most unmerciful in torturing his miserable being until as of late, particularly the week prior to the activities of the present. Never ceasing to remind him what failures he was capable of under the right circumstances. Alas, failure, no more. It had taken weeks upon weeks to sharpen this maneuver to perfection, a hazardous action that had tested the Captain’s bravery as well as his determination – and today was as good a day as any to test it in action, if not for himself, then for his team, for the haughty seeker seated stiffly behind him. He only hoped he could account for the extra weight… damn, she was heavier than he’d anticipated…
* * *
All concentration soon became needed just to hold on to his bloody broom. Her pulse pounded in her head with the rush of adrenaline at the dive and the beat of her annoyance. He spoke of risk and unprofessionalism and here he was taking her for a nosedive that neither of them had practiced together. Sure, she had executed a similar move on her own and with a number of her other teammates, but it was a very different experience as driver than as passenger. She didn’t have the foot rests, nor the same length of handle that he did. And he was miles ahead in sheer brawn. It was all she could do not to get thrown off by his pig-headed rush. And he had the audacity to chide her about risk and brazen moves when all she had done was to speak her mind while he lofted a quaffle at an open hoop. It was something he was capable of doing with a bludger barreling towards him.
* * *
The whistle was deafening now, loud and shrill as it pierced the air so acutely the vibrations were tangible through the broom handle – the same whistle that had earned the young man his first-year nickname, he couldn’t help but think with a pang of smugness. The flaps of his robe rapped against his thighs, the wind rushing through his soggy blue tresses and pressing it straight against his eyes, very nearly obstructing his view of the lovely green grass below, growing closer, closer, closer, until –
The Captain’s careful hands gripped the broom handle, jerking it quickly to the right – momentum worked with him in this instance, science and magic joining together to create a perfect arc ending just shy of five feet above the benches. The very force of the movement would be enough to send someone flying, should they not be holding on correctly - should Evelynn still be attached, she would be lowered to the ground a bit rougher than could be considered usual, though the Captain’s face would do nothing to betray his true emotions towards the young woman. “End the game, for God’s sake,” he would tell her sternly, before kicking off the ground for added momentum, slowly picking up speed once more. Hopefully there was still time for another play - perhaps someone to kick off a broom, if only to relieve his latent frustrations.
* * *
Evelynn didn’t even bother to wait for him to come to a complete stop. The moment he had slowed enough that she wouldn’t kill herself by an unfortunate fumble, she hopped from his broom to her own. So swift had been the descent that her own broom hadn’t even fully returned to the ground. Landing astride its length as it hovered yet a handful of feet from the ground, she immediately sped off without so much as a backward glance. Her captain wanted a snitch? She’d get him a bloody snitch. And then shove it into his face until he choked on it. Granted, she doubted even that would shut him up.

Stats: Stamina: 10 || Evasion: 4+1=5 || Strength: 9+1=10 || Wisdom: 9+1=10 || Arcane Power: 2 || Accuracy: 8 +2 = 10
Abilities:
INTERCEPTION
When a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This put the quaffle in your and by extension you teams' possession.
Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect.
CATCH
Able to catch two falling players on your broom when playing Quidditch. These additional caught players would be brought to the ground safely and they would be allowed to retrieve their broom and enter play again the next round. This can be done every round as the player's action if they choose to do so.
With brooms that have the feature where an additional player may be caught (such as Bluebottle) where there is a stackable chance of failure with each additional person caught, there is no stacking failure chance for players with this ability.

Quidditch Game
After their Chasers did a few spectacular scores for the Gryffindor House. Griseldis strongly believed in her teammates that they would do very well with their tasks and she would do the same as well. Alongside her Beater partner Scarlett, they had to do their best. Their new main task now was still the same: attack their rivals' seeker!Interacting with @Scarlett Aden
Mentioning @River Dewlight @Lavinia Cloven @Bloom Silverton
@Evelynn Decipio @Rafael D'Spacito
Gripping tightly onto her Silver Arrow, she wasn't surprised the Ravenclaw team would prepare someone to save their seeker but that wouldn't stop them. Hearing her Beater partner's yell, Grieldis gave her a nod and said."Thanks! Now let's go! We have to do it again!", knowing her partner would follow her immediately, she turned around and raced towards them. This time, she was going to strike first. Griseldis was able to land a solid hit at the pair but it wasn't enough to knock them off the broom. Despite sharing the same broom, the Ravenclaw pair tried to flee as quick as they could, away from them. That was when she noticed a familiar face among the blue eagles, "Bloom!?", Griseldis didn't really know that her childhood friend was a Quidditch player as well so it did surprise her a bit. Oh no!? She noticed that the Eagles attempted to use Parkin's Pincer in order to trap Evelynn. Her heart almost stopped when she watched their seeker got knocked off her broom. Thank Merlin! Their captain was there to save her just in time.
Relief that their seeker was safe, it was time for payback. Now it was Scarlett's turn to attack and with another successful hit, not two but three Eagles got knocked off their brooms! Well, there was no time for sympathy. Griseldis let out a cheer and would go high five Scarlett, "You're so wicked, Scarlett!" Even though it seemed like the Gryffindor team's morale was now higher than the Ravenclaw team at this very moment but as long as the game still going, there would be a possibility that things might turn around against them. However, there was nothing wrong for staying positive.

[/font]Now there was barely any time to celebrate being rescued from a devastating fall before the next incident hit her with a force she couldn’t even comprehend.The pair, Lavinia and River, had attempted their next move, and though it wasn’t a complete fail, perhaps it was part of the reason why things would now be moving… down, for the two of them. Perhaps it was because their attention was somewhere else that they didn't manage to void the attack coming straight for them.
River didn’t have time to register what had gone down before her frail body was plummeting towards the ground for the second time in this match. She hadn’t been paying attention to how high up they’d been, so she had no expectations of how the landing would be. Though she knew it would be nothing but painful. It felt like she was falling in slow motion, very much like the time she tumbled off her broom after being hit by her own spell. Giving her time to surrender to gravity before she impacted the ground with a great thud. This was not how she wanted her first game as first-string seeker to go. But in quidditch there was no guarantee of a pleasant game, and she knew this well.FOR MODERATION

ReducioThis was a play that Lavinia didn’t agree with her captain on. Her team’s seeker, River Dewlight was on her broom and instead of trying to catch the snitch they were going to do a Parkins pincer with 2 other teammates to try and knock Gryffindor’s seeker off their broom. It made some sense in the long run to try and get rid of the biggest opponent but why couldn’t they just worry about getting the snitch and ending the game. Instead of trying to argue, Lavinia, with River, started her motion towards the seeker. In the process of getting in position a bludger came at them and unable to dodge it hit them, almost knocking them off.Mentioning: @River Dewlight @Evelynn Decipio
With a little less strength then before, they preformed they move and surprisingly knocked Decipio off her broom. Unfortunately she got caught in the process of falling to the grass. Out of nowhere when she was trying to brush it off and get ready for the next round, a bludger hit her and River so hard that it knocked them off their broom. With no one to save them, they started falling to the ground. Knowing that now there was very little hope for the team, Lavinia could only hope that this game wouldn’t be her last. There was no way that the ground could be as bad as to kill her but you never know with this school. In all honesty she just didn’t want to fall on the ever increasing stack of teammates and was hoping that they either found a way to win or lost with some dignity left.
Then it was black and she hit the ground with a thud.Action: Falling to her death???

Gabriella wasn't going to deny it, the situation was looking pretty dire for Ravenclaw. Most of the team had now been knocked off their brooms, and although there were a few second-stringers, they weren't nearly as trained as the first-stringers. It astonished Gabriella how she had managed to get onto the first-string team herself, in fact - true, there had been a shortage of Beaters, but even so, it seemed a bit strange how she was able to get onto the team.
Gabriella herself, however, had somehow managed to get this far relatively unscathed - even as she and Bloom, a fellow Ravenclaw player, succeeded in bringing Evelynn down using the Parkin's Pincer, she didn't even get so much as a penalty lap. So even if Ravenclaw's prospects were looking pretty bleak by this point, at least Gabriella could say she personally had done well... or wasn't she doing enough...Word count: 148
