Italic = French / Bold = EnglishInteracting with Maximilien de Fontency (@Lindsey Springhall), Charles Alluring (@Henry Knight), @Erin Ryan, and Callie McGregor-Martin (@Lucia Fox)"Maxi is okay," Sylvie replied, although she wasn't really sure why he cared too much. Although, the bouncy Beauxbatons student didn't care much about what others thought about her, so she couldn't really sympathize. Surely he had his own reasons.
"Just friends, then?" Sylvie suggested, trying to ease the awkward tension between them. Those kinds of situations were her least favorite of anything. Everything was just so...weird. "And possibly try to...try to convince our families otherwise?" She was fairly sure her parents, aunts, and uncles would never let her weasel out of the engagement, but it was worth a try. No wonder they'd told her just as she was leaving for Beauxbatons. Otherwise she would've fought tooth and nail for as long as she was able to disband the whole thing. Sylvie hated nothing more than having her choice taken from her.
Suddenly, Charles reappeared next to them, and Sylvie shot him a surprised look. Maybe she was just so focused on the conversation that she didn't pay attention to the world around her, but it was still strange how he continued to simply show up nearby. Obviously it would probably be a good idea for her to work on her observation skills...this was ridiculous.
Then...woah. Another girl, the blonde called Erin, suddenly tried to punch him. She got in one glancing blow before Cassie got in the middle to prevent any more. Sylvie instinctively tensed, worried that Erin might try to hit her friend, who was doing nothing more than getting right in the middle. But fortunately nothing more happened. Nothing violent that is.
Unfortunately, the Charles boy seemed to bounce back unfazed from the encounter. Normally Sylvie wouldn't be so annoyed by that, but he followed up by suggesting she and Maximilien go to the dance together. Just like her mother and father had suggested. No.
"I'm not sure...I mean, I don't know if I'll even go..." The awkwardness was back in full force. She took a step backwards, further distancing herself from the outstretched hand. "And...well..." Sylvie trailed to a stop, her expression one of unrest.

His question lingered in the silence between them. It seemed like Jac either didn't know how to reply, or was actually bothered by the boy's words. Then, her attention moved towards another girl- a seemingly cheerful brunette, whose name Louis soon learned it was Sylvie. "I met her a few weeks after meeting you this summer." His blonde friend informed him, looking albeit a bit confused, or maybe embarrassed. Why? the wizard wasn't sure- maybe she was ashamed of being seen around with him? Despite the worries clouding his mind, Louis nodded, looking down at his feet. "If you want to go and greet her, I can wait here for you." Apparently, though, Jac didn't deem necessary to meet the girl right now, since she continued staying by his side.
"Oh, the broom racing event?" Louis raised an eyebrow. "Sounds cool, I have to say that I am curious about it, too." At the mention of the dance, the boy let out a small, almost imperceptible smile. Just when he was about to add something, the blue-eyed kid's attention moved towards Sebastien, the older student, who apparently overheard their conversation.
"Langue of the merpeople. That's quite an unusual language. I myself know Veela." Hearing Sebastien's words, the boy's eyes light up with curiosity. Wasn't he also the one who knew sign language? He must be so smart! And, he seemed to be nice, too. Sebastien then said something in Veela, proving his earlier point. While Louis didn't quite catch the meaning of his words, he didn't doubt that it was something sweet.
Either way, he returned his attention back to Jac. She seemed to be very open to his suggestion of taking a walk around the lake, so hopefully, he'll have the courage to ask her out there. "I'm not quite sure," he honestly replied to the blonde's next question, "we'll probably meet them during the dinner." With a small nod towards the castle, Louis smiled at Jac. "Speaking of dinner. Come on, let's go and see if their food is as tasty as ours."Louis leaves the thread.

There may be chaos, there may be punches, but Lucas has one thing in his world. One person. Johannes Sauer. A mop of curly hair, oh to run his hands through it. A tall, stoic figure, oh to be led in a waltz by this boy. And god that voice, the smooth, syrupy melody that blends with the harsh sounds of Russian. Lucas runs a hand through his bleach-blonde hair,
[Russian] "Lucas Alexander-Nico Dragamior my darling, though I am sure you already knew that."
Lightly taking the German's hand is his own, Lucas raises it slowly to his lips, skin to skin, flesh to flesh. A soft kiss, a light smirk, before dropping Johann's hand.
A pale blush may creep across the Dragamior boy's face as he looks into the stormy grey abyss that is his companion's eyes, [Russian] "Would you care to get away from this... ah mess? My cousin invited us to dine with her this evening." With a quirk of his left eyebrow, Lucas extends his arm out for his companion to take.
To most, Lucas looks confidant, cocky even, but those who know the boy well would see his neck scratching, his lip twitching and see just how nervous he is. You see, Lucas is head over heels for this boy.

Jacqueline shook her head when Louis offered to wait for her. "It's all right, I will talk to her some other time." she told him. It was true, and plus, she didn't want to interrupt Sylvie's conversation. . . it seemed like she was discussing a serious matter. She looked over at Louis, who was looking at the ground. "Really." she said insistently, sensing that something was a little off.
When Jac mentioned the broom racing event, her friend beside her nodded enthusiastically, telling her he was excited for that as well. "I wonder what it must be like," the girl mused, "To be racing on a broom instead of just flying. It must be amazing." Jacqueline had always loved Quidditch but had never really considered using a broom to race, since speed wasn't really the main focus in a Quidditch match. Now, as she thought about it, she decided she would try speeding up next time she was on a broom just to see how it felt.
An older boy seemed to have overheard their conversation. "Langue of the merpeople. That's quite an unusual language. I myself know Veela." Jacqueline raised an eyebrow at him in surprise. She had never met anyone who could speak that particular language and it sounded interesting. The girl glanced over at Louis and noticed the excited expression on his face. Smiling to herself, she watched as the older boy said something to Louis in Veela. She didn't have a clue as to what he had said, but she was curious. . . the boy could technically say anything to them without their knowing what he had said. "You should go and talk to the merpeople. Just to be sure don't speak while out of water." He advised them, turning away.
Louis eventually looked back at her, then answered the question she had asked him earlier about the other schools. "Yes, that's what I was thinking as well." she agreed with a nod. The boy's next comment made her grin. "There is absolutely no way it can be," she replied, laughing as she followed him into the castle.Jacqueline leaves the thread.

Mentioning @Henry Knight as Charles Alluring.Cassie had no idea what Erin was saying. The muggle-born spoke English and French, not Shakespeare! (Though a ten-year-old Cassie Heather had once tried to read Romeo and Juliet, she had quickly abandoned it, declaring the play to be 'old-timey'.)
Beholden to the needs of their people... She caught the bitterness behind Erin's voice and got the gist; or so she thought. The Prefects here wouldn't help her. That was it, right? That was what the older girl was trying to get across? "Um... Okay then...?" Cassie said, obviously confused. Why would the status of the Hogwarts prefects matter to her? She was a Beauxbatons student. It was her Headmaster who was supposed to protect her if she needed it, not the Hogwarts prefects. Not that that should matter, really; if something went wrong during the trip, surely there would be protocols? Or safety procedures, or something? There always had been at her Muggle primary schools, and a magical school was infinitely more dangerous than a Muggle one, Cassie knew.
"I have no idea what most of that means," she admitted.
As Erin left, Cassie stared after her, a little intrigued. The girl spoke so formally - and Cassie Heather still didn't know what a Death Witch was. But then, the muggle-born caught herself and turned away.
After she had finished talking to Charles, Cassie noticed her friend Sébastien Batteux making his way up to the castle. "I'm going to go get something to eat," she told Charles quickly. "See you!"
She turned, then, seeing Max - wait, no, MaxI - and Sylvie, who appeared to be having an awkward conversation. Cassie grinned over at them and waved to get their attention. "Hey, Syl! And Max...i!" the muggle-born called. "I'm going in, you want to come?"
Whether the other two Beauxbatons second-years joined her or not, Cassie ran to catch up with Berry. "Hey! Berry, wait up!" the girl called out, before reaching him and slowing down. "Hogwarts, huh?" she said, smiling in spite of herself. "Looks like an adventure."Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin has left the thread with Sébastien Batteux, and Sylvie Everett and Maximilien de Fontoncy if they decide to join her.

English | French | code=#7F6000Maxi rubbed his head and twirled his hair with his right hand slightly. Really, he wasn’t quite sure what to say to Sylvie. This girl was definitely nice, though, somehow she wasn’t the type of person he would be drawn to.
“Me? If I don’t get lost in the corridors of Hogwarts, I might attend the ball.” he suggested. “Is not a stranger to balls, you are the same, I believe? Though I’ve never danced in front of so many people. Heard Hogwarts is a large school.”
He became silent again. What should he say? Being never talkative, Maximilien had no idea. Well, he just wished to settle everything before they even happened — including the stuffs with Sylvie. His eyes wandered off again, searching the blonde girl. But he had lost sight of her. Maybe she had went into the castle already, or maybe she was somewhere — somewhere he couldn’t see. Whom he indeed could see was Charles. The lively and flirty Charles, of course.
He sighed slightly, and turned back to Sylvie. He heard someone calling his name…It was Cassie.
“Good. I think I’m going.” before he could even think, Maxi muttered himself in English. It wasn’t long before he found that he was actually quite hungry — and a bit tired. The boy offered a hand to Sylvie.
“It’s nice meeting you, Mademoiselle Everett.” he said softly. “I guess — I’d see you later?” and he lowered his voice. “Hopefully I may settle everything down with my family on my behalf. Stay relaxed and gay, friend — or I should say, sister? You may always see me as a brother that is always there willing to help you.” he concluded, and pressed her hand. “Farewell for now. See you in the corridors of Hogwarts and Beauxbatons.”
Heads up, and eyes sparkling, Maxi chased after Cassie. “I — I’m coming as well, Cassie!” he called. When he passed Charles, he waved at him — maybe the Durmstrang boy wished to come as well?
