Tea Parties and Sneak Outs
"You didn't see that right…?"
Alec was out there for such a long time, Wyatt was half asleep by the time he got in. “Yeh climbed up that tree, didn’t yeh,” he asked slowly and groggily, his eyes shut. The Snake hardly noticed the way he slipped into his Cokeworth accent that he hated so much with the “yeh.” The silly accent made him feel like everyone else in Cokeworth, which wasn’t a good thing. They were all dirt poor and mean there, and his dad used that accent, so Wyatt stayed away from it.
He only used it accidentally, like if he got really mad and started yelling, or if he was tired and couldn’t think to use his oh, too posh way of speaking. Other than that, he stuck with the “old-people way of speaking” that he’d learned from his mom and from Perseus. Yes, it was the snake who encouraged him to speak like that. Perseus was like Wyatt’s mentor from an awfully young age. They’d met when Perseus was 7 and Wyatt was 4. They became good friends immediately.
“Did yeh fall?” The snake asked. Still, he didn’t hear his own accent, and if he did, he’d probably be too tired to correct himself- well, no. Wyatt is never too tired to correct anyone, himself included, but it isn’t likely he’d pick up on it in the first place. Wyatt rubbed his eyes before opening them, staring at Alec with a sly grin and tired eyes. “Told yuh so.” That was all he could say before closing his eyes again.
He couldn’t get much sleep recently, and he was actually tired, so he was going to sleep as soon as he could.

Tea Parties and Sneak Outs
He fell asleep quite easily. And Alec had accidentally had woken him up.It was too late to go back now. Alec sat down on the edge of his bed, turning his attention back to Wyatt. It was interesting. Only a bit ago he looked like he could be up for a few more hours without, but Alec supposed he could be wrong. “Did yeh fall?” Do I look like I fell? Was all Alec could think before the boy spoke again. “Told yuh so.” You know if Alec had actually fallen he probably wouldn't have even been able to climb up. And besides that if he'd gotten hurt and fallen Wyatt would just be up there asleep as if he'd never joined Alec in the first place and Alec had better hope his parents have mercy.Alec pushed the whole odd accent thing to the side. Alec thought the boy was mumbling or something of that sort. Something tired or annoyed individuals did often. Even Alec tend to mumble the slightest bit when he was tired. Besides that, why would Wyatt assume Alec had fallen? Alec wasn't that much of an idiot. Sure sometimes Alec didn't think things through but if it was as unsafe as Wyatt thought it was, Alec wouldn't be doing it. It was as simple as that.Alec turned his attention to the window, staring out at it for a bit before letting out a small yawn. Maybe he'd get some time to himself to go out some other night. While he liked people and didn't like being alone or being ignored, it was nice to have some downtime to himself. And it's also time he should be heading to bed too, it'd be morning soon and after all, he had to get ready for the day, he actually ends up burning down the kitchen. Or finally learns to cook. Both would be accepted outcomes. Even if one was more or so favored, then the other.
