In real life races, you usually keep going to finish even when the winners are announced. So I figure if you want to get satisfaction from doing so, you could if you wanted. But you don't have to.

not at all. what do you mean by remaining people? why are the winners announced before the others are rolled since its possible that they might get better rolls are take over the winning spot. do all 3 rounds get rolled all together? how does rp character posting happen? do they only post after all 3 round are rolled or in between?

Ah, I get you.

Since it's a race, there will be some people who will get to the last round/level before other people do. Those people who get to that round/level before the other people, I will roll to determine initiative roll order and then roll to determine what your score is to see who wins. Once the winners are announced, I will see who wants to continue (who didn't reach that round/level before the main group did) and roll for them like usual until they get to the last round/level. Or you can decide to drop out.

Such as let's say there's 10 people. 8 of those 10 people make it out of Round 3 Level 2 and proceed to Round 3 Level 3 (last level of the game). 2 people don't get rolls that are high enough to advance. I would roll initiative roll order for those 8 people. Then I would roll for each of those 8 people. Whoever gets the highest roll the first is the winner. ETC... But once we have our winners, there are still those 2 remaining people on Round 3 Level 2. So they would be given a choice of continuing (I'd roll to see if they could make it out of Level 2 and go to Level 3 to finish) or dropping out (leaving the game). Does that answer your question hopefully?

No, all 3 rounds do not get rolled altogether. You must have a certain roll in order to pass from Round 1, Level 1 to Level 2 to Level 3. Then once you pass Level 3, you proceed to Round 2 Level 1. Kind of like Broom Racing where some people get ahead of others in Units but others aren't in the same Unit, as some people are farther ahead than others. RP posting would be the same like it is for Broom Racing. Although you won't need to owl with your actions as there are no actions.

It's essentially this.

1) Starter post by mod, welcoming, making sure everyone is there.
2) RP entrance post for each character within 5 days.
3) Mod post starting the game.
4) RP post about Round 1, Level 1 and how the character tackles Round 1 Level 1. You do not say whether you finish the Level, you just RP how your character tries to do the Level. You have the usual 5 days to post.
5) Mod post informing you about your rolls and whether you succeed in finishing the Level or failing it. The mod post will also reveal what to expect on Level 2. If you succeed you go to Level 2. If you fail, you repeat Level 1. If you succeed, you post your character finishing Level 1 and then tackling Level 2 but you don't say whether you finish the Level, you just RP how your character tries to do the Level. You have the usual 5 days to post. If you fail, there will be instructions in the mod post about this too.

It will all become much clearer as the game starts etc... there will be instructions on each mod post.

ok, that makes so much more sense! so after each level requires an rp post? so 9 rounds in total, minimum of 9 rounds of posting? what happens if someone misses a post?

If they miss a post they just fail the level and have to repeat it. Unless they remain inactive for 10 days straight then they get eliminated. Unless they owl or state they won't be available for a time.

I will give instructions with each mod post so you will hopefully understand everything lol
