I saved up enough to get another item to unlock more parts of the castle. What item would come in handy more: the camo cloak or the map of Hogwarts underground?

If you want to post in basement (honestly I don't remember if its been unlocked or not), do underground map.

If you want to post in Forbidden Forest, do the camo cloak.
