Last time a pet was added it broke the site.

You've gotta break some eggs to make an omlette, something something.

Yeah, I think the problem with pets and iNPCs is that the code broke the site. Thus why pets are not allowed for iNPCs like they are for PCs.

I'm just asking as an option for a pet for a PC, not an iNPC

The reason that iNPCs can't have pets is because pets require profile pages, which iNPCs don't have.

Clark is referring to when black cats, lizards, and spiders were added as available pets: when they were added it caused a glitch which changed the pets of everybody who already had one. The glitch was fixed, but it's still complicated to add more pets to the site so it's unlikely to be a staff priority in the near future.

First off, please no one takes it personally. After spending a month on the site, I just want to talk about something that I found unrealistic. Maybe it's been discussed before.

So, I have never been in a roleplay forum without a face claim mechanism before. And despite my suspicions, I found out that this doesn't pose a real problem. But I think if the fact that our characters are 11 years old was emphasised more, we could get a more realistic roleplay environment. Of course, we can't exactly and always use 11-year-old faces, but the use of photos of obviously grown-up people as avatars feels weird at times, at least to me. And I think this is just as important to roleplay realism as the first experience of unintentional magic.

I lack the moderation experience on how to solve this. I just wanted to point out something that caught my attention.

Have a great time everyone!

Some people are uncomfortable with using child pictures.

Alex, are you aware that you use River Phoenix (1991 ©️) image where he was 21 as your avatar. Result from a reverse Google search and then a copyright date search on the specific image.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

It would also be a pain to moderate, faceclaims are changeable for users at all times. We see to it that there are no muscular bearded men passing through as 11 year olds, but other than that it is also hard to tell sometimes what someone's age is. I am unsure what age my own faceclaim has, I think 19 or 20 in the pic I'm using to represent a 15 year old, but she doesn't look that much older imo.
Your own faceclaim is also definitely over 16. It's really something all of us can decide for ourselves as long as we don't blow up all borders.
