hi ! question : can i still make an RP thread happening in Howgarts even if i'm starting as a first year in september ?

From an IC perspective I can't see too many opportunities to do so other than the Masquerade Ball (by which you can do through a registered and approved iNPC if not your own PC). Otherwise I think it would make more sense to start when Summer Camp comes out.

But that's just me! I'm sure other people will have thought outside the box and prove me wrong

yes you can, in fact, you can forward date for around a month or so. Just make sure to add a note of the real date, showing that the thread happened not on the date you posted the thread but another one
(I know this is confusing but ig you can ask someone else if you're not sure)
