Money grabbers, probably. There wasn't anything stated or posted on why they're charging so much to click different buttons.

Even if they may have reasons (unknown to me) to charge money, I don't think half a hundred dollars is necessary to change a few buttons and type a few words.

It is considered bad form in every community I have every participated in to advertise other RP communities in areas besides ones specifically designated to do so. 

I mean, it does cost money to run a website, but that's just ridiculous! Most forums I've been on run off of donations.

I don't see an issue with it, they're just talking about other sites they've been on. It's not like an admin from their site is coming to ours and posting an advertisement. (That's annoying.) Besides, this is the only chat thread I've seen so far, I don't think there is a place to talk about other roleplays.

Advertise? I wasn't promoting people to go to the website. I was only telling them it's a suggested site not to go to..

Well, let me swap to my actual Professor account. 

Most communities do not have an area to talk about other RP sites because that would be counterproductive to them running their own community. That would be like Burger King having fliers for McDonalds in their restaurant. Some RP communities have an advertisement area specifically created for players to advertise communities they are also a part of in exchange for their site being advertised also. This is not the case here, this is a one-sided advertisement first and foremost, and secondly Hogwarts uses Top RP sites, rather than affiliates to advertise their presence.

I was not referring to you Arabella specifically for talking-up another site. But I would really discourage saying things against communities either.
