There is a thread for this, which you can find here - here's a link to the Ravenclaw one We don't have a full forum for each house as there's already a lot of boards but you're welcome to use this thread in a similar way to the OOC chat. Each house also has a games room for house specific games, if you wanted to do that.

Ah I added this into my reply but I think I edited it after you already saw ---

We don't have a full forum for each house as there's already a lot of boards but you're welcome to use this thread in a similar way to the OOC chat. Each house also has a games room for house-specific games, if you wanted to do that. I don't know if we'd add another board as it is a lot to moderate already but it has been raised with staff so we'll see what everyone else thinks.

Okay soooo question. Regarding summer matches. I'm assuming it applies for all 3 sports. During the summer if you happen to win on your iNPC and on your PC, only one of those 2 wins will count. When you win you usually get 1 stat point and 1 hp. So if you happen to win in the summer on your iNPC and your PC (which I see as being hard to do), only 1 of your wins counts. Which I don't agree with. You should get the rewards from both your iNPC win and your PC win.

I think I asked this before and they said the reason why only 1 win counts is because they don't want to give out extra stat points bc it would make you too OP or something. Okay, I get that. But if you don't want to give out too many stat points, why not substitute it with something else? Like 108 chocolate frogs, a camo cloak, a trenchcoat of sneak etc..., a decent amount of money, something that would actually be a nice reward? As it stands it feels as if you win on both your iNPC and your PC, you only get rewarded for 1 of those wins. Yes you get the 1 HP for both wins but that's kind of eh. 1 HP isn't going to make much of a difference unless its a really close race between Houses which hasn't happened in ages. And since you're losing the stat point win, it feels as if you should be getting something else for it. Otherwise, it's like what's the difference between winning and losing?

Both sides get nothing of use. So my question is, can this rule be changed during summer time, so if you happen to win on both your iNPC and your PC you actually get hooked up for both wins with something good? Even if only 1 stat point win counts, it's like can we get something else that makes it feel as if we won for a reason? I just feel as if there needs to be something the winners get in place of the stat point if you only want 1 stat point win to count during summer.

Like, I would even replace a Stat Point with, idk, 10-15 House Points (2-3 homeworks).

So I'm really open to replacing the stat point for a possible 2nd win during summer with anything other than what it currently is which is essentially nothing (1 HP). Like I said, maybe an item that's of use (camo cloak, trenchcoat of sneak etc...), some galleons, a good deal of unopened chocolate frogs, more HPs than just 1 like what Meenauh suggested etc... let me know your thoughts!

What you say implies that you view stat points as a payment for winning, so let me break this down:
Four stat points are available for every player every year and the sports games are a chance for players to claim these. There are limited sports positions for PCs, iNPCs are a chance for other people to win sports too. People with only iNPCs in sports are already disadvantaged in their stat gain, they get one chance to win one stat point a year.

People with both characters in sports have the chance to get all 4 available stat points and in summer rather than one, they have two chances to win the one stat point.

Okay, so I kind of understand why you don't want to give out potential stat points for both PC and iNPC during summer for the reasons listed above but then why wouldn't you substitute stat points during summer (if you win on both) for something else then? Winning does = reward, or else why win?

Also question about the 4 stat points available during the year. Let's say that you lose 3/4 duels throughout the year. Summer time comes around (your last chance) and you win on both PC and iNPC. Would the stat point win from both count as double then since you didn't get any stat points during the whole school year? Or would just one count like usual, even though you got 0 stat points that year.

Every season one stat point is available, they don't double.
As PC you have a go at three of them and if your house wins, all four. NPCs only have a go at the summer stat point.

For the question why win if there is no reward- for IC gain. Most people I know on here play for more than the stat points, the sports make for a fun rivalry situation and can trigger character growth- Personally I would also play if there was no stat gain upon winning.
